Stopped into this place because I was told by many people that the food was good. I ordered three crawfish egg rolls and two boudin balls. I'm not sure if I came at the wrong time but the food tasted stale as if it was under the warmer to long. I even got a package of strawberry plank cookies that was stale also. I think I will give it another try on my way back to Houston because I just can't believe the food would taste that bad after multiple told me to try it. Unfortunately I couldn't tale the food back because we got it to go and were well back on the road to turn around. read more

I can't begin to explain how amazeBalls this place was. We took a small detour after leaving the Tesla Super charging station on Baton Rouge (on the way to lake Charles) to pass by Lafayette and try this place out.... and man are we glad we stopped here. The seasoned cracklings were our fave. Great snack to much on as we were enjoying the rest of the meal. Second favorite was the crawfish pie. It was like a crawfish stew...sooo satisfying to bite into it. Third the fried corn... the fried corn yall....corn on the cob breaded and deep fried. What an phenomenal idea. We also had the crawfish boudin and the pepper jack boudin balls, they had an awesome flavor too. When I drive through Louisiana again, this will be definitely a spot. read more

Everything about Billy's is ridiculous. Ridiculous line inside and out, ridiculous amounts of people all over the place stuffing as much of Billy's (insert Cajun specialty here) into their mouths, ice chests, back seats, RVs as humanly possible, ridiculous out of town license plates...you get the picture. I gotta hand it to Billy though. The pepper jack boudin balls here are worth the traffic, lines and headache to get them. They are hands down amazing. Amazeballs, if you will. :) Do the drive thru if you know what you want. It still took a while to get through but at last you get to sit in the comfort of your own vehicle. read more

Over the years we (our family) has made the supply stop to purchase the Louisiana staples to secure meats and boudin - over the YEARS family and friends have made each dozens of stops. All while we all watching the success of this brand elevate. This once superb establishment has started slacking on all areas. What was was now isn't ! The overwhelming popularity has diminished the quality and professionalism of the curators, workers& staff. Today March 13th to we stopped late in the day after 3:30 to be served by ill mannered young female individual whom did not want to be working, was not very helpful, we had to repeat the order several times and was basically not present in her job! She obviously found rudeness & snide smirk was to be part of her job description. She purposefully got our order wrong, I was charged for one thing and given the wrong thing! I am a true believer that customer service makes or breaks a business! Billy's Bodin wake up, start vetting your workers & re-training them in the customer service experience! my shopping experience today has caused me to give this establishment 2stars! and I will most definitely take my money and spend elsewhere ! My future stops and other family members will be soliciting other establishments and Billy's no longer has our business! rudeness will ruin a business regardless of the product being sold! read more

Quick drive-thru! Not much of a pork fan but I gave this a shot because I am in Louisiana and one ball won't hurt right? I'm on vacation. Me and my girlfriends went through the drive-thru because we were on a time crunch. We were on our way to Destin, Florida and we wanted to get there at a reasonable time. We got 4 crawfish boudin balls and half a pound of cracklins. The crawfish boundin balls were huge and amazing! The moment you bite into the crunchy goodness your mouth melts! Just take a small bite because they are HOT. So be careful. The cracklins did not look appetizing to me. My friends said there were too hot and soggy. They later then tried them when they were warm and still said they were mediocre. Maybe we got a bad batch? Great stop for boudin balls! read more

I'm probably getting closer to heaven eating all these fried boudin balls from here but my god it will be worth it. Anytime we know one is in distance of where we are traveling we stop. The boudin balls are excellent. The only one I compare to them are the ones from Tony's and those are darn good. Love this place. You will wait but it will be the best wait ever. read more

After trying out every boudin and cracklin place in the area, my family and I think that Billy's got the best fried balls & rolls. We tend to go to Don's for the boudin sausage itself, but the boudin balls here are better. The crawfish ball is crawfish and cajun rice rolled into a ball and fried - like a Louisiana arancini. The boudin balls are just boudin rolled into balls and deep fried. They also serve up roll ups, which are basically egg rolls. The pepper jack balls here are absolutely amazing. The cheese melds perfectly with the spices of the boudin. The line looks crazy, with the drive thru line wrapping more than once around the building, and the line inside wrapping around too, but it moves fairly quickly. The service is great, with the boudin ladies often throwing in an extra busted ball or two if you're nice. They also separate your order into separate bags so you don't get everything mixed up! read more

