I have mixed thoughts on my review. Our server started out great. He was very attentive. Coming around to see if everything was okay. We first ordered the avocado egg rolls. The dipping sauce was half of the tiny dish, with the large pieces that are served we finished the sauce with 3 pieces left. We had to ask for more. It didn't come until we got our meals, by that time they were cold. When we got our food my wife had ordered the seared ahi salad. In the menu the salad looks very nice. Large pieces of ahi around the plate. What she got was small pieces on one side in the salad. We sent it back, it came back the same, very disappointing. So we paid $20 for a salad. My wife also ordered half ginger ale half cranberry juice. He brought out a mini bottle of ginger ale and a half glass of cranberry juice. We were charged for two drinks (ginger ale's). I didn't pay a closer look at the bill, my mistake. I asked for a refill of my iced tea, it never came. We had been in the area for a conference, so we were tired and hungry. I wish I would have asked for a manager. The food is good however the portions and the service has been in decline. read more

This is gonna be long. Went out for a friend's birthday Sat, Sep 24th, and when we were ready to pretty much order we were told that they were out of burgers, steaks, and noodles. So some of my friends had to find something else to eat. One of them were told last minute that they didn't have a particular meat for them and they had to order something else. Everyone already had their food so it sucks to be the only one waiting for theirs. But the server came back and said that they did have that particular meat so it was fine for them to make it. The server was really great and nice, but being told last minute that they are pretty much out of everything wasn't lol. They did give us a discount for the inconvenience, which we were all really thankful for. The other thing that bothers me though, was that I ordered a Cookies n Cream pazookie to go (also, they were out of a lot of other ones) and when I took it out the next day to eat it, I noticed, while I was eating it actually, there was a strand of white hair in my cookie. Not today well, the service was great, but let me tell you about the pizza, we usually get the sweet pig. Today the pizza tasted like it was sitting out for a few hours. The bread was not thick like it usually is And the pizza was room temperature. We got our food really quick so my only reason for this is that they had this pizza out ready for awhile and we're waiting for someone to come in and order it. We were very disappointed today. While on our honeymoon we decided to stop by the local BJ's. (We live in the Bay Area btw!) Caleb Walton has by far been one of the best hosts/server we've ever had. He was very professional, polite, and attentive. We honestly felt like we were the only ones being served. Our first impression of Caleb was that he was easy to talk to because of his appropriate humor. He never thought twice to ask if we needed anything, and never allowed us to look around for someone nearby to help. We are still confused as to whether Caleb is a Manager or a server, because he certainly has the personality, and characteristics of a manager. This man needs a promotion or a bump up on his paycheck!! Definitely closed our romantic night with a positive experience at BJ's. Food was given to us in the order we asked and was delicious. Give this BJ's 10 s if we could. I ordered prime rib and my husband ordered the pepperoni extreme. Both dishes were very well made. My husband couldn't stop stealing my prime rib. If only there was a ZERO star option! I was so disappointed tonight because of the horrible service at this place. It's HORRIBLE!!!!! We waited for 15 minutes to get our drinks. We were told the soups would be served first. But 20 minutes later, the prime ribs were brought out first and placed on the table, with no utensils for us to eat. So of course the meat got even COLDER than it already was. We had to send the meat back. Then, the soups and salads came out, once again no napkin or fork or knife for the salads, just the spoons that came with the soup. I asked for utensils and a server brought out exactly ONE set, for TWO of us!!! Hahahaha. He was so funny! We had to ask for another set because of course no server was able to spot that only one of us had napkin and utensils. Then the meats made their way back out. ALL BLACK! Hahaha. Why? The solution of the kitchen staff was to put the supposedly roasted prime rib on something to blacken them in order to reheat instead of serving new cut of fresh meat. To think that we paid $29.95 for each piece of this meat saddened me. The meat was dry and unappetizing. We couldn't eat even a third of it. I was too hungry so I had to eat a few bites. When our drinks were empty, we had to wait to ask for a refill. Then, waited for 20 minutes for a pizookie to come out. The server did not even notice my empty tea cup. We came in late one night and it was a game night so we waited for about an hour. Since it was late and cold, we really not sure where else to go so we didn't mind the wait. We were told we can seat anywhere in bar area if there is any openings but all tables were taken. The point is, maybe is because of full house, by the time we got seated and received our foods, foods taste horrible. My fish and chips were over fried. Pretty small pieces and dark in color that makes me lost my appetite when I saw them. Even thou I love crispy fries but definately not super crunchy ones. We waited an hour to be seated then another 15-20 minutes before waitress even acknowledged us and had the audacity to ask us if someone has already attended to us. We put in order for drinks and took advantage of placing our food order. After 15 minutes of waiting for our drinks and not receiving them we finally said fuck it let's leave. After years of excellent service and food, we have come into a night of issues. We ordered pizza, steak, and ribs. The soup was cold, the Caesar salad had no dressing, and the croutons were stale. My pizza crust was soggy and limp. My son's steak was the size of a small burger. My pizookie cookie was delicious. The one other time we had issues out of the perhaps 60 times we've been to the restaurant, we let the manager know that my prime rib was gray when I had ordered it rare. The manager explained that the oven knob got hit or turned by someone and that all of the prime rib was like that. First the cut is not correct and the cook is terrible. It is extremely rubbed with black pepper to the point it is not edible. Asked for a medium cook for possibly a medium well. I just wanted to take the time and give a huge shout out to the team that you had scheduled on Saturday night 03/16/24. Upon getting seated near the bar, and after placing our order for a party of 4, one of our friends experienced sensory overload since we were near the bar, it was a busy night and it was a bit loud. After explaining this to the front desk hostess, I asked her if she'd be able to accommodate my party and move us to the patio. I explained my friends sensory issues, and she was super understanding and immediately moved us to the patio. Once we were accommodated, our new waiter was super sweet and offered to lower the music to further support my friend who was feeling a bit overwhelmed. We call if they have any specials they did the deal is 2 for $22 it's a salad, pizza and dessert for $22 that's a good deal before we reach to BJ'S. The person the phone says would you to put you name on the list we sat yes it save us time and plus finding parking on a football Sunday that's crazy but we found parking with no problems. We waited but it went fast to be seated right away wow this BJ'S is always pack with football fanatics and people who shop at Stonewood. The meal we order was the 2 for $22 the style of pizza was deep dish we got the Ranch chicken bacon. They brought our deep dish pizza it looks so good my wife and I got a piece of the deep dish wow amazing good it's was so gooey cheesy good that's the way I like it. I order a a pint of their limited beer I got the Field day IPA it's really good it wasn't heavy light with a good flavor. Finally dessert we order the pookie it's a bake cookies in a deep dish with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream it was so good after being in this heat. I've been to numerous BJ's, and this is by far, the worst one. My family and I get here on a pretty busy night- NFL Draft and, Ducks playoffs, and Clippers/Spurs Game 6. We were expecting to catch the various games on TV while we were there. Upon entering, we noticed there was only ONE screen in the bar and just a few TVs around the restaurant. The one screen showed 4 different channels, but the NFL draft was shown larger than the other 3 channels. The smaller screens were barely visible from the bar, so we requested our server to change the setting to make it all the same size. Once the screen sizes changed, it was so much better. However, due to the higher bar tables, it was so hard to see the games because of the heads blocking our vision. This location really needs to add more TVs throughout. It's a pretty small location, but there should be at least two more TVs in the bar. What is a disappointment. On top of that, our server at the bar was awful. He barely came around to check up and did not smile once. However, we ended up with another server when our original server went on break. This new server was awesome (1 star for his service and kindness). It was a drastic difference. read more
