From the photos and reviews, the place…read morelooked pretty run-down, so I figured it might just be one of those local hidden-gem type spots. Even after arriving, I almost changed my mind about ordering because the plaza itself looked very old and rough. I brought my girlfriend with me, and she was actually the one who said that since we were already there, we might as well try it. The restaurant is basically takeout only, and the inside is very simple and worn down. That said, the person taking our order was extremely friendly, which made the experience much better right away. After checking Yelp, I decided to order the Indonesian fried rice, BBQ chicken, and fried chicken. The fried rice was easily the highlight. I got it spicy, and it had a nice kick that made it feel more special. I'm not sure if this is part of the Indonesian style, but there were little bits of noodles mixed into the fried rice, which made it unique and really tasty. It also had a generous amount of meat inside, and the portion was huge. It was probably one of the best fried rice dishes I've had recently. The BBQ chicken was solid too. It had that tasty Hawaiian-style plate lunch feel, came with mac salad, and was seasoned well. The fried chicken was a little mixed for me. The crispy outside was good, but the chicken itself had a slight off taste, like it didn't feel as fresh as I hoped. Not terrible, but definitely not my favorite item. Overall, Top Restaurant surprised me in a good way. The place itself is very no-frills, but the fried rice alone makes it worth coming back. I'd definitely return for that.

The staff is pretty diligent on coming around and refilling your glass whenever they catch it bordering empty. I'd say that they are pretty generous with their pours of champagne as well! Spicy Tuna on Crispy Rice: The rice was very crunchy, which was nice! My friend and I really enjoyed it. Mac and Cheese with pulled pork BBQ: Big portion size! I was able to bring it back home for left overs, however, it went very quickly back at home. It was a really good dish. The pulled pork is sweet and the mac and cheese is very creamy. Overall, a very well-rounded dish. Ultimately, my friend and I would be interested in returning to the Canoe house in the future and exploring more of the menu! The staff, especially our server Christop, were very friendly and attentive. It was a great experience :)

They did have a happy hour, but it wasn't anything special and definitely not something you would go out of your way to visit for. My wife and I shared the Loco Moco and a side of brussel sprouts, while my son got the burger and fries. He seemed to really like his burger and fries since he ate everything. My wife thought the Loco Moco was just okay. I probably wouldn't get it again and that's why the one less star. We would probably come here again, but would try something different. But overall, it's a nice place to visit if you're in the area.

They have a small market section where you can grab snacks, sauces, and pantry items, and then a hot food area where they serve ready to eat dishes. I got some pancit, longganisa, and lechon. The pancit was solid, the longganisa was juicy and had that sweet flavor, and the lechon was really good. Moist with super crispy skin. Definitely get the sauce with it, it helps cut through the richness. Also grabbed a turon to finish and it was delicious. Left super full and ready to knock out after. Solid spot if you're in the area and craving Filipino food.

This is a small Market that has a little bit of everything that you're looking for from Southeast Asia. It's like a 7-Eleven, Filipino style. It's fun to look at the various items available here. You will always end up with more than just what you were looking for. I enjoy the cracker nuts, dried mangoes, and specialty dried items. Their selection of items is always changing so I like to look at what's new and on display. I will sometimes ask the front counter what just came in. The Fresh Deli, located up a small incline to the left as you enter the market, is spectacular. The flavor of the food permeates the entrance to the market. They have an incredible selection of fresh made food. It is difficult to make a decision between the different items. I asked for some help from the gentleman behind the counter. I've dealt with Christian, Gabriel and Abraham and all three are knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to explain how some of the food was prepared and the special attention that was given to each individual item. I wanted to limit myself to two items. I decided on the special marinated Beef Caldereta and the Lechon Kawali. On another trip I decided to try the Pork Tochino and the Barbecue Chicken Skewers. I can't tell you how happy I am with the flavors of the food from the deli. Everything was done to perfection. The Chicken skewers were tender and moist with a great barbecue flavor. The Toccino had a nice marinade flavor and was not too sweet. The Lechon was tender and had enough fat to give it a great flavor and texture. I have to admit the Caldereta was my favorite. Great taste, texture, and just the right spices to give it a little kick. The rice and noodles were a perfect accompaniment. All the sauces I was given added to the flavor of all the dishes. At the cash register at the front counter I paid for my items and asked about other items coming in in the near future. I found out that they are not always sure what's going to become available but always looking for something that will make their customers happy. This is truly a family establishment. I found out that everybody there is related. They definitely give exceptional service and quality merchandise, and delicious food. I look forward to coming back and trying many other items both in their market area as well as the Deli.

There was a line when I arrived but the wait wasn't too long. The place was packed but people receive and eat their food pretty quickly. The Lychee Lemonade is smooth and sweet with the drink leaning more lychee than lemonade but I really enjoyed it. It had two pieces of lychee inside the cup. The onigiris were a great size and had a decent amount of filling. The rice is dusted with a sesame seed salt and seaweed seasoning so every bite has flavor. The sashimi portion is small but the pieces are of quality and the dipping sauce is great.I ate inside and the tray presentation was a nice touch with a disposable soy sauce tray provided and a small cup of wasabi. The inside of the restaurant felt clean and inviting with indoor and outdoor seating available. They offer free water in the dining space. There is a parking lot onsite so don't worry about parking.

If you want something lighter, mix it up with a few hand rolls instead. Grab a sake can honoring the Dodgers, and you've got a perfect lunch spot.
