Why I use Big O Tire And Services, Edmond. An example of the kind of service to expect from this owner- operated tire and auto service store, I can best exemplify by recent experience. Four years ago after an oil change on my 145000 mile car, a serious oil leak developed from the oil pressure sensor, which I had them replace. Last week a serious oil leak again occurred at that sensor. Although standard warranty on parts and labor is 1 year or 12000 miles, since this car had less than 2000 miles since repair, owner Ron did the replacement and oil refill for no charge. I've come to this location several times over the last several years living in Edmond. I've interacted with several people there who have always been incredibly polite, understanding. They've been patient with my questions excellent service every time I've needed an alignment or new tires. My only complaint is, I wish they offered more services like a full mechanic because I can't say enough positive things about the professional professionalism at the store and dealing with the people who work there. I guess it's true, that the only thing in life you can count on is change. Okay, maybe that's a little dramatic, but nevertheless, this location - and this company as a whole - have changed a lot, and not for the better. Firstly, Big O has always been a little higher than other places, but the disparity these days is ridiculous. We're talking hundreds of dollars difference per set of tires. Back in the day I could almost always justify it based on their service, but some recent trips have made me change my mind. I paid for an alignment here recently and found out after they were done that the vehicle needed new shocks. Which was true, but made me wonder why the hell they aligned it then? In my opinion they should've come straight in and told me BEFORE doing the alignment. Also, I would've definitely just paid them to do the shocks right then if they had offered to do them. I actually had to ask them if they would do them, which they said they would, but I never even got a call back on pricing and availability. A few days later I got the shocks done while visiting family in Mustang. I went by the Mustang Big O afterwards to have it aligned again. After telling him what had gone down, he told me he agreed that they shouldn't have aligned it period, or at least should've told me about it first and offered to do the work for me as an add on. He also mentioned I could've just paid $50 more for a 3 year alignment instead of a 1 time only as the 3 year has pretty much unlimited usage on it. But, this was never offered to me in Edmond. Why wouldn't they have minimally told me about that knowing I'd need it signed again very soon? Would've been an upsell for them and a savings for me. I did at least purchase the 3 year alignment deal while in Mustang, so $300 now for two alignments if we're keeping track. BUT, we're not done just yet! A few days ago I ended up replacing another suspension component on my truck to get it all up to spec.. which required yet another alignment. So, this time I call the Edmond location again, telling them I've purchased the 3 year alignment package now in addition to the standard alignment they sold me and would like to have it re-aligned. Well, guess what? Big O is a franchise... the things you buy here and the warranties there of, are ONLY valid at the location you bought them at. So despite spending almost $300, the Edmond location would not align my truck. I had to drive all the way back to Mustang for the alignment! Absolutely ridiculous that they wouldn't honor the fact I had JUST paid for an alignment, then had to pay again. Mind you, I've spent well over $10,000 here over the better part of a a decade across my entire family. Not that customer service should be based on merit, but you'd think a long standing customer would be a valuable thing. If this was 5 years ago, I have no doubts they would've been more accommodating, but man I feel like it was a shake down for my $. I can't help but speculate that's why they didn't offer me the 3 year deal is they knew I'd be back in a week and they could sell me another one time alignment instead for more $. Big O is a joke and their old school ways will likely be their downfall. I am however, happy to report that Discount Tire has been FANTASTIC! They are a nationwide company who will not give you hassle over the things you buy from them. I'd encourage anyone doing window shopping to look elsewhere. read more

The guys at Big O are good people. They know almost all their customers by name. I grew up with my parents taking their cars to this Big O and now I'm married and have my own kid and we take our cars there and wont ever stop because the service is just that good and trustworthy. They always provide the service requested and explain it thoroughly to us non-car people. Can't recommend this location enough. My husband and I having been using Big-O ever since we moved to Edmond in 2003. They have the best customer service and are always friendly and honest about whatever issue you are having. They even know us by name. We take our cars, our children's and grandchildren's cars there and won't go anyplace else for tires and minor repairs that we know they are able to do. read more

