Hands down the best burger I've had in Eugene! I've tried many burger places in Eugene, and I was totally shocked at how well they cooked the hamburger. You have the option of choosing how you'd like to have it cooked, and I asked that it be cooked medium, and it was absolutely perfect. Comes on a very nice brioche bun as well. To top it off, their hamburgers are very reasonable priced compared to the other burger places in the area. This will definitely be our go-to burger place from now on! read more

The food here is AMAZING I came here yesterday and i came again the next day because it's soooo good. The service is excellent they tend to be busy and your bound to wait a bit but duh they're busy don't expect your food to be out in seconds so be respectful of the servers and cooks. I love how it's dim in here and the way it looks, the servers are friendly and check up on you not too much but not too little either I love it. For those saying it's so dark they can't even see be for real.... Chances are it's older people saying that which obviously makes sense so don't be doin too much. The Pazooki is delicious, but everything else I've tried has made my tastebuds sad. Have you ever wanted to eat something that looks like food, but then tastes nothing like the food you thought you were eating. Then this is your place. This place will give reasonable servings that will definitely leave you full, however it is so bland that making it to the end of your meal to be satisfied is damn near impossible. The void of nothingness that hit my tastebuds is honestly a feat in and of itself. I'm almost positive I've eaten boiled leather that has more flavor then the food provided by this establishment. For the price a piece of fine boiled leather might be worth more just to have that experience. One would hope that paying $70 on a meal afterwards you would say, "damn that was definitely worth it." Sadly that just isn't the case here. It is like they reached there hands into my pocket and left me with the mirage of a meal. The whole facade of this place is a smoke screen that dupes you into thinking your about to have a fabulous dining experience, but really its just an upscaled Applebee's, with less flavor. read more

We took some friends out for lunch today and we were very disappointed. The restaurant was so dark that we could not see the menu. Our friends had to bring out their cell phones with a light on them so we could decide what we wanted. It was a very uncomfortable situation. We mentioned it to the waitress and she just smiled and said nothing. The food was good. Strawberry lemonade was really strong and acidie and needed sugar. The service was ok..but far from the friendly upbeat attentive service we have had at this restaurant in past visits. Just a whole different atmosphere/experience today. read more

I really enjoy the food here. I have tried the bbq chicken salad and the crispy chicken sandwich. Both are solid! Really good fries too. I also like the beer! Their IPA and double IPA are good. Not your typical west coast version, and I appreciate the difference since I drink west coast style all the time. The only complaint I have for this restaurant is the hostesses. The last two times that I have come for dinner, the hostesses seem unhappy and don't smile. They don't seem to enjoy their jobs. It's kind of a buzzkill when I arrive but then the visit is justified with the food and drinks. I'll keep coming back, I just hope the hostess staff is friendlier. Thanks! read more

I really enjoyed the meal I was prepared by the fabulous chefs. However, their root beer tastes like drinking a tree trunk.

Needed my phones flashlight just to read the menu at lunchtime. It's incredibly dark inside. Waited a very long time for service when the place was practically empty. Ordered the calamari and wasn't impressed at all- about half as good as Olive Garden's calamari. Ordered a pizookie for dessert and wasn't informed it takes them an additional 55 minutes to place the order and go make the cookie. Even if someone paid me to go back there- I'd avoid going. Drove my wife's best friend roughly an hour to make a stop in the nearby mall and buy her a birthday present, but figured we had time to grab dinner at BJs first, maybe get her one of those goofy pizza cookies. Time of arrival: 6:30. Called ahead 40 minutes to place a reservation with the horrible robot system. Hostess stared at me like I walked through the front door with a loaded gun (Was there something in my hair? Girl, you can tell me, I'll take it well), then informed me that our reservation had been lost, but that a table might be available in 30-40 minutes, if not, we could sit at the bar. Worth noting that, at the exact same moment, they were seating a walk-in couple, but hey, maybe those people got the very last table. It happens, right? My wife, disheartened but not discouraged, pipes up with "What about a booth?" which makes me laugh, because why on earth would we not be offered a booth before the bar, but before the hostess can answer, some other guy swoops in and goes "Oh, sure, booths are available, right this way." The hell? We're shown in, four booths and three tables in our section alone are absolutely bare. Once more, hey, maybe those seats are reserved, right? Completely understandable. Across the next hour and a half, absolutely nobody sits at any of these tables, zero occupants, no diners in sight. How do we know about the next nintety minutes of table activity? Why, because we got ditched by our waiter for maybe sixty of those after ordering a few burgers. That's not entirely fair, guy checked back in with us around... forty four minutes into the ordeal, just to remark that we'd been waiting a while now. Three minutes later, they brought a bunch of plates to our table just to waft some good smells at us, then realized all at once that they were serving the wrong table in some sort of cruel hunger-based prank. Final time of arrival on food: 7:34. The store in the mall we drove her for closes at 8. We wolf our sandwiches down, scream out the door at 7:48. I'm sure something awful was going on in the kitchen today, but the fact that we got iced out for almost an hour sucked on ice, and there was no punchline to this joke, no apology or discount or even an explanation. A simple "sorry for the wait" would have gone a long way on recovering what amounted to a sad, rushed birthday dinner. For what it's worth, despite all this, we somehow managed to make it where we were headed about thirty seconds before they closed!! No pizza cookie though. Sad face. read more

