I can tell you guys about how I took my mothers car there to get her tires replaced and they broke one of the TPMS sensors or after I brought it back they checked it and said the light was going to go away and never did. That's not what I'm going to tell you guys about today.. what I'm going to tell you is how I brought my mothers car there for a flat tire repair and experienced one of the most cruel things I have seen in Petaluma. A Hispanic man walked in as I returned to pick up the vehicle asking to purchase 4 tires. The man who assisted him or rather refused to a assist him was Randy Scott. This man claims to be the owner of this business. He told the Hispanic man that this is America and he needs to speak English and needs to leave his shop if he can't because he doesn't want to deal with it. Obviously the gentleman didn't know english very well which I can understand is frustrating to deal with. What I can't understand is the way he approached it.. I intervened and politely said I can translate if you want the man just wants to buy 4 new tires. He looked at me and said no if he can't I don't want to deal with it. I told him why would you refuse business? He told me just like a child would "because I don't want to". I'm sorry but it's 2021. The look in his eyes said it all I've seen that look before.. any person of color knows what look I'm talking about. My mother doesn't speak English very well and to think that she was almost the one who was going to take the vehicle to be repaired today. We need to be better. We need to do better. Everyone I know has had a problem with their car after taking their car into this shop. Whether they do not screw the caps back on and have oil leaking out of their car, or they cause another problem. After a year of getting my brakes done I am having to get them done again. After a year and a half of getting my tires done I am having to get them replaced. I service my car regularly, get my oil changed on time and get my tires rotated every time. They may have better deals but you will be paying for it in the long run. Never going there again and making sure no one I know goes there as well. read more

I travel for work and it is not easy to get this important maintenance done. In addition I asked if they could also test my battery. Since I would need one soon I asked if they could squeeze that in too. They did! Turned out I also had a nail in a tire. They fixed that too. I was greeted by Chad who was very friendly. He suggested the best tires for my car and they were purchased within a matter of minutes. Avoid this business at all possible chances. Randy Scott (Owner) was the most unhelpful, completely rude human being I have encounter in a business setting. Was advised by lease company to go here to get my blown tire replaced. While calling to verify he had tire I was in need for I should have noticed red flags, he was very dismissive. Once arrived in shop said I my vehicle was part of a lease company and they had already authorized repair. That he needed to call and get Purchase Order Number. Owner Randy Scott began to unravel how he owns the business and chooses not to do lease company cars. I was at a loss, I don't wish to have someone do something they choose not to do but he was not even trying to over come any barriers or assist with my problem. I asked how we could do business together even though I should have ran. He said if I got a credit card he would. I asked if he sells tires to other shops thinking I should go down street to a respectable place then have them source the tire. Calling my lease company they said since it was an emergency being it was Sunday and I am driving on a spare they would give Credit Card. Handed my phone to Randy and he exploded!!! Telling the rep on the phone to loose the attitude! He threatened to send me packing out if he didn't loose the attitude and that he was the owner of business for 23 years and he chooses who he does business with. At this point I said give me my phone I choose not to do business with you. I told him that I couldn't believe how rude and disrespectful he was, and I couldn't understand how he wouldn't act like a business owner. Do not even step foot in this place, they are crooks! My wife went here to change tires because it was the only place open on Sunday. We aren't from Petaluma and she was visiting her mother for the weekend and needed 2 tires replaced before making the trip home. The man at the counter Randy tells her that 3 tires need changing and quotes some ridiculous high price, but she's stuck because they are the only place open to perform the work. My wife calls me before giving the go ahead and tells me the total price of over 450.00! I said how can that be, the price doesn't add up. She puts Randy on the phone with me and I asked him how he got to this price? He added in a front end alignment and extended warranty on the tires, without telling us!!! I told to forget the front end alignment and the extended warranty. Just mount and balance the tires, that's it. He got huffy and said he had people there waiting and had to get off the phone. Final price 350.00. Ridiculous!!! He says it will be 20 minutes and it ended up taking an hour and a half! So 2 weeks later, my wife is driving and the brakes go out driving over St. Helena mountain! Thank god nobody was killed and the car wasn't wrecked. We took it to a shop and had them check the brakes. They said someone had overfilled the brake fluid to compensate for the brake pads being worn out. Are you kidding me??? Why didn't these idiots say something about the brakes? They had the tires off looking right at them when the tires were changed. Will never go back and tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY! read more

