Wow. Perfect for Christmas time. Photo ops are everywhere!! The giant props/decor are soo cute. Wear something nice - perfect for family photos. Book ahead of time to reserve seating. F O O D Food was incredible 10/5 stars. Would definitely come back for the food and a different server Well made up for the meh service (2/5). He was overconfident and seemed overwhelmed. We understood that its holiday season so its busier. He ignored us a few times (he told us later he saw us but was busy so i guess he decided to just overlook us) and I very much was not impressed with his communication skills (a quick - my apologies, give me a moment, let me xyz and ill be right with you - wouldve sufficed). He also tried memorizing our order but had to ask us several times to confirm (i dont care that you memorize. I care that the order is right lol) and then ended up overcharging us. He even told my friend "I told you to tell me if there's anything i'm missing". Rough.

‼PARKING‼ It may be cheaper to just use valet the lot itself it is $8 for the first hour. The waitress also suggested we use valet next time. I give it a 3.5-4 stars. The staff was amazing and very attentive and kind. We had Temicka she was amazing and very friendly and even gave us amazing recommendations on the food! The ambiance was so cute with all of the holiday decor I felt like I was walking into Santa's workshop! I absolutely loved all the nutcrackers and gingerbreads and lights everywhere! It was breathtaking! The food was really good too! We got escargot and mussels for appetizers and bread all very good! The main dishes we had were the duck, chicken breast, and steak dinner all of which were juicy and very flavorful! Then for dessert we had the lemon tarte and a puff pastry. We enjoyed the lemon tarte the best as it was paired with a mandarin ice cream! The puff pastry was a tad dry with the bread part and the ice cream filling was a little off putting with its almost lemon like zest. Overall the food was very good! The only remark I have is the utensils we were handed were dirty we were able to request new ones but that was one minus for me. Overall my experience was very enjoyable that I would come back in the future! If you're looking for a little night out with the girls this is the spot to catch up!

Another stop on our french tour of the states. My partner and I try to visit in French restaurant in whatever city we are visiting. This was our stop while in ATL. The service, I think, should get special mention. They were all so lovely and attentive! Even servers that weren't taking care of us checked in frequently if we were okay or needed anything! For starters, we had the steak tartare and escargot. We enjoyed both but the escargot was the clear favorite of the table. The garlic butter and the puff pastry tops?! Couldn't get enough of those!l The steak tartare was nice fresh. The entree was the duck breast. This was pretty good as well. The citrus added an extra layer of intrigue on the palate. Returned to Bistro to celebrate my son's fourteenth birthday and overheard another server describing numerous specials when our server hadn't offered any. I politely mentioned to manager Ryan I was disappointed that we weren't offered any of the specials the other server offered to her table. He not only apologized but had that server (Georgia, who's wonderful) take care of us for the rest of the evening, and gave us two complimentary desserts with a candle for my son's birthday. A minor hiccup, but was very impressed by how they professionally rebounded. Kudos to Ryan and Georgia!

We were in Atlanta visiting family and met friends for brunch at Bistro Niko. It was a Saturday around noon, and there were only a few other diners. I ordered the Omelette au Fromage - I chose Gruyère cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes (please note the $3 charge for each item other than the cheese). The omelette was very fluffy and light, filled with a nice filling of cheese and veggies! The potatoes were also very good and the bread was as good as any French loaf I've had! We had the Profiteroles for dessert - a little disappointed, as you can see in the picture, no pastry shell! There was a small layer of pastry on the bottom and top of the dessert, but it was chewy, and not flaky and airy, as the pastry should be.

Went at the beginning of January for a visit to Atlanta and heard about the holiday pop-up at this place. It did NOT DISAPPOINT! The decorations were fabulous. I was seated promptly, and I had the nicest waitress. I got the omelette with duck fat fried potatoes, and everything tasted so good. Even the bread that they brought to the table with butter was amazing. I splurged and got a dessert which was vanilla ice cream with a brownie and fudge sauce. Everything about my entire meal felt warm and cozy. I would highly recommend to go here, especially during the holidays!

