We purchased a gas fireplace to replace a regular fireplace we'd been using for almost 30 years. I found Billy's sales and service to be top-notch. They showed up on time for the installation and went about the installation in an efficient and professional manner. The chimney needed a new cap and they fabricated a temporary on the spot and returned a week later with a permanent cap. Our flame height was not modulating and Billy's replaced a part and now it works perfectly. What I really liked about their service is that they were able to to the replacement without me having to remove the entire hearth. We were excited to have business with them, and get a nice fancy fire screen, but they outsource their service company, and the service company (Stoves LLC) failed to come out to our house. They drove through our court and then claimed they could not find our house and left, even after I saw their van drive-by. We had to takeoff work to make sure someone was home for this appointment. and we had to wait almost a month to get this appointment. When I called them they did not seem to care and said we will have our scheduler call you back, that person never did. They just lost out on a three grand fire screen sale that we were so excited about purchasing. read more

I had the pleasure of working with Kim on finding a fireplace for my home that is being built out of state. Of course, with Covid, everything is in short supply. We needed the fireplace in TN but they were not able to get one for many months. I called this store which is down the street from where I currently live. I asked kim is she had a particular unit that I could purchase. She did, and she very graciously arranged to get it where it needed to be. There was no financial gain for this shop, but she said she just wanted to do the right thing and make a customer happy. I'm surprised this place has any business at all! One of the worst buying experiences ever. We ordered a gas fireplace for our screened porch and we waited for over two months! The first one was destroyed by a fork lift on delivery. The second one was never delivered. The woman who is supposedly the owners wife, was rude, never returned call to me, my wife, or our contractor. She was always flippant when we went to the store, and I've only read bad reviews of the business. And we live in the area! Is she ignorant enough to think word will not get out? read more

They were great to deal for the installation and subsequently when I seemed to have an issue every year with restarting the fireplace in the winter. They are busy and can't answer every call immediately but they have always gotten back to me with good advice. Absolutely one of the worst expenses dealing with this store. They never return calls, do not follow through on part orders, always have an excuse why they can't deliver their services and on top of that the owner's wife is rude and unprofessional. When I drive by I can't believe there are any cars in their lot. My gas stove was out of order for 2 months last winter waiting for them to fix it. We hired these guys to come get our non-working pellet stove working. The tech who came out was friendly and seemed to be knowledgeable, but told us the pellet stove was beyond repair. Fine, get me estimates for removing the old one and converting it back to a regular wood burning fireplace. $300+ to do that, that's okay, it needed done, and that included putting a new cap on the chimney. They came out (after having to corner the owner's wife for the estimate), and put the new cap on, pulled out the non-working pellet stove, and then informed us that no, they can't convert it back to a wood burning fireplace after all... then proceeded to charge us the full price for not converting it. At this point we were into these people for nearly $500 and all we have gotten out of it was a chimney cap and a gaping hole in our wall. They were supposed to get back to us with a few estimate for making it work again and after weeks of hearing nothing, I call them. A couple of weeks later I get a note in the mail saying she mailed out the estimates weeks ago and she doesn't understand why I didn't get them. Turns out the date she said she mailed them out was BEFORE they told me the chimney couldn't be fixed. All this and lies on top of it. AND the estimates she sent to me were not what we asked for. A lying business, but she doesn't care because she told me they were shutting down next year. Don't use them, you will not get what you pay for, and they can't make it more obvious that they don't care one single bit. read more

This is a very busy place without a lot of staff so its sometimes hard to get them on the phone, but we ordered our gas log set and were told it would take 2-3 weeks for delivery and then they would schedule the installation. Their estimate was accurate, they called us to schedule delivery as promised, and 4 weeks from placing our initial order, they arrived on schedule to install our logs. The installer was extremely professional and explained how to operate everything. They are a small family business, so if you have some patience, shop local and support them! Their prices were extremely reasonable, the owner is very nice, and we are very happy with our gas logs. read more
