Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Oil Change and Tire Service. I am writing to formally express my frustration with the recent service I received. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation, and there was a serious issue. The technician did not apply the proper torque to the lug nuts, using an impact gun right away instead of starting them by hand, and each must be started by hand to ensure correct the wheel was put on right . If I hadn't stopped them, the bolts would have been driven in improperly, and one rim was left crooked because it wasn't cleaned before installation. I also spoke with the store manager, who initially acknowledged the problem, saying he understood and would address the issues with his employees. However, instead of taking this seriously, he dismissed my concern, saying not to worry, that it would be covered under a warranty. There is no formal guarantee in writing, though, and once I leave, if a tire fails or a bolt is warranty, how will you prove this wasn't caused by me? If it happens on the road, you have no way to verify, and you are simply excusing yourselves by mentioning a nonexistent warranty expect a concrete solution and a written assurance that this work will be upheld. It's a poor value due to tu lack of knowledge how to work in a car. read more

We had a screw in our tire and we drove there with the spare on. They repaired the tire and called us within a couple of hours to pick our car up. They put the spare back where it goes without being told to do so. The staff was friendly and the price was reasonable. They said we could find coupons online. We will be back. read more

I made an appointment and the day prior when in and asked if my car would qualify for the $35 oil change coupon they have on their website. I was told yes and all I had to do was show them on my phone. The next day I went in for my oil change and was told my car needed different oil and the coupon didn't qualify after all. I ended up paying about twice as much. I know it would have been about the same price as if I went to Pepboys, but the one I used to go to closed and was short on time. I just wish they would have told me that the coupon wouldn't work for my car the day before. I feel like they are dishonest and won't be returning. read more

I will never ever give them my business again. My story is too long to type here but after having them tell me that they didn't have a single tire that I asked about and I asked about at least 4 and i got a quote on the tires i wanted an oil change and a couple other things and made my appointment. When i got there they didnt stock a single tire I was intersted but i let him talk me into tires i really did not want and that had to be driven in from shafter. After talking to my daughter i decided i was going to try her tire guy but still let them do the other work i needed done. He informs me that they will be charging me $87.00 for a restocking fee even though the tires were not there yet and wouldn't be for a bit longer. When i told him I would not be paying that that this was highway robbery and they should fix their website to maybe mention that they don't stock a single tire they list on the website and if you do luck out and they have your tire Don't Change your mind!! when he called to tell me my car was ready to pick up i asked him what they were able to do and i was told they would not be able to service me I thought that meant they didn't do the work i needed there but then i realized what he meant is that they wouldn't be doing anything that I asked of them because I'm a bitch because i am not paying them $87 to do nothing. Then he said but im not charging you the restocking fee or the diagnostic on your Ac and tire sensors. Well thats good because i didn't need it when you saw what the problem was. But i guess he figured he would get that money somehow because an oil change cost me $144 and on tge paper work where it says which oil is recommended for my car it says that oil is $5 and some change a quart, but this asshole put in some other oil that was a bit over $10 a quart and honestly I'm betting he didn't even really put that oil in since when is that normal procedure. He didn't even have my cars info right i have an Explorer Limited which is of course a v6 and he wrote it was a 4 cylinder. Stay away from there the one on coffee sucks! read more

Ok ,as I sit and wait right now for all my work . I'm comfortable the chairs are soft and clean , waiting room is always cold when hot , then hot when cold , I've came in the winter and summer and these guys just make it awesome! I also highly recommend their warranties! Have saved me every year . When you go to a place like I do and are a woman you don't want to feel stupid and treated like I'm stupid and know nothing . I came in at 8:30am to get my brakes installed and rotors resurfaced. I only came here because I need to be at work by noon and this was the only place that was open by 7am. I asked how long it would roughly take and I was told that there was only one car in front of me. So I sat in the waiting room. It's currently 11:02am and they told me that my rotors will crack if they resurface them. The grooves in the rotor were not deep. I fell for the buying scheme they often do here. Where you come in for one thing and get told you need to buy something because your car would mess up.. I only did it because I couldn't go anywhere else at the time and I don't trust them to resurface the rotor because I strongly feel as if they would purposely cut too much causing it to fail. Every customer that has come in after me has been told they need to make another purchase of some kind because their car would "vibrate real bad" or "they can't do the alignment because they only bought 2 tires." Every customer has been told they need to buy something. The rotors that they showed me that I would need to purchase was on the o'riely website. I was shown rotors for $93 a piece. I looked online myself with my phone, and I don't see the rotors they showed me for my car that are at that price. I suspect they showed me rotors that are for a different vehicle. Overall this shop is a total scam, and they are only working to fool unsuspecting customers. Lazy, incapable, incompetent people work here. Please go elsewhere and avoid this place at all costs. read more