Bestie turned 40 and after a weekend of celebrating, it was time for the official Birthday Dinner. As my bestfriend is very picky, Bistro Niko was the restaurant of choice. Bistro Niko was very easy to find as it sits on the main strip. Parking is ample as there is Valet as well as Paid Lots. Walking into Bistro Niko, the ambiance is still. The noise level is minimum, the lighting is intimate, and the decor is eye-catching. As you get lost in the visual design, the use of space is perfect for the size and makes walking and navigating an ease. The table settings were pristine along with the service provided by Nicki, our server. Nicki greeted us with a huge smile, warm greeting, and an abundance of love and joy. Nicki truly took my Bistro Niko experience from a 10 to a 100. LoL!!! As we engaged in conversation, we placed our orders and everything flowed smoothly. From the delivery of the drinks, to the bread, to refills, and finally the food. Bistro Niko didn't skip a beat when it came to providing superior quality and Nicki matched the tone by providing superior customer service. I decided to order the Mushroom Burger and it was impeccable. The beef was high quality. The meat was well rested and the flavor profile shined alongside the mushroom encrustment and toasted bun. Though it was a burger, it was of such high quality that it can't be called a burger. It was a beef led foodtastic experience. Ha!! Once dinner concluded, the birthday song was executed and the night concluded. Bistro Niko was an amazing experience from beginning to end. Nicki was great. The manager who checked in on us was great. The food was great. The night was great. If you're in the area and wanting a great meal and experience, stop in for the Bistro Niko experience.

So French. So cute. I'm obsessed. This Buckhead cafe is like a little escape to Paris but we're in Atlanta folks. I got the traditional tuna Niçoise salad, and I'm in love. Fresh, crisp, balanced and everything you want in a cafe lunch. Superb and friendly service. I can't get over the decor. Perfect spot to feel fancy without trying too hard. Tres chic. In preparing for a Paris trip, experiencing the food was interesting. It was butter heavy but tasty. Service was so so. They were pretty busy but someone managed to come by and refill the sparkling water which made me more full. The food here will put you in a food coma. The hubs and I had to literally take a nap right after getting home. It was a must! For a Valentine's Day's lunch that weekend, there was a ton of people. Surprisingly there was a lot of people with their young kids so there was a mixture of people of different phases of life. The food breakdown -- Pommes frites: Don't get the fries, they are the most plain and lackluster. We thought there would be pazazz because this is a nice place. No. There're kind of like Steak n Shake fries to be honest. Sausage maison: The sausage was surprisingly pretty tasty. It's not like the salt heavy ones or sweet flavored ones like the Jimmy Dean brand. There was a nice texture and meaty bite. It's the subtle difference that makes everything else seem inferior. House cold smoke salmon tarte : This thing was superbly delicious and had a nice visual when it was brought out. It was the different textures and colors: the white creme fraiche and green capers were subtle in their flavor but added that nice pop of color. The minced red onion pieces on the other hand made up for the flavor. And the salmon laying atop the thin flatbread crisp had the opposing textures and flavors. Georgia Mountain trout meuniere: The skin on the fish was thin and crisp. The fish itself was flavorful with a hint of nuttiness. And it was wonderful on the pomme puree. It was like butter in your mouth, though there was an apparent layer of butter at the bottom. Haha. The thin green beans were a complimentary choice. It just goes well with mashed potatoes you know?! Crisp duck confit: The duck's skin was crispy. The meat was moist and fatty. It's prepared differently than the Asian variations. I really enjoyed the bed of frisee salad; it made things more fresh and healthy. The potatoes cooked in duck fat was indeed fatty and had a nice bite. Parking is sadly not validated. We paid like $12 or $14 for the 1.5 while we waited and dined in. And that parking structure was confusing as heck. I kid you not that I had 3 rounds while trying to find the correct exit. And on top of all that, I existed from the resident exit and was essentially stuck. It was a disaster!

Went for brunch. Was seated fast, liked how they have valet parking for $2. Very convenient. Their bread and butter were delicious to start the meal off with. Water tastes atrocious like pool water. Got the omelette which was decent with the potatoes which I really liked how crispy they were on the outside. Tried the mustard crusted pork and the pork was sooo tender and delicious. Highly recommend that one.

