I absolutely loved the atmosphere in this saloon. So many fun trinkets on the walls and even arcade games and a pool table to keep us entertained. We heard they are popular for the wings and they did not disappoint, we even took leftovers for our plane ride back to FL. Their portions were huge. My favorite thing was their curly fries full of garlic and seasonings. The seating is open and you order at the bar downstairs. We enjoyed hearing the orders being called out, you'll see why if you check it out !

When my friend Tom T. and I asked for a lunch recommendation at the Old Town Sacramento Visitor Center, the gentleman working there didn't hesitate as he promptly recommended Fanny Ann's Saloon! We took his advice and I'm glad we checked this place out! Walking up, the building looks so historic and once inside, it's sensory overload in the best way with all of the neon lights, old posters, quirky signs, and layers of memorabilia covering nearly every inch of wall space. The place is multi-level and each floor feels a little different. The first floor has the bar and food window while upstairs you'll discover a mix of tables and even some vintage arcade games! Now, the food... I couldn't resist ordering the Jiffy Dog with deep fried zucchini slices! Peanut butter on a hot dog sounds like something out of a dare, but wow it was surprisingly good! The salty, savory, slightly sweet combo was bizarrely delicious. Prices were reasonable (especially in such a touristy spot) and the portion size was decent. Service was surprisingly attentive, even though the setup is casual as you place your order at the window and wait for your number to be called. Staff had great senses of humor which I love. I also loved the little local touch - they offer a discount if you're heading to a same day baseball game. If you're wandering through Old Sacramento and want more than just a standard tourist bite, I would recommend Fanny Ann's. Come hungry, come curious, and maybe even brave enough to try the peanut butter hot dog or burger!

Found this restaurant in Old Town Sac because of a Tik Toker. Ambiance- This restaurant is definitely a Saloon. It's very narrow, but has 4 floors of all kinds of cool decorations and knick knacks in every nook & cranny. It is cool, western, creepy fun. The first floor is where the main bar is. That's where you order your drinks, water, soda, ect...separately. You order your food from the menu on the wall and pay and they take your name and call out your order. 2nd floor is where the restrooms are. It is a little creepy and I spent 60 hours on a train. Lol. 2nd floor has a narrow hallway with booths. 3rd floor has all the pinball machines and seating areas to eat. The basement has an Italian bistro vibe with red gingham tablecloths. I chose to eat on the 3rd floor with the pinball machines. Food- I ordered The Fannys finest which is an Angus beef burger on a brioche bun. Brioche bun- Perfectly toasted and buttery Patty- Delicious- cooked perfectly medium, seasoned well American cheese and toppings- yummy Onion Rings- Delicious and crunchy, that crunch and flavor was just top notch Ranch- Their ranch is housemaid with buttermilk. Their Bleu cheese is also house made. This ranch was the most delicious ranch I've ever eaten. Scary story- The server let me know that she was working downstairs when they were closed and saw a man in all orange. She got scared and ran upstairs, she later was told that old sac used to house prisoners. I love a good scary story!

We were here on New Year's Day and they were open. Happy hour is till 8pm so there is a lot of time to score on happy hour. They also have 10% off on Kings game day. They have a single bar when you walk in. They have an additional bar downstairs, but I've never seen it open. The bar may be busy, but we've never had an issue with service. They are really good at seeing you and serving you. Food is ordered in the back at the grill and then they will call your name through their PA system when it's ready or if you're sitting at the bar they will bring it to you. This is a great place to eat on game day. As long as the game isn't on a Monday as they are closed on Monday's.

Came here after years of hearing about it. Self-service counters for some delicious burgers and fries (try the peanut butter burger!). Place is a relic of old arcade style games and decor from the earlier 20th century. A good time with good food.

    Burgers are the best !!

Good good!! Great service!! This bar has a historic vibe. There is a bar to order drinks. There is seating upstairs and downstairs a free video game you can play.