I was having a very hard time coming up with funds to replace a tire that was worn to the wires, I came up with $40 and hoped it was enough. When I got there I was pitched $45 for a used Continental, it was clear that I didn't have that so they dropped it to $40 near instantly. I had it, we were golden! After the tire was replaced, my bill was ready for payment. The invoice said $35, I asked if there was a mistake and I was answered "Nope, I saw your fuel light on and we're here to keep you rolling. Awesome! Who??? Big O Tires at 904 South Broadway. I can't remember the last time I received such excellent customer service. On the Friday after July 4th, I had a bad tire I needed to get repaired quickly. No one was able to help me. Every place I went to ask for a repair was a 2 to 3 hr. wait - or drop it off and we'll get to it sometime today. Only trouble was - I needed to wait for it. I didn't have a way to get home and back again - and, I needed to use my car that day. It wasn't so much even that I would have had to wait - I can understand being busy - but at many of the places I stopped, let's just say the customer service was less than stellar. Big O tires was about my 6th stop. Even though they looked busy, I knew from the minute I walked in the door, things would be different - that I was some place where I would be helped. First, a gentlemen started to ask if he could help me and before I could even answer, another lady asked if I needed help. I told them what was going on and they said they absolutely could help me. "Give me your keys." I was dumbfounded. They did repair my tire - and during my short wait I was able to enjoy their wonderfully cool waiting room while watching TV and reading magazines. When they were through, they explained what was wrong with my tire. And - they did not even charge me! Maybe they knew I was having a rough day and really feared getting stranded with a flat. One of the first individuals who helped me was Kim, who I believe said her husband owned the location - she was so incredibly nice! The business had the feeling of being a family-run business - they cared about their customers! I also learned they do much more than tires - like oil changes, brake jobs and more! YES BIG O! i'm a new car owner, and female. so i can't tell u how many places (firestone, hibdon, autozone, etc) have tried to scam me. jiffy lube especially! i have a volkswagen, which is apparently different because it's german. every place quoted me $80 for an oil change. excuse u????? no. i called big O and they quoted me "around $65". i was reluctant but i came here and when i arrived, they took all my information and said it would actually be $56 for a fully synthetic oil change and a new german carbon filter, then ronnie applied a coupon so i only had to pay $46!!!! i waited in the waiting room, there were done in less than an hour. i love big O, they don't scam young girls who don't know anything about cars, and they didn't try to push anything new or extra on me!!! (not to mention the dealership that i bought the car from gave it a conventional oil change and i'm nearly 10,000 miles overdue for a change. it's a miracle my car hasn't just given up read more

I've been to this location twice now and both times have been nothing short of a great experience. I usually leave car repair places so frustrated and feeling over charged, but not these guys. They only recommend repairs or services actually needed and their prices are legit fair. I also really liked their text notifications when my car was done. Don't expect a large tire selection to choose from. They mainly carry poor to mediocre tires. If you want good tires (e.g., Pirelli's, Dunlop's, Michelin's) you'll need to go somewhere else. I've been getting both our vehicles serviced here for about eight years. I've gone through two sets of tires on each vehicle with the Big O brand, which is make by Cooper Tires. I've always felt like I've been treated well here and with respect each time I've been. The price of their oil changes with Mobil One synthetic oil is pretty high, but all their other repairs (i.e. shocks, struts, etc.) are priced pretty reasonably. On everything I've ever had done on any vehicles, they were always up front with me as to the cost and have never varied on what they have quoted. We used this Big O for several years and they did a good job. Prices were fair, work was good. We have 6 company delivery vehicles as well as personal vehicles. We used this Bib O for all of our service, oil changes, brake work, tires, anything they could do. The last time I went in I asked the man at the counter to repair a tire for me to use as a spare. He said it was too bad to use regularly on the road. I agreed and told him I only needed it to limp home on it if I had a flat so would he repair it for me. If it went flat while I was driving on it I would take responsibility. He said no again that it would not be safe. I told him I disagreed but I would respect his opinion to not repair it because it might cause them some liability. We would just have to agree to disagree on how bad the tire was. As I walked out the man said to my back "Doesn't matter, You are still wrong!" The man who helped me was the owners son. I am not going to complain to someone about their son. So, I quietly walked out and moved my business which was a little over a thousand a month down the street. The owner is a good man. He just needs to train his son in customer service skills. read more

11-8-2014 They provide tires at a reasonable price and rotation every 5,000 miles is free. However, they will try to sell customers (especially women) things they don't need - from air filters to alignment and they use "universal" everything. You won't get the parts you need for your specific car. The mechanics are mediocre. Edited, lowered from 3 stars to one. In June 2018, I went in to see if a flat tire could be repaired.They showed me a nail in the tire and said it couldn't be repaired. When the guy from road services took it off my car he showed me the hole. There was no nail in it. When he put it in my trunk, there was no nail in it. When the guys at Big O took it out of the trunk, there couldn't have been a nail in it. Yet, when they showed it to me there was a nail in it! Obviously, they put it there. And there was no need to scam me like this. I was close to replacing the set of tires anyway. But they lost a 30 year customer over a 2 cent nail. read more

This ripoff place wrote a reply to my review claiming that I must have the wrong address. I don't. They are on Broadway in Edmond at 9th across the street from AutoZone. I was there a total of three times before I found out they were scamming me. The day they emptied my wallet in exchange for a rebuilt alternator was the last day i was stupid enough to go there. I accept the blame: You know the expression - "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Well they fooled me three times, but now I know better. Don't let them fool you the first time. I have been with them for about six years. Ronnie Peacock is a great businessman with a well trained crew. Every one of them had always been very helpful and I don't shop anywhere else for tires. One great example of their "above and beyond" service happened today. I am in Texas with a leak in a tire and need warranty work done. No Big O in this area so I called Ronnie and he directed me to another dealer who would honor the warranty. One hour later and I am back on the road. By the way I had stopped first, before I thought to call Ronnie, at a Firestone dealer who told me the tire couldn't be repaired and tried to sell me another one. When I went to the dealer Ronnie sent me to they repaired the tire without a problem. read more
