If you're thinking about going here, please don't. I haven't written a 1 star review in 4 months and ugh I really had to. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star review. I have been to this location multiple times now. The first few times I went, I enjoyed their food and the atmosphere. Hence why I asked my friends to drive 50 minutes to have dinner with me tonight. From the moment I got there until I left it was horrible. The hostess tried to sit us at a booth and one of my friends is pregnant about to pop. When asked to get a table instead, said "oh I didn't even know you are pregnant". Really. She's due in a few weeks and you can see her from a mile away. Anyways, when we were sat, our server took our drink orders and didn't come back for over 10 minutes. By the time he brought out our drinks, we were ready to order however as soon as he gave us our drinks, he left without saying anything. He did not come back for another 10 minutes and was nowhere to be found. He finally came back and took our order and the food came out within 20 minutes or so. But our server never came back to refill our drinks, there were three of us and we were only given to silverware, our server never came back to check on us and to top everything, I found hair in my burger. We got our food over an hour after we were initially sat, I was hungry and to find hair in my burger, I was so annoyed. By the time I was able to get my server's attention, my friends were almost done eating. He apologized and asked if I wanted another or anything else. But I refused because my friends were done eating at that point and I just wanted to leave. He said he will remove my order from our bill (Like I was gonna pay for the food anyways) and he will bring the manager over. (But why?) He came over and basically said the exact same thing. We wanted to go ahead and get our check but again, server nowhere to be found. We got our check 10 min later. My friend asked for military discount and was told they need manager approval, which took even longer for us to get our check. I've never received such terrible service in the triangle area before. We were kinda "forced" to stay there for 2 hours due to their slow service. I wish I would've chosen a different place to enjoy my Friday night with my friends that I haven't seen for half a year. Personally, I'd never come back again because of the horrendous service that I received today. *One thing that really annoys me is that they offer military discount but they don't. We've been here quite a few times and sometimes they give you 10% off, sometimes they tell you to come back on Veteran's Day. I wish they would train all their servers so people aren't told different things on different days. read more

First time here as we were having a hard time deciding on a busy Saturday night were we could go and not wait for an hour. The menu has lots on it to choose from and the food is good overall!. Fish and Chips was excellent. Daughter had a good burger and I had the prime rib special. Not the best Prime Rib, but not horrible and it came with the cookie ice cream thing. There are so many good food options here. There's really something for everyone to chose from. I ordered a burger with fried chicken instead. It was fried perfectly. I also had the bacon jam boneless wings which were so delicious. Lastly I ended with a free pizookie (chocolate chunk) which was salty and sweet somehow and topped with vanilla ice cream. It was a lazy Sunday and we just weren't in the mood to make dinner. BJ's Restaurant had always been on my list of places to checkout but I always pushed it off due to the plethora of average reviews. To my surprise, the experience was actually very enjoyable, and I recommend folks check it out to be their own judge. The restaurant space is quite large and was bustling with families grabbing dinner. Everything was clean and staff was amicable. We were seated within a few minutes. Our dining started with a Chicken Pot Stickers appetizer and a Grilled Chicken kids meal for my son. He loved his meal, but the pot stickers appetizer left something to be desired. The flavor was lacking and could really use some spice. For our main course we shared a Deep Dish Veggie pizza, which was an instant hit in my family. It is hard to find a decent deep dish in the Triangle, but these guys definitely make it right. It came out hot and we dug right in. Needless to say there were no leftovers. Lastly we couldn't resist a Pizookie for dessert. There were so many Pizookie options, but being our first visit we went with the original. Heaven! Go and see for yourself... read more

Horrible service. Actively will not return. The food took over an hour and a half to come out from the kitchen. The server visited the table 3x in two hours. Due to an allergy we asked if one of the items could be made without a certain ingredient. They did not say and said they thought they could. They then proceeded to not bring the food out for another 90min and then served the food with the allergen and said oh sorry they couldn't take out the item. They then said they couldn't make another item in a short span and it would take another 90 min. We requested the sauces that came with an item and was dismissed by one server telling us "ask ur server" and then the manager corrected us. The manager did not attempt to remedy the situation or offer to compensate anything. The manager did not apologize and said she also would not order a replacement meal. Our drinks were also spilled and our waters were not refilled and we ran out of water. When paying one person was charged for everything and everyone else got an error code. We went for the pizookie and wasn't even able to order it because of the time it would take. The spinach dip was also very small for about 15$ it was about 5$ worth of dip with way too many chips which were unsalted and unflavorful. Very overpriced, with just a side and a drink almost 20$!! I ordered the fried chicken sandwich it came out burnt I sent it back by time I got it back I could not eat it lost my appetite my sister ordered a apple martini and they sent her a sour apple caramel martini with a lollipop of course she didn't drink it they comp us with cake and ice cream we were nice and paid the bill but I will not visit again it was so cold the customers were complaining the wait staff was the only good thing in the restaurant read more

