Just had the worst experience for dinner. It was only 6pm with four patrons in front of us and it took 30 min just to place an order. They were out of 4 of 6 bread options (bowl, onion, garlic, panini) (at 6pm!) and out of ice. The place looked dirty and it took another 15 min just to make the food with no one else in line or calling. We get back and they screwed up the one mini sandwich my friend ordered and forgot a salad in mine. We weren't offered any kind of discount or warned in advance before our wait that they are out of bread! With Panera nearby we won't be making this mistake again. read more

I used to love this place but it's not even worth going anymore. I went last week and they were out of panini bread so I ordered one on normal bread which the cashier said was fine. I got a cold cheese sandwich with lettuce(which doesn't come on what I ordered) and had a giant chunk of turkey stuck to the wrapper which doesn't even come on the sandwich, and I'm vegetarian. The panini was a cold cheese sandwich. When I pointed out that it was wrong he microwaved my bottom piece of bread with the cheese which was terrible. $7.70 for a cold hard half microwaved sandwich. And a 25 minute wait for the wrong item. I tried again today to order the same thing and the person making me panini was literally fanning themselves with my bread in the back! So gross. I cannot keep coming here and wasting my money. It's a shame that they don't care. read more

My favorite sandwich shop by far. The product alone is the best and the bread is very soft. What I also like about it is the customer service. Today for example I went in and a few things annoyed me so I was probably rude. Despite my behavior they stayed positive and wanted to fix the problem. Not many people would react this way to solve the conflict. She also gave me a lot of extra cheese that made my grandma happy happy happy. read more

Full disclosure-- I worked here in college several years ago. I have since moved to California and it's been several years since I've made it back up to Portland. I was only here for 2 days, but this was my first must-see. Their food is so friggin' good. The only problem is that there are real ebbs and flows in the customers, so sometimes they are slammed and it takes awhile for food to get out. Honestly, though, it's worth the wait. Had a reuben yesterday and it was first class. Ate the first half hot, before a hike in the Columbia River Gorge, and ate the other half cold afterwards. :) They seemed a little overbooked with work and it took 5-6 minutes in line to get my order going, but it was worth it and they apologized several times for the delay. Apparently they ran out of lettuce and had to send somebody out for more, which made them short-handed. Or perhaps the International Lettuce Cartel was behind it. Don't know. I just waited 25 minutes for my sandwich. It was supposed to be an Italian sandwich. It was just deli meat and cheese and had no flavor at all. They probably didn't bother to put any of the oil or vinegar on it like it's supposed to have. For $10 I could've made a way better sandwich myself. Next time I will. The place was empty when I came in. My husband placed the order and got the drink. For being empty there were no clean tables. They all had crumbs on them or on the seats. After I cleaned up a table to sit at the food was surprisingly good. The bread is totally worth the trip here. The cranberry turkey is good but kind of odd with mayonnaise. The roast beef sandwich was also good and moist. If you are wanting a change from subway you should try a sandwich with this establishment. read more

Went in today and ordered the BLT sub. If there were truth in advertising they would call it the lettuce sub with just a hint of bacon and tomato. The "bacon" was thin, undercooked and greasy. It barely mattered however because there wasn't really much in it anyway. This place is actually worse than Subway if that's possible. read more
