I made an appointment and arrived early for a road service special -- which was supposed to include an oil change and tire rotation. Two hours and ten minutes later, I got my car back with an oil change and no evidence of a tire rotation. I won't be back. read more

Yes I recently had my breaks done on 1/21/23 and 4months after they were Installed began to hear a noise coming from my breaks so I brought my truck back for an inspection only to be informed that everything was fine. I'm now back having the same issue only to be told that it's now my break sensors were to thick and that's where the problem lies. So I pointed out this spot on my rotator and mind you this isn't why he had me out there looking originally. He said oh that's a hot spot and you need new rotators. I informed him even with resurfaced rotators and new pads they should last longer than a year. And now I'm being asked if I want to purchase new rotators and sensors for my truck. As informed the service technician Omar Suastegui who ironically was the original technician that originally helped me the first time through. Omar originally took me out to the shop and pointed out that the problem was my break sensor was to thick and that's where the problem was. I explained to him before I had any work done I wasn't having this issue and all he could say was every vehicle is different and I don't know. I informed him he was making no sense at all and why wasn't this issue addressed when I brought it back 4months after the work was done? He made it seem like a you problem and not a he problem and wanted me to pay for the same items I recently just purchased. read more

I made an appointment on the website for balancing, brake check, and oil fill (low oil). When I arrived, the man at the desk said they don't take appointments on Sundays. I showed him the confirmation. I described conditions of the car. Without looking at it, he told me my rotors were warped (with only 2K miles) and tires needed balanced. He said it would be over an hour for them to look at it, even though I had an appointment. Then I asked if he could just add the oil. He said they won't top off my oil without an oil change. It really sounded like they just didn't want the business. So I drove across the parking lot to Mobil. They added oil, for free (even though I tried paying) AND topped off my washer fluid. I will take the car somewhere else to have the brakes and tires fixed. Two thumbs down to Big O on Coffee. Corporate should address this store's willingness to help customers! read more

I was in a jam on a saturday evening at 530 pm, 150 miles from home pulling a car trailer with a car on it. I realized on of the tires started to bubble up. I called big o, spoke to Ramon, he had to send someone to another store to get a tire. Fortunate for mr, they picked up four. Turns out I probably wound not have made it home on the other three tires. Ramon, david and the closing staff jumped into action and got me back on the road. I had a flat tire on a Sunday afternoon and needed a quick repair so I could get home! Thankfully Big O Tires was open and the front counter guy was Super friendly and helpful( Ricardo I think was his name). I was in and out in no time! i made online appointment at 11am, i actually arrived at 10am. i was told online appointments dont work but they would squeeze me in. i had my newborn with me, i even called ahead of time. i was told in one hr it would be ready. i came back 11:30 and they told me 10 min more, then i checked again 12 i was told 20 min. i go check and they had barely syarted alignment!!!!!!!!! 2 1/2 hra later!!!!!! this is bullshit, i will never come back here again, this is the worst service ive ever had. i wouldn't recommend this place to absolutely anybody. do not waste your time coming here, 3 hrs and still not done and this is with a supposed appointment. unacceptable!!!!!!! read more

Came in to get a tire quote, but left unhappy. Shady business and very unclean building. I asked for the cheapest tires they have available. I was quoted a price for tires on a corolla that cost more than the tires on my sports car!! When i asked why, the adviser said that was the price. I explained this didn't make sense and asked her if this was the best she can do. At this point she came up with a cheaper quote. of course i asked her why she didn't simply give me this price when i asked her for the cheapest tires. Shady business workings like this aren't how i like to do business. Just give me straight up answers to my questions and i will make the decision on whether i will purchase your goods. This Big O Tires is where we bring my boyfriends work vehicle. Basically, the service is so friendly and honest that we decided to start bringing his personal vehicle here as well for tires because the dealership in town has an insane mark up. Even though they have to special order his tires because they are run flats, we have still managed to get great service and get things checked out in a timely manner. The location is pretty convenient because you can wander winco, walk to starbucks, or we have even gone to IHOP while waiting before. There has been one major hiccup as far as an appointment falling through without warning, but for the majority of visits this place has held up for kind workers and squeezing us in when we thought it might be impossible. The waiting area isn't much, but they do have free coffee and a vending machine. Theres also free water cups but the tank often runs out early. We will keep bringing his cars here and perhaps maybe even mine next time I need tires. Thanks, Big O! read more