Easy access off hwy 10 even in my motor home. I'm from Washington state so this is all new to me and it didn't disappoint. The fried boudin crawfish ball was fantastic, the smoked boudin sausage, Cracklin with Cajun spice...oh and the chicken fried corn on the Cobb was a big hit as well. I love Billy's sooooo much! I love how it's conveniently located off interstate 10 and doesn't add lost time to my road trips. The pepper jack boudin balls are to die for!!! A must every time I stop. My friend who is from Lafayette brought me to Billy's and it was my first time trying boudin, boudin balls, and crawfish pies!!! The pies were too spicy for my palate, however the boudin and boudin had a little kick to them, however they were bearable enough for me to make another trip the following day! This place is one of the boudin, cracklin specialty meat places in the area...and it is like a remodeled gas station type place. There's not much seating but they do have tons of drinks to choose from! We were in town for the day so we stop by the boudin capital (Scott) to try these Cajun goodies out! I would get the Pepper Jack Boudin ball (The Best!) for sure, the fired corn cob is amazingly great too haha and only $1 and their cracklin is awesome! We also got the crawfish pistoletta but not a fan- too much bread and the stuffing is ok... I didn't give them a five star because of the pistoletta and they ran out of crawfish pies and who knows what else (we see quite a few empty trays in the heater) and we were there at 10am. The boudin is spicy and has lumps of meat in the casing. Every time I get a boudin ball or boudin roll up, it's too dry to eat. I hope when they rebuild, the food is better. read more

This is the place for salted Pork Cracklins if you are traveling on I-10 from TX through Scott LA. The skin portion is nicely crunchy. The remainder has a nice blend of fatty, and meaty! Perfect combo. They are expensive at 23.99 a pound, but they are sure worth it as a treat every few months. read more

We picked some fresh and some frozen boudin to take back to Massachusetts and have with my grits. (if it makes it that far). They have a very small hot menu and they also sell fresh and frozen Cajun meats also. On the way out I bought some Cracklin to snack on. Wow, delicious. It had a nice spice and crunch to it. Cracklins - Not gonna lie... the word "Cracklins scares the bejeezus out of me.... makes me think of other words like "Gizzards'. But I know that it is basically Bacon pork rinds, fried just enough to guarantee a 60% - 70% chance of an on the spot cardiac arrest. Alright, this was pretty good and definitely worth the stop. Everything else is closed this Sunday, but I'm glad we came. There was a line snaking around the store, but we got through it in about 20 minutes. We didn't know what to try, so we went for a little of everything! My experience with cracklin in the past didn't come out so well, with most everything being stale and chewy, but Billy's seems to do it right. Everything was flavorful, not overly greasy, and very tasty. It's all pretty fresh if you come at the right time and will fill you up easily. I didn't care as much for the pistolette, but the crawfish boudin turned out perfect. They have plenty to take home or cook at home, so bring a cooler and an appetite. There is also a drive thru line, which was a little long for me, but might get you through faster than standing in line. read more

When I got here the place was packed must of been 20 cars in the drive thru so I parked by the dumpster all the parking spots were either taken or blocked by the drive thru line. When I walked in OMG the line of people waiting to b waited on was like a line at Disney World to get on a ride. So I was like Damn and went back and got in my car and waited in a very long drive thru line but I had to know if these cracklins were really that darn good. I'd heard a lot about this place and then saw signs along the interstate for miles and miles. Well everybody was right the cracklins are great but not great enough for the Disney World type lines and not any better than other fresh cracklins from other cracklin joints but hey if u don't mind long lines and your craving cracklins go for it they are tasty. read more

Sooooo good! It hit the spot in so many ways! I've never tried boudin egg rolls and they were the best! Crispy and just perfect. I got the regular boudin roll and pepper jack one, both delicious! The pepper jack cheese inside could of been a little more melted throughout the ball but other than that so good. The inside of the smoked one was delicious! Crawfish pie was bomb too! I liked the fried corn but honestly it didn't need to be fried, really didn't have a flavor so you're basically getting the taste of corn with fried bread all over. There was a line but it went fast. Loved hearing the Cajun accents! If you love fried...you will love this place. Purchased a pepper jack boudin ball, regular boudin ball, Crayfish boudin ball, Crayfish pistoletta, regular and spicy cracklings. Each item was put in a little paper bag! So far the pistoletta was awesome but the cracklins were a disappointment. I just can't get past the grease. However I am excited about the meat section where they have packages of fresh uncooked stuffed tenderloin, ribeye, roast, etc. All stuffed with either cornbread dressing or boudin. Already heard from family how great they are when cooked and served. Will try mine when I get back to Texas. read more
