I was craving pizza being that my plan was movie night at home so I opt in for the "home alone " pizza special. You get a one topping pizza, large drink, 6 chicken wings (either buffalo or bar-b-q), choice of dressing for your wings, and an additional choice of dressing for your salad. This special comes with a small salad, but upgraded it to a large. My choices were as follow, pepperoni pizza, buffalo spicy wings w/side of ranch, upgraded dinner salad to large w/house dinner dressing (it was delicious salad was fresh) , and a ginger ale for my large drink. The pizza was definitely homemade and fresh, cheese melting and gooey deliciousnesses, all around great tasting pizza. The wings were delectable spicy but not hot. The ginger ale was strong not watered down at all. I selected their house Italian dressing for it was well seasoned complimented the freshly cut tomatoes and the mozzarella cheese. Man has this spot gone down the drain. The be order a few weeks ago and was really disappointed. I thought I'd give it another shot hoping it somebody had a bad day or maybe somebody was training but not the case. I placed an order for the family and the food has gotten worse. I had sausage size garlic cloves in my calzone. Maybe they were trying to substitute for the lack of sausage? The wings were hard, dry and unable to eat. Pizza was soggy and draped in sauce. I love a good pizza. There are some great pizza spots in the Long Beach area and I have rarely been disappointed. This place was no different and was so good. The prices are decent too for the quality you get. It tastes authentic and like love was baked into it. Pizza was a soggy flavorless mess. I live 5 minutes from here and thought I'd pick up a pizza to bring home for dinner. I ordered a medium pizza with all the vegetables plus pepperoni and sausage. $17 because I got a discount for picking it up myself. I was home with it in under 10 minutes, so I'd call it fresh. Well, lots of veggies, piled nearly 2 inches above the crust. Two big handfuls of big, roughly chopped chunks of RAW tomatoes and RAW onions that included the tough ends. Crust was doughy and so limp that slices couldn't be picked up. Just a soggy mess. So, I heated my oven to 475F, removed half of the topping, and baked it. After 15 minutes, the pizza was finally manageable. The crust was quite tasty, but still too dense. The giant vegetable chunks were still too wet. Very little sauce, just enough to make the crust a light pink, so, couldn't really tell what it tasted like. This place has been here 33 years. My guess is that maybe it was a lazy cook. Maybe quality has slipped over time and no one cares. Or maybe they have a lot of friends and it's more a local hangout, and the food just wasn't ever very good. I just moved into my apartment 3 days ago so I had an empty stomach & fridge, everything was closed but big E was open & I believe I was their last delivery of the night. So I ordered a small pizza with pepperoni & mushrooms along with a 6 piece Buffalo wings after having to call the restaurant twice asking where my food was he said "well it's only been 58 minutes" only? & it took about 10 more minutes on top of that. I specifically asked "is my food going to be cold ? Considering the fact it took an hour & 10 minutes he told me "no we have thermal bags" my order came to $29 plus I tipped another 6 on top even though it took so long. Every time I order from this place, I usually order from post mates and it takes about an hour for delivery. BUT ITS ALWAYS SO WORTH IT. I LOOOOVE their crust, it's so fluffy yet has a nice crunch to it. Yum!!! Their prices are also unbeatable. Plus they're open very late so it's the perfect spot for me!! I got their individual small sized, 3 topping pizza and it was the perfect portion of its just 1 person eating. Ugh just so good. But I believe customer support is just as Important. I ordered a pepperoni pizza. I ordered it well done because when it's well done, the cheese tends to stick to the dough a bit better while I'm eating it. Sadly, when I got the pizza home and opened up the box, it was not cooked well done. In fact, it was kind of the exact opposite of well done. When I picked up the first slice, all of the cheese and pepperoni fell off of it completely. I guess this was when I realized that it wasn't properly cut or sliced. No big deal. I took my pizza cutter and I cut it myself. I picked up the second slice and all the cheese and pepperoni fell off of it.
