National Pizza Day today l wanted to support a local place that l hadn't been to before. I called my order in then went to pick it up, parking is challenging, I found a parking right out front. Ordered half meat lovers pizza and the other half was pastrami so yummy. I will definitely recommend and return soon...

This is my go to favorite pizza place! Delivery always very timely. Hawaiian pizza is one of my favorites, very fresh and delicious!!! Highly recommend give this place a try you will not be disappointed!

Medium Canadian Pizza. The dough is soft and yummy! @ojbaylen

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Place can look a lil rough in the evening.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]An interesting set-up where you order in the to-go pick-up area... then just walk few steps next door if you want to sit in and eat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But don't let the place fool you. Their pizza is good! Their dough is soft and just the right amount of toppings. And their Spaghetti w/sausage is really good too. Not too salty, nice meat sauce and garlic bread was soft too. Parking is hard but we were lucky to find a spot in the back lot right behind it. Will come again!

    Overly burnt pizza -.-

Ordered two slices one cheese one pepperoni and was told give us 3 minutes. Got two crispy and burnt pizza slices. They are now closed. I'm shocked you think this is okay to give a customer....

O Canada, our home and native land... As much as I admire the Canadian National Anthem, I wish I could say the same about their pizza. Well, maybe I could if I actually went up to Canada and tried a slice there, but I was really referring to Canadian Pizza in Long Beach. "What makes pizza Canadian?" I thought to myself. I had no idea, and the only reason I got to try Canadian Pizza was because they were on Fivestars. I had a reward for a slice, and I stopped by this pizza shop on the northwest corner of Almond and 4th Street. Since it's 4th Street, you can only imagine how much of a pain parking would be. I parked on Almond and walked south to Canadian Pizza, but as soon as I arrived, I noticed a sign for parking in rear. Did I miss it completely the first time?! However, it was a good thing because the alley leading to the lot in the back is real narrow, and it's the only means to access that lot. The lot is also pretty small, holding about a half a dozen vehicles, so I definitely wouldn't recommend parking there for fear of a head on collision. You'd have better luck finding a spot at Hole Mole just on the other side of Almond, but I'm not actually sure you can do that, even if it's a quick stop like mine. There were a couple of front doors, and I went through the wrong one first. The one on the right leads to their dining area, but I didn't see a counter to place my order. I walked out and back into the other front door, where the space inside was so minimal, but there was a counter to place your order. I also saw the SumUp tablet for Fivestars, but it was off! I wasn't sure why, and from my communication with a couple of their employees, it sounded like they weren't participating in Fivestars anymore? But after I showed the female staffer my Fivestars reward, she decided to honor it anyways. Since there was barely any room inside for customers, I was asked to wait outside, and she'd call me when my pizza slice was ready. I had to stay close to the door so I could hear or at least see her motion to me when it was ready. It was only a couple of minutes before I came back in to pick up my slice of pizza in a triangular takeout box that offers no indication that it came from Canadian Pizza, except possibly the two colors that are the only colors on their national flag. I do appreciate one of the employees offering me a menu when he could tell I wanted to see what other pizzas were offered at Canadian Pizza. I used those couple of minutes to look over the menu and see what would pique my interest on a possible return visit. It was a pretty large slice at $3.40 + tax with the slice being about 1/6 of a large pizza. The taste of the pizza was decent, but the crust looked on the verge of burnt. I still ate it anyways, and it tasted more burnt than it looked. It was only a pepperoni pizza, so I'm not sure how the pizza would have tasted had there been more toppings on there. They also offer cheese pizza by the slice, but I was offered pepperoni without being asked. Luckily, I'm not vegetarian or pescatarian, but if I were either, that would have been a problem, even if the pepperoni could be plucked off the slice. Since I live kind of far from Canadian Pizza, and it's in an area where parking comes at a premium, I doubt I'd return. I did notice that this pizza shop named after our neighbors to the north offers a pizza named after our neighbors to the south. But no American Pizza?? for shame lol

