I was concerned because of Covid but was pleasantly surprised to find the facility well equipped to deal with social distancing. I sat comfortably outside in a lovely chair while I waited for my car. We brought our car in to put two tires on the front. They broke the bead on our tires and then tried telling me they wouldn't air up because of the weather (the reason was because they broke the bead). Then they made me pay for new tires because they f****d up the old ones. And on top of all that, they left my lug nuts half on, so our wheels could've fallen off altogether. Terrible. read more

We have gone here for years. The manager is honest and actually once told us that whoever said we needed new brakes was wrong. We have also not been charged anything at all for minor issues, like a leaky tire stem. Service is prompt, and service managers (yeah! Stephen) will do their best to accommodate your schedule. URGENT!!! READ THIS BEFORE CONSIDERING THIS SHOP..... I have been a concord resident for 37 years now, and even though I'm not a mechanic by trade I do work on cars and am very knowledgeable when it come to suspension. PLEASE READ..... I just installed front lowering spindles on my 02 silverado and took it to the BIG O on clayton rd. in Concord for a basic alignment, the lady quoted me $86. I waited there for exactly 1 hour which was the quoted wait time. They call my name and I was thinking they were finished. The bald customer service rep was standing there with a tall younger male rep and a Hispanic service technician. KEEP READING.... Without hesitation the bald guy (don't know his name) said "WE CAN'T ALINE YOUR TRUCK" in a stern voice. I ask "why not" he replied " there is play in all your ball joints and all you tie rods". I responded " I checked the ball joints when I lowered it and there was NO PLAY at all". With a dumbfounded look on his face he looked down at how many mile were on my "well driven truck" and saw 192k miles and said "IT's JUST TIME, SOME TIME THESE THINGS JUST GO OUT". He knew at that time that I knew what I was taking about and I just caught them trying to SCAM me. He quickly punched in a bunch of numbers on a calculator and told me "WE CAN REPLACE THEM FOR $876.00". Without arguing and causing a scene I took my truck to the FIRESTONE on contra costs blvd. where they did an honest and thorough diagnostic and found slight play in my drivers side inner tie rod which cost me $25 for the part and took me 15 minutes to replace myself (remember.... I work on cars), they added grease to a upper ball joint. I got FIRESTONE'S lifetime Alignment for $160. their honesty and customer service was beyond excellent, and they don't run SCAMS on customers like this BIG O does. DO NOT GO TO THIS BIG O, THEY RUN SCAMS TO LINE THERE POCKETS. BIG MISTAKE....IM WRITING THE OWNER A LETTER, AS WELL AS THE BBB, AND AS LONG AS THOSE INVOLVED IN THE ATTEMPTED SCAM STILL WORK THERE THEY WILL LOSE BUSINESS FROM ALL OF MY FRIENDS, FAMILY AND PERSONAL ClIENTS. and that's a lot of people. read more

You would think someone would check to see if they had all parts on hand prior to arrival. Nope. Not at all. Just finished with the front brakes. READ, READ,READ BEFORE GOING THERE!!!!! I will NEVER be going back to big 0. I have 5 vehicles in my family and use to bring them all to this location. I took my Chevy Silverado to them for an oil change, to put air in my tires and do a tire rotation. I had a low tire pressure light going on in my right front tire that I told them about. I picked my truck up and had the same low tire pressure light go off in the right front tire again. This tells me they did not rotate my tires. I spoke to Eric (the manager) and brad, the customer service rep, and they said they would take care of it. They personally rotated my tires and put air in it. They gave me two free oil changes to show they were sorry and I was on my way. This was not the first time they messed up because on between oil changes I would have to have them put air in my tire because I have that pure air. I always request air in my tires with EVERY oil change. I then brought my girlfriends car there for an oil change and tire rotation. I told them that the big 0 in Lafayette said her brakes were due to get replaced. They said they checked them and they were fine. Two days later we drove around and there was this metal on metal noise. We took it back and Brad said it was the front breaks. Mind you I just asked two days prior if they needed to be replaced because we both work full-time and are full-time college students and need to get things done on Saturday, not during the week. Brad said the breaks were so bad at this point that he had to use the emergency brake to stop it and that we wouldn't make it home from work. I had to call someone to pick me up and drop my vehicle off in the middle of the night since I work graveyards and use her vehicle for work. I couldn't believe them. Getting the front brakes done we asked about if the back brakes needed to be done. Brad said no. We drive the car off the lot and here goes another metal noise. This time it was the back brakes, which we had just asked about prior to leaving. They couldn't replace them because they were closing. We got them replaced that next Saturday but I told brad the noise came from the front. He insisted it was the back brakes. At this point we had a completely new pair of brakes in back and front but the noise was still there!!! It ended up being the brakes they put on the car were not good brakes so they replaced them again. At this point we had a tire rotation the week before (so we thought), and now all of a sudden we have a huge nail in our tire. Every time we dropped the car off it was 8am if not before (leaving our keys in the mail slot) and this was now 335pm on Saturday when they close at 4. Eric was nice enough to loan us a loaner tire. We took the car to Americas tire in Brentwood that next week (manager Dan that works there is amazing) and they told us that the tires had never been rotated. Her two tires that we got 6 months prior were bald and the back two were as if they were new (bought at the same time). We asked if tire rotation and air pressure check EVERY TIME we went there. It was never done. MIND YOU I JUST GOT THESE TIRES AND BIG 0 NEVER OFFERED US ANYTHING BUT AN, "I'm sorry." Believe I wouldn't take anything from that place even if it was free I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Eric seems to care a lot about his customers but he cannot get his workers under control to do their job! Saying you care about us as customers, doesn't mean anything when I'm driving around with bald tires and brakes that completely don't work!!! read more