Specials on specials, this place has many "happy hour" specials but BAR ONLY so if coming in between the lunch in dinner hours check out the bar area. They even have a few of their own brew houses which is cool only being able to have those beers there. The menu- it can be pretty over whelming being they range from pizzas, tacos, burgers, pastas and pretty much every thing else. First thing is ask your server they always have great recommendations being they've tried many options. I enjoyed the stuffed mushrooms and fried mozzarella appetizers. Pizza was good as well, nothing crazy but was pretty good. The space- ambience is nice, not too loud, it can be for a casual drink and bite or a more a sit down dinner. Place is nice and clean and that includes that bathroom which for some reason many places have lots of struggle with keeping restrooms clean but not this place! Had dinner here for the first time. Ordered 2 gin and tonics. Charged for 4 gin and tonics. When I questioned the server, they told me it was because I had been served two doubles. This was not the case. Instead of offering to correct the issue, the server didn't know how to respond. Not once were we asked how our meal was or if we desired anything else. I realize it's COVID-19 but the Uber Eats listed BJs restaurant tavern as participant yet after placing our order tonight & waiting 40 minutes we were notified via text that our order was "not accepted by restaurant do we want to order elsewhere ?" I'm annoyed that a small local business can not afford scalable delivery with the big chains...I wanted easy delivery non-pizza night option and prefer supporting small local options but they are not on delivery vending lists. Now, we are hoping to get something delivered before 9PM on a busy Raleigh Saturday. So I decided to try this restaurant again after exactly 1year ago, I walked in during non rush hour time waited at the desk 10 mins with no acknowledgement, so I left. They are close and I am craving a steak!!!! My absolute favorite. I am acknowledged and seated quickly, my waitress was not feeling her job tonight (all over her face and body language) but I ignored because ,why because I want my steak!. I eat my steak well done, doesn't mean it has to be dry and burnt!!. Ok so as a diabetic, now I really need to eat. I couldn't even finish my meal it just was not good at all..... It is not often that my wife and I leave a restaurant and are completely happy with every aspect of our dinning experience, but this Thursday lunch at BJs was a 10+. One of the lunch specials was 1/2 rack of ribs with two sides and a Pizookie with each meal. One of the side options was clam chowder which we opted for. Instead of the typical cup of soup we were presented with a bowl of outstanding New England clam chowder. The ribs were very good and BJs actually knows how to properly prepare a baked potato. Since we couldn't eat two Pizookies, our server made one a to-go Pizookie. Speaking of our server, Courtney, she was outstanding in every way. Not a good experience. First, our 2 out of our 4 orders came out wrong. No apologies or expediting the wrong orders. My sister has to have gluten free product. Her hamburger came out with all the toppings and a special sauce that was questionable on gluten free. The hostess said she went to the cook and asked if the burger was gluten free, she said yes. Nope, my sister was sick the rest of the night due to a contaminated meal. Service was very slow , not crowded. Educate your staff on what gluten free means and how it can easily make someone ill. Im baffled as to the low amount of stars that the reviews have given BJ's Restaurant/Brewhouse. True, this is my first time yet, i was amazed by the wide variety and unique mouth watering dishes. Not only was the "food" menu a treat to flip through but, the full list of craft beers. Another plus, they pair the beer and menu items for you; as well as dessert. . My server Steven, was most helpful and very knowledgeable about all the items offered; food & drink. Loved the atmosphere!!! The entire place was clean and shiny which always rates high in my standards. I can only speak for the one In Cary, NC but, i for one....will be back many many times. We went with a group of six. Busy place but host staff welcomed us with smiles. The wings were good, nothing out of this world. Beer selection was good and the Jeremiah Red was a favorite. Our server was as prompt and attentive as could be but had to apologize for the long time for our drinks. Seems this place could use another bartender when they are busy. Deep dish pizzas were good. Calamari and cauliflower appetizers were ok but nothing special. So....overall if you looking for a good place to have a beer and some food check it out... just don't expect your refills to quickly. We were seated quickly but it was next to a couple groups of kids. Extremely loud. The service was average at best. The napkin was dirty. My salmon was served over cooked and then grossly undercooked. I wasn't there for sushi. I guess the kitchen doesn't like a customer returning food. My dinner companion enjoyed the pizza so I'm giving a star for that. I visited the location in MD and I don't recall a much better experience. I have no plans to return. read more