Have been there twice. Both seafood and service were great. The restaurant sits next to the Buckhead station and just 0.5 Mi from Buckhead shopping mall so it is very convenient to have a meal there. It features French cuisine with beautiful dining rooms and a casual atmosphere. The first time I tried this restaurant was on Christmas holiday and I did a walk-in. The restaurant was full of lovely decor and happy diners. I ordered skate wing as my entree and a side of sautéed spinach. I never tried skate wing before but it was lightly crispy outside and very juicy inside. Paired well with the capers. Service was not slow even if the restaurant was packed with people. Then I had my second meal there today after shopping at Macy. I ordered the sea bass substitute creamed spinach for green beans and jumbo asparagus. The fish was grilled to perfection: skin was crispy and meat was tender. I also liked the way they cook the asparagus--it seemed to be boiled or steamed, which retained the sweetness of the veggie. Service was quick. My server was very friendly and polite! So in general this is a perfect place to have some French cuisine alone, with friends or for a family gathering. Will come back to try more dishes.

Came here for dinner with a friend and there was such a nice Parisian feel to the restaurant. The waitress was so great and gave us incredible recommendations. They also provide complimentary bread and butter which was sooo good. We had the tartar and truffle mushroom tarte as an appetizer. The flavors were so fresh and memorable. Our main was also incredible. The desserts were the only items that were okay. I would've opted out of the desserts. read more

Came here for a birthday brunch last weekend, as a backup and thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was a Saturday afternoon and there was live music playing. We asked the waiter for recommendations, per usual. I went with the crispy duck confit with potatoes and salad and my friend went with the petit filet mignon benedict. We had wine and aperol spritz to pair with our brunch meals. The warm bread on the table was definitely the highlight for me. Absolutely loved the ambiance, so we will definitely be back, likely for drinks and I'd love to try dinner. read more

Went to bistro niko yesterday to meet one of my partners family members! The service and the food was outstanding. For drink i got the nouvelle vie which was a fresh gin cocktail, not too sweet not too acidic. It was so refreshing! For food, my partner is gluten free and he had sooo many options to choose from. Both him and his aunt got the fresh trout from a georgia which came with potatoes and green beans! They both absolutely devoured it. I got the chicken bourgeoisie! everything was delicious! The only reason giving 4 stars and not 5 is because we were sat near a window and we were incredibly hot during the whole dinner. Also i wish they had better bathrooms. But the food, drinks, and service were definitely 5 stars! read more

I wasn't expecting Bistro Niko to be such a vibe during the holidays. We had lunch reservations on Christmas Eve and it was gloriously festive and decorated throughout. The service was lovely and the ambiance was mid-level of loud and lively. We ordered the Maine scallops with mashed potatoes and steak frites. I really enjoyed both dishes, the scallops were delicious and the steak frites cooked medium were tender and served with a side of pate and crisp french fries. He enjoyed the dishes as well but mentioned the mashed potatoes were too salty. We finished off the lunch with a warm apple tarte and scoop of cinnamon ice cream. Melt in your mouth deliciousness! Overall, I highly recommend Bistro Niko especially during the Christmas holiday. read more

Bistro Niko is a pretty awesome high end French restaurant in the middle of Buckhead. It's easy to find and has validated two hour parking in the deck. We came for a birthday dinner as well as for the super cute Christmas decorations and festive pop up bar, and were not disappointed! They have quite a few options for their pop up and I got the spiked egg nog. It could have been a little stronger, but was still great to sip on. For my entree I had the duck cooked medium over red cabbage, and potatoes, topped with mandarins. The duck was super tender, flavorful, and I loved the sauce that came with it. The cabbage was pretty good too, and the potatoes were nice and crisp. For dessert, the complimentary birthday dessert cream puffs were as good as the rest of the meal. Overall, the food was great! The service was a little slow, but our waiter was extremely kind and funny. read more

I had the pork cutlet today and it was terrible. It was supposed to come with a breading and lemon caper sauce, sounded amazing. I got a dry sauce free breaded cutlet that took several glasses of water to consume but became inedible. I was with a birthday group so I couldn't complain. That's disappointment #1. Then I ordered the creme brûlée for desert and it had the consistency of scrambled eggs. I couldn't even finish it, it was so disappointing. I would never come back here again, good service, terrible food. read more

We love this restaurant and have chosen Bistro Niko to celebrate several events, including New Years Eve dinner, in the past, but for brunch last weekend they totally outdid themselves. We were a large party of family and friends, and Ryan singlehandedly took great care of us - drinks, explaining specials, bringing refills - friendly and efficient service with a smile. and the food was, as always, delicious! Benedicts, omelettes, croque madame - all superb. Beautiful space, live jazz, great service and excellent food - Bistro Niko remains a family favorite. Highly recommend! read more

