I've been a long time customer of this location. However, I recently got an oil change and they called to say my new battery is "low" and the brakes I had replaced by them less than 2 years ago are in the "red"... I declined to have these replaced because I knew they were fine. Additionally, I had gotten new tires a month ago and was told my brakes were fine. I get my car home and go to look for my old receipts of service from my glove box and find it has been rummaged through...all my old mechanic receipts are gone, which I keep all of them. And my bed bath and beyond coupons are gone! After many, many years of going here, I have decided that has ended. They just cant be trusted anymore. read more

I had a flat tire and kept airing it up, went to one tire place after another and was told that they were booked snd I would have to wait hours, if I could get it done today at all. I have to say the last few times I have been here the service has gone way down hill. The most recent experience the person helping me complained the whole time. He answered the phone for another a customer and hung up and told me "I don't know why these people are calling me with questions they should know". Makes me wonder what he is saying to other customers about me. After having the tires installed I saw Costco had a sale going on and asked if they would match. They said no. The total package for tires where about $100 less at Costco. Just tried one last time to give them a chance. Called on the phone to see if they could service the transmission on my vehicle and said yes. I was there 10 minutes later and they said they could not do it for 2 days. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! If I could give it negative stars, I would! I had looked on the website and found the tires that I wanted. I was ""helped" by a surly, sarcastic guy. He had already picked my ttires for me...but not the onnes I wanted...no he picked something more expensive than what I wanted . Said he'd have to order the ones I saw on the website. It was also the last day of the Black Friday Sale...which he never mentioned. He didn't bother to tell me any of the sAle items, after I told him I was on a very limited budget. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! He wanted to put a brand on that was NOT on sale and I'd never heard of the brand. He was sarcastic about that when I asked. Twice I brought my car in over the last few years, when I had a gash in the side wall. I wasn't sure if I needed to replace the tire for safety or not. I've been making regular trips to put air in one of my tires for the past week or so. Turns out I picked up a screw (not as interesting as it sounds..) and had a slow leak that needed to be patched. I stopped in at Big O today and they got me right in with no waiting , and in less than 20 minutes I was on my way with a good as new tire. The 5 stars is because they charged me NOTHING. Not a penny. That is unbelievable in these times and I think it is pretty cool. I will def go back here when I need other service that they offer. read more

Please never go here or Big O in general. First let me start off saying my family and I have been purchasing Big O Tires and maintenance services for decades. I am in my early 20's and will therefore purchase many more tires in my years, but I will NEVER buy from Big O again. It started a few years back when I first needed new tires. The salesperson tried to convince me that I needed 4 new tires. I thought I was getting one pulled over on me, so I had my dad call in. The salesperson broke down and told him that I really only needed 2 new tires and could get by with only replacing 1; red flag number one. We ended up replacing all 4 tires the next year and bought the warranty that SUPPOSEDLY covers flat-tire replacements. Fast forward to yesterday: I got a flat tire and didn't notice it until after I parked my car from driving home from work. My boyfriend brought my car in to get the tire replaced and they proceeded to tell him that I had demonstrated "neglect" by driving on the flat tire for too long, which voided the warranty. 1. The tire was not all the way flat when I noticed the problem. 2. Why on Earth would I drive on a tire ON PURPOSE if I knew it was flat. 3. Why did I buy a warranty in the first place? The mechanic then offered my boyfriend the tire at cost for replacement and a service fee ($109) when it should have been FREE! He tried to act like he was doing him a solid by offering this. Today I called into the store and asked to speak to a manager. The manager basically listened to me and explained why I was wrong about every concern I had. I feel the whole situation was an awful customer service experience. I hope that nickel and diming me over $100 is worth the loss of my business, and my family and friends' business, from here forward. I will be taking my car into my dealership to ensure they rotated my tires correctly (I got them rotated 5 days before the flat tire and they rotated them again) and didn't mess anything else up. One more thing: I took my tires into Big O one week ago and got them rotated. Let the buyer beware. They're only cordial if you order extra expensive services that you haven't even asked them to check out. As soon as you decline their recommendations they loose interest in being pleasant. On this visit, they performed an oil change, and the window sticker noted the current mileage. On the same visit, I had snow tires put on... but the window sticker added 4000 miles to the "service performed on" date, which would lead me to perform the next rotation 4000 miles too early. I will never go back to this lowsy excuse of a mechanic shop ever again. First of all Ken is a complete jerk. I had a warranty claim and they asked for the mechanic to call with the quote. Ken responded by saying "I will just put it on your bill" He was trying to charge me for the time spent on calling the warranty office. So I called and took care of the issue by lying and saying I worked at big o tires. Ken then got pissed off when I asked him for part numbers on my replacement parts. He called the parts distributor and said to them he was dealing with a pain in the ass warranty claim. I ignored this since they were working on my car. 2 days passed and my parts arrived. Today I brought my car to get worked on at 7:00 am. I asked him how long it would take and he said about 1.5 hours. I called 2.5 hours later and asked for an accurate eta on the car. No one could find my car at that point, paperwork was mixed up and I got asked if my car was 3 other cars. No its the Subaru. Oh! The 4runner? No the subaru. What a lowsy excuse of a business. I would highly suggest getting new management because the customer service is pathetic. You are nothing without satisfied customers. The Big O Tires store on Colfax and Grape on 12/26/11 told me 'I destroyed my car' but they could 'recover it' by doing gaskets and cylinder head work and the charge would be 2,670.20, nearly 3,000.00. Since Ken the owner that I trusted for years was not readily available I declined the work but asked for the paperwork showing work and charges. Generated from their computer it was given to me by Tu Kim. The experience made me do research. I was told the kind of work Ken's store said they would do was against Big O Tires franchise policy agreement and the company website did not list that kind of work as one of their services. The next day I called smiling, polite Ken about it and he said he did not know what I was talking about and hung up the phone. In the first week of Jan 2012, using Big O Tires email I asked did they do the work I was quoted. Their process is to forward the email to the closest store and that's how Ken ended up calling me a couple of days later, leaving a message stating they don't do cylinder head and gaskets. Had I agreed to their proposal Big O Tires on Colfax and Grape would have stolen nearly 3,000.00 from me and of course no work would have been done to save my 'destroyed' car. Jan 9th I spoke to a company agent and was told Ken informed them he called me to say they did not do that kind of work, so no price was ever quoted to me as I claimed, and he could recommended another shop to do the work, and the price I took as a quote from his store Ken said he was really quoting a price if another shop did the work. Oh. I responded that I have the computer generated documentation from Big O Tires on Colfax and Grape that list services to be performed and charges. Ken, of course, could not quote prices of another business. Ken only told the truth in a phone message to me because it went through the company. But in leaving a message now meant I had his recording admitting the truth plus paperwork from his store proving the potential theft, thus exposing his lies. The representative, to my surprised, said, "There was a potential of stealing you out of that money." I did not expect that kind of honesty. The agent told me Ken is an independent owner which means he can do whatever he wants. The company have no records whatsoever from the store and since Ken did not get to steal thousands of dollars despite his effort there was no harm. The company only mediates but they take no ownership in how a store treats the customers. How bad must it get before Big O Tires, headquartered in Juno Beach, Florida become interested in how customers are treated? I will ask them. read more

