Ginger onion sauce! It comes with a pulled chicken usually but trust me, ask for it! My husband is vegetarian/pescatarian and he loves their tofu choices here! Tonight we tried egg tofu! So delicious!! We got salt and pepper, tofu, and we were impressed that they were different I'm so grateful for them being open again!! We missed them when we thought they had closed forever. It's like losing a family member. The service was good. He was very helpful in finding the sauce that I was looking for and giving me the name for it. This way when I come back, I can read my Yelp review and get it again The Insight is nice if you walk in and see heat lamps you're in the wrong side of the building That's what I did

Beef chow fun. Beef was super soft!

First time here, lots of parking in the back. Small sign, look at the door. Service was fast and friendly. Table of three at 12noon and lots of space and food was hot and fresh and quick! Would definitely return! Their in house chili bean sauce was amazing!!!

Big Skyy is back you'll! I don't know what happened at the property they previously occupied, but several other restaurants also lost their suites, do probably something to do with the management company. Fortunately, Hong Kong Express down the street entered a partnership and now people can order Big Skyy items to go there, or dine-in next door where there's a new dining room. Sure, it's smaller, but at least it's the old menu. My return visit brought back the old memories, and the owner remembered me, which is great. The Shanghai soup dumplings are as good as before, and so was the pork belly with jalapeños. Great food and ambiance. Dim sum is back in force.

Finally, the best family Chinese food in town is opened back up. It's a nicer, smaller space and more intimate. As always the food is always fresh and delicious made to order. Service is fast as usual. The owner is super friendly and outgoing.

Looking for a hidden gem? This is it. We stumbled across Big Skyy Bistro by accident and can't be happier. It will be our go to for dim sums and Chinese food. Everything was made fresh. The su-mais were huge. Hai-gows too. The steamed bbq pork buns were so soft they almost fell apart in my hands. House fried rice was very tasty sesame balls on point. The Peking style pork chips was my favorite. The beef fried crispy noodles were delicious. Service was so fast. Try this place and you will be hooked

One of the best Chinese food in riverside. The owners were super nice and funny. Their food is really good and authentic. There is also a variety to choose from. Their siu mai is huge and tastes amazing. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. It's all hand made so no pre prepared food. I think there is a good takeout spot next door that is owned by the same people

Tried out this place with my boyfriend, today was 4th of july and it was open ! The customer service there was amazing, waiter were very friendly and attentive, they even pack your food for you to take home. The ambiance of the place was very calm and clean everyone there was enjoying their food. If you are looking for a place that sells good chinese food aka dimsum ! This is the place you have to try everything came out fresh and didn't taste frozen! It does look misleading from the outside but Everything else makes up for it !

Hong Kong lobster and milk tea

This place just opened their new location and it is so amazing still. Best dishes in my opinion are the beef chow fun, Hong Kong lobster, milk tea, walnut shrimp, green beans and so much more just ask your server. Family owned and great place to bring your family of all ages!!!!! Service is amazing!!

Apparently they are the same owners as Big Sky Bistro down the street. They have plans to expand next door where the pizza parlor used to be to seat bigger parties. Ordered dine in menus over at Hong Kong Express. Tastes exactly the same. Good food for my soul.

Big sky bistro has opened a new dine in restaurant next to Hong Kong express. If you loved the old big sky, you will love the new one too. Same great food same great owners in a nice New location. Highly recommend Jon and Eddie are the best.

Updated: October 31, 2025 This is for those who are trying to go to BSB. This is our go to place for dim sum. They are still in operation but not at the location they once were in. They are currently operating inside Hong Kong Express which is less than a block east of their old place. They are awaiting permits for the space next door. We were a bit hesitant because it looks like Chinese fast food but they have a smaller version of their original menu. We were able to order our favorites & it was all good. I think they have the best pork and preserved egg congee with Chinese donuts. I look forward to when they will be in their own space. Our server Fei and the other server (didn't get her name) provided great service and was very nice and attentive.

I want to be clear -- I **loved** this place. Their dim sum? Incredible. Their entrees? Always on point. Big Sky was my **go-to Chinese food spot in Riverside** for years. **Then tonight happened.** I placed a DoorDash pickup order at their new location -- sweet and sour pork, beef chow fun, beef porridge, pork and shrimp siu mai, and white rice. They even threw in extra rice, and I was genuinely excited to dig in. That excitement ended the moment I looked down at my bowl and found a **MAGGOT sitting on top of my rice.** I called the restaurant immediately and calmly explained what happened. They told me to contact DoorDash since that's how I ordered. Fine. I reported it through DoorDash's platform and waited. Then I got a call back from DoorDash -- not to help me, but to relay a message: **Big Sky had contacted them specifically to refuse my refund.** Let that sink in. A customer found a maggot in their food, couldn't eat a single bite of a $54.19 order, and the restaurant's response was to **actively call DoorDash to make sure I didn't get my money back.** I understand that occasionally bugs happen in food service. It's gross, but I was fully prepared to move on had they simply taken responsibility. Instead, they chose to fight a $54 refund over a maggot. That tells you everything you need to know about how this restaurant values its customers. **Eat here at your own risk -- and if something's wrong, you're on your own.**

The Big Skyy Restaurant in Riverside quietly reopened three weeks ago. It's a smaller space now, with a tighter team, but the flavors are still on point. If you enjoy authentic Cantonese dishes, dim sum, Chinese barbecue, and classic home‑style cooking, this spot is absolutely worth a visit

Everything was really good. It was refreshing to find a place this close to home that actually hit the spot--even my parents thought it was good, which says a lot. We usually end up driving out to Rowland Heights for Chinese food, so having something like this down the street in Corona is nice. The pan fried shao mai was probably the surprise favorite for me since I've never had it prepared that way before. The xiao long bao wrapper was a little thicker than what I'm used to, but it was still good. Honestly, nothing we ordered disappointed. Food came out pretty quickly too, so even though there's usually a line, it moves faster than you'd expect.

Yet the menu is a small but authentic set of items, mostly Shanghai style. The good: the food was mostly excellent. The 生煎包 (panfried pork buns) was one of the best I've had in the U.S. , 荠菜肉丝炒年糕 (rice cake with shepherds purse and shredded pork) was a really nice texture and flavor, and braised eel 鳝鱼 what is a rarely found dish in the US and quite tasty. The bad: prices were high but this would be ok if it weren't for... The ugly: the service is literally the worst I've ever experienced at a restaurant. When we first sat down, we were one of only three tables so service was swift and reasonable, but pretty quickly the restaurant filled up and we stopped getting our food. In fact, we never got two out of the three items we originally ordered. It also took multiple tries to get more pan fried pork buns, and when they eventually came 45 mins later, they were soggy and not nearly as good as the first batch. We also never got water refills and the three guests who came later just never got water. Finally, I pointed out a hair in one of the dishes, and they never even offered any compensation. The waiters kept forgetting in general. If I'm craving this stuff, I might come during a less busy time. Sadly, the bar for that might be a little high due to this poor experience.
