Last time we will be back. We have been to this location 3 times since covid started, and this will be our last. The food has completely gone down hill in this time and they still offer a limited menu. Honestly it's not much better than Applebees. Every time we have walked in we are never greeted and tonight a shaved head mask wearing hostess looked up at us and kept her conversation going with a waitress and didn't acknowledge us. We should have just left, but thought we would give it one more try. The food always takes 30 plus min to come and it is often an hour and a half plus to be seated eat and pay the check. So tired of the complete lack of customer service at this restaurant along with this entire area. The food for our dinner was delicious and portions were large. Jordan was our server and she was pleasant, prompt, careful about us getting the corect order, and was a good sport when we bantered with her. The manager came by to check on our table and he was also concerned about our opinion of the restaurant and the quality of their food and service. We have eaten at BJ's 3 times in the past 5 weeks. We live in Roseburg but have had various reasons to drive to Eugene. The first 2 times there were 3 of us. My husband and I ordered the all you can eat soup and salad. LOVED the soups and tried a couple different kinds eat time. The salad...not so much. The lettuce is like leaves pulled off some kind of bush, hard to stick with a fork and eat. Try iceberg and romaine as the lettuce. Easier to get on the fork and into the mouth. The 3rd person ordered the lunch chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. He LOVED it! Large portion and delicious. The 3rd visit it was just my hubby and me. This time we got smart and ordered the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti. (Even though we had to ask for the lunch specials menu.) SO GOOD! And so filling! It was a little tough getting refills of drinks but we stuck with it and finally snagged some. It was a busy day...the day after Thanksgiving...and the place was hopping. One downside: the floor was really slippery. Someone had spilled a drink at the table behind us. I saw it and warned my husband but it wasn't cleaned while we were there and I didn't see the servers to tell them. Also the ramp area that leads from the bar to the restrooms was REALLY slick, like something oily had spilled. Dangerous! We'll be back for more chicken parmigiana and spaghetti! read more

BJs won me back over! We had a team lunch with several people eating on special diets, and BJs was our option today. In reviewing the menu online I saw the dietary restrictions menu they had- that really gives this place tons of extra brownie points back. It was nice to see the common allergens included in each dish laid out so nicely. Kudos BJ for making this so easy for people who need to/ are avoiding sulfites, soy, wheat, milk, eggs, nuts, fish etc. So much stuff hidden in food it's not easy to always tell- so thank you! The waitress was very kind and accommodating to the special diets ( I was one this time), and had no issues with taking the order or answering questions. The food came out cooked well and tasty. Although our initial interaction with the hostess was very poor, the management corrected the behavior and offered very sincere apologies. 12/30/23-Visited BJ's in Eugene, Oregon for my daughter's 16th birthday dinner and unfortunately, the service was well below par. We waited for 1.5 hours to be seated. The hostesses rudely told people you should have had a reservation if you wanted a table. I told them you can't get a reservation online for five people. That's when they said to get a reservation online, you have to have more than seven people. And if you really wanted a reservation, you should have called and talked to the manager. Not sure how I was supposed to know that ahead of time. After getting a table we waited 15 minutes to SEE our server. We placed an order for drinks, apps, and our food since we were all starving. Took about 20 minutes to get drinks, food was served about 2 1/2 hours after we entered the building. The food was average at best. We had spaghetti and meatballs, chicken Alfredo, a burger, California club, and Santa Fe chicken salad. With drinks, our total was $160 without tip. When the food finally arrived, we had no utensils to eat with. Despite asking several servers, we waited 5 minutes for utensils and about 30 minutes for water. And she brought 3 waters for five people. Weird. The booth was dirty and the table had a few barbecue sauce spots. It was a disappointing experience and I hope the restaurant takes note to improve their service. No wonder it takes so long to get a table. It takes 30 minutes to get your drinks and another 30 for your food. The staff never made eye contact and looked pretty unhappy to be working there. I haven't been here in about a year. BJs does not disappoint! I had a half rack of ribs, the cheddar mashed and a Caesar with a Mac n jacks amber... perfect pairing! The caesar was spectacular - I kept trying to figure out what they put in the dressing that made it soooo delicious?! Anchovies? Fresh Garlic? Whatever it is its amazeballs! The rack was fantastic! A little char and some very tasty sauce with perfect heat balance -- did I want more ribs? Sauce? Both? Ughhh decisions! Just eat! As with most chain restaurants, my experience with BJs is inconsistent. I had a 2-star experience where the service was terrible and the food was mediocre, and so I never planned on going there again. However, I recently went there with a large group, and I had a better experience, so I decided to give it yet another try on date night. BJs has this revolving door at their entrance. When I first saw it, I was like, "That's awesome!" But then I walked through it and it wasn't as satisfying as I expected. Oddly, this is analogical of my experience with the restaurant. They have this extensive menu that looks great, but I am never as satisfied as I thought I'd be after getting my food. I think the issue is that the ambiance doesn't match the type of food you're getting. So you have this place that's all brand new and extravagant for a brewhouse with granite tables and then you order nachos and you expect them to spare no expense and pile them high, but there's not enough toppings for all of your chips. Disappointing. Besides my disappointment nachos, I also ordered the honey-siracha brussel sprouts. To my surprise, those were bomb! They're grilled and delicious, and the saving grace of this restaurant. My partner ordered a burger, and I thought it was good, but I feel like that should be a given. You don't get brownie points for a burger that is just as good as anyone else's. Our server was friendly, which always makes for an enjoyable night out. So the key to enjoying your experience at BJs is remembering that this is a chain. Have Applebee-level expectations. You can't go wrong with a burger and give the brussel sprouts a try. read more

