    Corned beef hash
    Kenneth K.

Brunch here was satisfying! I had the old school breakfast plate & wife had corned beef hash. Our waiter did a good job taking care of 29? of us at a relatively same time. That was unreal right? Bc of the amount of people that additional tip was automatically added but not sure the exact amount. My wife was too busy to check it. Plus we had our own tabs so no confusion or complaints about that! That's rare to do that & can be tedious but they were truly accommodating! Hats off to them! It was Xmas season 2025. The restaurant & large bar was nicely decorated with a Christmas tree for a lovely Christmas card photo-op!!! The restaurant ambiance was very casual & chill. They brought iced water pitchers automatically too to those who ordered water. It's a good thing bc my wife's entree had a spicy kick to it so she appreciated the ice water. Would we return? Maybe bc those chicken & waffles & steak salad looked fabulous! So it's a must to come for brunch although burgers & GARLIC fries are an obvious choice too!!! Choices, choices, too many to decide right??? lol

Another 5 star experience at Brodericks. Excellent food, customer service and price. Something for everyone: salads, burgers, tacos, lamb/pork/duck sandwiches, and more. All kinds if fries with toppings; my fav are the garlic fries. Full bar but the microbrews seem to be most popular but also soft drinks. Fun rustic dive bar with a flare ambiance. Fun place. Also outdoor seating. Plus a dining room area away from bar. Great service. Kudos

Alex T's Cozy Comfy Christmas PJ-Party Brunch [West Sacramento CA] I've only been here one other time when we held a Yelp Halloween Party w/ our former CM, the amazing and missed, Alex L. That was in 2014! Eleven years later we returned for a Holiday Pajama Brunch Party last month with yet another "Alex", the amazing and bougie, Alex T! I rarely come to this neck of the woods so it was nice to return. We occupied one section of the restaurant. The staff of 2 gentlemen handled our big party of 30+ not only amazingly but they were also able to process separate checks for individual parties! I ordered a Breakfast Burrito... which was served quickly considering our large group. The ambiance, customer service and food were perfect for the occasion. Review #3974

My hubby, toddler and I attended our friend Alex T's annual Christmas party at this amazing location! This year's UYE theme was Christmas Pjs with brunch and a hilarious gift exchange game! The staff did amazing hosting our large group, nice festive decor and sweet staff! Book your holiday parties here!! My hubby and I both ordered the Strawberry Lemonade and Chicken & Waffles. You cannot go wrong with strawberry lemonade and their brunch was amazing!! We'll definitely be back again soon! SYOY! :D Music: Christmas time is here Musician: Rook1e

Came in on 12/14/25 with my beautiful wife and adorable little daughter for a Christmas Party Brunch my friend Alex T was hosting. The ambiance was nice and cozy with two giant TVs playing Sunday football games. We ordered Chicken and Waffles and strawberry lemonade for each of us. My little one was still sound asleep in her car seat. The chicken and waffles were amazing! Chicken was so tender and juicy, without even knowing it, I ate the whole plate in manner of minutes. It was that good! The waffles were nice and fluffy, perfectly cut and easier to eat. Thank you Broderick Roadhouse. Your food was amazing and we will return again.

Most recent visit, I attended a 2025 holiday party here. It was a cozy pj themed brunch, so we were the first ones to arrive, and the staff had reserved most of the dining room tables for us. The team of 2 staff handled our group of 20 smoothly, while also tending to other customers who trickled in. Known for their burgers, I opted for the "old timer" with onion rings and hubby got the old fashion with fries. Food came out in a timely manner. Food looked great and tasted ok. I think the patty was a little bland though. 3 stars for food, and 5 stars for the service. We had a great time there and would consider going back if we were in the area.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Went there with coworkers for lunch, their usual, my first time, and I must say it was awesome. They are going through some repairs from an accident, but no matter this place was cute and quaint. Food was fabulous. I had the sliders and loved them! The lady who helped us was she not only manned the bar but also all the service for front of house. She did it with speed, accuracy, and a perfect smile! We will of course be returning, happy lunch spot!