We have had great experiences ordering delivery from here in the past. As a result, when we were in Crossroads we decided to stop in for lunch. We were seated right away and our waitress took our drink orders. Since we were quite hungry we ordered the loaded nachos. While waiting for the nachos, we looked through their large menu book. They have numerous options to choose from, which is nice when trying to meet preferences of a large group, but I am sure it is difficult on the kitchen. Our nachos arrived (delivered by a different employee) and were missing several ingredients. We were hungry so we started eating them. Our waitress then came by and noticed that the nachos were missing a few things. We did not really mind, but she wanted to make it right so she took the nachos back to the kitchen. They added the ingredients, she brought it back, and we put in our food orders. Their food is okay, nothing outstanding, other than the amazing pizookies. We can never decide on which one to order so we typically order the pizookie trio. Highly recommend finishing your meal by sharing a pizookie. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and would eat from here again (likely via carry out or delivery). read more

Myself and family arrived at the restaurant on 7/4. I advised the girl that I had a party of 6 she said it will be about 20-25 minute wait which we were fine with that. A larger party of 8 came in after us and she advised them the same wait time. Maybe 15 minutes went by and she called the the party of 8. At this point I'm confused because I got there first and I had a smaller party. When we approached the girl she was very confused and realized she messed up. Instead of apologizing she said wait. Wait? At this point we walked out and went to Carolina Ale house and had a great dinner. Moral of this story all companies need to make sure the person greeting your guests at the front door is properly trained in All aspects!!! PS I am brown and the other party white. Ordered delivery - my first time eating from BJ's Restaurant. Ordered a Hickory Brisket & Bacon burger and a Bacon-Guacamole Deluxe burger. Both came with fries. (Split each burger so that we could try each.) The bread used for the burgers was very bland, definitely nothing I'd really want to come back for, the burger also was on the generic side - meat wasn't bad but just nothing to write home about. The flavor added the brisket & bacon burger was the best part. The bacon-guacamole burger had substantial heat but not much flavor outside of the bacon which was unfortunate. The fries also were generic and nothing remarkable. I might try going back for something other than a burger one day, but not feeling entirely enticed at this moment sadly. $40 for two burgers and fries that left me feeling this way is definitely not going to have me rushing back. read more

I was in Cary and thought I would try some place new. Well I should have checked the yelp reviews before I stopped for lunch. It was disappointing. I was greeted quickly and seated quickly. My server was also prompt. I ordered the Prime Rib Dip. It was disappointing. There were large chunks of fat on each and every piece of meat. So much so that I had to go through the entire sandwich before I could eat. After picking all of the fat, I had enough meat for 1/2 the sandwich. Not good. I did tallboy my server who called in the manager. They offered me more food , but I declined. I'd that meal came out of the kitchen, I am not quite ready to try again. This spacious but underwhelming brewpub in Cary's Crossroads shopping center is the perfect place to watch the big game, as long as you don't set your expectations too high. There are huge TVs over the bar and on almost every wall, and on the recent night I visited, they were even nice enough to turn up the sound for Monday Night Football. But the nachos I ordered were terrible, and the Brewhouse Bacon Cheeseburger that followed arrived undercooked and soggy. The beer selection is decent, but most taps are from B.J.'s in-house label. The HopStorm IPA I ordered with my meal was OK, but I would've preferred a wider range of choices from some of Raleigh's great local breweries instead. B.J.'s is a perfectly acceptable sports bar, and service during my visit was terrific -- but its grub could use somewhat of an upgrade. read more

I really wanted to love this place due to the extensive menu options. Not happening. Tonight's dinner came with dirty Napkins. Not just one rolled napkin, but both of our Napkins bosted of different stain varieties. The staff is enjoyable, but the food is just O...K... Two visits within two weeks and so underwhelmed. The multi paged menu boasts of sumptuous dishes of a varied sorts such as deep dish pizzas, lighter calorie menu options, superfood options, Cajun varieties and more. The unfortunate part is that the food comes out of the kitchen looking nothing like the pictures or the way the menu describes. Kitchen staff on each occasion manages to omit or add something different that what was ordered. If I return, (which will only be because the manager was kind enough to take care of our disappointing meal tonight) it will be to order an appetizer and enjoy the extensive tap beer selection. We went on a busy Friday night around 8 pm. Took a lil long for apps to come out but overall I still give it 5 stars. Lemon pepper wings were nice and crispy and not overly salty (unlike most other restaurants lemon pepper wings ). Slider burgers were delish. I had a big meal earlier so I only ordered a bowl of clam chowder. Some of the best clam chowder I've had. Plan on going back tonight for more wings and chowder. read more

Massive menu - good and bad. I like it. I try to live slowly. Spinach stuffed mushrooms were really good - recommended by server. Jambalaya was excellent. New England clam chowder was 8 out of 10 and the blackened salmon with rice pilaf was cooked correctly but nothing special. Boring. They also have a cherry glazed salmon but the server recommended against it. I have to agree. That doesn't sound like a good mix. And I like cherries! Call drinks were on special for $5 one of the nights I went and I thought that was pretty good, although I don't know how often they do that. Love this spot so much! The bar is my go to seating option. They have the friendliest and most willling staff. Dan, the bartender is a personal favourite of mine!
