Never come to this place! Arrived at 10:45am and was told it'd take around 2 hours to finish the oil change. That's fine so I waited in there. After 1:45pm the service was not even started. After that it took another hour to finish the oil change. When I asked the guy in the front desk he said there were 8 cars in the line, which was higher in the weekend. So never come to this place to do any service or at least never come at weekends, unless you want to wait for more than 4 hours just for an oil change. What's more, they'll charge extra even if you brought the groupon coupon that already paid the service in full. I would gIve 0 star if there were an option. read more

We have been coming to this location for over 3 years for automotive service and oil changes since we have received Grade A service every time. However, this time we came on Saturday and the customer service was terrible. Well, this morning we found a puddle of oil under the vehicle and the glove box kept falling open because they had replaced the cabin air filter which we didn't request. With it being Sunday, we had to take the car to the dealership since it was the only thing open close by and found that the drain plug/gasket wasn't replaced, the glove box needed realignment and a nail in the tire which we told Big O Tires to check since they stated the tires were good and tried to sell us a wheel alignment. So the dealership repaired everything at no charge except for the tire. The crew that worked here previously was way more professional and had great customer service which is why we came back. This place has gone downhill and I don't recommend taking your vehicle here if you want quality service and to not get taken for your money go elsewhere. read more

I needed to take care of 2 nails in both my back tires during my lunch hour and they were able to take a look at all my tires, check the air pressure and add air. During the check, the tech found two nails in both my back tires and I was able to schedule an appointment to come back later in the afternoon. Everyone I encountered from the initial person I spoke with on the phone, the service tech, the front desk representative to the manager, Michael, provided good, friendly, excellent customer service. I dont know which is worse, this teams incompetence or their complete lack of consideration for your time. As a mechanic I have seen plenty of sketchy outfits however, this Big O tires location has far and away the worst customer service i have experienced. They will waste your time, NOT perform the work promised, and WONT apologize for any of it, they wont even call to tell you they failed to make the schedule that they purposed!! They let you show up only to hand your keys back without ever having touched your car 2.5 hrs after your scheduled tire install. They did nothing to make right the situation did not offer anything in return, and when I asked to speak to a manager, they told me he wouldnt be back for a week!! Who in the world is going to look after these amateurs! I am nervous for all customers in the meantime. Never again will i shop with this inconsiderate amateur outfit. Came in today with no appointment. I had a slow leak in my truck tire. Truck is fairly new so no new tires needed. The manager was so helpful and squeezed me in after we noticed a large screw in the tire. I love good customer service but this was great service. My BMW 440i rear right tire needed a repair. David took care of that very quickly and effectively. I have been using American Tires that is basically across the street , but no more. I had to waited for 2+ hours for similar repair. With Big O it took less that 40 min. From now on, will just go to them. They also do maintenance like break work. Pulled up Mon 05-13-19 without appt. I had just come from Palo Alto Shell $99 (4 wheel) asked if they inspected steering, linkage, and such. No they don't. Which brings me 2 Big O. David Gives me $99 price. But tells me about using Groupon with a $50 saving. Sighed up on my phone. And found the Groupon easily. I drop by for an oil change. There was one other customer there. I was completely ignored. I parked my car and when into the office where I continue to be ignored. Finally, just as I was about to give up and leave, an associate asked me what I wanted. I asked if I could get an oil change. He said it would take 2-3 HOURS and I would have to leave the car. I am vey disgusted and dissatisfied . Bought four tires on October 2019 at Big O Tires in Mt View location, one of the tires got messed up on 237 freeway on 12/1.Brought in my car for tire service on Dec 7 as scheduled, was told that it will take an hour or so to get it fixed. After waiting for an hour and a half, approached the service counter to ask for status, only to be told that they couldn't find the tire that was ordered previously. Nobody even the store manager, Howard, who helped me at the start of the transaction to inform about what was going in. I wasted more than an hour of my time for nothing. They could have communicated with me much earlier that there was a problem, very poor customer service. You need to teach and train your staff for better communication and customer skills. They don't even deserved a one star, very disappointed. read more

