This was a very Important dinner celebration for me! Celebrating my 65th birthday! Wow, Yukoo :) It's a funny thing because when I made the reservations about a month before I thought we had been here for my husbands birthday a few years before we had moved to Reno. But as we were being escorted to our table, I realized that I hadn't because it was completely new to me... My husband corrected me and said it had been the Atlantis steak house... This was perfect since I'm always on the hunt for new places to try here in town. I've been very happy with the eateries in the casinos thus far. We did bring a bottle of our own champagne since they really mark them up so much. I'm always happy to pay the corkage. Anyway our server Robert was excellent and so fun to tease and banter with. This has always served me so well in the past. I mean who knows best? Them! Three of us got red meat, 2 filets and one porterhouse. My husband had the snapper. I ate here with my fiancé while staying at Peppermill. We tried the aged steak and we both got sick. I had to get up in the middle of dinner and actually go to the restroom to throw up after eating it. My fiancé was able to make it up to the room luckily before vomiting, but it really ruined our anniversary night unfortunately. We spent probably 1k just at dinner and were greatly disappointed. For what it is, an upscale steakhouse in a casino, the only thing that could be better is if the prices weren't so astronomical. But this is to be expected in Casino Resort dining these days. If you're a local, the 20% local's discount puts this place in the running for a special occasion dining experience. Still, a bit better value can be had in a few of the area's top steakhouses if you venture outside this casino but they won't beat this place on quality alone. The ambiance and decor is unique and impressive. Maybe a little over the top but hey, it's a high-end casino resort. Service was excellent. We had the Filet and the NY and both were properly cooked and not overseasoned. Still personally I think in general, considering what you pay, beef is kind of overrated. But I'm not going to eat fish in a steakhouse but I here everything here is excellent including the Sea Bass and Scallops if you're not into beef. The Truffle Mac n Cheese was excellent. It's rare that I walk out of one of these hoity-toity steak joints not feeling a bit ripped off. Very satisfying dining experience. read more

So me and the wife are looking for a place to eat for her birthday. So we picked the steakhouse but ended up getting a seafood.....lol. We got an appetizer stuffed mushrooms with Dungeness crab, which was excellent. My wife had bariatric surgery and can't eat pasta so we saw one dish had cauliflower risotto. So we asked Bill our waiter if we could substitute the cauliflower risotto with the special other day, which was halibut, scallops, and jumbo shrimp. they were more than accommodating and the special was excellent. My wife and I were staying at the Peppermill and decided to try their highly rated steakhouse. We both had the USDA Prime Filet Mignon with the Lobster Mashed Potatoes and the Creamed Spinach. The Prime Rib was excellently cooked with great taste and perfectly sautéed and seasoned. For the price, definitely worth it. I was able to eat every bite of it, with nothing left over, which is worth mentioning as some places have that one or two bites that are not pleasant. I am also pleased to report the 12 ounces actually appeared to be 12 ounces as it was a great portion which filled me up, something that is not easy to do. The lobster mashed potatoes were tasty, and the portions were generous. If you want to save money, one side is plenty for two people. My wife and I were extra hungry so we each had our own and the side was good enough for me to finish it all. My only complaint was that parts of the dish were a little on the cold side. That being said, the taste was still good enough for me to look past it. This may be more personal preference, but the creamed spinach was not pleasant. Too watery, the cream did not feel rich and savory and did not compliment the spinach as it felt like eating just wet spinach. Not my favorite and I did not finish it, my advise would be to to try another "green" offering such as their asparagus or brussel sprouts. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu which was a welcome sight. One of the waitresses even gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary celebration, completely on her own. Very nice! We had the flourless chocolate cake and it was very rich and delicious. Highly recommend. Overall, we were pleased with our visit. The visit is pricey, plan on spending at least $150 for two people, but with the 20% locals discount if you have a players card, it cancels out the tip and makes the price reasonable for the experience Bimini's offers. read more

