Javier, the owner was a hot headed, defensive, abrasive person. After I paid him $2800 in cash, up front before I handed him the keys to begin to replace my soft top convertible and broken rear window I left him my car with radio working 100%. When I picked up completed car I turned on radio after driving one block and there was no sound from front speakers. When I returned the next day and explained that speakers were working when I dropped off car and they weren't working when I picked up the car Javier said loudly and defensively "I don't touch radio or work on sound systems !". I said I know you didn't intentionally change sound system. Maybe it was an accident and your technician accidentally dislocated a wire connection or hit a switch. Could you please take 10 minutes and retrace your steps and perhaps find a simple fix. He screamed again yelling we don't touch radio. I said it's not the radio it's the sound system. He again yelled we don't fix sound system and told me to take my car to a radio shop. I went to a radio sound technician and they found that the front speaker amplifier switch had accidentally been switched to low fidelity instead of high fidelity which caused the sound in front speakers to be muddled. They charged me $150 for labor. When I returned to Javier to explain he said again he's not responsible for sound and refused to reimburse me the $150 even though his technician accidentally hit the switch on amplifier even though he refused to initially retrace his steps and correct a simple mistake. He's a greedy, petulant, small defensive man who refused to reimburse me $150 after I had paid him $2800 up front. NEVER USE THIS PETTY PERSON!! read more

Not a good experience - I needed some upholstery done, it was my first time there, the owner and I talked about what was to be done - it was all done verbally, (leaving room for miscommunications) a red flag I wish I would have caught - long story short the result was not what I thought we had discussed... So if you go here make sure you ask for a itemized list of work and know the cost before you leave. I found the owner to be temperamental and hot headed. This shop saved me. An entire can of paint spilled in my trunk and was everywhere. Dripping behind the seats and the entire truck was covered in gray paint. We weren't sure if I would have to replace all the felt-like material, but they were able to clean it beautifully. They worked so hard on my car and it looks brand new! when who ever first charged me $170.00 to reupholster a little ass dirt bike seat for my Honda cafe project I was pretty pissed off and felt was a straight rip off . but I has already agreed and was like fuck it I just want the seat new again . I have an old 1990 Toyota Dually with just under 200,000 miles on it. The vinyl seat was in shreds and much of the foam was worn to the springs. I had looked into getting a new seat, but they were not available and would have cost a small fortune if they were, and I wasn't happy with anyting I saw in the junk yard. My mechanic, Mike Garvey of Accurate Automotive recommended Javier at Bill Dunn Auto Upolstery. He offered me a very good price if I used material he already had in his shop. I decided to go for it and asked if he had any gray leather in stock. He did. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I was speechless. All I could say was "Oh my God!" I expected it to be good, but this was as close to perfect as it gets! It looked better than new. It's been a couple of weeks now and every time I get into my truck, it's absolute pleasure. I'm not sure if all detailers are rip-offs and I just never knew that because I've never had it done, or this place is less than great. Hence the 3 stars. The interior looks great but I expected the exterior to look better than just as good as a good car wash. They were nice and the owner offered to touch up the paint on my bumper if I got the paint for him but I just didn't think the detailing was worth $140. Quick tip -- they don't take credit cards. And the driveway is just before the entrance to the Ameci pizza place parking lot. It's easy to miss. read more

Casildo and Company are amazing. I have an Older Surf Van that was experiencing leaks whenever the rain came. I was referred to them by another shop and told they are the best at upholstery and the kind of auto glass work I needed. Guess what? That's what I experienced. They couldn't find replacement glass so they found a custom workaround and now my Van is leak proof once more. I can't thank them enough. They squeezed me into the schedule and I dropped it off and went to work. They had it ready when they said they would, and what a nice surprise I when I came to pick it up after work. A real waste of time. Bill Dunn may have done good work. But the new owner Javier wasted a GREAT deal of my time and my efforts to work with him. His first estimate was only verbal and extremely casual (Hint - red flag!) even though I asked for an estimate. No big deal. But when I returned to drop the car off (with an appt of course), I even told him I was not concerned about price, just the quality of the work, because I wanted a great end result and wanted Javier and his worker to not feel rushed. But Javier knew my car was coming, he had seen and estimated my convertible top, yet he did not have the basic materials needed! - I mean basic materials for a canvas top like snaps, webbing, etc. (HINT - Red flag). Since he had not given me a written estimate, he asked me what price he quoted me days prior. But there was nothing in writing because he does not really seem to consider the time of others. So he wrote me a new estimate.....ON THE BACK OF SOMEONE ELSE's REPAIR ORDER. (HINT - Red flag!) OK....so a lot of repair shops are like this, not too big a deal IF they do great work. But this business is not only an un-professional, dis-organized mess, it is a recipe for regret if you have a nice vehicle. It seems like it is just Javier and his worker there (who actually does the work). It may be fine for a motorcycle seat. But if you are planning on leaving a valuable, semi-precious or enthusiast car...really think twice and use your intuition. Javier seems to be uninterested in the work and the customer. I saw the danger signs for my vehicle, got in my vehicle and removed my car from their shop's bay. (Of course that was difficult too as this space is REALLY tight and is shared with a mechanical shop and another business! In my humble opinion, this choice will leave you wondering where you got your paint scratched or your door dinged. (Side note: He seems like a nice enough guy, but Javier had no face covering on at all and did not seem to think at all about keeping any distance from me. urgh!) read more

They did a great job. My ceiling "headliner" was starting to pull away from the foam and was sagging. I had been to the Volvo dealer earlier and they said they'd charge $2000 to replace the fabric. They agreed that was too much and they sent me to Bill Dunn. I drove over next, saw Casildo, he quoted a much more reasonable price, matched the fabric and told me to leave the car. Next morning they called, said it was done. It looks factory new. They did a great job, quickly and were very courteous. I took my car in today for some minor interior work. The fabric molding along the window and door was coming off. I asked them to glue it back on and they did. However, I was not impressed with the work at all. Parts of the molding were still loose, and in other areas, you could see the glue that had seeped out. Frankly, if I had had the time, I could have done at least as good a job as they did. I expected something that looked more professional. I will not be taking my car there again. read more