Did you know they serve duck burger here? As well they have a lamb burger too. So for the duck Burger I do like how the ground their own duck meat and they make it into a patty and it's really great mild flavor. I do like how they use big Jam in it to give it a little bit of sweetness. I also love the big oversized cheese skirt they use which is cheddar cheese and it gives it the perfect saltiness to it with the sweetness combination from the Fig Jam. . THey do serve up some amazing fries like Philly cheese steak with baby portobello mushrooms and cheese with bell pepper and onions. They also have some Bahn mi fries which has really nice pulled pork and pickle radish and carrots which compliments the pulled pork and mix the fries more flavorful. The portions for the fries is really big and can feed easily to the three people and it could be shared. . They were really nice and time efficient with a large group for Xmas party here. They served drinks and food on a timely manner and didn't forget any items. We were all happy and enjoyed our xmas party here. Thanks for reading and have a yelptastic day.

If I ever need a burger and I am in west sac, this is exactly where I'm coming. My buddy and I came in a couple days ago for the Johnny Cash burger, medium rare and a side a ranch. The service was awesome because there were only a few people there. I loved that given it meant our burgers would be out immediately. Upon receiving my burger I immediately noticed the mass amount of fries which was awesome. The burger was cooked perfect, the peppers inside gave a better texture to each bite and paired with the ranch was 10/10. The fries were delicious and had a nice soft crunch to them. I would most definitely recommend this burger to anyone at this location. I would say my only concern was that each ranch cup was $1 & it was tiny, that gave us a good laugh. All in all, I would most definitely eat here again.

Was in the area and came to Yelp to find somewhere to eat and Broderick popped up with good reviews so we wanted to give it a try. The place is a little hidden and looks like a house until you see the sign and beautiful artwork. Once you enter, there is a small eating area and a bar. Our server was super sweet and she offered recommendations for drinks and food. We had the fried pickles, fried chicken sandwich and the banh mi sandwich. The fried pickles were freaking amazing and their homemade ranch was delicious! Both of our entrees were well made and flavorful. I don't get to that area often but would definitely eat there again.

    Kentucky chicken sandwich
    Brian K.

Broderick's Roadhouse is a West Sacramento classic. It's been grilling burgers, slinging hash, and pouring cold beer for over ten years. It's has an old neighborhood bar feel and the staff is always friendly. I've been a fan of it's Johnny Cash burger and Buffalo fries for years. I decided to try the Kentucky chicken sandwich for the first time during my last visit. I'm glad I did! The sandwich is a little expensive, but it's piled high with buttermilk-fried chicken, pickles, sauce, and tossed in Kentucky bourbon oil. It was so large, I had a hard getting my mouth around it. It came with a generous side of fries that were hot and crisp. It was a great meal and I didn't walk away hungry. I never do after a visit to this restaurant.

    Old School Burger with bacon
    Rod N.

I had to run an errand in West Sacramento and decided to find a place to have a quick lunch. Saw that Broderick's was nearby and based on the "yelp' reviews, we stopped by. I like the look. Kind of "divey" in a good way. We sat inside and it feels like a bar, which I like. I did a little reading and Broderick's appears to be a favorite of the locals. I ordered the Old-School Burger with bacon and my Wife ordered the Mushroom Swiss and Onion Sliders. We were both very happy with our selections. The only thing I would say is the hamburger patties could have used a little more seasoning. I got my fries "naked", and they were good. I just added a little salt. I'm just going with a 4-Star here because I plan on going back and trying other things. The Johnny Cash Burger is very popular and there's a Duck Burger I'd like to try as well. In fact, there are many items that look and sound delicious. There are also a variety of ways to order the fries. It is a bar, but we only had iced teas, so I would also like to try some of their drinks as well. Overall, a very good place to visit and very close to Old Town Sac and Raley's Field if you are in the area. We look forward to returning.