Great service; as a guest of the hotel we were able to just walk-in at 6:45p--I tried to book a reservation two days before I booked the hotel. No dice. Probably not published but they must save tables for guests (let's hope, or assume). The king crab legs were amazing. Probably could of had a half order, or "add to your meal" option instead, amazing nonetheless. Steak was cooked perfectly. Bread was also tasty, specially the sour dough. Everyone that visited our table was professional and had a great attitude--kept it light and seemed to enjoy their job. Drink cart was fun! Great presentation & humor. We had an excellent dining experience for dinner. The restaurant was following all rules for restaurant capacity and employee and diners safety. The three of us shared the little gem and lolla rosa salad and sides: forest mushrooms, crispy Brussels sprouts, and steamed asparagus. For my main, I ordered the 14oz boneless New York strip loin. The bread served to the table was a mixture french bread, rye, and focaccia. It was served with truffle butter. Though I don't usually used butter. This time I did, and it was delicious. The gem salad was good starter as the vinaigrette went well with the ricotta cheese and candied kumquats. After the salad, they brought is a palette cleanser of raspberry sorbet with sparkling wine. This was a nice touch. My steak was cooked perfectly rare. I was very surprised by the attention to this, as most steak restaurants over cook rare. The chimiuri sauce served with my steak was a good choice, as it had a bit of heat. But the best sauce used was from the steamed asparagus. The truffle hollandaise sauce had black shaved truffles in it. The hollandaise was divine and I used all of it. Of the sides, the Brussel sprouts and mushrooms were outstanding. The Brussel sprouts were crispy and served with smoked bacon. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly, as it still had texture and was not soggy. Service throughout the night was excellent. Our server was also excellent. He was very attentive to our tables needs, checking in with us often. The entire staff made our dining experience enjoyable and welcoming after a long day skiing. My wife and I tried this place on a recommendation from a friend. First off we had great service very nice ambience and the food was delicious. I tried the seafood lasagna based on the recommendations of our waiter and it was by far the best seafood pasta dish I ever ate. For months I've been waiting the chance to dine at the prestigious Bimini steakhouse at the Peppermill casino. One of the top steakhouses in the area. Unfortunately, it wasn't up to par. I've had two opportunities to experience the food here in the last month and both at-bats have resulted in strikeouts. Before I get started I will say this. The device was EXCELLENT. My first experience was a business dinner. I ordered a dirty martini made with half Kettle One vodka and half Bombay Sapphire gin with bleu cheese stuffed olives. The drink tasted watered down like sat in the shaker for 10 minutes before being served up. Appetizers were coconut prawns which were the best part of the entire meal experience. Not too sweet or over breaded, they were tasty and hot. Was so excited to get the next dish....The "escargot" were not snails but some small, cheap, previously frozen langoustines drenched in some lukewarm fake garlic butter sauce that was tasteless. Huge disappointment. Entrees: I ordered the $79 dry aged, bone in ribeye. Medium rare. So, to start, I will say it was properly cooked. But the bottom drops out after that. Most dry aged steaks just burst with flavor. This steak was the most tasteless ribeye that I have ever cut into. I've had better steaks at Win-Co. Sides: au gratin potatoes, brushes sprouts were both pretty good except the portions were quite small. The second visit we sat at the bar. Drinks were prompt and well made. I just had a bourbon in the rocks but my dining mate had a well poured old fashioned. Apps: The crab stuffed mushrooms came out hot and were quite tasty. I'd order them again. The bread basket was fresh, tasty and plentiful. Entrees: I ordered the king crab topped sea bass. It was tasty but it was okayed in a cold plate with cold sauce that cooled down the fish way too much. Unfortunately the temperature issues detracted from the tasty fish. For the price I thought to portion of fish was about 70-75% of what it should have been. My guest ordered the short ribs. I was not able to rate them but he was quite pleased. Overall, I've given this place two times and had two strikeouts. I most likely won't be back unless invited for a business dinner again. I can tell you that I am in no hurry to come back and would NEVER go here and spend my own money. NO SIR! read more

Amazing restaurant! From the customer service to the food. The hosts were welcoming from the moment we walked in, and our server Jeff was amazing! He suggested the Caymus Conundrum red and it paired well with our dinner. We started with the crab stuffed mushroom which was a great starter! I ended up doing the sea bass for dinner and my boyfriend did the prime rib. I was fortunate enough to get one bite of the prime rib (lol) and it was DELICIOUS! He loved it and said it was the best prime rib he's ever had.The miso sea bass perfectly cooked and was very good, but I think it could benefit with a hint of soy sauce and ginger. Jeff offered dessert and to my surprise they have my favorite dessert, chocolate mousse. It was delicious and rich and flavor. I cannot wait to come back here. My husband and I LOVE making the steakhouse our "fancy date night" when we visit the Peppermill. We have not been in a few years and made last minute plans to spend the Thanksgiving holiday at our home away from home. We went in for dinner on Saturday night and everyone was amazing! We had a couple drinks at the bar before our table was ready and they did not disappoint, delicious. Highly recommend the pineapple margarita and classic martini. What an excellent dining experience! The Caesar salad was crafted at table side which was such a treat. Each entree was incredible. I got the medium rare prime rib - they were even able to accommodate with some caramelized onions to top. We started off with an order of the Oysters Rockefeller and an order of the Tempura Coconut Prawns. Although I'm a HUGE fan of oysters, my fiancé was not and after trying one oyster, he decided it's a no go for him and I was left to eat all of them by myself. I couldn't finish and wasted 1 lonely oyster. Sad face. The Tempura Coconut Prawns were good, but nothing to write about really. Onto the entrée! My fiancé ordered the Dry Aged Bone-In Ribeye and I had the Chef's special of the evening (I can't remember what it was but it was a delicious fish dish that I devoured in no time - I'll attach pictures on my review). We made reservations on a Sunday night right at opening while my dad was in town. We arrived a few minutes prior to our reservation and we're instructed to wait with several other parties while they finished opening up. We were seated right at our reservation time and introduced to our team of servers. I did appreciate that there were several people waiting on us for faster and more efficient service. Everyone was so nice and helpful with letting us know the specials and making menu suggestions. We chose to keep it simple and only order entrees, no apps or salads. But we were still given the whole experience with an elaborate and absolutely delicious bread service and a palate cleanser before our meal. I chose the venison special, which was good, but the meat was a bit undercooked. The point Reyes blue cheese sauce was soooo salty and decadent in the best way. We also opted for some dessert. Which was good, but nothing to really write home about. Overall, I feel like the service here is stellar but the food was lacking a bit, just a little touch up here and there to some flavors and I think this could be tied for the top steakhouse in northern Nevada. read more

