This BJ's location was cool. We sat at the bar because the wait was crazy long. Our server was cool. Had to remind them a few times they forgot a few request such as utensils. The food came in a timely manner. It was clean but weird that they ran out forks. Didn't delay our food arrival. I got the chicken Alfredo fettuccine. 7/10 *Dry *no flavor Either it was the chicken that was bland or the sauce. The garlic know was good. All in all there's so much to try that on the menu that I will still go back for their happy hours or to entertain a group for dinner. read more

Stopped by Bjs for happy hour. Beer was cold,the egg rolls and mini pizzas were fresh and tasted great. Service was outstanding. We have had Nicole on numerous occasions. She's personable, friendly, goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service and always smiling! She takes your order by memory and it's always right. She anticipates our every need. We love Nicole!! The bar is a little noisy with the music and games on but it's an issue. This is one of our weekly stops. read more

My friends and I came here for lunch on Tuesday. It was a terrible experience. We were seated and waited and waited for a server. I had to ask the hostess if we sat in the bar, could we get a server. Pretty pathetic huh? The hostess said she can send a server over to us so I said OK. The server came over and took our order. My order of soup and salad came out first, while my 2 friends waited for their order. I was finished with my lunch and they were still waiting for their food. I flagged our server over and asked when the rest of the food will be out. She said soon. Finally their food came out. We had to ask for drink refills. We waited for our bill and our pizookie to go way too long. I won't be back. I know this restaurant will continue to survive with or without my business, but its really sad that this is the type of service they give. My bill was over $80 and definitely not worth it! read more

This place stays packed rain or shine. When we're hungry, My best friend has no shame. She does whatever it takes to get a table. I think I might be a little more patient than her but who are we kidding ! I've been there too! I recall the time where I had a bad back. I was Standing in A position holding my hip Swaying back-and-forth. Next thing you know, the host bumped us in front of A huge crowd. She said I've been there come with me ! Bless her heart she thought I was pregnant. In order for my ego not to be completely bruised, I decided to play along . Make this insult work for me . I'll take a win where I can get one. I didn't correct her I pretended like I was pregnant for the rest of the night.LOL . I can see why people get addicted to having babies. Everybody was being so nice to me. Today we stood dripping wet in a lobby with no seats .Our only hope would be to get a table at the bar. My best friend decided to start hovering by the Booth that we wanted. Hey, it worked we scoop that table up so quick ! The round booth in the front entrance is a little uncomfortable having everybody stare at you while you eat. We didn't mind . I have never had the worst service in my life. Went just for a pizookie on a Tuesday night. Wait was 15 minutes hosts were amazing. Once sat the server took forever to greet us, took over 20 minutes for JUST water, and walked around talking rather than assisting her tables. Have better work ethic and customer service! For about $8 and some change my Tavern Pizza came with Sausage, Cheese, and Tomato on a thin crust. Love dipping my pizza with ranch, with the addition of Parmesan Cheese and Red Pepper. Amazing. My server was quick. He just forgot the napkins and Parmesan Cheese, but other than, it was a great pizza. It just could have been cut better. Noise level is pretty loud, lots of seating, and big parking lot since it is near a mall. read more

Went on a Thursday night with family. Place was bumping. We had to wait 20 min to get seated. They had a special listed by the door that I clocked so thought I'd have the tri tip and pizookie. for $19. Got seated, Jessie was very nice, and got our drinks and appetizer order. I was impressed that the appetizer came out super quick. I ordered the spicy mango margarita with a Tajín rim and, again, I was surprised! I've had spicy margaritas elsewhere and this was by far the best. It was actually spicy and the tequila they used was the good kind. It didn't taste bitter. And I only needed this drink for a nice buzz. The pink lemonade was reported to be meh but the Mai Thai was delicious! Tri tip was chewy and the half-rack were not fall off the bone. Chicken sandwiches were on point. The only hiccup we had was that my niece asked for no cheese or garlic aioli. They forgot to omit the aioli. Jesse was apologetic and immediately took it back. However, it took a considerable amount of time to get the food corrected. But once the food arrived, all was well. Pizookie didn't disappoint! Get the macadamia nut cookie. And share those suckers because they are rich, decadent and can cloy if you have too much. Oh! And ask about a military discount if you're are/were in the military. It's not much but, hey, it's something. I don't go to BJ's often. Will be back for that spicy margarita and to watch a game. Cheers! read more

I usually come to this BJ's in Downey and really like the service, time waiting and mostly the food. Wish prices were a little lower but I understand everywhere is the same now days. I will continue coming when possible since is our favorite place. read more

Went here on a Sunday night and even though it was busy, the staff treated us well. Kate was our server and she swiftly got refills, sauces, and anything we needed. She was so kind and helpful! I got a cheeseburger with fries and it was good. I would say stick to the burgers and pizzas here. read more

Jade was our server and she was nice but definitely slow. She did not provide us any reassurance about where our food was and we ordered soup and salad. When we asked, she got a little defensive. The pasta we also ordered looked microwaved and came out cold, which meant it had been sitting there for a while. When we told her it was cold she acted surprised. On Sunday July 20th between the time range of 310 pm till 430 pm when we finally closed. My bro, myself and my cousin sat in the bar area. I would like to say thank you to two people. First the person who hired Gaby, and the second is Gaby for making us feel extremely welcome, observant to our needs. At no point did my brother, my cousin and myself have an empty beer in our hands. The amazing upsell she created was on point. She was very attentive to everyone that sat in the bar area. At 4 pm the individual who was going to release her should up not to drill to work. Prior till Anthony should up Gaby created an amazing ambiance and phenomenal guest experience. The awkwardness of he's body language and desire was like he wanted to clock in and go home. Which by the way he didn't introduce himself to anyone in the bar area. I'm in the hospitality industry myself. I get an off day but as adults in this industry we have to leave our problems at the door and not bring an attitude or negative vibe towards everyone. And I get it bad days but the fact you don't acknowledge the customers and their needs is what makes the whole team look good. Honestly the biggest upset is the service here. We had Alonso A as our server and what started out to be a good birthday lunch, was just a run of time with no pizookie! He wasn't very attentive, constantly disappearing after taking food orders and dropping off the food. We asked for napkins and he said there were no napkins, only the black linens! Like you want us to blow our nose or wipe saliva off with the linens? Also, we saw another waitress give napkins to the other table. The biggest reason for this review was the pizookie, I asked him before the meal if I can get my voucher for birthday pizookie, he said yes, asked for my verification code letters, I gave it to him. We did not see him until our food came, I asked him one more time, how long does the pizookie take? Can I order it now and get it when it's ready? He said takes 10 minutes, I'll put it in closer to when you're done with your food. Doesn't show up, we wanted refills, a different side, order more fries, but nothing. When I asked for the check, he just brought the check and had no pizookie and no order. I asked if he can order and I'll take it to go since it was late for us. (1.5 hours sitting down), and he said he would have to ask his manager if he can do that and it doesn't go through. So we said forget it and left. We even left a tip just because we maybe it'll be shared with the cooks or food runners. But definitely a bad birthday experience. read more

Food is consistently terrible. Sides are missing. Chicken is thin and overcooked and is like leather. It's so hard you can break a window with it. Terrible and for $30 you would expect to at least get a meal you could eat but no! The sals brew house chicken I ordered was absolutely horrible. Even the mashed potatoes were lumpy and tasted rancid. Asparagus was hard and had so much pepper it was inedible. Won't be ordered from there again. Overpriced garbage. read more
