I had a looooong to do list on Saturday morning for the Labor day weekend and wanted to get them done early. One of my items to do was to get an oil change. I had a coupon for another known repair shop and it stated on their flyer that they open at 7:30a.m. but alas, I was there till 7:45a.m. and it was still not open. Yelp was there to the rescue as I searched the surrounding area for a place to get my oil changed early in the morning. I started calling down the list of repair shops with no answer until I came down to my 4th establishment on the list which was Big O Tires. John promptly answered my call and inquiries regarding open times, timeframes and approximate price. I anxiously answered that I was on my way since I was behind on schedule. I arrived and was greeted with a friendly smile and acknowledgement from John. This Big O tires is on the cross streets of Cerritos and Valley View. The counter area is cool with black and white linoleum flooring with strung colorful flags. If I was guessing, they were going for a race car area motif. Also, the mechanics looked neat and tidy in their uniforms. This facility has a small waiting with Automobile & Drive! magazines, coffee, TV and vending machines while you get your car serviced. If you are hungry, there are several restaurants available within walking distance from this establishment. Hmmm ramen. John informed me of repairs items that needed to be address and information of their products, warranties and performance expectations. I had a brief opportunity to speak with John while my car is being serviced. He is easy to talk to, friendly, informative, diligent and provided excellent customer service. My car was serviced promptly and I was back on the road. I am happy with the service I received. I especially like that they gave my receipt in an envelope so that I can keep track of my services and that they are open 7 days a week. They are even open on Labor Day. Sweet! read more

TI had a great experience. I went in to have a tire that kept losing air fixed. They spotted really bad wear on the inside of my other tires due to miss alignment. Also my breaks (I have known for two years they needed to be done. They got me all situated and I can really tell the difference when driving my car. We have been bringing our cars to Big O Tires in Cypress for a number of years. They have always been friendly and professional. Recently, we brought our 2009 Genesis in for service (oil change and some other regular maintenance). Shortly after pick-up, we noticed some leakage, which could have been their fault or might have been coincidental (the car has almost 200,000 miles on it, afterall). But Big O did not try to make excuses, argue about whose fault it was, sell us anything, or charge us for the extra parts and labor; they simply fixed it all for no additional cost. They are hard-working and very good at what they do. We trust them with our cars and highly recommend them for good, honest work at a reasonable price. read more

Click bait promotion. I came here to get my wheel balanced and called to confirm that I will use the coupon posted on their website. The owner confirmed and when I came in. When I arrived the gentlemen checked the mileage tire of the car. He told me that I will be serviced next. I reminded him of the coupon and lo and behold there was a "free" wheel alignment check for like 90 dollars if need be. I told him it was not necessary as there is no problem with the alignment and I just needed my tire to be balanced. After an hours or so. They called me to say they cannot perform the balancing because my tire is 7 years old! Hello didn't they check the mileage and tire before they accepted the work? Why let me wait for an hour to tell me that? Also when I was retrieving my car another customer tried to apply the coupon and lol and behold they didn't want to accept it because of the model? Another lady just want to add air and they recommend a new set of tire! Which incidentally they told me to get even if my tires are 90 percent still new! Went to pep boys and had my wheel balanced with no issue! Click and bait when you come in this guys will up sell you! There are much better tire service that you can go to. read more

On Friday, 8/10/18 my company car, a 2016 Ford Focus, started making a thumping feeling on the floor board. This is a company car so I did what I had to do on my end and took it over to this location. I worked with Sean and he did a great job. Let's be real here. A person in Sean's position can have a difficult job because he's often the bearer of bad news telling people how much their car is going to cost to be repaired. This was the case with my car, but Sean was open, up front and honest with me. His mechanics used their best judgement on what the problem was, but there was a chance that their solution might not resolve the problem. I'll be honest and say that I thought this could be his way of trying to screw me over for more money. That was not the case though because the mechanics were right the first time and now the car drives like it should. Hats off to Shawn for his honesty and to his crew who got my car going on a Saturday when I'm sure they were busy. When the owner of my company asked me if I received good service I was able to tell him that I did without a doubt. Robert totally made my day. I started at Toyota where they quoted me $700 plus for tires and alignment when I went in for my routine service which I knew I needed tires. Big O had a buy 2 get two free on a quality brand tire and he quoted me an even furrher discount. The service took about an hour and when I went to pay Robert told me I did not need an alignment which brought my total from $460ish to $344 with 3 year warranty. Not many sales people will tell you what you don't need, especially if you don't know. Weather or not i could have gotten a better deal I felt like I got a good one and I will definitely be back and refer others. read more

Brandon at Big O is the man! I went in for new tires, and an oil change and the team was super helpful. The team found that I needed new struts while working on my car, a problem I had known about but didn't really plan on moving forward with due to pricing quotes with the original auto shop that identified the issue a few months ago. When Brandon called me to alert me to the issue he was very transparent and even shared some photos of the struts and explained to me how the repair would impact my alignment, the lifetime of the new tires and the overall daily use of my car. (I drive about 30000 miles a year. I need it to work!) The best part was that Brandon was able to beat the initial quote I had gotten for the struts a few months back. I dropped off the car in the morning and she was ready to go again that evening. Great prices and great service. I needed hard to find trailer tires for a boat trailer. They had them at a good price. Installed them quickly and even swapped one of the older, but still good tires, onto the spare rim for me. If you have a low pressure indicator light and all the tires are the right pressure they can tell if one of the sensors has failed. Robert and Jared are very helpful and do good work. read more