The only thing that's stopping me from giving this place five stars is their rude hostess. My husband and I came here maybe 30 minutes before closing. Upon being sat, the hostess told us that they would be closing soon (which was fine with us), but her demeanor kind of made us feel rushed. We informed our server that we were expecting two more guests. She was totally fine with that. She didn't mention they were almost closing or anything. About 10 minutes later, my mom and Aunt came. When they approached the hostess stand, the hostess told them that she cannot seat them because the restaurant is closed. They pointed to our table, and told the hostess that we were expecting them. She said in a very rude tone, "Well, you can join them. But you won't be able to order." When they came and sat with us, coincidentally, the server came with our drinks, and then asked my mom and aunt if they wanted to order anything. We told her what was said by the hostess, and she looked very shocked. She brought over the manager. The manager was shocked as well and very apologetic. He told my mom and aunt that they are more than welcome to order. The service was great, and the way the manager handled the situation was very professional. The food is excellent! The drinks were made to perfection. I love the ambience. You can come there for a romantic dinner, or with a group of friends. You won't be disappointed. read more

I think it's the best Steakhouse in Reno (nod to Bricks and Western Village... and Atlantis, which is a little over rated imo). This has my favorite atmosphere of them all and service is excellent. Heartbreaking that I am still on the hunt for the best steakhouse. So far nothing has compared to Harrah's old steakhouse that we used to frequent. First, hands off to Cami. Can say she is one of the best waitresses we've ever encountered. Not only was Cami very friendly, but she was super attentive to our group. She made our Caesar salad and our bananas flambee tableside which is always a nice little treat. That takes me into the food. The steaks were ok-good, but they were not to die for. I will have to say portions for the price was fitting. My friend and I shared a 12 oz filet and it seemed like much more. Although the steak was cooked as we requested (med/rare) it was a little on the chewy/dry side; I was expecting a much more tender delivery. The sides we ordered were mushrooms and root vegetables. Both pretty small and enough to feed 1-2. Tasty but just not enough for $15 each. The Caesar and bananas flambee (not pictured) were both really good. I would come back just bc the restaurant is a nice atmosphere (Peppermill is really nice hotel/casino), and the service was beyond great. The food was alright, but maybe the second visit will be better. Corkage was $30 I think? A bit high for Reno, but cheaper than buying a bottle. read more

From the reservation app telling us our table was ready..10 min early to the time the hostess said bye and everything in-between was the best experience ever. The hostess when we arrived was so friendly and welcoming and sat us promptly. Our waiter Alex was super friendly and helpful with our menu options. I made reservations at this restaurant a few weeks ago because it had such high reviews and we wanted to celebrate. When we checked in the hostess asked if we were celebrating anything. We told her what it was and then it was never brought up again. The food was incredibly disappointing. The French Onion soup was delicious and that's where it stopped. Complimentary bread: You're given an assortment me breads and the butter has black salt shavings all over it. It was way too salty for me. Pepsi: $5 - what a joke I didn't order a cocktail or wine because their prices were sky high. It was funny seeing basic Paso wines with a Napa sticker price on them. Starters: French onion soup $13 - this was delicious Oyster Rockefeller $23 - bland and fishy. My fiancé had to spit one of them out in his napkin because it was full of shell and he couldn't swallow it. These were by far the worst I've ever had. Entree: Wagyu filet: $70 Wagyu NY: $82 They were both good, but you'd never know they were wagyu. They both came with a little bowl of lentils. This was awful! Sides: Creamed spinach $11 - horrible!! This dish was so watery. The flavor wasn't even appealing. Lobster mashed potatoes $15 - fishy tasting! Both of our side dishes were hardly touched. You'd think that would have been a sign that something was wrong. They also give you a palate cleanser before your entree. This was a nice touch. It happened to be blueberry.
