Tried for first time this past Friday. The service was great. I ordered the like Margarita and it was perfect! Not too sweet. The burgers are double stacked smashed burgers but well seasoned with yummy toppings. I also tried the crispy brussel sprouts with hot honey. These were good but a little on the sweet side for me. Others at my table ordered the buffalo Mac n cheese and the regular Mac n cheese w grippos topping and they both seemed to enjoy them. read more

Great location on the corner of C St In Hamilton. Happy Hour from 4-6. Had the pretzel bites with cheese spread, similar to a cheese ball, delicious. $6 old fashioned's with Benchmark Bourbon and the bartender makes a great old fashioned. My wife had the Oktoberfest Burger with sauerkraut, beer brats, mustard cheese sauce on a pretzel bun, yes it's as good as it sounds. I had the Big Blue burger blackened seasoning, onion straws, maple mustard and blue cheese. So gooood. I'll be back for the old fashioned's, great food and service. Was craving a good sandwich or burger for the night and the brewery we were at "municipal brewery" mentioned Billy Yanks. We got there it was booming, but put our name in and waited 10 minutes when quoted 30. Sat down and immediately got help. Looking at the menu we saw great sandwich options, some having spam on it. Never having spam ever I had to try. I got the "big kahuna" wife got "fried bologna". I got fries for the side and they were ok, wife got Mac and cheese with grippos chips and that was awesome. Got the food in a good time frame for how busy it was and I have to say the guys at the brewery knew what they were talking about. Food was hot and I'm a fan of spam on a burger. The Harvest salad was delicious but was smaller than expected for the price. The staff was impressive, knowledgeable, and courteous.

We came here to celebrate a birthday. Great food and outstanding service! The crispy Brussels and chickpea appetizer was delicious. Most of us had burgers and I would definitely get the Billy Burger again. It reminded me of a Big Boy but way better. They have a bourbon bar on the other side but we didn't venture over there. Everything was good, service, food and staff. It is a great SMALL place, but the food was really good.

Writing this while still in the restaurant because it was so good! First visit and definitely impressed! I got the Buffalo chicken grilled cheese and pineapple smash cocktail. Fries were a little salty but I'm also not a huge fan of salt so that may just be me. Sandwich was delicious and tried a bite of the grippos Mac & cheese-highly recommended! Service was great, ate so fast they didn't even have time to check on us (seriously we inhaled our food!). Will for sure be back and next time try the cocktail bar! read more

What a fantastic place! The food was excellent! The atmosphere was excellent! The service was excellent! The cocktails were excellent! This will be a staple in our home. This place is fantastic! Grabbed seats at the bar on Saturday evening. Lively crowd and upbeat, casual atmosphere. The two bartenders were very welcoming and we enjoyed their drink and food recos and small talk. Impressive bourbon selection. I started with an old fashioned. He started with a pour of New Riff. We tried the tempura pickles as an app - a decadent twist on fried pickle chips. I got the patty melt on rye (which was out of sight!) with a side of the brussels sprouts, which were amazing! He got the pot roast French dip and said it was fantastic. So if you want a casual-cool atmosphere with great drinks and great food - this is definitely one to check out! read more

I have lived in Hamilton my entire life. Billy Yank's statue was a staple image of Hamilton! I grew up with memories of walking down Main Street to Tom's Cigar and spending summer days at the local dollar cinema. For a Hamilton OG like myself, this place is simply incredible. This restaurant is what I thought downtown could become after visiting all types of revitalizing cities. They nailed it! Food and drink was incredible. You must visit this place. Went to Billy Yanks last night for my wedding anniversary with my wife and 9-year-old daughter. The menu looked great, I love bourbon, and this place was recommended by friends of ours. When we got there, we put our name on the waitlist. The wait was short and the hostess showed us to our table. As we were being seated, the hostess stated that we needed to be out of the restaurant within the hour due to a large group coming in soon. We probably could have swung it but I didn't want to be rushed. Telling us we are getting kicked out within an hour is information you lead with before being put on a waitlist. Took a group of 10 on a Friday night and it was packed. About an hour wait but went quick as there's plenty to walk around to in the Hamilton DORA while you wait. Once seated service was awesome and apps came out quickly. Spam Fries!!! All the food was prepared as desired and everyone dug in to their burgers. Was a little disappointed in this place. The drinks were pricey for their size. The food menu is small and is not worth the cost. It is very thin burgers stacked twice and more comparable to a fast food chain. I feel sad writing this review and really hope they correct some things for the future. YUM! What a fun experience this was. We were originally quoted 40-50 minutes for two at 6:15pm on Friday, however only had to wait about 20 minutes. So if you are pressed for time probably not the place for you. The atmosphere was amazing and so was the food and service! Everything was really quick and our server was great! The drinks are top notch, just a little small. The burger was cooked perfectly and the Mac and cheese was good. It couple use some thicker cheese in the Mac and cheese or combined with a cheese with a little more flavor. I would be back for sure. read more

This place is awesome. The decor - especially all the different wallpapers- is great! The food is delicious! We had the fried bologna sandwich. It comes with grippo potato chips and a yummy sauce. Also had the Billy burger. Double stacked with grilled onions, cheese and pickles. The side of brussel sprouts was delicious. Came out hot and crusty. There is a bar inside the restaurant and a small bourbon bar attached next door. We had bourbon cocktails before dinner while we waited. This little bourbon bar is very quaint. This place is super cute and our service was awesome. Food and drinks came out fast. Drinks were great. I got a mimosa and my bf got a margarita. We ordered the meatloaf and the Nashville hot Mac and cheese. The food was just okay nothing special. The meatloaf was dry and the carrots were not cooked. The Mac and cheese seemed watery even though the chicken that was in the Mac and cheese had a super great taste. Good place for downtown Hamilton but lost some stars because of the food. I can't believe this place gets 4-1/2 stars. Burgers that fall apart when you eat them. Steak n Shake style fries. Unseasoned bland side dishes. High bar prices. We've been several times now and while I won't say I won't go back, it will never be a first choice. read more

The building is very nice inside and is extremely clean but there is limited space! The food is very delicious and there are many different options! Workers are really respectful and I would recommend Billy Yanks to anyone wanting a nice indoor meal. read more
