    Crab cake benedict

I had a great experience here. I was in New Orleans for the weekend & decided to try the restaurant in my hotel for my last meal before heading home. The service was very friendly and accommodating. Our server made us feel right at home. The food was delicious too. It was weekend brunch, so I had the crab cake benedict, which I would definitely get again. The beignets were also excellent & they arrived hot at our table. I'm truly surprised at how empty it was in there because I would go again for the food even if I wasn't staying in the hotel. I'll definitely keep this place in mind for my next visit to NOLA.

This place wasn't horribly bad but it wasn't that great either. It seemed like they only had one server working and he was doing his best. This venue is pretty small but I like the cozy feeling. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, benedicts, hashbrowns, and grits. The biscuits and gravy were the best part of the meal. Plenty of sausage in the gravy. You can tell the hashbrowns are cooked with a ton of oil. I wish they added seasoning to the hashbrowns. Grits were decent. The benedicts were horrible. Mine were cold and the meat was tough. I am being kind because they had one server and he was trying his best. My food could have been cold because we were in a large party and they were slammed at the time. They still need to do better with time management.

Stumbled into this place today. I heard the house manager mention that they were short handed, so I will try to chalk up our negatives to that. The service was okay. It took quite a bit to get refills, but that could have been from the no shows. The chicken and waffles were tasty. The biscuit and gravy was good. However, the crab cakes Benedict were disappointing. The poached eggs were hard boiled. There was an egg with the chicken and waffles that was ordered over easy. It was a mess. It was well done and in pieces. This was not great. It was okay at best today. Perhaps we should give it another go, but with so many NOLA brunch options, we doubtfully will.

Had a delicious breakfast with great service. Nice atmosphere on a quiet street across from Lafayette park.

    Shrimp and Grits

The atmosphere was relaxing and aesthetically pleasing. Service was prompt, polite, and attentive. We had the avocado toast and the shrimp and grits. Both looked and tasted awesome! Enough for four, honestly. Price was understandable for the quality and amount of food. Great experience.

My Fried Shrimp Caesar Salad from here was so good! The salad ingredients were fresh and the shrimp was seasoned well.

Clean diner that's connected to Blake Hotel. We mainly visited because it was raining hard all morning and wasn't going to be stopping till 1pm and we wanted some brunch. I think most of the hotel guests decided to eat here since it's convenient. It was really crowded, all tables were occupied. We had to wait about 20 minutes to order because I think the server forgot about us. A nice white lady came to help us out after seeing us wait for a while and took our order. THANK YOU TO HER. Even though we asked to order twice, I guess they were just too busy, but she made sure we were taken care of. Our food took about twenty minutes. We had a BLT hamburger with side of fries and the fried catfish with a side of sweet potato fries. The catfish order states that it comes with a side salad. Unfortunately the side salad was forgotten. However, they did give us condiments, napkins and utensils. My friend also requested no cheese due to dairy allergy and there was a bit of cheese but we were able to peel it off. There's also butter on the bun, so for everyone allergic to dairy, make sure you request a plain bun! Overall The food was good! Loved the cat fish and the fries were perfectly crispy. Really filling meal and worth the price paid! Tl:dr - food is good, wait was a little long because they were busy.

This is a favorite amongst local business people in the CBD. Located at the corner of Poydras St. and St. Charles Avenue, there is so much to love about this restaurant. The floor to ceiling windows make the space bright and airy. Service is always quick, and the servers, especially Kenneth, make you feel welcomed each and every visit.

    BLT and Fries

Great food. Cozy atmosphere. Big portions. The BLT was huge. Chicken tenders were perfect. And my wife said the Mac and Cheese was the second best she's had in her life. She loves Mac and Cheese. Good service, it wasn't busy when we went. There is a sign on the door that they are hiring, so there may be a wait during their busy hours. The food is worth it.

There are three options, but we stuck with their original. Want to sample all three then order their flight of Pimm's. The muffuletta is served warm and can be ordered whole, half, or quarter. This is a classic sandwich stuffed with all your favorite cold cuts, provolone cheese, and of course their homemade Italian olive salad. Do not sleep on their hot pastrami sandwich served with creole mustard. Of course, their gumbo and red beans and rice is to die for. I am trying to stay hydrated while on vacation. I wanted to sample multiple items from the menu. I requested sausage, some rice and beans, and half of a mufaleta sandwich. My wife requested a chicken sandwich and potato salad. I hesitated as I was ordering and the server walked away while I was ordering. When he returned, he was surprised to learn that I wanted to order more food. Then he told another worker that I put my appetizer in late, so all the food came out at once. That was fine with me, but the tables were small, so not a lot of room. The sausage was tasty, but didn't hold itself together well. The red beans and rice were very tasty. I'd get those again. My first mufaleta sandwich was very tasty. Half of a sandwich is a big serving. I really enjoyed it and it makes me want to try more of them. My wife really liked her chicken sammich and potato salad. Overall, very good meal and friendly service. Good stuff!

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! It is rare to find an experience where top-tier hospitality, a breathtaking environment, and great food come together so (seemingly) effortlessly. Café Amélie is an absolute must-visit! The host was extremely welcoming and friendly. Our server and helpers were over quickly to drop off waters and greet us. I ended up ordered the salmon. With it being so early and only one or 2 other tables besides my friend and me, the food did take longer to come out than I expected it to. Both of us did thoroughly enjoy what we got. The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing. We got there around 5:30p and had to leave by 7:15p so an almost 2 hours experience that probably could have been 1 hour.