I am currently filing a complaint at the Better Business Bureau. I just took my car to a trustworthy mechanic and it was pointed out that I have no new AC kit in my car. Not one of the hoses is brand new, they are all old. Big O Tires on Coffee charges me over $1,000 for a new kit and I did not have one installed. I am beyond upset. I have all the receipts showing what they charged me and I have a document from the new mechanic explaining what was not installed. This is beyond insane. read more

These guys have been always so helpful with me, since I bought my tires from them. However, every time I go to get my tires rotated or oil changed from them they always seem to try and get more money out of me by telling me other problems that my car has. They told me that I was missing 2 lug nuts on my wheels and made me pay to replace them. Wouldn't that be their fault since they were the ones who did my tires? Either they misplaced the lug nuts or didn't put them on tight enough. It's things like that that make a shop seem a bit untrustworthy. read more

Scenario: Anytime my family needs tires, oil & filter change service, or a flat tire fixed we go to Brice and company at this location. Product: It's like any other Big O in the sense that they have a wide selection of tires and automotive services. However, I know for a fact that they're tires are a good $20-40 cheaper than in the Bay Area since I bought a pair up there and a pair down here. Service: This is where this store sets itself apart. Brice, the manager, is the friendliest and most helpful tire store manager I have ever encountered. Besides providing great service, all the employees take the time to discuss options regarding your vehicle. They always recommend the best deal, not just the most expensive product or what's "on sale" that day. They also take the time just to chat and make you feel comfortable, which is important when your day just got ruined by a blowout. Also, there service is generally very fast compared to a lot of other service stores. Atmosphere: The friendly atmosphere could fit in here too. It's easy to find the store along the roadside, there's plenty of parking, and there are a few stores up and down the road if you want to take a short walk and run some other errands or grab a snack while you're waiting for your vehicle. I called an made an appointment to buy 2 new tires for my car. Over the home, the woman I talked to (Charlene) was very helpful, and let me know about extras I could get, like the 3 year warranty, but didn't pressure me. When I came into the store, the staff was very friendly, and joked around with me. I didn't feel like I got screwed over or overcharged which is important to me being a young woman. It didn't take very long either. They estimated 45 minutes, but I went out to breakfast for 90 minutes so, it was defiantly done by then. Our experience here was excellent. I had a huge nail in my tire and I messaged them via Yelp about an appt. Jeremiah got back to me within 10 minutes and we scheduled an appt for the following morning, although I'm sure I could have come in that day if needed. My husband took my car in for me and said the service was great. They didn't charge, and were very friendly! Aired up all tires after removing the nail (luckily I didn't need a new tire!!) and reset my tire air light inside my car. I will definitely return. This is a cautionary rant for Big O Tire located on Coffee road customers! After waiting 3 plus hours for my oil change.... I was told the service was unable to be completed due to Big O Tire technician not being able to locate my "wheel" key or whatever. He told me I must not have put it back in it's spot with the spare... I quickly responded that they where the only ones who had done maintenance on my vehicle and this was my routine oil change so they must not have put it back. Bottom line I was unable to receive my oil change. Now I am out the money on getting a replacement key and the headache of missing out on now 3 plus hours of my Sunday. Lesson learned... I should have stuck with Lexus of Bakersfield for my maintenance. #bigoyousuck #lessonlearned read more

Took my 1992 Chevy truck in for an alignment and had a $20 coupon. Showed up on time for my appointment got an estimate $65 minus the $20 coupon, so i gave them the ok. 2 hours later i get an phone call to tell me that its going to take longer and will cost $109 and by the way your brakes don't work and we can fix them, I will get you a price. I told them not to do anything and i would be there to pick it up in 20 minutes. The funny part is when i got there to pick up the truck it had never even been moved and they then gave me the keys to drive away a truck with no brakes, so they said. Went this morning to have a tire repaired. Manager said we are not responsible for your tire or rim. I asked what do you mean? He said if I mess up the rim or tire it's not my fault.