The food is always really tasty, the service is at the very least pretty solid, the environment is always very clean and lively, and you never feel like it's taken an unreasonable time for your meal to be prepared. This location has always done well. The reason I am finally writing a review is because this time B.J.'s went beyond what I have come to expect from them. The hostesses were all super friendly and sat us in a booth, which is a huge plus when you have two kids with you. Almost immediately after we were seated a wonderful guy by the name of Hayden introduced himself and let us know he would be taking care of us and he proceeded to deliver us a truly wonderful and memorable experience. Just received our third to go order, 3rd times ordering, our order is completely wrong again. three times in a row! for a meal feeding three or four people it's about 100 bucks. None of the employees apparently care enough to read the order and get it right, our order is wrong again tonight. We no longer will be ordering from them or going to eat there, last time we called the manager but no one cares. Your order will likely not be right and you'll be missing food or other items won't be made the way they were on the menu. And if the management responds and says we should call in to resolve the problem, well we already did that and you guys never sent the gift certificate you said you would. So why would we call you again when you've messed up three of our orders in a row. We understand now you guys can't deliver the menu that you have posted and we're wasting our time and money and not getting to eat dinner at night, so we'll go elsewhere. read more

Came here with a friend, and decided to order something different from what I usually order. I ordered the blonde fish n chips, and I was actually pretty impressed. They seasoned their batter which added more flavor, and the fish was cooked perfectly. But however I think they put too much batter which threw off the fish to fried batter ratio because it was too heavy to finish. The fries as usual are cooked perfectly, nice and golden brown. For dessert I ordered the white chocolate macadamia but pzookie and thank god it was cooked right because sometimes they overcook it. Overall pretty impressed compared to the time I gave this place 2 stars. read more

This is the least pleasant BJ experience I've ever had in my entire life. No fewer than three times I've been let down, but like a teenage girl with low self-esteem, I keep going back. Ordering delivery from BJ's is much like playing the lottery, with about the same odds of winning. My first order I placed was for ribs. I received chicken. A chicken is not a pig. I wanted the pig to die for me, not a chicken. My second order, well, they ran out of a sandwich. That makes perfect sense. I mean, it isn't like that's their only job. To have food and prepare it. "Welcome to Disneyland. Sorry, we're out of children's dreams for the day." On the third order they forgot the sides. This ended up being a blessing as their greasy, gelatinous 'sandwich' was so nauseating that I could only stomach half of it before considering the incredible business opportunity of marketing BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse sandwiches to people with eating disorders. Skip the fingers down the throat, just shove their cheese steak down your gullet. I'd recommend BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse if you want to personally experience the dietary equivalent of the downfall of western society. read more

