Quite a lot of friends asking me about what to order at the Bistro King in Englewood. For the foodies shooting for authenticity, here are my favorites: cold noodle with sesame sauce, pickled cabbage and glass noodles, boiled fish with garlic, sweet and sour crispy pork, beef chou fen, bullfrog with pickled peppers, eggplant, potato and green pepper, pork intestine with chili sauce, ong choy with garlic, beef with cumin and stir-fried mixed vegetables. The list is not all inclusive as there are certainly many equally delicious dishes I left out.

My family and I have dined here a few times. The first few times I thought it was fairly good, but this last time we went, I was very pleased with all the dishes. We started by ordering the whole fish. They filet it and present it on a huge stainless steel container. Under the fish consists of bean sprouts, glass noodles, tofu, mushroom and a few other items. This is a huge dish and split between the 5 of us we still had two containers of leftovers to take home. I also loved the eggplant, potatoes and green pepper. The way it's prepared isn't soggy and the eggplant was cooked to perfection. Deep fried pork ribs are always delicious and well seasoned. There's also a sweet fried pork dish and that adds a different flavor profile to your meal. The cold noodles in peanut sauce even impressed my toddler son. There wasn't too much peanut butter flavor and just the right amount of sesame to balance the dish. The beef chow fun is not the best we've had, but it gets the job done. Highly recommend coming here for their authentic dishes!

I was getting new tires put on at the Firestone next door. It was lunchtime and I still had two hours to wait. I saw the wonderful signage for this restaurant and opted to give it a try. I'm sure glad I did. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted very enthusiastically. It made me feel special. I was told I could sit anyplace I liked, I picked a comfy booth and sat down. I was delivered water and had a drink order taken within a minute. Just a few minutes later I placed an order for black pepper shrimp. Ten minutes later, it arrived. I really liked the presentation on the tray. It was a lunch special so it came with soup, an egg roll and a wanton. All for eleven bucks. A great deal in my opinion. The food was hot, fresh and well prepared. I really enjoyed my meal and the peaceful ambiance. This is a great little place with good food and great prices. I'll be back for sure.

It's been years since I've been to Bistro King but I'm so glad not much has changed with the remodel! The food is as it always was, delicious. The staff is so friendly and with the remodel the seating now is so nice, clean and open. I'll be coming back again soon to try other items on the menu again.

Happened upon Bistro King for lunch today and the lunch deal is killer! The food is delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Lunch came out very quickly, the portions were large and everything tasted great! Based on the clientele, we knew we had chosen authentic Asian cuisine. Highly recommend. The hot and sour soup is probably my favorite I've had in Denver! Can't wait to come back and try more of their food.

I have been impressed the last two deliveries. The first of the two, the staff elected to take our last minute order, right before closing, rather then turning us away because they closed in 3 minutes. The second, an item was incorrect because of a misunderstanding with the order, and the made the correct item and rushed it over. Both two great experiences. The food is great! read more

For customer service, it was fine except I am fairly certain the delivery guy accused me of giving the wrong address and I definitely know my own address... For the food, when I was ordering over the phone I should have taken it as a red flag when I ordered pan fried noodles and the guy over the phone had to repeat the exact dish name from the menu to know what I was talking about. Eating the food I couldn't help thinking that I probably would have enjoyed a can of La choy more than that. I am fairly picky about Chinese food and this just didn't make the cut. (La choy doesn't either though!) Next time will bite the bullet and either dine in or pick up from Little Shanghai, only reason I didn't do that this time was that I wanted delivery. read more

I love this place! The inside of the restaurant is clean and cute. I usually have food delivered to my house and it is always quick and the food is delivered hot! I am a drunken noodles fan and these are the best ones in englewood. I will continue to order and eat from here. read more

One of the worst restaurant delivery services I think I've ever had. Placed an order at 6:15 in the evening and COLD food didn't arrive until nearly 9:00. The food also tasted like it was cooked the day before. To boot, when I refused to pay the ticket, management threatened to call the police. My business will be taken elsewhere from now on. read more