I've dined here several times for lunch and dinner and I always have a positive experience. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the food is always tasty. The outdoor patio definitely gives Parisian vibes when the weather is nice. My go-tos are the escargot for starters, and the croque monsieur (may not be on the menu but they will make it for you). I also like the roasted chicken and the burger is divine! I recently had the french onion soup and wasn't a fan, way too much cheese! I ate around it, but I'd avoid that one moving forward. read more

Overall food was good. My favorite was the appetizer. I also really enjoyed ÎLE FLOTANTE dessert. It is definitely unique and haven't tried anywhere else before. I could taste the French culture cuisine in both the appetizers & desert. However the Burger taste like any other Burger. Seafood pasta was good however it had a little strong fishy aftertaste. The environment was very pretty. My friend got proposed here during Christmas time so I wanted to go try it out. During Christmas time they have holiday lights wrap around the restaurant. The drinks can be over price spent $19 for a margarita. The service was quick and easy. The waiter even told us about downloading their app and you can get a free appetizer which you can use at any of their partner restaurants read more

The service here is phenomenal! Every server is attentive and tuned in to your needs. It makes the experience pleasant and comforting! I also like the open kitchen aspect and being able to see what's being made. Having dinner here at about 6pm on a Saturday was busy but having a reservation makes it a breeze! We started with the lump crab cake as suggested but our waitress and it was so good! Buttery yet light. No bready bits, truly just crab. I like the french style roasted chicken but could have used a bit more salt to me. Other than that the I loved the crunchy veggies on top and the succulent mushrooms. This was a nice dining experience overall but food was a 7/10. Aside from the crab cake which I would 100% come back for, also want to try the mussels. read more

We just had an excellent dinner at Bistro Niko. Their steak and frites we're absolutely top-notch. I had the Prime NY Sirloin Strip & Frites with béarnaise sauce and both my kids had the Ribeye Steak Maitre d'Hotel Butter & Frites. The steak was exceptionally tender and juicy and the fries were made just right. My wife also greatly enjoyed the Mountain Trout Almondine. For appetizers we ordered the Mushroom & Truffle Essence Tarte, the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, and the Crisp Duck Leg Confit. They were all wonderful, specially the duck confit. To top it off, for dessert we ordered the Profiteroles and the Crème Brulée. Both were divine! We also appreciated the courteous service and inviting ambiance. We'll be returning soon! Ambience was 10/10. Such a big restaurant and so well decorated for Christmas. The escargot and tuna tartare are very good appetizers to start with. We had a party of 5 and ordered 5 different entrees to share. The skate wing was sub par, the steak is what you'd expect out of a good steak, the duck breast was okay, the sea bass was absolutely delicious so was the side of creamed spinach. Oddly the best entree was the Cajun chicken. It was SO GOOD. Very juicy and flavorful. Now the real star of the show was the service. Ali, our server was outstanding and a jack of all trades! He was a gem! Very attentive and overall just a great guy! He made our night with his humor and help. Also, the drinks were all good too. Make sure to get the champagne/st Germaine beverage they have. read more

Bistro Niko was less than okay for me. Excellent service, nice ambiance, but the menu selection was just okay. My shrimp pasta had a taste of dish liquid. Not saying there was dish liquid in the pasta, but it just didn't taste right and could have used more seasoning for certain. They were extra hospitable and offered a few times to make something different, but I was okay didn't feel drawn to anything else on the menu. Nonetheless, my husband thought his food was decent and finished his dish. When asked if he would return, his words were "it's not on the top of my list, but if I had too, I might try them one more time." Again, fantastic service and great ambiance-- just had a not so great experience with the food. No worries, one can't always get a home run. Five stars for service and hospitality! read more

Service was amazing we were served by a French waiter who ironically is named Niko! Amazing service and recommendations. The coq au vin was soooo good I heavily recommend. The chicken fell off the bone and the skin was crispy and delicious. The French onion soup was also amazing and me and my partner shared it as an appetizer. It had a lot of cheese! The cheese puffs tasted like gourmet cheezits with a soft pillowy texture. The chocolate mousse was amazing and we also got another desert called Île flottante that I didn't get a picture of but it was soooo good it tasted like a toasted marshmallow with a sweet cream sauce topped with crunch almond flakes. My partner got the au poivre burger and the brandied pepper aioli sauce that comes on it was to die for. Super crunchy and had a deep flavor. The ambience was also very romantic and felt very well put together. I asked for an extra spoon and the waiter presented it to me on a silver platter (I'm not joking!). Bathrooms were super clean and they aren't gendered it's just 3 private bathrooms with locks. Overall bistro Niko was an amazing night out with my partner for less than $100. We used the Buckhead life restaurant group voucher for $30 off and everything was $63.58 not including tip. read more

