We visited Biggers to look at a certified, pre-owned vehicle that would be a good fit for our needs and family. After looking at something we liked, we had a few questions about its history, details about the remaining warrant, etc. The salesperson was not able to answer them, but as this was about 30 minutes before close and right before the holidays, we excused it, assuming that we would get this information at some point. Later that week, we returned with our trade-in and hoped to purchase the new vehicle. Earlier that day, we called the sales person twice with no answer and also emailed. When he finally responded, he confirmed our appointment but did not acknowledge our questions. When we arrived, we were greeted by a sales manager who cracked a joke about how annoying my 80 year old father had been, who was with us on the previous visit. As we sat down to discuss the details of the sale, our trade-in was radically undervalued, and we learned that they were unwilling to negotiate the base price of the car. The sales manager was rude, disrespectful, made excuses for not getting us the car information and generally made for a poor experience. In short, his attitude was that of annoyance that we were not just going to take their vehicle without any questions or deal making. (Isn't that what buying a car is all about?) Overall, it was an incredibly poor experience across several employees and a waste of two trips from Chicago to Elgin to walk away without even attempting to make a deal. read more

I was looking for a vehicle that is hard to find and I wanted one fairly new with low miles and my internet search brought up only 2 within 250 miles of me. I called this dealership and spoke with Arnold (salesperson) and arranged a day and time to check out this vehicle. In the meanwhile I found out that the car didn't have an option that I thought I needed. The next morning of the appointment Arnold called me back and when I told him about the option (GPS) I needed he explained that the Apply CarPlay will show my GPS. Well I did some research and found out he was CORRECT. I felt bad that I missed my time slot so I told them I would now come but they are 90 minutes away. I also called the other dealership and let them know I would be in there area (8 miles apart). I asked both dealerships to charge up the HV battery so I can test the EV function of the PHEV. I arrived and was greeted at the door by Rafal (aka Raf) who told me that Arnold was busy and I also met Joe a very nice fellow who was the manager. Joe insured that Raf pulled the car into the service bay so I could look over car without the bother of the rain outside. I took it for a drive and it was what I was looking for. To be a prudent shopper I did inform them of the other dealership that had comparable vehicle and I went there and although the vehicle was cheaper it wasn't spotless as Biggers and the service there was horrible and they didn't even charge the EV battery. I went back to Biggers and told them what I found at the other dealership and without haggling, games or fanfare Joe made me a very fair offer and I bought the vehicle. They then insisted on detailing car again (it was raining), filled up the gas tank and when I told them I wanted to order all weather floor mats they threw them into the deal. To say I absolutely hate going to dealerships to buy cars is an understatement so much it has been 7 years since last purchase but Biggers really has change my mind and experience about dealerships. I was in and out fairly quick with new license plates (not temp tags) with everything I needed. If you are in the market I would highly suggest you check out Biggers and speak to Joe and Raf (or Arnold) and see what they have to offer for you. read more

Took car here for years. Had a good thing going. Always fixed what the report card they gave me from oil change. Then "out of the blue" after and oil change got a $2000 repair need for rusted framing. Just so happened to be 15000 miles over my warranty. And just so happens that all the previous 4 oil changes over the past year they had not noticed it on their "multi-point vehicle inspection". So well under 100,000 miles, still hoping it is under their satisfaction warranty and they should stand by their product. But no. Full charge and no recall on this line of cars, yet there has been a recall on same part for other line of mistubishi cars. Pathetic. Staying away from mitsubishi for life. read more

Stay far away from this place. Went in to a service call and a bottle of brandy I had in the trunk mysteriously disappeared. This was in a follow up to a previous visit, where I went in because of a weird noise in my suspension. The first time I went in, they marked my brakes as 2mm or less, and tried to get me to replace all my brakes for $400. When I went back a few weeks later for the same issue, the inspection said my brakes were fine, 5+ mm in thickness even though I did NOTHING to the brakes. This means that they either tried to cheat me the first time, or they didn't inspect them correctly the second time and are putting me in danger by sending me off with bad brakes. I'm leaning towards them trying to cheat me since the car has only 30k mostly highway miles on it. We will find out for sure once I got to a reputable mechanic. They steal from your car, try to cheat you on repairs you don't need, and lie on the inspection. DO NOT GO HERE! read more

He gave me all the info I was looking for and was patient and not at all pushy. I had been looking at an Outlander online and after a few days I decided to take a look at it.I drove an entire hour to see it. They pulled a bait and switch. The car I had been looking at for DAYS was "sent back to be detailed and shipped out" when I showed up. How convenient. I dealt with Jim and it is safe to say I will never recommend Biggers Mitsubishi nor will I ever do business with them. Steer clear of this business. So I bought my 2006 mitsubishi eclipse about 3 weeks ago and I've been in love ever since. It was out of chance that we ended at biggers that night, but it ended well. First we were greeted by max as he graciously held the door for us walking in from the rain. We told him out request to test drive and he was right on it. Drove it around, then asked him some questions which he never hesitated to answer. Like I said I feel in love right away, but I wasn't exactly prepared to but a car that day. Max was great, told me my options and never once may me feel obligated to do anything. A week later I went back in to ask a question about some lights that turned on. Again the folks at biggers mitsubishi were helpful and attended to my needs. Not only did they fix my problem, but attached my license plate with a new cover and gave the car good wash. I have never had such wonderful service. Started looking at lancers and the beginning of the year and came to Biggers since it was close to home. That's when we met Nathan Hughes. Awesome guy, didn't talk over me. listened to my concerns and my situation. Didn't push me to a car i didn't want. didn't get anything but told him i would keep in contact. I like that he would check in on me and when he thought he had a car that i might like he would let me know. Finally in may is when i made the choice to go get the lancer. i stopped in and saw Nathan. i have horrible credit so the fact that they were able to get me a loan that fit my needs was amazing. ( mind you they had stayed 2 hours after close just for this. ) We met with Jose Alicea, who explained loan terms and got me plates and all that was also very very helpful, patient and kind with me. After receiving endless voicemails and notices in the mail, I gave in and called the dealer to set up an appointment to replace the airbag. I was hesitant because I had heard stories of other owners having their dashboard cracked, scuffed and torn. I assured the dealer that they could take as much time as they needed with the car to prevent this from happening, and what they described as "simple repairs" took them a whole service day. When I came to pick up my car the manager of the service team had already gone home ( understandable as I picked my car up after service hours), so I simply looked over it, noted the flaws and took pictures, then took the car home. The following Monday I received a phonecall asking if I was satisfied with the work and listed my complaints which were addressed at a later time. The service manager stated that since the car had aftermarket gauges it was not the dealers problem that the dashboard was cracked in completely different areas, because it had previously been tampered with. I will not deal with this place I paused to look at a picture of a car they had posted online went to look and see if it had the manual transmission I would want, a pop up window showed up on my phone I skipped it just trying to check the transmission, would have had to go through the whole search on the site find the car again, not that interested so I backed out of the site. Less then a minute later my phone rings they are asking if I am still interested in the car, if I was that ended any interest I had.