I brought my vehicle in before a trip for what I thought would be a quick oil change, alignment, and inspection. I made sure to verify how long it would take, and was told it would be an hour and a half, and that I would get a text when it was ready. After 3 hours I called to ask about my vehicle because they did not contact me. The tech who told me all of this initially said the vehicle was ready and that they had done the alignment. When I asked about the oil change, I was told that basically he forgot and that it would be ready in 20 minutes. I showed up 35 minutes later, and they hadn't changed the oil yet. Additionally, the tech told me the alignment was perfect (there was a VERY noticable pull to one side) only to be corrected by someone else and told how to address the issue. It's now been 4 hours and I'm just now getting my vehicle. I'm not confident that the work wasn't rushed. This was my first and last time going here, I wouldn't even trust them with an rc car at this point. Be honest about how long things will take and get more on top of your job. This ruined my plans for the day, and is just poor service. read more

I had the worst experience at this location. Got a flat tire, called the store to see if they had our tires and could get them installed. The manager Albert replied yes. We drive 20 miles to get there just so that the same store manager can tell me that they can't do it. We arrived there at 5:10 when you guys close at 6. They had 4 car ports with one of them being open. They had 5 ppl that I counted working at the shop but said they were short one guy. Keep in mind this was just to change a single tire. Went to another shop down the road called "skips tire repair" where they had 2 technicians working, and closed at 5:30. We arrived at 5:20 and they helped us out no with problem nor did they cuss me out like Albert the manager did.Took them (skips) a whole 20 minutes to complete. I called this location last-minute around 4:45 to see if they'd be able to look at a leaking tire. The service manager Mike took my call and told me he'd get me in right away. I got there and explained my situation. He said he'd have it fixed within their business hours (6 pm). Turns out there was a nail along the edge of the tire, which I was told they can't fix because it can burst the tire when turning. Instead of trying to sell me 2 new tires, both Mike and the gentleman who worked in the shop suggested I could buy 1 tire as the others were in good shape. They got the car in, changed the tire, and had me squared away by 6:05 pm. I was really impressed with the professionalism and promptness of their service. If the single tire doesn't work out, I would return to this location to buy the other matching tire, as their prices are reasonable and the work is done quickly. read more

This shop is probably the very best automobile repair business in the area, from the reservation I made the previous afternoon to the time I got out of there the next day with a pair of new tires, exactly what I ordered. Contrast this with my review on Yelp of Wheelworks on 6/17/2021. The store manager at Big O, Albert, took my order late in the afternoon on Thu. 6/17/21, and assured me the tires would be delivered by 11:00am the following day, Fri., 6/18, a pair of Original Equipment Michelin tires. I explained I needed to make a 200-mile trip Friday afternoon and didn't know if I could be out of their garage on time if I came in at 11:00am. Albert said I would be out-of-there with the tires installed in an hour. I arrived before 11:00am on Friday and explained to David, the District Manager, that Albert, who wasn't in that day, had said I could have the tires ready in an hour. Compare this with Wheelworks when the assistant there who answered the phone hung up before I had a chance to order because the manager wasn't in that day to take my order. Although the nice lady behind the counter at Big O told me there were a few cars ahead of me in line, David spoke with a mechanic, Michael, who immediately dropped what he was doing and took my car into the bay and began working on it. Such is the power of a reservation at this company. Michael removed the wheels and rolled them to another mechanic, whose name I didn't get, who put the new tires on the rims, put air into them and torque-wrenched them back onto my car. That's called efficiency! Michael then moved the car into another bay, lifted it up on the rack, where he wheel-aligned them. Besides the extreme courtesy of honking the horn before backing out a car from a bay, I was standing next to the entrance of one and appreciated that since I hadn't noticed him backing out until he honked, these two guys worked constantly, through their lunch-hour, to get my car out as soon as they could. The District Manager, David, watched them occasionally as he walked by during his busy schedule. Michael was a dynamo, not stopping as he went from wheels to powerfully wrenching the nuts and bolts into correct alignment, only stopping to explain, along with David, the status of the alignment and what they were going to do to correct it. I was out of there in less than 2 hours with a set of 2 new tires, the same brand that the manager of Wheelworks on Prospect Av. said he couldn't get after 5 days, assuring me repeatedly that they would be delivered at 11:00am the next day, because they were in a warehouse in Los Angeles and hadn't ordered them. read more