Can't beleive they are still in buisness!!!! The guy at the front Chad, was very rude, i bought tires from them and told me it would take an hour. I came back two hours later and my car was not done yet. I got no phone call no apology no nothing. They got my interior dirty and left one of my tires loose. My tire almost fell off. I called them and they were too busy to help me right away(I was stunned) I got my vehicle towed to wheel works down the street. They were very helpfull and nice, they took care off me 100%. These guys won't be getting any more business from me. My wife took our vehicle in for a new set of tires, since our previous set had worn out early. They refused to honor the warranty on the old set (purchased from Big-O) and tried to add an alignment onto the bill. We had just had a four-wheel alignment done at our regular mechanic a couple months earlier! When my wife questioned them the owner, Randy, proceeded to yell at her in front of other customers and she left in tears. Avoid this business! Brought my truck in for a simple alignment, as I was referred here by a local auto shop for the work. While performing the alignment they dropped my truck off the lift causing $10,000 worth of damage. The managers response: "It was the new guy, but this is why we have insurance." So this establishments policy is apparently to let the "new guy" drive a $50,000 truck up a lift unsupervised. I'm glad they have "insurance," as I have a feeling that I wasn't the first or last person they will have to file a claim for. In the meantime, I'm out a truck for the next two weeks while it is repaired and my 2014 Ford F150 will forever have a negative carfax report. I'm will also be filing a complaint with the BBB for complete incompetence. Stay far away from this place, as I don't believe they are even remotely capable of performing even the most basic of automotive tasks. read more

They are friendly fellows who will lie to your face. I've seen it happen to another guy while I was in the waiting room. He challenged them saying they could replace the parts as recommended, but he would take those parts for inspection and if they were just fine, he expected full reimbursement. They changed their tune. I've, for convenience (bad choice), been a customer for several years. I had a faulty new tire that leaked. I was told it was out of warranty and would need replacement. Not trustworthy. We had interior lightbulb replacement for front interiror light for our Honda. We are not especially handy -- and it wan't readily apparent how to get into the lamp to change bulb. Asked them how much they'd charge to chage -- they said OVER $60 DOLLARS! Looked it up on YouTube... it was a simple Pop-the-cover-off job. Literally simple and two minutes. Guess what Big O -- you just lost our trust, and we will not longer purchase our oil changes and tires from you. Shame on you, especially given how many thousands of dollars we have spent with you. That leads me to another issue... don't trust them for tires. Listen tp what they say cloesly, they will recommend their Big O label over Michelin, but for reasons that don't make sense such as "warranty." Yet, when my one tire wore out faster than other 3, they would not cover it -- said it was due to bad break roter setting, ehich by the way, THEY did that job too! Money pit. read more

My parents, who are 80, have used Big O for years. First in Portland then in Phoenix. They have always had a good experience. Last year they moved to Petaluma and began using the Big O in town (fortunately only for tire rotations). Last winter the car needed new windshield wipers, which my dad had bought on his own thinking he could change them himself. The next time he went to Big O for a tire rotation, he still hadn't changed the wiper blades so he asked the service rep if they would change them. My dad told him that he be happy to pay for the labor. Later the rep came back and told my father that the wiper blades he bought didn't fit, but Big O would sell him new blades (installed) for $80. Yes, that's not a typo - $80 for wiper blades. Fortunately, my dad declined. Later, when my dad took his car to the Toyota dealership in town for an oil change, he asked them to change the wipers using the same wipers he asked Big O to use. The dealership changed the wiper blades for no charge. The wiper blades were the correct blades for their car. Recently, the car has been riding a little rough and most likely needs an alignment. Today, my dad was about to go to Big O but I stopped him, reminding him of his experience with the wiper blades. Next, I pulled up the Yelp reviews for Big O and after reading them, I encouraged my dad to stay away from Big O in Petaluma. (The reviews weren't very consistent, which had me concerned. Sometimes in reviews, people just have a bad experience and bitch because they don't understand the situation - which looks like a possibility with many Big O reviews. But there were too many people complaining about a bad experience. Plus, my dad's experience last winter is reason enough to stay away from Big O.) DO NOT USE BIG O TIRES ON EAST WASHINGTON. this is a warning for anyone who was thinking of using big o tires - please do not. they will take advantage of you. they are dishonest and will try to get as much money out of you as possible. and this is not the first time you will hear of this. i've heard of this happening quite a few times at this particular big o tires shop. while i was out of town recently, my wife got a nail in a back tire. she, not knowing that i go to a local family owned tire shop in town for our tire needs, went to big o tires. they quickly told her that the tire CANNOT be fixed. because we have an all-wheel-drive, it is recommended to get all new tires rather than replace only the "unrepairable" tire. i fully understand this but the people at big o tires tried to sell my wife all 4 new tires at over $900. she called me while abroad and i told her to put the spare on and i'll deal with it when i get home. after i got home i went to our favorite locally owned tire shop... they fixed the tire in under 15 minutes... AND FOR FREE! and our favorite tire shop in town also charges about $300-$400 less for a set of all new snow/mud tires. so the outcome is that big o tires tried to take advantage of my wife's lack of knowledge of automobiles. they were dishonest and tried to cheat us out of over $900 that we didn't need to spend. big o tires on east washington gets two thumbs down from me. and i'm calling, not only the better business bureau, but also the state of california bureau of automotive repair. read more