During dinner, the Operations Manager, Michael, stopped by our table to introduce himself and let us know he was available if we needed anything. He checked in with us multiple times throughout the evening, which was appreciated. However, the experience ended on a disappointing note. As we were leaving, we asked about having our parking validated and were told that nothing could be done because they had no validation tickets available. While the food and service were excellent, after spending approximately $2,500 on dinner, we expected that an Operations Manager would have the authority or flexibility to offer some alternative solution. And the way he spoke to his staff was not very nice. Unfortunately, that final interaction overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable evening and left our group feeling that this would likely be a one-time visit.

We did order the bread pudding Togo to eat later since we were so full but didn't care much for it which is a bummer. It was a little dry to me and lacked flavor. We decided for our last night all together we would pick a highly rated one for a special meal. Magpie Cafe right in downtown fit the bill and we were thoroughly impressed by everything. We ordered just about every special plus many other dishes, some multiple, from appetizers through to desserts. It's in a beautiful area of the city, open to the street and green park. We opted to sit outside as it was a lovely evening. The beer menu had some regional favorites, all small and well chosen. For food we went all out, and I'll let the photos speak for themselves. Everything was so colorful and presented beautifully. Highlights were the pickles, fried asparagus, anchovies, and croquettes. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable about our dishes, she added to the experience. If you're in the area, this restaurant is worth a stop. They even have a cafe in the airport!

The drink contained gin, strawberry syrup, and fresh lemon basil. It was light and refreshing and the perfect spring summer drink. Then we had the baby eggplant which was marinated in a soy glaze. It also had some sort of peanut sauce base. This was a delightful bite. Both of us were very impressed. The presentation was gorgeous. Clearly still on my eggplant craze. One of the reasons we went to Magpie was for the trout dip. In a shocking turn of events, they didn't have it. I think it was an old menu. Maybe their winter menu. This was a bummer. Instead, they had a salmon dip. We got that, and I wish it was more flavorful/smokey. Normally, I'm not a smokey seasoning person, but I think it goes nicely with fish. The chips though were really good. I love a kettle chip. I thought they would be thicker, since the dip was thicker. I'm glad they served the dip with the spoon. We also had the stone fruit salad. I was shocked it didn't come with a cheese, but after I tasted it, the creamy yogurt successfully filled that void. Once again, the plating was gorgeous. I think the peaches were good, but I can tell that later in the summer, these peaches will be even more delectable. I think the pistachios were an excellent choice to this salad. For my main course, I had the painted hills flat iron steak with a Chimichurri sauce and crispy smashed potatoes. The steak was well cooked, and with the seasoning of the chimichurri, it was a delightful bite. Sam had the gnocchi with pesto and fresh tomatoes. The gnocchi was fluffy. Both she and I thought that the pesto was good, but we both wish that we wish there was more of it. I love pesto though, so I am always going to think that. It came in dollops, rather than mixed in, so I think that was part of the problem. We also had to get dessert. I had the ice cream sandwiches. They were made with lemon thyme shortbread cookies with vanilla Guenther's Ice Cream. I wish it was a stronger vanilla taste or a flavored ice cream. The cookies were too good though. Sam had the lavender panna cotta. Normally I am not a huge panna cotta fan, but this one was delicious. It had such a strong lavender taste, in a good way. It kind of tasted like I was eating lotion because of the thickness of the panna cotta with the lavender flavor.

Still refreshing and tasty, but I think it was a bit overkill on sugar. For our mains, we tried the rigatoni bolognese, trio of fries, and chicken tenders. All food and drinks for under $50! The portions were massive, especially the trio of fries, which I was not expecting. The sweet potato fries were a bit soggy compared to the other 2, which were significantly crispier. The chicken tenders were ok and probably the least exciting thing we ordered haha. On the other hand, the bolognese was by far the standout!
