Read this restaurant chain has some really good pizza. We got the works pizza. Lots of meat and toppings, but very little sauce and lacked flavor. Nice crisp crust if eaten immediately. Lots of Chicago sports memorabilia, but you would not make it in Chicago, Billy Q. Add a little more sauce, little cheese on top not just under toppings and season the ground beef with some salt and pepper. Check out Nick and Vito in Chicago for real pizza. read more

I'm going to start off by saying I am NOT a pizza person I never crave it, it's not my first choice, I'm like that with Italian food altogether. So when my friend asked if we wanted pizza after leaving the trampoline park I was all for it only because I had my kids with me. My daughter is a very picky eater as well so I wasn't expecting her to eat anything. I ordered the taco pizza and OMG it was soooo delicious. This was a week ago and I'm still thinking about it. I got the personal size which was more then enough for me and that pizza was amazing. The crust was the perfect texture, thin and a little crispy. I went home and told my husband all about it. My daughter who initially didn't want any ate 3 slices of the cheese pizza and I was so impressed because one she never eats and 2 to eat that much was a direct reflection of how tasty it was. Needed to grab lunch before heading back to LA. Hit this spot based on the other reviews I saw here. So glad I went with Pizza over Mexican. I felt like I dropped in to a great little hometown spot. The kind of place a family (maybe even the whole team) come to after a little league game. The food was solid (I had the Works Pizza), the service warm (husband making pies, wife working the tables, and son bussing), and I left with a smile on my face. Well done Billy Q. Sadly not a fan! I feel like it's a little unfair because of the great reviews because I had higher expectations! First of all the price is a tad expensive for the quality of pizza. I was very disappointed with the crust however the toppings were great. I judge a great pizza by the crust and this was nothing to remember. Large pizza was $22, very small gluten free pizza $14, bread sticks w/ sauce &8, and a chef salad $10! It wouldn't be so bad if I felt like the quality of the food was worth it. My family and I are in town for the holidays and just yelped a good pizza joint. The customer service deserves 5 stars! Very friendly and informative. Yum and friendly service!!!! We tried 2 pizzas, cheesesteak sandwhich and a meatball sandwich. Alllll were fantastic! Fries were SO good!!! And pizza was yummy, the crust wasn't soggy and they do not skimp on toppings. They do charge for sides like ranch and marinara. I think the service set them apart. Billy Q's was exactly what we needed. After making the drive from Vegas, we were looking for a good meal without a ton of us. What we found was a hidden gem. The Chicago oriented eatery was a fantastic. The ravioli and homemade sauce were great, pizza was cooked perfectly, and the pastrami sandwich was the best I have ever had. On top of that, we spent 20 minutes speaking with the owner and she is an absolute sweetheart. We make it out this way fairly often and we will be sure to make this stop a regular occurrence. If you're in the area, stop and eat. If you're not in the area, go and eat anyway. Great food and great people. read more

We are frequent visitors to Palm Desert, and have our "usual" joints to eat, but decided to venture over to Billy Qs tonight. Fantastic service, very attentive and excellent service from the start. The place was super full, but we were well taken care of! We ordered the wings, which come with the sauce on the side. Initially we questioned their tactics, but they well season their breaking and it is spicy all on its own... My husband got to eat it spicy without sauce, and I got to dunk mine for an extra kick! We got blue cheese and ranch dressing. The BC is more of a super garlicky Caesar with some bits of blue cheese thrown in (not my fave) but my daughter thought it was awesome. We got a house salad which was vey fresh and a big salad for the price. We ordered a large pizza on sourdough crust, and it didn't disappoint. It was a solid pizza, lots of toppings, and the sausage topping was particularly amazing. Thanks for a great experience! We give it a solid 4 stars! If it holds up to this standard on our next trip, we will give it 5..... In our opinion, the fifth star is earned if a place shows continued excellent standards over time.... The food was great! My kids destroyed their food too which is always a good sign. The waiter was timely but wouldn't let us sit where we wanted to sit. I didn't really understand that. But I'll trust they had a method to this. It really annoyed my fiancé that they were saving the front table for a possible larger party coming in (we are a party of 4 and we wanted the 6 top by the tvs that was empty and perfect) and instead put us at the very back possible table by the bathrooms HA!