these guys caused $900 in damage to my car... they stripped my oil pan drain plug and now they're blaming me for the oil leak saying it was there before they did any work. All oil changes to this vehicle were done at the dealership previously so I think John (the owner) is using that as an excuse not to fix the damage they caused. contacting the corporate office yielded no help and now the guy wants to file for bankruptcy... so now I'm left holding the bag for their incompetence... the place is filthy and their techs might know a thing or two about balancing tires but don't trust them with anything beyond that... read more

The wait was a few minutes more than they had predicted, but they got the job done and back to me in a reasonable amount of time. I have appreciated the free tire rotations (which allow me to sit in their waiting room for HOURS). It's funny what you overhear when you are sitting waiting for your car. These guys just sound slimy. There's rarely a conversation where they are really focusing on customer service. It's usually an upsell or patronizing explanation of why something isn't covered or cost more than they originally thought. I used them because of the "one stop shop" convenience where I can get my tires rotated and an oil change as well. Took my car in to have tires serviced during the big snow storm last week because the nozzle on my tire snapped. They were so helpful and understanding of the issue. They weren't able to permanently fix the issue (but made it drivable) and didn't charge a penny. Such great customer service! I was a customer of this Big O location for two years before I had enough. I purchased tires from them, had them rotated, had oil changes done, and other routine maintenance. I also brought my girlfriends car there for new tires. Throughout that time I noticed a small but disturbing pattern that eventually blew up in my face and ultimately ruined my respect for this Big O and I have vowed never to return. I brought my car in and had the tires rotated, everything went smoothly, until I noticed after driving around for a month that the tech had neglected to finish putting all of the locking nuts on the car, installing one tire with only 4(!) of the 5 lugs. Additionally, they lost my lug nut lock KEY, which would have left me stranded, had I suffered a flat. They replaced the OEM Toyota locking lug set at no cost with an apology. That was positive, minus the whole "we lost an essential piece to your car and allowed you to drive away without telling you". Next, I had a torn axle boot, common on 4Runners, so I brought it in for repair. They told me that I needed to replace the whole right axle assembly for $225. They also told me my brakes were very low in the back and should be replaced. I agreed to the axle work but declined the brakes as something didn't feel right considering the age and mileage. Overall I was comforted by their 12 month repair warranty. No other issues were reported about axle leaks. Come 6 months later I decided to replace the brakes with the help of a friend. I personally inspected the brake pads to find they were in good shape, revealing their suggested additional brake diagnosis as false and a clear sign of fraud. Next, I noticed a leak on my axle (the one they had replaced). Thinking that this is a clear warranty axle issue, I brought it to them only to be told that it was the seal between the axle and the transmission and that since they didn't put in a new one during the axle replacement it wouldn't be covered. Mind you, it didn't leak prior to them getting their hands on it. Thus their stated reasoning for not originally replacing it. Despite the fact that Toyota does frequently replace this seal while performing this repair. Then I was told it is not under warranty, despite the fact that it was clearly their faulty installation that caused this seal to now leak. And the work to replace this seal would cost $400. Nearly double the original work cost. For a part that costs $20. Upon my complaints, Ken got VERY defensive and grudgingly agreed to speak with his owner. Their offer was to do the work for $200 instead. I am not a sucker and there a lot of other reputable service centers in our fine city. So no, I will not be paying you to do work that should have been done already or under warranty. I also contacted Big O national consumer relations. The owner of the business did not reach out to me, despite the fact that he is supposed to once the complaint is made. The relations rep has been less than helpful, stating that since "this a franchise location and the owner of the location has final say in the matter." He never called or emailed. Dead silence. Thanks for the lack of support Big O. I will be shopping for tires and vehicle service elsewhere. I'd rather PAY a reputable, trustworthy shop to rotate my tires. read more