Hey guys! I just want to warn everyone. I am not a Karen, I don't typically go online to Yelp to complain about a business because usually they are trying their best. Please please DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT, come to Big O tires. Previous reviews have talked about their horrendous service and my parents didn't listen because of cheap prices. They legitimately try to scam you :( they mess with your car in different ways so that way you come back for repairs. Messed with our odometer and told us our brakes were messed up to charge us extra for just a tire replacement. I know other places will cost you more, I suggest buying a tire from Costco and then going to a local mechanic! They do great jobs. Good luck, and please be warned. Stay away. read more

My review is based on last visit at this shop and my interaction with employee Brian. I purchased two tires back in 2021 from this place and warranty was also added. Last month I got a flat, took it to Big O tires and Brian "fixed" it. I was not pleased with the work even after Brian stated I should drive around and take it back if I got a flat or blowout. I bet he wouldn't say that to his mom, wife, sister, or daughter etc. Anyways I demanded a new tire. Brian stated the tire I had the warranty for was no longer on stock. Ugh so he gave me another brand. Brian charged $67.99 for warranty on new tire plus mounting and balance. I asked Brian to do tire rotation and balancing. The tire rotation wasn't done and two weeks after replacing the tire my car started shaking after 65mph speeds. I finally decided to take my car to Les Schwab and paid for balancing as it wasn't done at Big O tires. I do not recommend this business as they obviously do not care about their customers. They sell warranty on tires and soon they claim tires are out of stock to sell new warranty plans. read more

Was dropping my car off for an oil change and to have diagnostics done for the idle air and the tps sensors. Manager was apparently the only one who could drive stick and knocked the clutch plunger out and jammed it in the clutch starter safety switch. I requested it be fixed since they handled my car and he blamed me for and told me to not come back. Manager was extremely unprofessional and rude especially for not owning up and fixing what he broke very sad since I use to have repairs done there. Quality went down hill and service is garbage please don't go there, it's worth it to go somewhere else that's actually professional. This wouldn't have been an issue if they just replaced a ten dollar part and did what I was going to pay for I would have been completely ok with that but cussing me out in the store? Brian did an incredible job repairing one of my tires that got a nail stuck from the side. I had gone to another local tire shop that said that I needed a new tire for various reasons. They quoted me a ridiculous amount for the replacement of 1 tire. I remember asking them if that was a quote for all 4 tires or just 1. After realizing the other tire shop was trying to take me for a fool I dropped by Big O Tires and was lucky enough to talk to Brain. He saw the tire, laughed at the quote I was given, and fixed the nail in my tire in about 20 minutes. Don't let tire shops take advantage of you specially if you are a female. I went here to get my front tires done on my car. After I left, when driving on the freeway, my wheel would vibrate around 70mph. Thought at the time it had to do something with the alignment, so I took it back. After I took it back and then saying that its good to go, the car still had the same problem. I then took my car to a different tire shop to get a second opinion. After putting it on the lift, he immediately discovered that all of the lug nuts on the front right tire (one of the tires they replaced) were only hand tightened and one was COMPLETELY MISSING. Which means when I took it back into them the second time, they never looked at anything. I am usually not the type to write bad reviews, but when I went back in there to voice my concerns, although they replaced my tire for free, they seemed to not care a single bit and took no responsibility for it. If you care about your vehicle I would not recommend taking to this shop. read more

"Eric" quote me for 1500 plus today, I was told I need to get the tires change which I really do need it, plus told me the shocks were super bad that he won't be able to align the tires. Took my car to other place for second opinion, bought the tires but were told that there's nothing wrong with the shocks. They said nothing is wrong with it. I needed a tire repair, or so I thought, which turned into a tire replacement. I spoke with Rick upon arrival. He let me know it would be hours and wanted to know if I was going to wait or come back. I informed him I was from out of town and I would drop off the tire. I had the pretend tire on my vehicle, so I would go get some lunch. He repeated it would be hours and he said he would call to let me know when it was done. I did receive a call when it was decided I would need a new tire. I approved the new tire purchase and he again stated he would call when it was completed. I decided to check on it in person after another hour passed. I was informed that it had been completed for quite some time. Thanks for the call that was never made, Rick! This took place on Saturday when it was cold and raining. He knew that I was having to kill time, yet he cared not. I would only recommend this place to someone I did not like. It was unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and do NOT go to this location. I do not really like this place. I have given them many opportunities to do right. I only go here when I have to. I do not trust most of the workers there. You can just tell your being lied to. I needed some new tires for my Jeep Patriot. Went on the website and was able to find what I wanted. I called the store and talked with Ramon. Told him what I wanted, he didn't have it in stock, but said he could get it ordered. The tires were in stock 2 days later and Ramon called me and said I could stop by whenever to get them installed. Installation took less than 30 minutes, and the new tires look great! Ramon is very helpful and friendly.