I have dined at Bistro Niko about a dozen times, including twice during the pandemic. The quality of the food is generally strong, and I really enjoy the ambiance - both inside and out. It seems to be the only Buckhead Life restaurant within direct proximity of Lenox Square; the rest are generally southwest - closer to the Shops at Buckhead area. The food during this most recent visit was again strong, though I'll acknowledge that, to an extent, reality deviated expectations. We were told about a special dish...a ratatouille...that caught my interest. However, it should have been explicitly described as a pizza...because that's what it is. The "ratatouille" topping (essentially just tomatoes) was somewhat scarce. For the trout dish, we asked in advance to remove the butter, but the server told us it doesn't have any butter anyway. When the dish came out, it was blatantly obvious that the trout was doused in abnormal amounts of butter, so when we brought this up to the server, she went to consult with the kitchen, who informed her that there is indeed butter in the trout. She then proceeded to get us a new order of the trout without butter...which we appreciated. We also appreciated that they were able to replace side portion of that dish to our liking (substituted green beans for quinoa). The chilled gazpacho was excellent. Really enjoyed it...though $12 seems a bit on the pricy side. I enjoyed it regardless. Given the summer backdrop, we tried out their trio of sorbets. While the flavors were certainly interesting to us, they had just way too much sugar. I know that the sugar content for sorbet can be high...but this was overkill. We were unable to finish even half of that sorbet trio. I felt like I was about to suddenly contract Type 2 diabetes in a matter of minutes. All in all...I do recommend Bistro Niko, and many of the dishes are exquisite. But make sure you go in knowing (as is typically the case with French food) that this won't be a healthy meal unless you deliberately structure it as such. read more

I enjoyed everything about Bistro Niko when I was there for dinner recently. The food was delicious! I had the cajun chicken with fries...excellent! The service was great (although the hostess ignored us for about five minutes while she spoke with someone on the phone. She didn't acknowledge us, not even to say she would be with us soon. oui oui! Beautiful and quaint french restaurant nestled in the busy city of Atlanta. Absolutely stunning job decor. The second you walk in, you're transported to Paris. I came with a large party of 12 for a birthday reservation. We were seated quite quickly and the accommodations were fine. Our server was quick and efficient. According to the photos I saw here on yelp, most people received a larger portion than I. The fish was cooked perfection with a nice crispy skin. It was laid a top a bed of wilted spinach which I personally felt was saturated in too much butter. So I always pass by this place and when my bestie and I were trying to figure out a spot for brunch and we ended up here. Ok first off the decor and vibes totally made us both feel like we were in Europe! It was such a nice change especially since I've been itching to travel! Totally gave me Paris cafe vibes! We were looking for French food in Atlanta and fell in love with Bistro Niko. ⁣ Highly recommend their escargot! It comes with herb garlic butter and puff pastry. We also love their foie gras which is chilled and paired perfectly with the bread. The French onion soup was also delicious! Great onion flavor and lots of cheese. ⁣ ⁣ For entrees our favorite was the duck confit. It was crispy on the outside and meat inside was super tender and juicy. It was also flavored perfectly. Also tried the coq au vin, a traditional French dish and amazing flavors.⁣ ⁣ Overall we loved everything, would highly recommend! We started off with cocktails which were delicious then got an app of the truffle mushroom pizza. Easily could be split 2-4 ppl. Then I got the special which was a halibut w lemon caper sauce, it was excellent 10/10. Then my boyfriend got the most recommended item from the chef the scallops those were very good as well. i've been wanting to try this atlanta staple for a while but it didn't live up to expectations. the complimentary bread and butter was beyond average, which is disappointing for a french restaurant. my meal was pretty good (i got the bourguignon), but my mom's hanger steak was inedible because the meat was too tough. they did take it off the bill though, which was much appreciated. they brought over a free dessert for my birthday which was also just average. no need for me to go back! read more