OK, it's a tire shop. Why am I even spending time reviewing this? Well, to be honest, it's because these guys just slammed out a snow tire changeover in something like 30 minutes. This is the second time I've visited this location since moving way far away from a Discount Tire store and I'm pretty much sold now. It could be that since I can walk to it I'm such a fan, but the waiting area of this store just was renovated in a sort of vague hotel lobby style with travertine on the floors. Come on! Travertine in an auto shop! They actually have a halfway pleasant sitting area now and when you come into the store there's a guy with a clipboard to greet you, take your keys, etc. without having to wait. So, if i actually did have to wait for my car, I'd stay here over Discount Tire in a heartbeat. read more

I needed an alignment and all new tires. I called several different Discount tires and I called the one closest to my home several times and nobody answered over a 2 hour period. Once I called Big O Tires the man was extremely polite and after he knew my price range he looked up the competitors prices and not only matched them but he gave me an additional discount and I got a $100 rebate. I told him I didn't get off till 5 and he closed at 6 but he still said I can come in and they would take care of me. When I arrived he greeted me at my car and remembered our conversation. They got my car in as soon as I got there. He even showed the tires they were putting on and explained all the aspects of them. My car was done in less than 30 minutes with the alignment and tires. He also gave me more expensive tires at the same price. The waiting room was very nice and comfortable and they had wireless so I could use my computer. I can't stress how high the customer service was and they're now the only place I will ever go for tires. read more

Had a flat and they fixed me up good. But I went in for new brake pads and they tried to rip me off so bad is wasn't even funny. Over $700 for brakes on a car with less than 40K miles- don't think so. They wanted to replace my calibers. Calibers are hardly EVER replaced on a vehicle. Rip off, run! read more

Last year I hit a curb and got a flat tire. They let me go through two more flats and buy two brand new tires before telling me my rim was bent and that was how the air was leaking out. I proceeded to buy a new rim and my final new tire with a protection pack. I damaged the sidewall of that tire recently and went in to get a new tire, only to find out that they will not give me a new tire until mine is "damaged beyond repair". The worst part was sitting in the waiting room listening to them tell every other person there how dire their situations where, how desperately they needed new tires and up selling everything under the sun in the name of preventing future problems. The service was straightforward with very little upselling, though I saw on the computer screen all of the upselling they are encouraged to do, including those complained of by the parent of the 17 year old. Fishy. I was called about needing to replace a cabin filter, which I ok'd. My car was already out in the parking lot when I got the call - I happened to be walking in just as he called. 10 minutes later, they said my car was ready and I am 98% sure the car never left the parking lot after I ok'd replacing the cabin filter. I got charged for an engine filter, $29.99 (on top of the usual oil and filter change charge which was $50 despite the $39 advertisement) , not cabin filter, which as I mentioned am 98% sure they didn't change since I saw my car sitting in the lot the whole time, and then said I didn't need the cabin filter changed, just the engine filter. It's just odd getting charged $80 for an oil and filter change. I think they did change my oil and filter and got it done in 1 hr, so 2 stars instead of 0. read more

I looked up this Big o Tires 2 years ago. My family is from monument colorado, and they use the big o tires there, which just so happens to be owned by the same owner of this location. But i wanted to write a review on here about how great this place is. I have had so many dumb issues with my tires. The guys there never treat me like a dumb blonde 25 year old, they are fair, they are efficient, and i always trust when i go in there that they will take great care of my little Subaru. Just recently i was in and had my front brakes and rotors replaced. SO EXPENSIVE !! but they got it done for me in a few hours, and made the process really easy and not stressful. They have always given me fair deals, i never feel like they are charging me unfairly, and i keep going back. all the guys there, the techs and everyone, are wonderful and friendly !! I recommend this location to everyone and hope they have the same experiences that i have had. Ill be back in a few weeks to get a bunch more work done Thanks guys !!! read more