Astonishingly rude waiter tonight. He: * Snapped "Wait!" as I started to order a coffee. I laughed nervously, thinking he had to be joking, but no - he meant it. Apparently he wasn't ready to take the order. He never did bring that coffee, btw, and had been asked 3 times for it. Guess what? It was on the bill. To be fair, he did give a half-hearted apology for that, and removed the charge from the bill. * Swore aloud when his computer thingy did something that didn't please him. "Dammit" and "shit." Not super professional. * When we asked to split our bill, he actually said "Oh come on, you guys!" with extreme impatience. And "If you can't figure it out I'm gonna go serve other tables." He made our group feel like a huge pain, even though we all remained respectful and polite to him. And still tipped him, btw, though he did NOT earn it. This is not a person who should be working in any job that involves public contact. At the very minimum, he shouldn't ever be scheduled to work a busy Friday night shift. He can't handle it. And at the prices BJs charges, they can certainly afford someone more skilled in basic courtesy and food service. read more

BJs, yes, man o man what a great place all the way around I see they only get three stars I can't imagine why. Everything I have tried on their menu has been totally mouth wateringly delicious, perhaps a bit expensive but I don't think overly so, at all as they are a cut above most places here in Eugene in my book. I went to BJs on Veteran's Day with a couple Veteran buddies of mine and well, it took an hour for us to get a table. An hour, yes, one could say that an hour was a bit long of a wait but hey, they were massively busy, so much so we couldn't hardly get through the front door. We finally made it up to the hostess to make our reservations for out table and she was really sweet and pleasant, and I thought it was pretty cool that she said she would text me when our table was ready so we didn't have to wait around for the whole hour. I finally got the text that the gal said she would send me so we headed on over and were seated right away. There wasn't much of a wait after we got seated, the waiter was at our table within, like, three minutes or so which I thought was rather prompt given how busy they were. He took our drink orders and headed off. Just a couple minutes later he brought our drinks to enjoy while we all pondered over the menu. I settled for the Bacon Cheeseburger and fries which was cooked to perfection. My two friends opted for a BJ's Deep Dish Classic Combo Pizza and damn, it was very delicious and savory and while we were eating our waiter was always there to refill our drinks when we needed him. For as busy as they were the place was clean, sparkly and comfortable with a great atmosphere. The bar was wiped down, the floor was clean and the bathrooms were in order. BJ's has a whole line of their signature beers they brew in Boulder Colorado and all of them that I have tried, so far, has been top quality but, if you would prefer, they also offer beers from the local craft breweries as well, which I take my hat off to them for. Usually a brewery wants to offer only their own line. And the coolest thing about it for us Veterans was that it was all totally free. We did have to pay for our drinks, which was just fine. All in all it was a wonderful evening for us three grizzled old Vietnam Veterans and I will be headed back to BJs as soon as I can. Thanks Folks for a job well done... ;) read more

After writing a not so favorable review I was contacted by Brian who was apologetic and accommodating. We went back last night and our server did not know we were visiting as a result to try them out again. It was Friday night, completely packed and he was training a new server. He was so friendly, our food was fresh and hot and he kept apologizing for the wait even though it wasn't too bad. It was just super busy. We'll definitely be back, but if they try to sit us in the patio area again where I feel like we were forgotten I'll ask to wait for a table inside. Thank you Brian! I know you said to ask for you, but things were a bit chaotic and I didn't want to add another thing our server had to do because he had so much on his plate, still managed to keep a smile on his face and provide excellent service to all the tables around us. read more
