The brussel sprouts came without the siracha sauce and the server tried to tell me that there was another side that was just plain Brussel sprouts; I did NOT see that anywhere on the menu as an option but regardless they were NOT appetizing. The pork was dry. The mash potatoes were delicious and the best part of my meal. My sister got this shrimp pasta that was the best meal on the table for sure. My grandma got the fish n chips and I would say the fries were delicious! I will still come to eat here but expect your typical American chain restaurant. I love BJ's food but I am very disappointed with my time at this location in Cary. Our waiter, Gabe, was not helpful! We saw him maybe 3 times, once to place our whole order all together because he took so long, to bring us our food and give us our check. Not to mention we had to pay at the to go station which was totally okay but they completely messed up the bill. Charged me way more than what it was supposed to. Finally when they fixed it the manager decided to tell me I should add tip to the already included gratuity! BJ's is one of my favorite chains. While it is a chain the quality of food is not compromised. The food taste fresh and not microwaved like some other chains. For the amount of food you get the price is perfect and they have great happy hour and weekday food specials. The bar area is the perfect place to enjoy your favorite sports. I have had the fish tacos, burgers, pizza, and flat breads and enjoyed it all. The sweet and spicy chicken and pineapple pizza was amazing. I have never liked pineapple on pizza but BJ's have convinced me that it can be good especially paired with jalapeños! (Monday is half priced large pizzas and flatbreads) Since it is a brewhouse you must try some of their beers. Upon entry, we were met with a greasy host, not only a greasy host, but a greasy host who was willing to lie about the seating arrangements. I noticed that there were two sets of couples sitting at the large booths and when I requested to also sit at one of the large tables on account of me being a large man I was denied and told that they weren't allowed to seat people in that section. To which I responded "but my friend I'm observing two different couples sitting at these tables as we speak" I was not provided a satisfactory explanation. Once we were provided with a server, he was very pleasant. I explained my situation and he gave me a plausible but satisfying explanation as to why we could not sit at the larger table. He then provided us with a different booth that was not the one I requested, but had a larger table of a nice size so that I could sit comfortably. Following that petty little fiasco, we ordered an appetizer which came out promptly and was quite delectable, but the problem there in lies with the new server. You would think upon receiving finger foods that you'd be provided napkins, but that was not the case. We made a mess in our hands and could not even clean it. I had to request napkins at some point afterwards. It's like she was rushing and not hearing anything we had to say I'd make a request and have to repeat it because by the time I got half of what I had to say out of my mouth, she was already running away to somewhere and not showing back up for an extended period of time. All of these transgressions could be forgiven, but the ultimate problem I faced was the cluttering of my table. Is it not the basic duty of a waitress or waiter to remove items from the table once they've been finished? My table consisted of 3 to 4 empty cups of ice, one tray of chicken bones and an empty pizza pan and empty two small plates,a semi empty large plate for which we requested a to go box and didn't receive for quite a long time, I also requested one final Dr Pepper, that I never received. The problems we had wouldn't have been such a big deal. Had we not observed our waitress passing by us multiple times as a matter, fact, not passing by us almost avoiding us she would show up to the tables behind us up to the tables in front of us, I'd have to Very obnoxiously flag her down to receive anything and when I'm trying to enjoy my meal why should I have to stop every time I need something and attempt to find my waitress? Long story long my gf and I will likely not return, Carolina Alehouse is right next-door with better food and much better service in my experience. A family dinner this week here was a treat for everyone. We were seated right away, as we came near 5:00 during the week. Our waitress was very kind, professional and attentive. Her name was turned around, so could not see her name. We all had sweet tea, but would not order again. It tasted..."off"...not sure what was wrong, but oh well. The loaded nacho's were as good as last time we were here...we always get it with the chili but you can get it with chicken too. A huge platter to share, can feed a lot of folks. One of us got the tuna salad and was pleased with it, but accidentally got into some wasabi that was on the side....she would order that again but tell them to hold the wasabi. I got the shrimp scampi. It was hot, had a good amount of shrimp and tasted good. Lots of oil and butter, good amount of cheese too. Nice portion, I took some of it home. I also had a side house salad with blue cheese dressing. Was not worth the high price for a side salad, but was good. Will not order that again. Our child got the chicken tenders with fries and loved the honey mustard sauce that came with it....and he is a picky eater. We did not get the cookie dessert this time, but did last time and it was served warm with ice cream and was very good. This is a large place with a large bar area, but the other seating is huge too. Pleasantly surprised by BJ's! I've never been to a BJ's but my husband used to frequent one all the time when he lived in Dallas. I think where they excel is their extensive beers available on tap! Definitely stands out amongst the sports bar/restaurant American chains.. We got a classic pizza and the spinach stuffed mushrooms. Both were pretty good! Although the classic pizza crust is very reminiscent of...Pizza Hut...in that it's pan baked or whatever so its quite oily on the bottom. Not sure how I feel about paying much more for a Pizza Hut doppelgänger. I wish we got to try the famous pizookie but we were both too full so we'll just have to come back. read more

