Had a big party so made reservations at the BMB - they were able to accommodate us fairly well, and the service was quite good despite the need for three large tables. They have an alcove near their little pickle station which also houses some variations on hot cucumbers, jalapeños, and hot sauces and condiments, which fit the party fairly well. Our party partook in the ribs, various Tex-mex fair, and the pulled pork and chicken dishes - all were very good although there was more than one comment about the small amounts of salsa within the meal. I've been a big fan of Bite Me since he was on Kellogg and 151st street. Coleman is a great cook and knows how to treat his customers. Unfortunately Coleman sold Bite Me earlier this year and the new owner brought changes that have lowered my pleasure of eating here. The BBQ meat is still just as good so he hasn't screwed that up, side dishes used to be served in plastic bowls that had to be washed instead of tossed in the trash... Smaller portion sizes is no doubt an effort to save money without raising prices. The potato salad is store bought, Sam's carries it and it's our go to when having grilled food at home. Beans are awesome. I ordered a burger to go and it was just a dry lump of meat on a bun, Coleman used to package them separately (but it was so dry I didn't have to worry about the bun getting soggy), Coleman also supplied vegetables (onion, lettuce, tomato) not this time. I rated it 3 stars for my recent experience: slow service, noisy and a waiter that did his best to ignore his customers. All the good help that Coleman had have left, some went to Coleman's new restaurant in Missouri, the others probably left because of the new owner. Change is not always good. Friendly, attentive and interested in knowing how we enjoyed our visit. The burnt ends were dry and lacked flavor. The bake beans too spicy and I actually like spicy foods. My wife ordered the smoked prime rib sandwich, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich Both were absolutely incredible! Moist, flavorful, sweet hickory flavor that is second to none. Food was served hot and relatively fast. Side dishes were also very, very good. I wish I had a BBQ restaurant like this near me in Southern California. If I could give this zero stars, I would. After an issue with Postmates, that was solved, I was lied to by the manager, Frank. Frank told me that food that I ordered and paid for would be made and delivered to me personally, instead of through Postmates. After over an hour, I called to be told that Frank left for the day and that nothing could be done to refund me or help my issue. No respect for the customers. I cannot count how many times I've been to Bite Me BBQ. Every single time I walk through the front door, I'm greeted with friendly hello and a big smile. The customer service is the best, very attentive and knowledgeable. I've never met the chef personally . I feel as if I have through his/hers food. If the chef ever needs their house painted. Just a short walk from our hotel and right across the street from the (much better) restaurant we ate the night before, we decided to have a go. What a bland offering, the spare ribs (not a smoky flavor) and just barely worth mentioning, a rather bland dish of sweet potato fries and the only positive portion was the Mac and cheese. Wow. The prime rib on Friday & Saturday nights is incredible. Don't assume the small cut is small. Don't assume the large cut is something you can eat in one sitting. The beer's served cold, the waitstaff is friendly and the wait line never seems to last as long as they say. If you're not in Fri/Sat or into prime rib, try the ribs, BBQ nachos (as app or entree) or the brisket. My husband's also a fan of the relish bar and wants me to again let you know the beer's served cold. read more

We ordered the 3 meat plate with ribs which had hot links, potato salad, ribs, smoked turkey and brisket. The only think I wasn't a fan of was the ribs. However on the pull apart it was very tough. The taste had a good flavor with just enough smoke flavor just tough. The sides were good had pasta salad, everyone makes it different so if you like little pieces of broccoli in it then it's for you, but it is tasty. The baked beans was delicious to with pieces of chopped brisket in them a little to sweet from the bbq sauce for my flavor but they were good. They had 4 types of bbq sauce to choose from, Carolina style which has a vinegar base (not bad but a little to loose for me, a mild sauce which was more sweet, spicy was as the same as the mild with just a little kick on the end of the tongue on the finish, and the extra spicy which tasted just about like the "spicy". We lived in Dallas and do road trip from there to South Dakota, so we stopped by here for having lunch. We plan to finish the food here. We don't want to bring them along with us, so we decide to order 2 entrees , one salad and some of side appetizers for 5 people. However, when we received the bill. They put additional charge for extra plates($2 per plate). This is the first time in U.S. that we get robbed by restaurant. (Wonder why this restaurant have 4 stars) Moreover, we tipped server by cash($10), but we found out later that they put mandatory gratitude fee into our bill.(we came there only 5 members, but they put into the POS system 6 members, then gratitude fee shown up) Won't come back again read more