This place sucks I brought my truck in for a mount and balance they scratched my wheels and randy was super rude. Thought I was lying and I gave my wheels curb rash. Tho I took videos of each one of my wheels before they got there unprofessionally hands on them. I wasn't going to write a review as I thought the feedback to the company would be more than enough. But, they have gone out of there way to be rude while offering bad service? I took my car in to replace my two back tires as the driver side rear tire was flat. After having AAA fill the tire, I drove over to Big O to have the two rear tires replaced. I let them about the flat and what I wanted to be done. There were no problems with getting the work set-up or paid for, but after we got the car home an issue arose. The driver side front tire was flat when we went to use the car to pick up the kids from school. I informed the rep at Big O(name withheld) about the issue which he stated that I may have run over a nail, possible, but not probable. I ask if he would check with the tech to see if the rear tire was put in the front by mistake. He simply did not or would not check which is where I no longer needed Big O's service. We argued over petty issues for a while then I simply ended the call. I took my car to Mclea's tires who were great (review coming). The reason for this review, is that today, Feb. 19, 2019, I received a call from Big O asking about the review I write to their home office via the feedback email. They were rude, condescending and confrontational after they called me! I would not recommend this business location to anyone ever. read more

I think there are much better places to go in Petaluma. I had a flat tire and dropped by here hoping to get it fixed. Instead, the guy looked at it for about 5 seconds then said it was unfixable. He then pulled out his little measuring gauge and went around looking at my tires mumbling something about how bad they looked then told me I (surprise) needed all new tires. I told him I bought the tires at a Big-O and that they had maybe 40k miles on them. Of course, he then said that 40k is about the time to change them so they were probably out of warranty. So my only option here was to replace all my tires and drop $450 big ones. Thanks, but no thanks. I came to fix one flat tire, not to spend half my paycheck. I then went over to Petaluma Tire source. Rather than try to bait me into dropping a load of cash, the guy there said he had one used tire for $40 out out the door (installed, balanced, etc). I asked, so he also quoted me $345 out the door for a set of 4 new tires with the same mileage guarantee that Big-O quoted me. read more

I went in because i have a slight vibration in my steering wheel and needed my TPS Censor fixed the employee told me i could wait or if i came back he would get me in later i said ya i can come back , i came back at 330 and the employee told me he couldn't get me in ... i was like I'm sorry you told me to come back after i said I'd wait for you, i moved other plans around to try and accommodate you guys (the shop) and now your telling me you can't help me ... i called the manger on my way home and he preceded to tell me it's like a restaurant and he can't get me in cause all the "tables are fool" i was then asked him why his employee would tell me to come back next thing i new the line went dead. I think Big O in Petaluma is great. My Honda Accord seems to attract nails, and even though the tires weren't purchased here, they've fixed 2 punctures and rotated my tires twice...for free! My F-150 got new tires and wheels from Big O, and I got a great deal. BF Goodrich A/T's for, I think, $100 a piece. That's a good price for tires that can climb the side of a building! They fixed an alignment in the same F-150, that another under body shop botched. (What was a nearly perfect alignment before became so bad you couldn't drive the truck on the highway...how the hell do you do that?) Big O fixed it on the first try! Finally, my first car (a little Saturn) got new brakes here. I was amazed at how much better the car stopped! They're always honest, professional, and fairly priced, and that's appreciated. read more

Hi everyone. Just wanted to let you know that Big O Tires on Washington just charged me $35 to fix and routine flat tire. I joked with Randy (my service person) and said it used to be $10 not too long ago. He joked back and said "yeah and gas used to be $.19 a gallon". I was not happy with the price or his service when I left and decided to call Wheel Works down the street and they charge $20.15 so don't take your car to Big O for service or tires unless you want to be taken to the cleaners AND get poor service. read more

I love this place!! The people who work here are very nice and get things done fast!!!! Genuine customer service!! We had an emergency with our BMW, and just came here because we had to get off the freeway fast. We stopped by two other places where people were lazy and didnt even bother to help, and then stopped here... Lovely people work here. They took care of our issue, especially one handsome man who kept joking and being very friendly with us. They helped us within 5 mins and we were back on the road (had a tight schedule). I hate writing a bad review but if I could give less then 1 star I would. I came in for an oil change and a tire rotation, standard stuff. I was quoted hour and half wait which wasn't a problem. After 3 hours of my car not being worked on and empty bays I asked when it would be completed. Turns out they lost the paper work and took 2 more hours to complete the work. After 5 hours of waiting in a dirty waiting room, the least sincere apology I ever heard I will not be returning. read more

Today I experienced a employee that wae not respectful or helpful after payment. Rotten attitude from helper who thew keys on the seat instead of leaving keys in the ignition., I was told keys were in the ignition. I could not locate them and he watched me walk back and forth inquiring where my my.keys were. He parked the car and was just a jerk watching me instead of simply saying I left the keys on the seat. read more

I had a VERY positive experience with this Big O Tire store! I was fully prepared to suck it up and buy a tire after I'd used Fix-a-Flat on a flat tire (parked on a hill & couldn't change it out). I'd called numerous local tire stores in town & was (pretty much) given that song & dance I'd expected to hear 'we don't fix tires with Fix-a-Flat, you'll have to buy a new tire'. I showed up yesterday prepared to purchase a new economy grade tire & was told that they do indeed make the effort to fix tires with Fix-a-Flat! No-brainer for me, if it works, Great - if not, I buy the tire I expected to buy when I got there. $30 later, (not $80) I was happy to drive out with a repaired tire!