If you want good customer service, I would advise to not come here. The staff is very friendly, but their service is lacking completely. The situation: I went in to buy a set of tires & wheels. I walked in, talked to the staff and agreed to buy the tires and rims; this was on Monday Dec 17th. After hearing the price, I was informed they should have the tires in store on Tuesday Dec 18th and at the very latest Wednesday Dec 19th. Great! I called on Tuesday afternoon, they said check back tomorrow (Wednesday) because they have yet to receive the wheels or tires. Ok, it's the holiday season and shipping companies can be slammed... I get that. Wednesday Dec 19th, I drive up there 2 hours before they close. I was then informed they had not been received yet, it's on the truck coming tomorrow (Thursday). Ok, I'm reasonable, what's one more day. Thursday around 1-2pm comes, I finally get a call (the only one I might add that I had to request). The tires haven't shipped yet, their credit card didn't go through so the order just sat waiting for them to pay, even after I paid them. Ok, great. The staff then asked me if I still wanted them and I said yes. The staff then said he would call me before he leaves on Thursday Dec 20th about the shipping. Nothing. They Never called. I then changed my plans to await these tires. The weekend went by and then Christmas, I didn't bother them because it was the holiday. I decided to go to the store today December 28th, 2 full weeks after. I walk in and asked if they have my tires, the staff then states he canceled the order because he didn't hear from me. Are you kidding? Why wouldn't you call, email, text anything?! Do you know how many forms of communication there are in the world today? I digress. I asked for a refund of my money. The manager steps in and the sales member states I wanted a refund because I didn't want them anymore.... really?! I did want them, I just didn't want to wait a year (if they even came!). They refunded my money and I went next door. I receive my tires in 4 days. I have shipping information and I've had 2 emails since purchase. Never coming back. They have the old Midas mentality there. The old Midas was shutdown and Big O Tire started. The Staff was very friendly, don't get me wrong. To sum up, went in, purchased tires, one phone call (which was requested), 2 weeks later, order cancelled, went back, THEN got refund. Thanks read more

This Big O Tires is one of the best shops I have been to in a long time! One day, one of my headlights was out and my brakes needed to be checked. I went to Pep Boys and they said it would take 3 hours to change the bulb! Not to mention an appointment over 2 weeks away for my brakes. I went over to Big O Tires, not only did Mike take care of the headlight within minutes, he also scheduled a time for my brakes for that same week! This place is great. On 11/10/18 I ran out of gas on my motorcycle then I realized I did not even have my wallet with me to buy a gas can or gas. I saw a Big O Tires shop and walked over there. I asked the guy at the counter if he happened to have a gas can I could borrow and I would return it right away. I did not know how I was going to pay for the gas to put in it other than start calling friends who lived in Mountain View and hope someone picked up. I live in Northern Calif and was just down for a quick visit and my money was left at the motel where I stayed. Anyway, this guy, Michael Suarez who is the manager gives me a gas can full of gas. I was so grateful. He was a sweetheart and wouldn't even let me reimburse him for the gas. What a kind person.That sort of help doesn't happen everyday and I am so grateful he was there for me and so kind and pleasant to talk to. This place will try to scam you and waist your time. I called ahead to see if they had a specific model of tires for my car. The guy on the phone (David) told me they were in stock and that they were not busy and could do it right away, and the price was good. I arrived 10 minutes later to the manager claiming they don't have those tires in stock, but they would be willing to sell me some better tires, which I looked up and were very poorly rated. I asked why they told me they had them in stock. They claimed they never spoke to me. There was another associate named David right there who claimed he had been too busy in the last 20 minutes to have taken my call. When I showed them the caller ID log they said I was being disruptive and I should leave. I was extremely upset about them waisting my time. They also said it would take several hours for them to install the tires because they were so busy. read more