It took me 10 years of living in the Cary area to finally visit BJs restaurant. The experience was a bit subpar. It wasn't terrible, just really unorganized with a few weird happenings sprinkled in. After sitting at the table for an hour we had only received our drinks, not our salads. Our waitress was really nice but very green. In my opinion, she should have partnered with a more experienced waitress who could assist or direct her. I think our waitress lack of experience and the slowness of the kitchen definitely made last night a below average dining experience. However, when we finally received our meal, after waiting 1.5 hours, it was pretty good. I hate to make a decision to not return based on one visit; I think we may go back one more time. Weird happenings: There are dozens of stores/restaurants around with large light pots in the parking areas directly next to BJs. But eerily, BJs light posts had been disconnected. It was weird and dark and felt unsafe. There was an ambulance summoned to the BJs parking lot by a previous patron who was already in their car. But the ambulance wouldn't leave before they could speak to the restaurant manager. Manager had nothing to do with the person who called the ambulance so it was weird. The ambulance lights were flashing through the restaurant windows for almost 2 hours. Hostess sat at us one booth but said she would "be right back" because there were dozens of booths that were larger and moreover, our preference. She disappeared. Like never came back. Back to the creepy very dark parking lot. Walking to our car the was one lone parked car with it's hazard lights flashing. No one was in the car but the door was open. I wonder if it was the customers car that called the ambulance. It was just weird and our only source of light. read more

Unfortunately one of them is a Patriots fan but she's very attentive and makes the guests feel extra cared for and comfortable. She even put the sound of the game for me before. Urgh I absolutely hate leaving a bad review because I am very well aware that some days a business is off... but I should have read the reviews prior to going. I'll start off by saying I am gluten free and BJ's is known for their amazing GF menu. My hubby and children have dined here and say it's great. So, I walked in with all of these positives in mind. I ordered a margarita, a gluten free cheeseburger, l,t,o,p with Mayo, and a wedge salad as my side since the fries here are not safe for celiacs. Wedge salad was great! My daughter ordered the chicken bowl and a strawberry and vodka drink. My drink was straight tequila. My cheeseburger was a hamburger with lettuce tomato and pickle... nothing else. The waitress, let's call her houdini, was no where to be found. And when she did come by it was to tables near us where she wouldn't even look in our direction. She was actually our second waitress as there was some mishap with the table assignment I believe. We had looked out for her because my daughter needed condiments for her meal and I wanted cheese, onions and Mayo for my burger. After a long time, She finally came by and asked how our food was. I said I need lime juice for my drink, and that my burger was plain and not what I ordered. It was dry and not a cheeseburger. She turned to my daughter and asked if she needed a box. I said I needed a box too. I figured I would just add toppings when I got home. She then, shockingly, asked if we wanted to order a dessert. I said no just the check. We just wanted to go at that point. She never once asked me if she could throw cheese on my burger or do anything to make my one bite burger better. She didn't even ask if I wanted to speak to a manager. In fact she smiled, walked away for a second, came back and gave me a $70 bill with a side of lime juice and walked by saying to let her know if the online payment didn't work. We didn't see her again. I didn't see a manager around... and I would not have complained because if they were trained properly, I would have had a better experience. I will not eat here again. A go to restaurant for me! I have been to this restaurant a few times over the last year. When I'm feeling in the mood for a wedge salad- this is my go to place! They have a delicious wedge salad! We decided to visit this restaurant on Monther's Day weekend. I usually don't go out shopping or eating on a holiday weekend because I don't like crowds, but I really wanted the wedge salad. We went on Saturday. To my surprise, there was no wait! Also, the hostess noticed I was limping some ( recovering from ACL surgery) and she seated us close to the door. We sat down and the waitress brought me an empty wine glass. Although the wine glass wasn't explained, I saw a lot of other women leaving with it, so I assumed it was a free gift for Mother's Day. I don't drink, but the glass was cute and I was excited for my gift. I am not a mother to a human child, but I am a dog mom! Anyway, service was fantastic, salad was great, and the boneless wings were delicious. In fact, the boneless wings had the perfect amount of sauce. I believe it was roughly 1 pound of boneless wings, and that was more than enough. I took most of them home and reheated them in my air fryer for lunch the next day. I love the vibe here although it can get pretty loud sometimes. We have been back quite a few times now and I haven't had a bad meal or experience yet. Huge menu! We are still working down the menu list but this is a nice change than the typical American place we eat at down the road. The beer is reasonably priced and it's a nice variety. For food.. they have pizzas, burgers, salads, pasta, wings, you name it and they probably have it. Depending on what you get it is a little bit pricier than what I am used to but you get a LOT of food. The food has never been AMAZING for 5 stars and I'm also very picky with my five stars but it is definitely good food and worth checking out. read more

