The Bloody Marys were okay, but definitely not the best I've had. The highlight of this place is the atmosphere. It's filled with lush greenery and beautiful flowers, creating a relaxing and inviting setting. Unfortunately, the food and drinks didn't quite live up to the ambiance.

The first day we stopped for dinner. I ordered a burger and fries....and let me tell you...that burger was grilled to perfection with a delicious char broil flavor. Twice we enjoyed breakfast there and never disappointed. They offer Swiss sausage that is deliciously awesome and perhaps some of the tastiest breakfast potatoes I have ever tasted(next to my own,of course)!!! It's a nice welcoming for folks like us who were passing through the little town. A big smiling dog named Bear greets passers-by with a tailwag while walking down the sidewalk. They wove a lot of creativity and love into the restaurant with baseball caps decorating the ceiling and all of the crossstitch in the ladies' bathroom. My husband and I shared a Cinnamon Roll. Warm icing oozes over it. Not for the faint of heart - it is SWEET! I had the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito and my husband had the Country Fried Steak. No real frills with the food. My husband is a stickler for hot food and his eggs came out cold. We thought the lovely people made our experience worthwhile.

When he came back he told me that they had him leave a credit card with them when he placed the order. We weren't drinking alcohol, so this didn't seem necessary. They did finally find it about 20 minutes later. No apologies or anything other than dumping the check at the end of the table. Not being Hispanic, I always take their word for their authenticity. Martin's Restaurant has some of the finest Mexican food I have consumed. It seems that Martin's also has an ace. In addition to its extensive Mexican selections, it also has an extensive Italian cuisine. We chose to choose our dinner from the Mexican choices and did not regret our decisions. If their Italian cuisine is evan a shadow to its South American recipes, then Martin's is truly a gem. If you want a great Mexican meal, go to Martin's.

The wife had roasted eggplant and I had the pork saltimbocca which were both tasty and generous in the portions. I noticed that a fair number of people took take-away boxes as did we. What threw things off was the terrible acoustics. All hard surfaces in a fairly small space meant that the any conversation anywhere added to a very high noise level even when the restaurant was only 2/3 full. And when people left towards the end of the night the musak was even worse, no clarity whatsoever just noise. It was difficult to carry on a normal conversation without leaning in to hear each other. We'll go back again, but just making sure that we sit outside.