A straight up late night greasy pizza joint. The slice is alive and well in Canada. Here is my favorite quality about this venue. Me: I'll give you $ for a slice of pie. Canadian Pizza staff: I'll sell you that pie. When they finish making the pizza slice, they package it in a form fitting pizza box or coffin--depending on whether you think the pizza is still breathing when it leaves the oven. The pizza has an impeccable pizza flavor--almost as though the staff understands it's not exceptionally challenging to get cheese, sauce, bread, and pepperoni to get along. I usually don't write in response to other Yelp posts. However, I must mention that Ranch here is a gift from the sky. I don't care or know if they're watering it down, not watering it down, adding butter, or pouring straight into cups from the Hidden Valley bottle. I do know that the version of Ranch served at Canadian is a glory to taste, and I would snort it back like a hummingbird making a hover pause at a feeder. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I cannot attest to the ambience here. I usually just take a slice to go, and then see if I can hoover down the whole slice before I reach any crosswalks or breaks in the sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I appreciate that this business legitimately cranks out pizza for the busy grease addicts out there though.

Where is anything? $ 35 dollars!!!

Ok. Paid $35 and some change with a $10 tip for my large, lukewarm pie tonight. The dough was good. Light, fluffy, perfect. #1 issue- the toppings. They could have completely covered a small size quite well, but for a large? So what exactly did I pay for? Extra dough? There was barely any white sauce or cheese when I specifically asked the order taker to please make sure that these two items were plentiful. I mean, I didn't want extra. I just didn't want my sh$t to be dry. It was damn near powdery. It was also bland. How is it possible to have all of these toppings, AND some extra that I added and the damn thing be so bland? I had had a few drinks and liquor makes everything taste better, yet I was scratching my head wondering, WTF... something ain't right, something is missing. So yeah, $45 bucks down. Extremely disappointed. Should have " gotten a clue" when I had to call several times to place the order. The first call, he answered and I was immediately put on hold. When he came back, I asked a simple question and was put on hold, again, for 5 minutes. I hung up. Called again and yes he did apologize and said that "they were busy," but HELLOOOOO, I am a customer who would like to place an order! It did come rather quickly though. And I see why. For $35 dollars can I at least have every topping ( including the ones that I paid extra for) on every slice please? Guess not. #2- issue... people, measure your pizza. I feel like every time I order a size up it comes in the same medium box! Seems like they're just slicing the pieces smaller to make it ten portions when it's actually a medium, which is eight slices?! These slices are for a child! I want my money back honestly. Something has changed with this place. Won't be ordering again. I posted more pics but only one is showing. $45 fn dollars?!!! Measured it this morning. Each slice is "3" by "6"!! And " 6 " is being generous as you can see. A large?!! Three pieces fit in a 1 quart freezer bag with room for a fourth!!

This is how empty the place is.
    Bron A.

This place is ridiculous! They must be short staffed because I called 5 times today and the picked up the phone and hung it up right away so I drove there looked inside and there was no people at all. I called again while looking at staff and no one answered the phone. They seem overwhelmed from take out orders but I only saw two people pick up food. They should hire more people or close shop. I went to the taco shop next door I won't give them business again.

As a Canadian now residing in Los Angeles I was pretty stoked to find a place called Canadian Pizza in Long Beach so obviously I had to come check it out as soon as I was in the area. Thanks to dumb luck and my wife wanting to check out a random store, we found ourselves in Long Beach two weeks ago and figured it was the perfect time to have lunch here. Now, I have many questions and levels of confusion when it comes to this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]First, the inside dining area seemed dark so we went to a little walk in area to look at the menu and order our food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Second, what exactly about this place is Canadian? I have no idea. I assume anywhere advertising themselves as Canadian would have some poutine on the menu or maybe just beaver tails or butter tarts for desert but it turns out outside of "Canadian bacon" which appeared to be cold cut pieces of ham, this place has absolutely nothing Canadian to offer. We ended up ordering "Canadian" which had Pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green peppers, sausage, olives or feta which is a pizza you could get back home, but the finished product tasted almost exactly like a Domino's pizza from the crust to the toppings, in fact, if I was blind folded I would of put my life savings on it being a Domino's Pizzaz. We also ordered the cheesy bread squares on the side but instead were given an order of the famous bread sticks, but sure why not. They were fine and came with marinara sauce for dipping, tasted fine. Overall, I would probably not venture back to Long Beach to eat here again. Did I feel like I was back in Canada at all? No, I'm mostly left confused and questioning if I was served Domino's pizza, but the lady working the register was funny enough so thumbs up for customer service.