The main entrance is on Tower Place Drive even though the street address is Peachtree Road. Very chic decor with a very nice bar. When I first walked in I remember thinking the interior was very red (the booths are all red). Great bread. The Coq au Vin was the best I had in recent memory and the crème brûlée was superb. Very European feel, however the service is as slow as it is in Europe as well. Would definitely go again. read more

I came here for lunch on a Thursday. First piece of advice, make sure you Valet (especially if you're already hungry). The parking garage is always full. After going through the hunger games to find a parking space. I found one, went inside and was greeted by the manager (I'm assuming). Very pleasant. I was seated immediately. There were a lot of business meetings happening over lunch. It was pretty noisy but not too loud. Seating is pretty standard; no 6 ft rule. The one thing I didn't care for is that quite a few people weren't wearing masks on the staff. But... that's the environment we live in. My waiter was honest, new, and also pleasant. He suggested the scallops as you see in the photo. Excellent choice. Also the appetizer, the smoked salmon spread was an EXCELLENT choice. Loved it. The scallops are the best I have ever had I think. The food was great! Stand out item was the salmon appetizer and the escargot. I ordered the salad with salmon substitute and it so good. The Sauvignon Blanche wine was really good, sweet. The mushroom pizza appetizer was really good, and great service. The Apple tart dessert was ok, I would definitely go for the Lindt chocolate flourless cake instead. The only "complaint" one of my friends had was that she thought there was a little too much sauce in her shrimp and grits dish. She felt that the sauce, while it tasted great, overpowered the dish and she would've liked to taste more of the grits flavor. All in all, I'd say we'll likely be back to try something else on the menu.

After clarifying with another server, they brought out the actual "Rolex" fries, which appeared to just be fries with a little parmesan and parsley on top. When she asked about it, the server responded that there was "more spinach coming." At that point, it became clear that Barney's is selling the illusion of luxury in order to justify premium prices for subpar food and service. It really was a TikTok trap after all. To make matters worse, when the check came, we were charged an additional $1.50 for eggs that already came with the meal. The explanation was that the eggs "came from the shell." Others in my party were also charged extra for liquor on top of the listed menu price for their drinks. Overall, I absolutely did not enjoy my experience here, and I will not be returning. Oh, and that other party that was visibly irritated with the wait had to wait even longer because there was a hair in their food.

The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!