My review is about their oil change service (I haven't needed to change my tires since I've started to go to this Big O Tires). I have been there three times now for oil changes. Part of my decision to go to Big O in the first place was I know they offer free tire rotation with oil change. The first time I went they broke some underglow lights I had underneath my car. I wasn't upset since I didn't ever use them and I figured it was an honest mistake. They finished in the estimated time they told me. The second time I went there they estimated it would take an hour for the oil change but it took two hours. They probably got backed up and it probably took longer to get to my car. Again, I wasn't upset. By the third time I was there I was curious as to if they had been rotating my tires every time or just ignoring it so I marked my rims to see. Based on the marks, they had not been rotated. Again this could have been an honest mistake. They are very friendly at this location, but I will not be going back, at least not for oil changes. read more

I will never go here again after the experience I had today. The manager, Dan, isn't the friendliest of guys. I came in for a new tire and he asked if I wanted a tire rotation and oil change. I said, I don't know.. is it free?!?! My brother is a car mechanic and I never get oil changes from shops because it's the easiest thing to do, and they charge a lot ($80-$90). The manager said "Yea, it's free! It comes with the new tire you bought". I'm thinking hmm...I wonder why it be free for buying a new tire but whatever, lets do it!! When I get my bill I noticed he charged me for the oil change. Irate, I ask what happened to the free oil change? He says, "Well, nothing is for free..." I said, "I understand, but you said it was. I have no business getting my oil changed for $80 when I can do it myself, or have my car dealership do it for $30." Clearly there was a lack of communication between the two of us. Upset, I felt like I was taken advantage of when the manager never even told me there be an additional cost Later, he explained that the tire rotation was free but not the oil change...well, why wasn't I informed of this when I originally asked if it was free or not. Waste of my time! He tried to give me a discounted oil change for $60 next time I came in. I thought, "Does that really give me the incentive to come back when I just told him I get my oil changed for $30". No! In the end, the manager made it right by refunding me the difference that I normally would pay for an oil change. Although he never ONCE apologized for the confusion or showed sincere concern for a broke college student such as myself. I felt lost and taken advantaged of without a clear understanding of what I was getting myself in to. I feel the customer service can dramatically be improved by communicating better with the customer because let's face it - no one wants to be slapped with a huge bill that's more than you intended it to be. read more

I cracked a rim on the way to Concord and it resulted in a nasty flat tire in the midst of rush hour traffic. Once I got the spare on, my dad took me to this Big O location to get it looked at. We ended up having to purchase four new tires and rims, and we spent well over $1000 dollars. By this point, everything was fine; the guys who worked there weren't overly friendly or anything, but it was nothing to complain about. Two days later, and it was time to pick up my car. I grabbed the keys, said my thank you's, and got in... and I made it less than a mile from the shop before I had to stop the car. My spare tire was rattling around in my trunk and making some crazy noises, so I pulled over to see what all the racket was about. I pop the trunk, and there's my spare tire- tossed carelessly on top of all my things. Ok, so I know most people don't keep a ton of crap in their trunks, but I'm a full time college student who COMMUTES from Concord to Sacramento on a regular basis. Needless to say, my trunk was jampacked with school things, such as my backpack, some books, and a plethora of different pairs of shoes. The spare tire has it's own little spot underneath the lining of the trunk (which is where these guys got it in the first place), so why not take the extra 2 minutes to shove it back underneath? Nope- they tossed it on top of my things and damaged my textbooks AND my favorite pair of boots. read more

Well, had a long drive home from Las Vegas and noticed my tire pressure was low in r rear. Had my mother take my vehicle in to check the tire because I work longer hours than they are open. Instead of checking the r rear they decided to check them all , good right? Except they just looked for nails . They did not remove and dip the damaged tire. We have been coming here for at least 10 years. The customer service is EXCELLENT. Dan, in particular, is first class! He has been honest, worked within our budget and when I stopped in yesterday with my tire light on, he jumped out check and filled all my tires and made sure I didn't have a leak. The first time I came here I was out shopping realized my tires were low I have nitrogen so I have to go to a place I came here I had my dog they let me bring her inside they were really nice. I have done business with this store for many years, but after today, I'm done. I purchased tires for my Camry in December, and yesterday I had one punctured with a small tack. I have had tires repaired here before for no charge with the package that comes with the purchase. Today they tell me that the puncture was too close to the sidewall. It could not be fixed and that I would have to buy a new tire since I didn't have a replacement plan purchased. What replacement plan? One was never offered or discussed with me when I bought the tires! The tire had 4,000 miles on it. read more
