It's about 2pm, and we (We being my Girlfriend, a friend of hers and myself) were hanging around Freemont when we got hungry as none of us had breakfast. Our Vegas weekend was on it's final leg which means most of our $$$ was practically gone and the prices here seemed to fit our budget just right. Being as we were all hungry for breakfast the Hangover Burger looked very appetizing and I almost ordered the Gambler's Breakfast but there is something about Club Sandwich that made me order otherwise. The cafe seemed a bit small but the Service was good and made up for it. Our waitress was really friendly and the prices for the food were very reasonable (even if you are not a Club member). Suprisingly great for what it is -- a coffee shop / 24 hour cafe on Fremont. Hangover burger is great -- it might be a heart attack on the plate, but its quite good. I also like their buns -- they're not just standard burger buns, but something much tastier. The Belgian waffle was surprisingly good, although not really a belgian waffle -- more like a traditional american waffle. The american cheese and ham omelette was nothing to write home about -- edible but not interesting or exceptional. It wasn't terrible by any stretch of the imagination, but its definitley not memorable. The hobo stew and cornbread is great! Pecan pie is the most tasteless pie we've had - no good. The customer service is funny because the person that takes your food order refuses to handle your drink orders and you have to wait for someone else to come by. read more

After walking for hours it was time for coffee we happened to be in Binion's Casino on Fremont Street,a bit of a Time warp when you observe the decor, and the people...stopped into their cafe' and ordered coffee only it was served fresh, Hot, and delicious followed up by another cup as soon as you put down an empty mug which was probably held by a dusty ole Cowboy at onetime. I eat at the cafe last night and had a hamburger and fries. After leaving we walked over to Golden Nugget. I had to run to the restroom because I became very ill. Threw up several times. Funny thing, as we were getting ready to leave, a group sat next to us and one was claiming the best burger in the world. What world? I had the double burger with cheese. Mealy, mealy, mealy! Used to eat here quite often but not anymore. The service was very bad. It took along time before we got our server to get to our table. We had to ask the water person who our server was. He was a lot of help. And the food tasted horrible, but again trying to get the server back to our table was a chore. We spent more time in the restaurant than any other restaurant. This was very reasonable price wise. We got two Philly Cheese Steaks that were loaded with cheese. This was one of the more low end things I have eaten. While it had good flavors it looked like they skimped out by getting lower quality meat and defiantly could have loaded it up with more veggies and onions. Welcome surprise we just wanted alittle something before bed after along day. This is nothing fancy but the food was great and hot the. Staff very friendly. The best thing we tried was they have a chicken breast that is like a side dish and it was so darn dood our table ordered another one since we were all sharing appetizers oh my it has such a great flavor and so tender I do believe it was some of the best chicken I have ever eaten you gotta go try it. The next morning I got up early and went right back and for breakfast what did I get another darn chicken breast with hash browns and coffee the hash browns were not that great but the coffe was good and the chicken was just as good as the night before and the price was good read more

I do have to say I love going downtown. One of the best places to experience old school is binions cafe. Super simple menu, I happened to order the spicy garlic infused wings. I was a little anxious to see how they tasted, and ti my surprise they were amazing. I was worried the garlic would be s little over powering, but they were just right. Our waiter James knew the small menu very well, and accommodated all of my families special requests. Quick and to the point service, everyone was friendly and wore a smile. Will return! read more

We had quick service with pretty good, basic club and cheeseburger, but there were several people that left from waiting forever for their food or never being talked to. GREAT BUGER and paid extra for the French Fries as I don't care for potato salad that much. Was well worth the extra...the French fries were equally as good....crunchy on outside like a coating, but wasn't a thick coating. Sat at the bar and waiter behind counter was very friendly, told me the story of he had worked there for 34years, one day they had accidentally ordered the wrong fries, everyone liked them so they kept ordering them. The hamburger was delicious, so fresh and the bread freshest ever. He also told me a local bakery delivers the buns daily and they are still warm when they get them. They were really putting out the food, saw a lot of ribs going out, will have to check them out next time....and will definitely come back for another burger. Next day before we left town I brought my friend with me and we split a burger and chicken strips which were also very good! Prices are also low and wait staff both times were very friendly.