Not bad at all. It'd been a while since I had french food, so one day I decided to look up a couple of nice french restaurants in the atlanta/buckhead area I could take my date out to. Honestly, out of the many choices I had, I chose this one because it had better reviews than the others on several sites. That being said, the overall experience I had was actually good. We had 6:00 reservations - and we were a little late, roughly 6:20, and they still happily accommodated us. While they walk you to your table, you actually pass the kitchen - a neat little tease because you can smell the food and see the cooks working hard to make a perfect french cuisine. Once seated, we were delighted to get an actual french waiter, but obviously not every waiter there seemed to be fluent in french or seem french at all. Not a bad thing, but certainly a plus for my experience with my waiter. I chose a wine from their decent sized selection and my date chose a beer. It was brought out soon and we were checked on just the right amount of times before and after ordering our entrees. I chose the coq au vin, which was delightful. Everything about it was deliciously on point with coq au vin I actually had in France. Either that or just the environment made me believe it. My date had their flat chicken with vinaigrette plate (can't remember the name, sorry) and she loved it. She didn't even let me try it, though she did give me her asparagus. After dinner, we had ourselves a tarty dessert. That was a good finishing touch for us. We had the lemon pie, and it was large enough for the two of us. Overall, for the wine, beer, two entrees and dessert, I was out 60 bucks without gratuity. Overall, solid 4 stars. I simply can't give it five because I found it to be extremely loud in there, even though it was only a Tuesday night. Yes, they were busy and even still happy to accommodate us despite our tardiness, but I was kind of hoping for a quieter dining room so I wouldn't have to yell at my date. Heh. I have to say that as a 1st time visitor to Niko, I was compelled by the street-facing patio highlihghted by the city lights. Very inviting and intresting-especially on a warm spring night. Very warm and friendly when we entered. We were told patio was 1st come, 1st served. Okay. Found a table and sat. Hmmm.....finally a friendly mgr greets us to see yif we've been seen. NO. He returns w/menus and assures that someone will be right w/us. OK.....a few more minutes pass. A young lady approaches to tell us some1 will be w/us again. OK-in meantime, can we please get a table wipe? She returns w/a dry linen napkin to wipe dried glass rings & traces of previous guests dibree. 4real? .....then she says "Sorry, I don't see anything." Dbl blink, squint....seriously? OMG. She's got 2 b kidding. Whatever. Finally, another server comes over 2 take our order. Very delightful. As I tried to let the pseudo table wipe go, I couldn't. The friendly mgr returns to insure that we had been seen about. Yes & thank you; but could you please have someone wipe our table? The last young lady used a dry linen. (smile) He returned w/wet towel and made us happy. Thank you. Now I can exhale all that annoyance in my brain. Finally the wine & cocktail arrive-along w/the french onion soup. & Yes, I must concurr that it was great. Very hearty and just right 4 an evening snack. Thanks Niko Bistro. I'd def go back. Amateur hour at Bistro Niko. I hosted a graduation dinner on Saturday night. The food was poorly prepared: Fois Gras was undercooked. It fell apart when I tried to cut it. The Frisee salad had a puddle of water in the bottom of the bowl. Void of seasoning. The Duck tasted like it was boiled in water. No trace of flavor/seasoning. Limp skin. Cold veg on the side. The fish was a minuscule portion and tasted like the bottom of the Ohio River. Oh, and let's not forget what they ran out of: Skate (a signature item?). We were informed after we placed our order-- requiring a revisit to the menu to select another entree. And BREAD. Yes- a french bistro ran out of bread at 8:30 on a Saturday night. First the waiter told us that bread would be served with our salads. When that didn't happen he then told us that the bread would be out "shortly" When that didn't happen he asked if a manager had been to our table to let us know that Buckhead Life's Bistro Niko had run out of bread at peak time on a Saturday night. No manager had visited our table. A few minutes later the reception desk attendant appeared with a few pieces of a Kroger hoagie roll for the 4 of us to share. We chose this elegant French restaurant to celebrate our friend's significant career milestone. It's worth noting that our overall experience leaned more towards subpar than merely decent. Our server was slow to clear tables, and we had to request our complimentary bread, which arrived later than expected. Even our first serving of cheese puffs lacked the warmth it should have had. The restaurant wasn't overly busy, so these service lapses were disappointing. Regarding the food, we sampled a variety of dishes. The CLASSIC FRESH CHICKEN LIVER TERRINE AU COGNAC was enjoyable, though a bit more bread would have been welcome. The ESCARGOT "EN CROÛTE" made for a delightful appetizer, and the GOUGÈRES, light gruyère cheese puffs served in a basket, were truly outstanding. For the main course, I opted for the ROASTED BELLA FARMS CHICKEN "BOURGEOISE," which was a highlight of the meal. Desserts included creme brulee and rhum a baba. While the creme brulee was decent, the rhum a baba was slightly dry. Our choice of Malbec paired well with the meal and was one of the few elements that contributed positively to the overall experience. In a fine dining establishment, the service plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall impression, and in this case, it detracted significantly from what should have been an exceptional experience. read more

I just had lunch this past Friday at Bistro Niko. I was completely opposed to going because the last time I went my service was dreadful and I refused to ever return. The service was abysmal to say the least, but my friends really wanted to try it, so regardless of my opinion, I went, to let them form their own opinion. To my surprise, not only were they completely satisfied with their experience, but my faith had also been resorted. I believe our server's name was Scott. He was unbelievably amazing. I would recommend Bistro Niko to anyone, but most importantly recommend them to be seated in Scott's section. He was incredible. He was extremely charming and respectful. He got each of our orders perfect, which is important to me because I am picky as well as the fact that I have some severe allergies. He seemed to be busy but never made us wait at all. I was impressed by both the food and his quality of service. Scott thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for giving myself and my friends ,who came from out-of-town by the way, a brilliant lunch out together. It's all about execution in most restaurants but it's especially true in French classical cuisine. Date night with the wife had us ordering several appetizers. The entree menu just didn't jump out at us. We shared foie gras, mussels, French onion soup, steak tartare and their signature pork belly. Everything was excellent except for the pork belly. The pork was over powered with salt so the flavor profile of the entire plate was overshadowed. I think we would have been happy with 6 plates of the foie. It was done with precision so it was nice to have a place that didn't screw it up. Mussels were prepared "proper" instead of some overzealous rendition that always falls short of the simplicity mark. You can't go wrong by ordering the the soup either. Overall, I highly recommend this place if the menu is something you fancy. I prefer Eastern flavors but our background is French classical cuisine. Service was top notch. My only complaint is the dining room is appreciably noisy. read more

