We wanted to try this restaurant for some time and today we hit it lucky, e were there late enough that it was open. We discovered they had a combination platter that included shrimp, lamb, and chicken and that we could share it and that it came with naan. We also decided to get a pint of their vegetable sweet corn soup. Everything was beyond exceptional. We loved every taste and we really appreciated the quality of the food. My only complaint is that they kept trying to push us into buying more food. I have no idea who they're used to dealing with but we do not eat large lunches because it makes us too sleepy to work in the afternoon. I tried these new kids on the block for Sunday dinner. Overall the restaurant was crowded and lots of to go orders. I was encouraged. Ordered their Chicken Tikka and Chilli Chicken for appetizers. Tikka was pretty good and freshly made. Chilli Chicken tasted not so fresh. When called out, the owner was immediately responding and replaced the dish. I have to say it was made fresh and tasted well. The Chicken briyani was medium spiced and tasted pretty good. Portion size is good too. Naan and chicken korma were good too. Wow! What a great place! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the owner of the place. Praveen made us feel right at home, like we were having dinner at his house. The food was equally amazing. We sat down and were served by the owner, very nice hospitable guy. We ordered Chicken Biyani and Chicken tikka kabob. My wife got a small chikoo shake which was very good. They also sell Chinese food which i was surprised about. We sampled some and really like it. The food was excellent. Oordered some rasmalai which looked like was made from scratch. We're a Muslim family of four that decided to come here based on the good things we heard from other relatives. The staff was very nice, and the owner was there as well to constantly make sure our dining experience was going well. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and we didn't have to wait long for our food to come to our table despite the amount we ordered. The owner was even kind enough to give us two servings of gulab jamun on the house. Our overall experience was really good, the food was amazing, we ordered the chicken tikka masala, chicken fried rice, and chicken noodles, and a platter with mixed meats, as well as my mom's favorite, the custard apple smoothie, which was unique and surprisingly tasty. I never visited their Fremont location so this is just about the Dublin location. Or should I say, San Ramon - its literally on the border. The service is good, and the food is good but the logistics needs some rework. We ordered Chicken Dum Biryani, Butter Chicken, Paneer Masala and some Naans and a few Mango Lassis. We were happy with all dishes we ordered. I know it is still new and they are figuring out things. It just feels weird that they seat you and take your order at your table like a regular restaurant but then make you pay on the spot like a fast food place. They should rather let the customer come up to the counter and order and get seated themselves. Or let them pay at the end like a regular restaurant. I am a fan of their Fremont outlet and have been eating there since at least 10 years. I tried this location twice now and I found that the staff are not at all customer friendly. I could give 0 stars to their customer interaction skills. I recently ordered through Uber eats and included special instructions. Usually, I call the restaurant right after my order is accepted on Uber eats and confirm that they would be able to prepare the entree per my instructions. This time, when I tried doing that, they straight away said they can't prepare it as ordered. The surprising part is that they were able to do the same without any issues just 3 weeks ago when I ordered. When I reached the restaurant to pick up my food, the person who handed over my food RUDELY said that I have to pay extra for special instructions by selecting the corresponding option from their menu. When I showed them that the menu is not structured for me to select the options, so as to pay more, the person was UNAPOLOGETIC. The irony is that despite all this, they charged me more than what was stated when I ordered. While I don't have any problem in paying extra for the entree to be prepared they way I like it, I should at least have the option of selecting it in the menu (say extra sauce $3 or something). The person who spoke to me made it sound like that was not Biryani Bowl's problem. So UNPROFESSIONAL! read more
