Various caviar tins that they have tastings with and sell

We came here on a work team building exercise after work. Located in the Arts district, this is as people say a hidden gem of Las Vegas. The owner and his serving staff are superb. The owner takes great passion in producing this sustainable caviar or sturgeon caviar and numerous varieties of caviar. We had a number of small plates for appetizers and tasted an array of various caviar that are fresh, sustainable, slightly bite mouthfeel with the salinity and mouthfeel of premium sturgeon caviar. The Hamachi sashimi with the sturgeon caviar and crispy shallots or leeks was so fresh and superb, we also had some heirloom tomato salad paired with caviar, and other caviar tastings. The owner goes through the entire process that they use for all of their caviar and the various process, systems, and his passion shows in his quality of products that they offer in their tastings and for sale. Our team was thoroughly impressed as I was; we will be back.

My friend and I stopped inside the other day to check this place out! We were helped but an amazing passionate young man who guided us to the perfect caviar bump. I have been on caviar wave lately and this caviar was DELICIOUS. There were many options to choose from and he opened a whole tin to show us nice presentation. It was affordable and some farmed in spain and other places around the world. We will be back to order for girls night! He was so knowledgeable as well! Loved it!

Bjork Caviar puzzled me long before it opened on Main Street. Firstly, while the Arts District has cleaned up a bit, it's still dominated by grungy craft bars, antique/junk emporiums, second-hand clothing stores, and auto body shops. Caviar is quite an odd fit with those surroundings. Secondly, once it did open, the hours seemed weird, closing at 4pm except Sundays (closed, not weird), and on 2pm on Saturdays (very weird). Thirdly, it's classified as a grocery store, which also does caviar tastings, booked through its website. So when Bjork popped up as an option for Restaurant Week, I had to try it. For science. Three courses, set menu, $100 plus tax. Appetizer Hamachi Sashimi & Belgian Oscietra: Thoughtful pretty presentation with balanced ingredients. Subtle brinyness from the caviar with sweet popping trout roe for contrast. Fish pieces clean and fresh. Main Linguine & Spanish Baerii: Heaping helping of creamy caviar. Bacon at good salt/fat crunchy doneness. Pasta al dente. Dessert White Chocolate & Yunnan Kaluga Hybrid: Another generous portion of caviar, mellow nuttiness pairing very well with the smooth creamy panna cotta and crunchy topping. My favorite of the three courses. Value: Depends upon how much you like caviar. Atmosphere: Cozy bright parlor of an eccentric aunt, with a squishy green loveseat paired with pop art of hundred dollar bills. For the restaurant experience the floor was taken over by the white wood table, topped with flowers, paper napkins, and IKEA flatware. Music was covers sung by Tom Jones. Service: Very nice from the owners. etc - No liquor license yet. Bjork Caviar is apparently one of the places extending its Restaurant Week run, going through 20 June.

If anyone would have told me a year ago I would be writing a review on a Whiskey tasting....I would…read morehave told them they'd lost their vertical hold! But over the last year, I have discovered I like the taste of whiskey! Call it age....call it a more advanced palate....whatever you call it....mama likes! I never want to do things without educating myself, so what is a lady to do? Go to a class of course! Seriously....if I could have taken these classes in college....I would have been class Valedictorian! First of all JD was so accommodating, we had a change in our schedule and he came in on an unscheduled night so we could have the class before leaving early the next morning. The Whiskey Attic is located about a 10 minute drive off the strip in a quiet more industrial area. I like to point these things out because I like to know what to expect when driving to unknown areas. We took an Uber and it was easy to get a car to and from the location. JD greeted us at the door and right away we picked up on his brilliance about everything from sports, history and Whiskey of course! Because we were the only two there for this course it was a nice date night but honestly this would have been fun to do as a party, business ice breaker, or just something different. We did the introduction course, and not only did we learn about whiskey but wines, beers, anything you could want to know. And because The Whiskey Attic isn't trying to sell you product, you get to learn about all varieties, countries, and regions without being pushed to a particular brand. JD walked us through how to taste whiskey and how to drink it! After our class, JD asked us a series of questions and chose a selection of 6 brands he though we would like (the place is beautifully full of whiskey and JD knows where every bottle is) and we commenced tasting his selections! He nailed my tastes down to a tee and I enjoyed every one of the sample! We definitely want to go to the more advanced class next time we are in Las Vegas. I feel much more confident about ordering whiskey when I am out and about knowing what I like because of this class! Loved meeting JD and am looking forward to our next visit!