We had a great time to find some new hand care products @Lather and went to discover an authentic italian restaurant which lots of Yelpers mentioned. My wife said, we have to order at the front, then they bring the foods to the table but the owner took our orders, and brought the foods so fast just like other Italian restaurant. We love meat lasagna, pasta w bolonese sauce, and some flat breads like appetizer pizza. We ordered 3, lasagna, tagliatelle bolonese, flat bread sandwich called Cassone w sausage, bell pepper, onions. I had some italian red wine per glass ($14). First, I loved so much my lasagna and kept eating until finish my entire portion. I give 10 stars. My wife's pasta, she said pasta is too thick, might be on purpose? She likes soft, thin texture handmade tagliatelle. For the first time, we ordered flat bread sandwich. The sandwich flavor was good, but not the dough for flat bread. Well, we tried here for the 1st time after shopping. Today was almost 81 this afternoon. Hot and humid.....unluckily AC was broken so he opened the entrance door. One big fly bothered a lot annoying us eating the foods. And so hot inside restaurant. Overall, I liked my lasagna a lot, not really tagliatelle bolonese, nor the flat bread sandwich. If AC was working during lunch time. We felt much comfortable to enjoy our foods. One thing, I loved the red wine but the portion was not enough for $14. Even my wife said, not much for this price. I got 2 glasses of italian red wine, not enough. The view was great ocean side from the patio. This is a strong point eating here for the view. My wife saw the live pasta cooking show, a chef made the pasta, stretching the pasta dough in the kitchen....great show! Fun! Hopefully AC runs well especially hot summer season, the portions of pastas and wines might be more generous for the future.

I give it 1 star for the nice owners and family. I give it 1 star for sitting outside on a nice day and enjoying the outside vibe. I give it 1 star for average food. The menu however, has major issues. The bread they use for the garlic bread, the pesto bread, and the pastrami sandwich doesn't hold up. The white part of the bread gets mushy and has a bad texture. That's the case for all hot sandwiches and garlic breads. I recently ordered the chicken parm, and the chicken was cut into small pieces and was burnt. I like my meat cut up in rice dishes such as paella and jambalaya, but cut up chicken parm seems low class and it wasn't great. I also recently ordered the Italian sub. It's a shame you have to pay extra for cheese. IMO, an Italian sub should have both Provolone and Mozzarella cheese. Their sandwich comes with no cheese and is an extra charge. Bummer. Also, they have a variety of Italian-style sandwiches, but none of them have the classic salami, mortadella, and capicola combination which is the authentic combination from my experience. To top it off, the Italian Sub doesn't have red onion or black olives. Meh. There are more menu issues. In the end, there's nothing I find above average. I don't discourage you from going if you're in the mood for a nice Italian meal on the sidewalk outside in nice weather, but there is literally nothing I've found on their large menu that is above average. The menu is flawed in too many ways. At least the family owners seem to be very nice and that goes a long way in deciding who to give my hard earned money to.