This review is based on the food. I have eaten here a few times only for takeout and the food has been pretty good. (I have lived in China and Thailand and have eaten my fair share of Asian food) However, the customer service here is pretty bad. I always have to wait to pick the food even though the sushi guy is right there looking at me. Oh and one time on a Saturday afternoon they were out of white rice but i will definitely return. read more

Yum! We are visiting our son at Denver University from St Louis. Found this great restaurant to satisfy various tastes. We had Thai, sushi and Chinese- all of them were fantastic! The portions are huge so we had lots of leftovers for breakfast. read more

Everything is always great here! My order is delivered right over and over again. The sushi is fresh and the dishes are excellent with great flavor. My favorite- sesame chicken, green curry, chicken coconut soup, and of coarse they have a unique way of wrapping the wontons so that every bite is filled with crab meat cheese. The sushi deluxe is also a great deal with plenty of fish. read more

We have been to Bistro KIng 3-4 times and every time it is perfection. The food is fresh, clean and flavorful. The Sushi is fantastic. Staff is fun and friendly. We live in the neighborhood and have been to 10 Steak house a few times. Bistro King is much better and 1/2 the price. Love it, love it, love it. Don't be shocked if there are not a lot of cars, they do a big delivery business, but the dine in is great. Highly recommend!!!! read more

Forgive me if I seem short. I'm starving. I don't know how the food is. I ordered it for delivery and it hasn't shown up in an hour and a half. They said it would take fifty minutes within their delivery area, which seemed fair. So far, it's 45 minutes late. And after a phone call, I'm still not sure. "Ten minutes?" she said, because she doesn't really know. Probably not going to try it again, regardless of how good it is (if it shows up). I'll let you know. Update. Delivery took two hours. I'm less than a mile away. I could have just gone over there and got it, so no. It's not that good and it's not worth waiting two hours for. I guess that's the last time I tip in advance. read more

Me and my co-workers ordered for the first time and had the weirdest and worst experience at the same time. First we were charged for dinner and we ordered lunch(Difference in price on every entree was nine dollars) It was 1:30pm on a Sunday!!!. The menu doesn't state that on Sundays you get charged for a dinner no matter what. Next we ordered over $30 for our first visit so the crab and cheese wontons should have been free, and based on the bon-bon truffle size they should have been samples. When the delivery guy got here he calls back to the store and speaks in his respective language he has a full conversation with the manager and then says here as if I want to talk. Instead of making it right he argues with me and then says, "or i have to take it back"....they did leave the food just to not waste the food......Terrible service ok to mediocre Chinese food. read more

We order delivery from here occasionally when we just want really quality fresh chinese food, and don't mind waiting or paying a little extra for it. They have the best crab cheese wontons we have ever had, and the coconut shrimp has become a favorite. My boyfriend gets a 6 piece california roll for just $5, and I simply love the appetizers and fried rice. I even liked the egg drop soup despite the corn that is in it, i'm just personally not a fan of corn in it. Overall, we love this place! read more

This review is for their delivery service. I have had their food several times in house as I live in the area and found it to be above average on some dishes. Unfortunately their delivery service is horrible. The last couple of times we ordered for delivery it took an unacceptable amount of time. The first time was an hour and a half, the second time was OVER TWO HOURS! After an hour and a half I called to ensure they got my order. They did and when I had questioned why it was taking so long, I was basically told they cannot guarantee when food will arrive on the weekends. I was then told it should only be 10 more min. 40 min later, I called back and requested my order be cancelled, it was just taking way too long and we had decided just to grab a pizza at Little Caesars. They didn't care. They guy eventually showed up and insisted I take the food when I tried to tell him no so we went back and forth until I finally just grabbed the food and shut the door. They charge an extra 4.00 delivery charge for a service they cannot guarantee. We will not be ordering from them again. read more

A half an hour late with the delivery. So I call. The woman is rude and impatient and said it will get to me in another half hour. I explained that two hours for delivery is not acceptable the response was "we are busy". Lame, if you are busy hire more people. read more