Decided quickly both the beverage and the entry Was served both somewhat timely ... save when the entry was served it lacked any sorts of condiments... asked for a very very very simple request... a bit of ketchup... which should have been assumed with burgers and fries And then waited... and waited... and waited Only got what I requested when the server came by to ask if I needed anything else... and I said " that would be the ketchup that I requested in the first place". This review is for the Erugen Oregon Vally River Center Location. Last night I went in after a HARD week at work just for a drink to relax before heading home. It was around 6:30 pm and they were crazy busy. I sat down just at the bar as to not take up a table and the Bartender Andrew welomed me and whipped up my ordered drink.... best ever!! I'm writing this review for the extream respect he showed to these two men in the militar. This location at the Valley River mall is for me simple to get into as long as your not going Christmas traffic. With plenty of parking, you usually don't have issue in finding a place to park. This place has an EXTENSIVE menu, almost to the point of being too many offerings. For me and for lunch time, I like the Lemon Tyme Chicken which is on a bed of rice and has veggies sautéed. The best part is it's only 490 calories, so for those of us not trying to fit into larger pants again this year, it's a great option. There are literally dozens of options from flatbreads, to salads, to fish and pasta dishes, to standard burgers and American fare. There is also a large in house beer offering as well as a full bar offering. There is tons of seating here, from the bar area which is first come first served, to the lower sections where you are seated. Typically quick service, TV's with sports on several walls, you will find something to catch your attention. The manager came by to check on our table and he was also concerned about our opinion of the restaurant and the quality of their food and service. We have eaten at BJ's 3 times in the past 5 weeks. We live in Roseburg but have had various reasons to drive to Eugene. The first 2 times there were 3 of us. My husband and I ordered the all you can eat soup and salad. LOVED the soups and tried a couple different kinds eat time. The salad...not so much. The lettuce is like leaves pulled off some kind of bush, hard to stick with a fork and eat. Try iceberg and romaine as the lettuce. Easier to get on the fork and into the mouth. The 3rd person ordered the lunch chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. He LOVED it! Large portion and delicious. The 3rd visit it was just my hubby and me. This time we got smart and ordered the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. (Even though we had to ask for the lunch specials menu.) SO GOOD! And so filling! It was a little tough getting refills of drinks but we stuck with it and finally snagged some. It was a busy day...the day after Thanksgiving...and the place was hopping. One downside: the floor was really slippery. Someone had spilled a drink at the table behind us. I saw it and warned my husband but it wasn't cleaned while we were there and I didn't see the servers to tell them. Also the ramp area that leads from the bar to the restrooms was REALLY slick, like something oily had spilled. Dangerous! We'll be back for more chicken parmigiana and spaghetti! read more

Last time we will be back. We have been to this location 3 times since covid started, and this will be our last. The food has completely gone down hill in this time and they still offer a limited menu. Honestly it's not much better than Applebees. Every time we have walked in we are never greeted and tonight a shaved head mask wearing hostess looked up at us and kept her conversation going with a waitress and didn't acknowledge us. We should have just left, but thought we would give it one more try. The food always takes 30 plus min to come and it is often an hour and a half plus to be seated eat and pay the check. So tired of the complete lack of customer service at this restaurant along with this entire area. Tired of feeling like we are a burden and inconvenience to staff when we show up to spend money in this community. read more