I stopped in for a coffee and a side of bacon, and my total was almost $20. For such a simple order, that's hard to justify. I understand food costs have increased, but the pricing feels excessive compared to other local restaurants that serve quality food at much more reasonable prices. My biggest concern, however, is the impact the business has had on our neighborhood. Since Zuzu's Petals opened, we've noticed a significant increase in litter, much of it appearing to be food and drink packaging from the restaurant. Weekend traffic on the sidewalks has become overwhelming, customers often park in alleyways or in unsafe locations, and it has made our neighborhood much more difficult to navigate. We brought these concerns to an employee, but were told there wasn't much they could do. If this business truly wants to be part of the community, I hope they take more responsibility for the impact they're having on the surrounding neighborhood. Encouraging customers to park responsibly, helping keep the area clean, and offering more reasonably priced menu options would go a long way toward building goodwill with the people who actually live here. I always want local businesses to succeed, but right now I can't recommend Zuzu's Petals based on both my experience and the ongoing issues it's created for nearby residents. Also beach cleaning isn't cleaning our neighborhood. That's no support to our neighborhood. Maybe have a neighborhood clean up day instead.

My second visit here, and once again the food absolutely delivered…read more After a long week of work, I decided to take myself out on a solo dinner as a little reward. I came in around 8:30 p.m., knowing they close at 10, and asked if I could sit in a quiet table in the back. The hostess immediately recognized me from my last visit (she even remembered my infamous extra-garlic pizza ), which honestly made me feel welcomed. It's those little things that leave a lasting impression. This time I ordered the chicken Parmesan with fettuccine, along with the dinner salad and garlic bread. Everything was outstanding. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the marinara sauce was rich and flavorful, the mozzarella was delicious, and the pasta was cooked just the way I like it. The salad was fresh, the garlic bread was great, and the portions are incredibly generous. Honestly, one entrée could easily feed two people, so I happily took leftovers home. My server appeared to be fairly new or possibly still in training. She was polite, kind, and genuinely wanted to do a good job. Near the end of my meal, around 9:30, she asked if I would mind moving to another table so they could begin cleaning the back section before closing. I'll admit, I was a little caught off guard and even asked if I was being rushed. She immediately reassured me that wasn't her intention and apologized, explaining they were just trying to get a head start on closing duties. While I would have preferred to finish my meal where I was seated without feeling like I needed to hurry, I also understand everyone has long days, especially in the restaurant industry. I chose to finish up, packed my leftovers, and there were no hard feelings. What really stood out was how she finished the experience. She checked to make sure I enjoyed everything, asked how the meal was, recommended another entrée for my next visit, and even suggested the tiramisu--which was an easy 10/10. I'm glad I listened. Overall, the food was phenomenal, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff genuinely cares about their guests. My only suggestion would be to avoid asking guests to move tables while they're still enjoying their meal, even if closing time is approaching. It can unintentionally make someone feel rushed. That said, this place is a hidden gem on the north side. Great portions, excellent Italian food, friendly people, and an atmosphere that keeps you coming back. I'll definitely be back--just a little earlier next time so everyone can enjoy the evening without feeling pressed for time. Compliments to the chef and the entire kitchen. Highly recommended.

We came in on a Saturday and was unable to find street parking so as others advised, I had my friend watch the car and drive around as I made my way to the shop. The shop was so cute, it's small but with everything you'd need for a cheese and meat party including breads, canned additions/fish, and wines! I grabbed a fresh loaf of baguette to add to the order. Both trays were ready and absolutely fresh. The honorable cheesemongers overlooking shop were very nice and helpful! One female worker was providing samples for a gentleman when he asked for recommendations and my cheesemonger asked what kind of cheese texture I generally liked and offered to give me a cheese from three different animals, which I thought was absolutely awesome! She even offered to help me carry my trays out. The veggie tray was awesome, a great size, half pickled half not pickled, the dips were both amazing! We got the green goddess and Calabrian chili aioli and both were such a hit at our get together. The peppers are slightly spicy and were so delicious. We loved the variety of cheese and did not have a single cheese we didn't like. The petite toasts with the meat and cheese board is a must! So good and crispy and a perfect size for a bite. The trays were really sturdy and we appreciated the care put into the layout. We'll definitely be back Oh La Vache!
