Very rude, inconsiderate and unprofessional. I paid for a dryer I was told would be delivered later that day. I waited all day and night no delivery. The next day, I was told they will have it before 2p no eta just before 2p so I called off work. At 155p I called and the owner told me he would get right back to me. Big Don has tons of previously owned inventory at low prices, and Ed was nice enough to connect me with a repair part to fix my own washing machine. Im very disappointed in this place, used to go every time we needed something when I was younger. So I got my own place and got three items; a fridge, washer, and dryer. The owner himself helped me and then said to call of there were any issues. This guy is a CROOK. I texted that 2/3 appliances didnt work well. Still under warranty I called their maintenance center. Guy came said he had to order a new belt was dryer never even looked at the fridge. Someone came out to troubleshoot my broken dishwasher. Ordered a part and returned to fix it. Well they ordered the wrong part and spent about 3 hours trying to install it. The guy kept sushing my dogs. I was told they had to order another part. 2 months went by numerous phone calls with no response. Finally they called and said they had the part and gave me a date and time that they would come to fix it. They never showed up. We have called numerous times with no response. After talking to Joe the owner, the matter was immediately resolved and young Tim expertly installed a refurbished dryer that works just fine. Joe is sincere, honest, and helpful. This is not the first time I have done business with this company, and I will continue to do so. My mother-in-law is pleased. At her age doing the wash is one of the few things she can still do for herself; it means a lot to her. They used to be great, and now they're, well, not. I used this company for both repair and purchases for the past 2.5 years for a number of properties. They were great until about 6 months ago. Right on time, fixed things right, reasonable fees... But the customer service has gotten so poor that I am looking for a different company to switch to. They don't always show up when they say they will - and I don't mean late, I mean a total no-show. They don't call back when they say they will (for example, to let me know what they found or if something if fixed and I can use it). I bought two appliances from them and both stopped working within a MONTH of purchase time. They attempted to repair (under their 90 day warranty), but with the same customer services issues as always - no-shows, no callback, etc. I hope they'll get their act together soon, and that later reviews will be better. I purchased a new washer on 8/21/19 and it hasn't worked properly from the start. Servicer came out on 8/31 just to tell me he didn't have supplies and "everything is closed for Labor Day weekend so good luck". Called the service number Tuesday 9/3/19 & the customer service rep was rude and dismissive. She said parts had to be ordered & we'd receive a call Thursday. I have purchased used appliance from Big Don's for years. I have NEVER had a problem with their products. I have actually purchased two new expensive GE Profile washer and dryer set, only to have to replace them after a few years and I purchased a Admiral washer and later a simple dryer that won't quit. They (Big Don's) get used appliances inspect repair and clean the units before reselling at great prices. I recommend them to anybody. I needed air conditioner on my first floor. ASAP! I contacted them and they came and measured my windows and noted all of the things that I needed for installation. The 35 dollars that I initially paid was deducted from the price of my purchase. I have new windows so a lift and cage was put in place. The installer told the store what was needed...we talked about it then i paid for it over the phone. The installer came out on time and did an excellent job. I did not have to go to the shop . I did not want to drive into the store and window shop. I googled the model and it was reasonable and classy..,My entire first floor is now cool. My hot water heater stopped working on Thursday night and by friday afternoon, Joe came out, diagnosed the problem and had the new water heater ordered for the next day. Mike showed up at 1:30pm Saturday and hauled the old water heater away by himself and installed the new one. He was extremely professional and efficient. I had hot water by 6pm. Overall, the transaction was simple and costed hundreds less than I anticipated. Other companies quoted me at $1200-1500 or more over the phone and I spent a total of $850 with big don's. My husband and I have used Big Don Edwards Appliances for about 10 years. In the past, we bought a gas stove, washer, dryer and stackable washer and dryer. They are honest and you get 3 months warranty. If you pay cash, you get a discount, as opposed to using credit card. They came to fix our fridge, had to order a part, came back the following day and did the repair. Charge was only about $65! You won't be sorry. read more

A few months ago bought a dishwasher from them. Had to pay $50 extra because all they had was stainless steel. Ok. Was it worth $300 at first I thought so. It was awesome. After a few wks it stopped working repairman came out loose wire no prob. A few wks later no power again repairman comes back this time wasn't installed properly in the 1st place. Worked good until coupl wks ago. 3rd time repairman comes back finds out it needs a new control panel so what happened next last Friday he said they will let big don know to replace dishwasher. Well Monday no word tues no word had to call back they said Thursday it will be replaced with regular dishwasher not stainless steel and no refund for the $50 difference. Ok fine so yesterday came and went got lame excuse not even a callback I had to call them. They said today It will be installed. Still no word. Bought a washer and dryer from them and the washer broke about 2 years later so I had them come out and repair it for $116.00. They said the repair came with a 90 day warranty. The washer stop working again about a month later so I called them to come back but they said that just the part was under warranty and it would be another $75 to repair again.