From the start, Jahlisa was professional and quick to respond. Her pricing is fair and she worked with me and my mom to figure out how many people to account for as it can get tricky when prepping for an open bar at a casual backyard event like this. They have their own bar cart and there were different ones to choose from. She offered to make a signature drinks menu but I created one on my own through Etsy. The set up was so cute! During the event, Jahlissa and her colleague were super fun and sweet to talk to and I got the same feedback from more than a few guests. I was surprised at how attentive they were to not only me as the bride but to my guests as well. They walked around and made sure everyone had a drink if they wanted one, it made the whole event feel even more upscale. And of course, the drinks were perfect and exactly what I had hoped for! I would highly recommend MixxieMixologist to anyone looking for a mixologist who is professional and wants to make sure your event goes smoothly!

Jo and her assistant arrived early and transformed the space into a beautiful setup for six of us. They brought all the tools, ingredients, glassware and even individual charcuterie boxes for each person. We made two specialty cocktails, then had a friendly competition creating our own drink with the ingredients provided. They kept the energy upbeat with fun games and just the right balance of instruction and laughter. They surprised us with bottled water and hangover kits, which was such a thoughtful touch. The setup looked amazing (the decorations were mine, but their presentation really pulled everything together). Everyone had a blast and my husband enjoyed it. If you're looking for something interactive, classy and fun, I can't recommend Mixxie Mixologist enough. Jahlisa and her team truly made the night unforgettable.

We've now come to this location a few times because it's the only decent restaurant near my…read morehusband's workplace. It's always pretty busy during the lunch. But you don't have to actually wait much for a table because most people are getting takeout. You can tell a lot of working people come to this location to eat. The service is fine but you can tell they are still learning because they sometimes make mistakes on your order so make sure you check the bill when you get it before you pay it. If they make a mistake, they can pay you cash back if you use the card to pay. There is a manager on site that knows how to do everything. It's just a hassle sometimes Mistakes. And mistakes have happened at least twice when we've gone there but we know they're learning so we are pretty understanding. The location is really clean. The bathroom is also really clean so it's a nice comfortable place to eat with kids but there are no kids menus or anything so bring something to keep your kids entertained if you go here and make sure you check the menu to see if there's something your kids will eat. My kids actually don't need anything on the menu so I bring them box lunches and my husband and I eat from the menu. The only thing they eat is a french fries. We've ordered the chicken sandwiches, the pasta, the grilled cheese and the salad. All the food is normal food nothing amazing but the prices are pretty good for the larger meals. The portions sizes are pretty good as well. If you're getting a salad, I'd recommend just getting the big salad because it's a little bit larger than side salad , but the quality of the food overall has been pretty good for the price. You can also upgrade it for three dollars and you'll get a drink plus some french fries. We recommend this place if you're in the area and you're craving some American food. FYI it's called the West bistro so if you put in the culinary Academy on your GPS you would have to look for the actual restaurant which is in the school.

This is a 3-hour class that did not have enough time to allow the croissants to proof - when I saw that I gave up. I was looking forward to enjoying crunchy, buttery, savory and sweet croissants. This was basically how not to finish your croissants at home - don't let them proof enough. If you can't do that in the time frame make the class longer, warm up the kitchen or don't teach it. If the instructor had paid attention - a little skill building on how to roll out dough would have been helpful. Rolling dough and butter for the lamination is a thing - rectangles, smooth, even thickness, not too much flour. Well our group of 4 knew none of that. Yet the instructor just carried on. She did give a great tip to get your butter the right size so you can make your dough fit the butter. But didn't make up for all the work ending in croissants that never rose/proofed before baking. Three hours, 2 -15 min breaks for unproofed ham and cheese and cinnamon rolls. She showed us how to roll out, cut and roll up the classic croissant - one mini and moved on. Honestly class would have been better getting to a classic, well proofed croissant and looked a lot better than the flat squares and cinnamon rolls. Disappointed was looking forward to 144 layers of buttery croissant.