Bathroom doors are hella cool lol

Fanny Ann's is a fun dive bar located in the heart of Old Sacramento. It's been around a very long time and they're well known for their chicken wings. The bar isn't huge but they have plenty of options for everyone at their disposal. There's an upstairs which holds the restrooms and video games like pinball and older arcade games. Hanging out here is fun, it's always a fun option to hit before Kings games. It's right next to the tunnel which leads to the arena. So before a Kings game or any event at Golden 1 center drop in and check it out.

Vibe and food is great, still doesnt beat my fav burger though Thunder humper: this is my fault, I thought maybe chili from a restaurant would be good but I think I just dont like any kind of chili. Not a fan of the flavor. Chili flavor. Also it says its an open burger on the menu but Im an idiot and still thought I could somehow eat it normally. No they give you knife and fork. Feels weird eating a burger like that. They give you the 2 halves of the top bun on the side. I really dont know how to eat this, I just chopped top bun and burger individually, stacked top bun on top and ate them together. Besides flavor, burger was pretty good texture and saucy. Idk how I feel about un melted cheese tho. Overall not a fan, get a normal burger Curly fries: you had the option to add chili, glad I didnt do that. Were high quality fries. Perfectly salted, remained nice crunchy texture throughout eating (I ate burger first and fries last). Little hard to stab through with fork. Tiny bits were extra hard. Fries Got cold quickly. Overall, solid fries Extra Its a bar A little stall in the corner where you order your food in person The cashier has a lot of personality and loves jokes After ordering, you can find a seat and they'll have a mic that calls your name (which they know from your debit/credit card Receipt is one of those non detailed ones that just tells you the total but not individual prices Water is from bar area, its free We had a group of 5 so when asking for 5 water, they just gave us 5 cups stacked and a pitcher full of water First floor has an nes with mario and donkey kong Second floor is tiny with 2 arcade Third floor had all the pinball machines and a foosball table!! (Pay to play foosball table, pay and they give you about 11 balls Super cramped space even with 3 floors Experience was 5/5, I was with friends Food overall was 4/5 which means its good but I personally dont crave to come back for it

I was in town for Aftershock and I think I ate here every night after the concert. Pretty cool spot with affordable food options. I had burgers, wings, Grilled cheese on different nights. The place was absolutely packed, likely somewhat due to the festival. The service was good. The place is kind of small, but they have 3 stories you can eat on. Glad I remembered to snap a couple pictures.

The fries were actually pretty good, an above average standard French fry with salt. The burger however was phenomenal. There was an amazing crust on the outside reminiscent of a backyard bbq. There was ample bacon, lettuce, cheese and sauce to make it a balanced bite. The bun was high end brioche style, they really went all out on quality of ingredients. Amazing transformation. The inside is minimal with the diner decor, keeping the place open and uncluttered (although, there's a lady mannequin propped up near the window!). The smaller back patio is also nicely remodeled with their signature red double decker bus, which I hear is very close to being ready for occupation (as of 7/12/26). That will be fun to hang out and eat your burger and fries in there, especially if A/C is provided. The cute patio is also open to leashed dogs that are well behaved. I love that they offer combos with a shake or a fountain drink. You'll find burgers, shakes, fries, chili, and hot dogs. The menu is very reasonably priced too. I got a single Lucky burger combo with a large banana peanut butter chocolate shake (you can mix flavors), upgraded to chili cheese fries, and also ordered a separate fountain drink. The cashier was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Service 10/10. Given a buzzer and found a table inside. Food came up in about 5 minutes. Good burger but had way too many onions (easy fix though). I wouldn't mind a softer bun, but it was fine. The Lucky sauce is similar to thousand island dressing, and they had a few other sauces available that I still need to try. The fries were great! Battered, seasoned, and crispy. Shake was thick and not too sweet. They use real fruit, but not sure if they use real ice cream or soft serve. Either way, it was still delicious.