Boom! A friend and I were in Denver to test drive a car, and having just driven down from the mountains, we were hungry. He found this place on his Yelp! app, cause we were just around the corner from it, and it had great scores, so we pulled in to give it a shot. Boy, am I glad we did, It is a little off the main road, next to a car wash, on the edge of a neighborhood. For some reason, this seems like the perfect place for it. The food was fantastic. Fresh sushi, beautifully arranged and served up fast, and the meals were outta sight! HUGE portions, served so hot that they were inedible at first. But, once they cooled down, it was on! I had the combo fried rice, and he had the Singapore noodles. We had 3 different rolls, one was the Spiderman roll, and it had an entire soft shell crab on top. I don't remember the other rolls, but they were really good. All in all, the food was incredible, and if I am ever back in that part of town I will definitely be back! read more

I am addicted to their crab cream cheese wontons. Their Pad Thai is perfect and can feed me for three days. Both delivery and pickup have been timely. Their BBQ ribs were tough and stringy, but it's the first time I've tried them so maybe they're supposed to be like that? read more

Perfectly crispy on the outside with a light, tangy layer of sauce that added flavor without making it soggy. Easily my favorite dish of the meal. The fried tofu was also really solid and flavorful with just the right amount of spice. The peppers and onions complemented it well without overpowering the tofu itself. The orange chicken was okay. I tend to compare orange chicken to Panda Express (probably unfair, but it's my benchmark), and this one didn't quite hit that same balance of crispiness and sauce. I think if it had a bit more meat within each piece, would be better. The mixed vegetables were decent but not something I'd order again. They felt a bit drenched in sauce and didn't have much depth in flavor. One of the highlights of the visit was meeting an elderly woman who helps out when it gets busy. She mentioned she was the former owner. She was incredibly kind, and we ended up having a really nice conversation in Mandarin. That personal touch made the experience even more memorable. Otherwise, really nice venue with lots of space and tables. Waiters always refilled my water, which is a good plus. Also gave me fresh rice when I took the leftovers to go. Overall, a solid meal with a couple standout dishes. I'd definitely come back for the fried fish fillet and tofu. Will be back to try their other dishes.

Today my least favorites were the siumai (firm and not seasoned well), chicken feet (bland), and the tripe (very tender but lacking in flavor and the radish was a bit smelly). Any of their shrimp dimsum seem to have full plump shrimps including the steam shrimp and chives dumpling that normally is chopped coarsely. The pork blood was cooked perfectly and so smooth.

There's a lot of wok hei. Overall, space is big enough to accommodate large groups. Parking is a hit or miss in the center - don't come during Chinese New Year unless you love searching for parking and tight spaces.

They provided complimentary donuts at the end of the meal which we very much enjoyed. The only negative was that it was too hot inside the restaurant. It was around 78-degrees inside on a 95-degrees day. The temperature inside made us want to finish up quickly and go somewhere with better AC.

Formerly known as "Hunan City", they have remodeled and added Sushi and Thai cuisine. This was already the best Chinese food in the Denver Metro area. Now even better. Very reasonable priced (cheap). A bit of an off-the-beaten track location (1 block off Hampden), but well worth it. This is by far the best Chinese Restaurant ever! Food is amazing, the family who owns it are great! We've been coming here for many many years (back when they had a location off 72nd and Sheridan) and we've never found any place better. The food is hands down the best! I've been ordering lunch here for years. They never disappoint their Thai Fried Rice and Sesame Chicken. I'm not a big sushi fan but any of their vegetarian sushi rolls are a nice treat from time to time. I've seen a lot of hate about their seafood - we're in CO so I never expect much anyways. I cherish bistro ruler. The sushi is in every case great and made on the spot, and the menu for it is immense. I generally request thai tea here it is great, and any broiled sustenance here is extraordinary like the orange or sesame chicken. read more

I don't usually dine in, just take out more often. Sushi is great for the price and their sashimi you gotta get. Delivery usually takes 40 mins to an hour which isn't too bad, when I dine in their service is pretty good as well. read more
