I can't believe this place gets 4-1/2 stars. Burgers that fall apart when you eat them. Steak n Shake style fries. Unseasoned bland side dishes. High bar prices. We've been several times now and while I won't say I won't go back, it will never be a first choice. read more

This place is super cute and our service was awesome. Food and drinks came out fast. Drinks were great. I got a mimosa and my bf got a margarita. We ordered the meatloaf and the Nashville hot Mac and cheese. The food was just okay nothing special. The meatloaf was dry and the carrots were not cooked. The Mac and cheese seemed watery even though the chicken that was in the Mac and cheese had a super great taste. Good place for downtown Hamilton but lost some stars because of the food. Casual American restaurant & bar. Food was excellent. Brussels Sprouts & chick pea side/appetizer is highly recommended. Southwest Salad with shrimp was fresh and quite tasty. My companion RAVED about the Fried Bologna sandwich - it looked fantastic with thick well-fried bologna topped with grippos potato chips. We decided to drop in on a Thursday after 5. The food was great! Drinks reasonable and all over feel of the place very nice. Hubby had the PoBoy with the Mac n cheese...delish! I had a special of chicken pot pie and salad with bourbon vinaigrette. Again very pleased with this Hamilton venue. Nice inside bar with cafe, outside seating and small intimate bourbon bar. Continues to be one of my favorite places in town. Tried something different this time, had the Cob salad. Enjoyed it very much. Lettuce was sliced thin, so I didn't have to dig thru big pieces. Good blend of avocado, bacon and egg. The dressing is already blended on without it being a big puddle of soup. My wife tried the new dish, chicken and dumplings. It's made with pieces of biscuits for the dumplings, which I thought was ok. She didn't care as much, more of a traditionalist when it comes to comfort food! read more

Excellent food and service. I had a huge piece of fish with the fish and chips. Chips (fries) were thin and crispy. Amazing carrot cake.

Dinning floor is a bit too crowded and the tables are about the size of a folding card table. Food was good and prices were a little on the high side based on potions and quality though. I'll try it again when it's warmer weather to see if it's any better. read more

Their burgers are excellent and their deviled eggs are great. Only downside is parking but get beyond that you won't be disappointed.

The food was really good and the atmosphere is like an old western bar and I recommend the grilled chicken sandwich.

Finally made to Billy Yanks and we were not disappointed! We started with the high street nachos and we added a cup of chili which was a nice switch from the typical salsa. My husband got an old fashion and said it was a little sweet but was good. The billy burger was perfect! And the chicken club was right there with the burger, fresh and full of flavor. We topped our meal off with the cast iron cookie which was ooey gooey in the middle and slightly crisp around the edge topped with a mix of ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate drizzle. We came on a Friday night around 530 and had a 45 minute wait but ended up waiting 55 minutes, but it gave us time to walk around and check out all the cute mom and pop shops. The staff was pleasant and very attentive. Definitely going to become one of our regular spots ! read more

I was in town visiting some family in Cincinnati Ohio and heard about this place from a good buddy of mine. This place did not disappoint. I got the Big Kahuna burger to eat! It was one of the best restaurant burgers I have ever had. Very moist and the flavors fused together perfectly. It was a recommendation by one of their great bartenders. The bartender also recommended a local beer that was on tap. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. He was also very personable to everyone sitting at the bar. Great atmosphere, even better food! If you are close to Hamilton, OH, stop in and get yourself a good meal and good service! read more

My favorite is the monthly specials, the Sheppards Pie is amazing . Be sure to order the carrots , love those carrots , I order them every time we go. Loud indoor dining. It took a while to get waited on, and food wasn't anything outstanding.

We went July 17 at about 7 PM. There were four adults and two small children. The team member at the door informed us it would be a fifty minute wait but probably closer to 40 minutes. We were strolling around, looking at things when we notice 38 minutes later we were second in line. Long story short at 90 minutes when we went back in to inquire the two team members at the greeter stand became very aggressive and rude, basically yelling at us telling us they were busy, shorthanded and they were doing the best that they could. We were finally seated at 9:20 and the waitress who waited on us was exceptional and the food was good . At no point during this did anyone apologize or do anything but act like we were bothering them. When we spoke to the man who identified himself as one of the owners, the following Tuesday, he stated that he was out of town, but he heard they had great sales that day. read more

My son bought gift cards for us of Christmas, and we stopped by and ate last week. Loved the decor! We had formerly been in the building when it was a paint and wallpaper store with an owner we called Groucho. What a wonderful surprise to see the beautiful room and seating. We ordered salads, fries and hamburgers. The 1/2 salad were very large, very delicious. and I think the greens were from 80 Acre Farms, another wonderful business in Hamilton. i have tried this burger and bourbon place three times now hoping it would get better. it has not. had the nachos tonight. loaded with cheese and lettuce and not much else. very bland. how about some pico, jalapeño, or avocado for flavor? The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was overly drenched in sauce which was not impressive in taste. Again very bland. The cooks could use some lessons and the bar staff could attend a few mixology classes. sorry, three strikes and you're out. No more Billy Yanks for me. read more
