I don't like to make bad reviews but I feel like I had to write this one. I created my own sandwich and I asked for extra onions. When they gave me my sandwich, it felt pretty light. I ordered it with bacon (they charge extra), it had an almost funny small amount. I ordered it with cheese, which I never tasted and they had forgotten about the onions. I ordered to go and I ate it on my way to the bus stop. When I realized my sandwich was missing the onions, I walked back to get them. They added 2 fine slices to it, fine fine slices. So they have really too many sandwiches. The wall of recipes shows more than 50 sandwiches closer to 60 . One not that much different than the next. So I ordered a Ike who which is close to the San Francisco one. They are all interesting. The sandwich makers are very sweet and helpful. They offer drinks an a whole ton of chips which I never do. A friend and I were walking by going to another sandwich spot when we seen Bite me. We thought let's try something we haven't. So we looked at their menu posted on the window and I was like okay this sounds good. They have so many options on the menu. When you go inside they also have hand written choices under the menu as well. The guy working immediately said what can I get you. I ordered paid and had the sandwich in less than 3 minutes. SO FAST! We took the sandwiches and headed to conservatory of flowers and enjoyed them. The bread is delicious, I got the sweet roll and it's the perfect texture. Nicely located in the Haight, it's a great place for fresh and delicious bites that can be an easy grab-and-go. I've heard it gets busy, but luckily my friend and I were able to go on a slow Sunday afternoon for lunch. There's so many options to choose from on their menu, I enjoyed reading them especially with the cute names they have for their sandwiches. I ended up creating my own sandwich, with Salami as my protein and adding Pesto in addition to all the ingredients that come with the sandwich. You can tell they thoroughly prepare their sandwiches to make sure it comes out consistent and good, I was very impressed and enjoyed my sandwich! Nice corner sandwich shop in Haight-Ashbury. The sandwiches are decently hefty. I really enjoyed my sandwich and I liked the options for sandwiches here. The shop is bright. There is not a ton of seating. I think most people take their sandwiches to-go from here. The service was okay. But the wait to receive my food was so long when I came here. The store looked almost empty with only one customer eating there but they had a ton of take away orders or delivery orders. I feel like delivery or takeaway might be the way to go here. Being from the Midwest, I was not familiar with this type of bread. I loved it! I thought my sandwich was literally the best sandwich I've ever had in my life. It was fresh, filling, and fantastic. Normally, I would not like to eat as much as I did, but that sandwich made me pack on a couple pounds that day! It was such a great experience for the five of us and we would like to thank them.