I was in Bistro Niko a week ago for my birthday and I have to tell you that it was absolutely an incredible experience. The ambiance was beautiful, warm, and extremely comfortable. But most of all, the service was incredible. My server's name was Scott and he went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful birthday dinner. He never missed a beat, was an extreme gentleman, got our orders perfectly which is extremely important to me because I have a lot of allergies and he made sure that myself and my friends were well taken care of and that our food was on point. He did not hover or act overbearing towards us. He checked on us the perfect amount of time, but also gave us our space to catch up and enjoy our night. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. Also, if you do go there, there are two things you must try: ask for Scott to be your server and try the scallops because they are amazing! read more

What a bust! My friends and I came here on Sunday to enjoy brunch on the patio. We were looking forward to a nice glass of wine, fresh food, and good atmosphere. Hardly what we bargained for.There were protesters standing outside with bullhorns, posters, etc. protesting "foie gras" (I think this is some sort of liver thing). It RUINED our time. They were loud on the bullhorns, then the restaurant people cranked up the music. We couldn't enjoy our conversation, and certainly didn't want to see banners of dying geese that the people who walking around with. The food wasn't even that good. Loved this place! The staff is very friendly! Nicky my server was so helpful with the menu and she seemed so warm! I ordered the onion soup and it was so good! I would have to say the best in town! I've had onion soup other places in Atlanta but this had a sweetness to it! It balanced the soup and it was well rounded. I also had the steak frites! Went for New Year's Eve They offered an overpriced menu that wasn't much if any different than their standard dinner menu, except for higher prices. An app of seared fois gras was cold. Both of our entrees were way undercooked and cold After cooking them further, they returned the dishes with the veg on the side colder still. Cappuccino was cold and replaced. By the time midnight rolled around the place was nearly empty. We started at 10pm thinking that dinner would be paced to end shortly after midnight. During a recent visit to the Atlanta area, Bistro Niko was recommended to me by a friend. Three of us went on a Friday night, and it was crowded and very noisy. The place was swarming with servers and managerial types, but the service was actually quite slow. I was dining with two friends, and we all decided that is was an "okay" experience but that we probably wouldn't go back again. Generally a pretty good meal. Restaurant is among the loudest in Atlanta. One needs to nearly shout to be heard. Only major gripe is the portion size of the entrees. VERY small. They try to mask the size by serving entrees on very small plates. I ordered skate. The portion was 4 to 5oz at best. The same entree at the same price at Atlanta Fish Market offers double the portion, at least. The french fries were uninteresting supermarket quality. Good creme brulee. The best classic French food AND French dining experience in Atlanta, hands down. I hadn't been in years but I took my girlfriend there for her birthday and we had such a great meal. The French Onion Soup was so full of flavor (and cheese), the mussels were both large and perfectly cooked (the broth was outstanding), and the Beef Bourguignons was rich and delicious. What a disappointment! My husband took me here for our anniversary. We were hoping for a romantic dinner with high quality food, and elegant atmosphere, and good service. Boy were we wrong! The food was "OK" at best. It was very greasy and seemed sloppily prepared. We MIGHT have been able to overlook all of this, except that the waitstaff and hostess were all so rude. Elegant place to go after work! It's located very conveniently in Buckhead on the side of the road, so you can't miss it. It's mainly a business/professional crowd that comes here, there's many office buildings around here. The space is nicely decorated, French places always do a nice job of that. It's unfortunate that in the middle of pandemic a restaurant with food as great as this one has employees that care so little about public health. Our server was excellent our food was excellent and it was disappointing to watch the manager continuously walk across the restaurant with no mask on past diners that he was putting at risk. Even though more than 70% of the patrons at this restaurant are non-white, the staff caters only to its white patrons. The captain visits every table with white people to make sure that they're OK while neglecting all others. Don't waste your money at this type of establishment and stay away. One of my go-to restaurants in Atlanta. I can always count on an excellent meal, good wine and a great atmosphere that reminds me of Paris.
