Your place your order via kiosk which is card only. Then another screen let's you know how long until you're order is up! There are employees also that are super friendly and helpful. Now let's get to the food, the sandwhich was delicious I got a combo with fries and the Arnold Palmer so good make sure you ask for there special sauce! I have been hearing such good things about this place and definitely happy that I came. First of all I like how the set up is, right when you walk in you can order and pay in the computer. The variety that they give you is great. Sometimes I am afraid to try chicken sandwiches because the chicken can be to dry but the chicken here was not. I got the rancher which was delicious! The bacon jam that they put in really made the sandwich amazing! I also want to give a shout out to the variety of healthy drinks that they have. I love the different teas that they have. Had no idea what to do for food one weekend so we decided to finally try this place after passing it a few times a week. I ordered the Southern chicken sandwich and my husband ordered the Rancher with tater tots on the side. I was pleasantly surprised that they didn't skimp on the pimiento cheese spread. The slaw is a bit lackluster, though. I ended up pulling some off because it was just too soggy for my liking. The Rancher looked great (he said it was) and I managed to steal a tater tot. They were seasoned and I was immediately saddened that I hadn't ordered my own tots. Husband likes the pickup system inside the restaurant. He said drive-thru gets really backed up due to the parking lot, so he opted to do a pick-up order and just run in the restaurant. We haven't tried curbside so I can't speak to it. All in all I was really pleased with the quality of the chicken. I did add some Kewpie mayo to mine once I was home (adds a nice balance to the pimiento cheese), but you can make additions/subtractions on their website. We will definitely be back! read more

Two stops in at this place to check it out, mainly going with the chicken strips, and was left with it just being OK overall. The chicken is quality, but the breading is just blah to me, which might be for them to play around with the other flavors on the sandwiches where there is more going on, but I got the impression that the chicken was supposed to be the focal point of wow, and didn't get that in actuality. First time, I went with the Nashville hot and it was power-packed, almost overpowering. 2nd time I opted to try the Birdcall sauce. I should have asked more about the sauce instead of assuming it would be like other chicken places that go with a more southern style sauce. It looks like that in color, but The Birdcall sauce is more of a Thousand Island/hamburger like sauce, and I didn't think it was a great compliment to the fried chicken. This spot is like a high tech + gourmet Chick-Fil-A with a drive thru and everything. They are the expediting champions. Food was so good! This place has very many chicken sandwich options. A chicken breast was very meaty and juicy and a spice on the Nashville hot was adequate and so hot as to be too spicy. I wanted to try Nashville Hot Chicken while I was in Nashville at my parents place before I had the Nashville hot here. This was our first time at Birdcall. We loved how everything was decorated and how you can order on the tablet, very modern and efficient. We ordered the Teriyaki sandwich with cold slaw, Nashville hot with tater tots, banana cream pie milkshake and a peanut butter chocolate chip cookie dough milkshake. The milkshakes were delicious! I also really enjoyed the avocado lime sauce. Everything else was just okay. We had a couple of minor issues with our order and had to go up to the front a couple of times. Not a big deal, the staff was very kind and accommodating. There was a women sitting behind me. She was a table away so only about five feet. I believe she was the owner. Staff member were going up to her and telling her some issue with something in the kitchen. She also greeted us when we got there and left. I overheard her talking about us. The music was loud so I couldn't hear everything but I heard enough to know she was talking about us. I find it pretty unprofessional to talk about a customer while we're still at the restaurant eating..especially since we were sitting only a table away. It honestly made us pretty uncomfortable. Went here with my daughter and grandkids. You order from a computer screen. It is a nice little place with very good chicken sandwiches. They have a very nice selection of sodas that are not the run of the mill (many contained tumerac). It is close to the University, so you may have some boisterous kids in place as was the case when we were there with colorful language around kids. I've had some poor experiences with this location in the past, with some pretty poor tasting/quality sandwiches that do not live up to the hype. Now, about 6 months later, it seems like Birdcall has really got it together! Food has been stellar in three visits over the course of the last 4 weeks. Sandwiches were delicious, tots cooked to perfection and customer service was impeccable. For example, during my most recent visit, which occurred at close to midnight, right before the location closed, I called in an order. When I had arrived, I realized I[d left my wallet with all physical cards at home. Manager CJ was extremely kind and helpful getting me my food, even though their ApplePay system was not available for phone orders and I didn't have the ability to pay at the time. He gave me my meal for free, adding in some extra fries from an order that hadn't been picked up. The rest of the staff and team all seemed eager and happy to prepare my food, even though it was right before closing at such a late hour. The next day, I went back with an extra large tip to show my support for the incredible team and staff that helped me out, and they wouldn't even accept it. They told me to keep the money and to repay the store by coming back and bringing my friends. This level of customer service is truly unapparelled in the DU area for fastfood, and I am extremely grateful for CJ and his team. I will definitely be returning soon and the way Birdcall treats customers has made me a lifelong fan. Highly highly recommend, especially if you've had a poor experience here before. The customer service was excellent in explaining the vegan options which really helped me to decide. I got the Kale and Quinoa salad which was so fresh and delicious.
