Very very very spicy food. Asked many times to tone it down so to taste food . Don't know who would eat this kind of spicy food with out feeling the taste of food? The same Vijawada biryani which I gave a review on saying it's awesome before 9 months has degraded its quality. they make it so so (extreme) spicy that it's impossible to even eat it. I suppose this should be classified as a "quick serve restaurant" because it's in an old Taco Bell building and is not to be confused with a fine dining experience. You order at the front, then go take your seat. But don't think just because it's in an old Taco Bell building you're going to be in and out of here 15 minutes. Allow yourself a full 45, because after you order your food it takes about 15 minutes to be served. Whether they're cooking it from scratch back in the kitchen, I don't know. But it makes you think maybe they are! :-) I didn't mind, because we weren't in too big of a hurry for our curry. Quick disclaimer: I'm a gora who's just venturing into eating and cooking more Indian food. I found the food to be quite tasty and I'd happily come back again. I didn't order the dal spicy, but the normal spiciness was very pleasant. Maybe some non spicy good eaters would think it's too spicy, but I found it to be perfectly seasoned. The naan was good, too. I ordered through Uber eats and 5 minutes later a guy from the restaurant calls me back to say that one particular item which I ordered isn't available and that I should update my order. This wasn't updated in the app and he sounded like as though they were not at fault - strike 1 Also, they confirmed my order in Uber eats (even though an item wasn't available), which means I can't cancel the order and when I told this to the guy on the phone, he tells me that he can't do anything about it - strike 2 So I had to tell him another item on the menu. He tells me that this item is 2$ more that the item which wasn't available and gives me an option of another dish of same or lower rate. WTF - when I thought that he couldn't be ruder to a customer at this point, he hangs up WITHOUT giving me a solution and doesn't pick the call again. read more

This review is about my eating in experience. First of all let me say that this is one of my favorite place for biryanis and still is - specially for their chicken dum biryani. I had only tried take outs so far, but today I made the mistake of eating in. The place is self serve. You order at the counter and then take a seat and they bring your food over. However, when I arrived during the lunch hour, there was no one at the counter to take your order. About 5 other people and I were waiting for someone to show up. About 10 minutes later, someone showed and everyone was able to order. I ordered a biryani and a sweet lassi and then sat at a table. About 45 minutes into the wait, I got anxious, because others who had arrived after me were already finishing up. I went to ask about it at the counter. Once again I had to wait for someone to show up. When he did, he said that there was some mistake and to wait just one more minute and he will bring my food. So I went back to my table and waited. After waiting for another 10 minutes I went back again to inquire. This time he went inside and brought my food!!! I asked him about the lassi. He said, he will bring it right away. But he never actually brought it. I was in no mood for an argument so I ate the biriyani - which I must say was pretty good - and left. I would not recommend this place for eating in. read more

This review is purely for their take out paneer biriyani. it's a staple during most weekends in our household! always a hit.

We waited forever for our food, hence the 1 star deduction, but the food was good and SPICY! Thank God for the yogurt. We ordered garlic naan (fresh, crispy, super flavorful), goat curry (goat was not as tender as i've had elsewhere, but the curry was on point), fish appetizer was huge portion, very delicious and perfectly cooked (we noted a few other tables ordered it too, so it's gotta be a must-try!), and my husband enjoyed the chicken biryani. The restaurant itself is no-frills; all serve ware are disposable (paper cups, paper plates, plastic spoons and fork). I did appreciate the thermos with HOT chai tea, especially since we had to wait forever for our meal (~20mins). I'll definitely come back again, but maybe call ahead to pickup dinner. read more

This review is for take-out mostly, so I can't speak to the service of the restaurant. I always order the lamb keema biryani and it is absolutely delicious. The spice levels are perfect, the keema is moist, and the portion is large (for takeout, at least). I usually get one order for my sister and myself and we're able to have two meals each. The yogurt raita that comes with it goes great with the keema and helps tone down the spice levels. So why the 3 stars? While I was waiting for my take-out order once, I had some of the complimentary chai and after the first sip I had to throw the rest away. It had a sour taste that made me feel sick. On top of that, I used the bathroom at the restaurant that day and bathroom was not very clean. It looks like even when you dine in, the food is served in take-out containers. So my tip is to order take-out as the dining experience isn't up to par. read more

I have tried biryani at different places in bay area. The reason why I thought of visiting this place in dublin is because I loved amaravathi biryani from milpitas biryaniz branch. While I loved the the biryani at milpitas branch, I regret visiting dublin biryaniz. The taste is awful. The biryani just felt like eating rice. I should say rice and curry from home is far better. Poor customer service, no caring attitude. Ordered to go. Ask Sai the order taker twice to make sure the dish is not spicy at all, it's for kids. Came back home 10pm and found out it's too hot to handle by kids. Have to go out at 10pm and get something else for them. My pain is Kids were hungry and disappointed after getting ready on a dinner table at 10:00pm which was kind of already late on Sunday evening. Called the front desk and talked to Sai, only response which I understand from him is " Sorry sir we can't do anything, we have all the time other kids eating at our place and never complaint. You are the first one, I can't do anything" Guess what, everybody cannot eat or handle the same amount of spices and Chilli. Every kid is different. If they want to serve only one type of community from one region then the guy is right. But if they want other customers to be served then I don't accept this answer. Also, I would like them to be honest in communicating the customer upfront about how hot it is to handle on a scale of 1 to 10. Instead of communicating it incorrectly or vaguely. Don't know how Biryaniz got positive reviews but we have ordered biryani from this restaurant over a span of few years. we mostly ordered Vijayawada chicken 65 biryani which is spiciest of all biryanis I tried in bay area. I used to order any other biryani along with this, trust me none used to be tasty. Cheap quality biryanis and no taste at all. Authentic and flavorful Indian food. It is on the spicier side but we love it this way. Excellent depth of flavor in the biryani. Tika massala and saag is so good. Gobi and samosa are delicious. Spicy, yummy, fingerlicking biryanis! We are vegetarians, and we love biryani. The restaurant is not that great, but the food is amazing. If you cannot handle too much spice, then DO NOT order Vijayawada Biryani. Go for the milder Amaravathi Ulavacharu Biryani. If you want something in between, then go for the Hyderabadi Dum Biryani.