My husband gave me a bite of his chicken parm...and I wouldn't even know that is was chicken parm if he didn't tell me. It was soooo salty and I love salty but this was just yuck. I have gone to BJ's twice in the last week. One experience was stellar, ONLY because our waitress Heather was AMAZING and so funny. She made sure our experience was as phenomenal as it could be. However, her manager made it difficult. My friend gave Heather her ID because she was ordering an alcoholic drink. Totally understandable. But the manager is highkey racist because he couldn't tell the difference between my two black friends, when they are two COMPLETELY different skin tones. He came over and asked "ok which one are you?" while looking at both of my black friends. Trust me, they're not hard to tell apart at all. He was just a bigot. Heather made the rest of our experience phenomenal by making jokes with us, making sure our food was great, etc. We loved Heather. The second day we went, it was about a week later, on a Tuesday night when pizookies are $3. We ordered pizookies and they apparently dropped one of my friends' pizookies and offered her anything on the menu that she'd like. So we ordered chicken strips. Our waiter later comes over to tell us his manager, the same racist manager, won't honor the chicken strips for free. I was extremely frustrated by that because if you are offered anything on the menu for free, you should get it free. A manager can not and should not change their mind like that. I would not recommend this location unless your waitress is Heather, who seems to be the only person in that place with a personality or any semblance of how to effectively run a business. The manager is racist and unapologetic and will not be seeing my business unless I get Heather as my waitress every time. I have attached a picture of my pizookie though, which was delicious. Located near the old Golden Corral, BJ's offers up a huge selection of sandwiches, burgers, plates and pan pizza for Caryites! I've stopped in twice and had a good BBQ brisket burger along with an excellent pizza. Decor at BJ's is modern and open, there's one large dining room with an enclosed "patio" area for more sunlight. It can work for a date, small group or family meal but not as well for large groups. Service is the achilles heel here at BJ's. The servers are a bit inexperienced and they deliver a mixed experience for your meal. But they are trying! So 3 stars for BJ's right now but I may change my mind after trying their signature Pizookie dessert some day.... read more

I've been eating Keto for over a year and have not only lost over 100lbs., but no longer suffer from Diabetes, high-cholesterol or high blood pressure. And it was great to see so many low-carb options on the menu. I did cheat by ordering a full rack of Ribs, which were absolutely wonderful, but ordered the Steamed Broccoli with extra butter, and the Turmeric Roasted Cauliflower.. a "premium side", costing an extra $1.85, and worth every penny, Delish ! We came here on Veterans Day, after being turned away from another restaurant. We called ahead to see if we could make a quick reservation and glad we did as we were seated within 5 minutes even though others were waiting before us. The place was packed but service didn't suffer. As we had our 3 yo granddaughter with us, we put her order in first and was very satisfied that her order came out with our appetizer of crispy fried artichoke hearts. These are wonderful and I highly recommend them. Their menu reminds me of Cheesecake Factory. Pages and pages of seemingly everything. Literally something for everyone. I opted for a Cobb salad minus the egg, bacon and blue cheese. It was so tremendous, I only made a small dent in it. It was supposed to have an avocado dressing, but looked more like ranch. I appreciate that all items on their menu have calories listed. Portion sizes are more than adequate. Lots of leftovers. Even the kids Mac n cheese was huge. Mom went with a mimosa, I would not recommend since it was almost $9 (there are too many brunch spots around with mimosa deals) I decided to try the beers that they brew so I ordered two flights. The beers were okay, if I had to pick a favorite it would be the Harvest Hefeweizen. -Flight 1: Blonde, Harvest Hefeweizen, Jeremiah Red Ale and a Bourbon Barrel Stout -Flight 2: IPA, Piranha Pale Ale, PM Porter and Tatonka Stout For food.. We decided to split the Ahi Poke, Chicken Pot Stickers and Spinach Stuffed Mushrooms. All of the food was good but nothing was great. The Ahi Poke did not have enough avocado in it and the dumpling was too thick on the pot stickers. And, the food took forever to come out but I thought that our server did a great job taking care of us. The space itself is huge and a good spot if you want to check out a game. On the way from the bank heading home I decided to make BJ's a stop for food. Once I came in and was seated. I noticed it was practically empty. I ordered the ahi salad and desert. My waiter went to put in the order. A few minutes later he came out and let me know that the salad and dessert was unable to be prepared because staff was short and they were a little "picky" about what they were making. It's like 5pm on a Monday. So I ordered the only salad that was available and that was a house salad. Couldn't wait for their opening !! We were immediately seated on a Wed evening. After glancing at the menu we decided we wanted to try the specials that were only available in the bar seating area. We switched over to the bar. Our waitress was fabulous !! She explained all of their "brewery" beers and mentioned that they were all $4. (NOT the Octobefest). The beer was very good. We tried the boneless wings (buffalo style) and the California Flatbread. Both were delicious. If you are going to go here and eat/drink be sure and download their APP. I downloaded while we were there and we got a FREE Pizookie (it was a small one). This dessert is like "what" !!!!!!! It's so good !!!! I gave the server my card to go ahead and pay and had them bring a to-go box. I wolfed my food down and my son boxed his pizza up halfway through because we had to leave at 1:45 to arrive at his appointment in time. I guess I shouldn't have expected 45 minutes to be enough time for lunch? I'd expect it to be very busy at noon but it wasn't busy after the lunch rush. If you're thinking about going here, please don't. I haven't written a 1 star review in 4 months and ugh I really had to. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star review. I have been to this location multiple times now. The first few times I went, I enjoyed their food and the atmosphere. Hence why I asked my friends to drive 50 minutes to have dinner with me tonight. From the moment I got there until I left it was horrible. The hostess tried to sit us at a booth and one of my friends is pregnant about to pop. When asked to get a table instead, said "oh I didn't even know you are pregnant". Really. She's due in a few weeks and you can see her from a mile away. Anyways, when we were sat, our server took our drink orders and didn't come back for over 10 minutes. By the time he brought out our drinks, we were ready to order however as soon as he gave us our drinks, he left without saying anything. He did not come back for another 10 minutes and was nowhere to be found. He finally came back and took our order and the food came out within 20 minutes or so. But our server never came back to refill our drinks, there were three of us and we were only given to silverware, our server never came back to check on us and to top everything, I found hair in my burger. We got our food over an hour after we were initially sat, I was hungry and to find hair in my burger, I was so annoyed. By the time I was able to get my server's attention, my friends were almost done eating. He apologized and asked if I wanted another or anything else. But I refused because my friends were done eating at that point and I just wanted to leave. He said he will remove my order from our bill (Like I was gonna pay for the food anyways) and he will bring the manager over. (But why?) He came over and basically said the exact same thing. We wanted to go ahead and get our check but again, server nowhere to be found. We got our check 10 min later. My friend asked for military discount and was told they need manager approval, which took even longer for us to get our check. I've never received such terrible service in the triangle area before. We were kinda "forced" to stay there for 2 hours due to their slow service. I wish I would've chosen a different place to enjoy my Friday night with my friends that I haven't seen for half a year. Personally, I'd never come back again because of the horrendous service that I received today. *One thing that really annoys me is that they offer military discount but they don't. We've been here quite a few times and sometimes they give you 10% off, sometimes they tell you to come back on Veteran's Day. To be our first time I liked that they were having social distancing at the tables, the workers all had masks the place was clean, also to look at the menu you could do it by scanning the code that is on the table the food was good, I ordered one Santafe salad the only thing I didn't like in the salad is that the little avocado it had was dark, we also ordered pork chop with mash potatos, it's delicious but the asparagus was a bit dry, the glutten free dessert was very good ... they don't offer Coca cola products only from pepsi products , but they have a large variety of beer and cocktails and a very extensive menu, I hope my comment will help you. read more

There are so many good food options here. There's really something for everyone to chose from. I ordered a burger with fried chicken instead. It was fried perfectly. I also had the bacon jam boneless wings which were so delicious. Lastly I ended with a free pizookie (chocolate chunk) which was salty and sweet somehow and topped with vanilla ice cream. Horrible service. Actively will not return. The food took over an hour and a half to come out from the kitchen. The server visited the table 3x in two hours. Due to an allergy we asked if one of the items could be made without a certain ingredient. They did not say and said they thought they could. They then proceeded to not bring the food out for another 90min and then served the food with the allergen and said oh sorry they couldn't take out the item. They then said they couldn't make another item in a short span and it would take another 90 min. We requested the sauces that came with an item and was dismissed by one server telling us "ask ur server" and then the manager corrected us. The manager did not attempt to remedy the situation or offer to compensate anything. The manager did not apologize and said she also would not order a replacement meal. Our drinks were also spilled and our waters were not refilled and we ran out of water. When paying one person was charged for everything and everyone else got an error code. We went for the pizookie and wasn't even able to order it because of the time it would take. The spinach dip was also very small for about 15$ it was about 5$ worth of dip with way too many chips which were unsalted and unflavorful. Very overpriced, with just a side and a drink almost 20$!! Think twice before coming here! The ambience was overwhelming and we were surrounded by screaming children. Would have spent the 2hrs we were contained in there ANYWHERRE ELSE! read more
