Bionicos: Mexican androids? WRONG Bionicos are amazing super foods, particularly Mexican fruit salad! I came by this place because they have a juice bar logo on the window. Although it turned out to be more of a smoothie bar, I didn't actually inquire if they do juicing. I was immediately distracted by all the fruit salad choices. I recommend the classic bionico and the pico de gallo salad. The small size is HUGE, and goes up to GIGANTOR being the large size. When I need a fast juice I come here. I love the Vampiro. People say this place is expensive. I don't think it is. Produce and fruit are expensive people! How do you expect a place to stay in buisness? Tamarindo apples are great. Ahhhh Bionicos, my new love. Tried this place after a long day of moving and it was the perfect treat. I ordered the small Hawaiian and it was huge and delicious. The regular Bionicos comes with the "cream sauce" which is basically sweetened condensed milk, but if you get the Hawaiian, they top it with cottage cheese, granola and honey instead. They also have shaved iced, smoothies, juices, ice cream, milkshakes and a few other interesting Mexican treats. I would definitely return here. Note: I came at like 8pm on a Friday and it was pretty dang busy so expect a little bit of a wait if you come on a hot summer evening. read more

The strawberry raspado definitely tasted like fresh strawberries, but I had a really hard time breaking down the ice to mix with the puree mix. Took forever to eat. The strawberries and cream were very good but price point seemed a little high. The service isn't all too friendly. Just seems like they want to get your order and collect your cash. The small shop is clean and friendly. $5.00 for an extra large, freshly made "Vampiro" is the best health drink value in town. The red drink consists of fresh oranges, carrots, beets, and celery. I found this one day getting gas at Chevron across the street. Hmmm? Fresh squeezed juice? Okay! I have been juicing for years. Saw this juice tsunami coming. It makes you feel amazing! How could it not catch on?? Well maybe the price. I'm sorry but paying $10 for a juice just seems crazy. I don't mind paying extra for health but it's out of control at times. $5 Bionicos....wasn't sure what to expect. But OH YUM. I don't care that it's loaded with sweetened condensed milk. I actually rationalized in my head that it was MUCH HEALTHIER than a $7 cone from haagen daz or baskin robbins. $3 Vampire juice. All juice-no ice. Which is nice, but ew. I had to go home and drink it with ice---so much better this way. I would buy again and maybe ask for ice. Woman who collects the money behind the counter speaks "Span-ese" and is difficult to understand. Give your order to anyone else behind the counter and you'll be in good hands. I love the "Tropical Bionico" served with Strawberries/Banana/Papaya/Pineapple (no apples for me). I top with granola, raisins and coconut shavings. It's basically all carry out since the indoor eating area has only 3 or 4 chairs. No outdoor eating provided. If ordering a Bionic I recommend you ask for the cream on the side otherwise the fruit gets soggy really quick. Hits the spot on warm nights. Place gets busy and line is usually out the door between the hours of 7 - 9 pm on really warm nights. read more

Good tamarindo apples but the prices are a bit high. $4 for a large apple. Be prepared to wait about 10 minutes thus place can get crowded. Especially on a hot day. read more

And when it was given to me had cottage cheese i asked and she just said i told you what it came with .. and she never said honey or cottage cheese . This place is the best there is in Long Beach. I have been to a handful of Bionicos and none of them have topped this one because they don't know how to prepare it well. This place gives you a generous amount of fruit and yogurt in a tall bowl container that holds the fruits properly, not in some plastic small container with less fruit and not enough yogurt. They aren't stingy with the yogurt, and that's the best part. I'm from L.A and whenever I'm in Long Beach, I have to make a stop at this Bionico place. It's worth every penny and you can tell by the amount of people going in and out of this place all the time! read more

DELICIOUS!! Granted, I've only tried the bionico, this is as good as it gets! I've been buying the large tray for work breakfast parties and its been a major hit. Make it Gluten free by getting the granola on the side. I can't tell you how much I loved this place. It was soooo good! I got a strawberry banana smoothie (amazing) and a small strawberry and cream bowl. It had so much in it! Product is fine, customer service directly from the owner is horrendous. Why anyone would want to drink hot juice is beyond me. Then in order to get the ice and product combined in one cup, I would need to purchase the entire price for the container is beyond me.
