Brewhouse Protein bowl with blackened shrimp
    Madi S.

First of all, our server was absolutely amazing. I come to BJs often, and for some reason the kitchen was off last night. One of my family members made a few substitutions to his meal and dessert, and both times had to be sent back because the dishes came out wrong. This is the only reason I took off a star. Our server was absolutely amazing, noticed the kitchen mistakes right away before we even said anything, and had everything remade ASAP. I got the brewhouse protein bowl with blackened shrimp, this is my go-to and it's to die for! We also tried the Stars and Stripes pizookie, and this was also pretty good, though I was underwhelmed with the strawberry topping. For the night before Father's Day, it wasn't too busy inside, and overall the vibe of the restaurant is nice for family gatherings.

I really like the atmosphere in there. The music wasn't too loud, which is good. I really like their weekday deals and weekend deals. They have unlimited salads and soups. Even though it's busy on Friday, they still have good services.

Saturday 2May, 2026 3:30 pm. Spectrum Drive Frederick Maryland! Our Waiter was nice... I honestly want to believe he tried his best, so we did offer a 20% tip anyway! The Environment Good! However , The Food was questionable! In fact I feel nauseous after settling 4 hrs at home... Below, are pictures, and a receipt-- that definitely does a great job as witness!! I'm very disappointed with my recent dining experience at BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse. I ordered the Spicy Pig Pizza and specifically requested, no ham and the jalapeños on the side. What I received looked nothing like the menu photo. The pizza resembled more of a thin, overcooked tortilla than an actual pizza. The cheese was burnt, the toppings were sparse and lacked flavor, and overall it was far below what I expected--especially for a $21.99 dish. Presentation and quality matter, and this felt misleading compared to how the item is advertised. I'm not one to complain often, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt it needed to be addressed. I would appreciate someone looking into this and making it right. Oh myyy! Why is this happening?

To go ordered for Rib-Eye, asked for medium rare. It was very done. Paid $40 for this order, so disappointed.

Placed a go to order for a rib-eye to be cooked as medium rare, but it was ver done. We paid about $40 this dish. It was worth it.

Tuesday 3/5/2024 My opinion hasn't changed much but I did try some new items on my recent visit. Also I had to get my free annual birthday pizookie from them (always appreciated) and go for the 5$ pizookie Tuesdays. We got the 10 ct bacon jam bone-in wings $18, half - half deep dish pizza (half gourmet 5 meat & half great white) $35, and multiple $5 pizookies: cinnamon roll, chocolate chunk, Oreo creme, brownie sundae. I had high expectations trying the deep dish pizza for the first time and it was disappointing, I don't think it's worthy of the $35 to be that MID. The bacon jam wings and the strawberry lemonade are both pretty good. The pizookies are still the best item that they serve with my favorites being the Oreo creme, brownie sundae, monkey bread (sadly gone), and the cinnamon roll (sadly gone). The chocolate chunk pizookie was solid but it doesn't compare to my favorite pizookies. If I had 3 tiers to rank all the items I've had across the years it'd be: Tier 1: pizookies (Oreo creme-cinnamon roll-monkey bread-brownie sundae), bacon Jam wings, strawberry lemonade Tier 2: tri tip & baby back ribs, ribs Tier 3: prime rib, couscous Mac n cheese, loaded mashed potatoes, grilled chicken Alfredo, burger sliders All in all, the food is still mid to me EXCEPT for the bacon jam wings, strawberry lemonade, and of course the great pizookies which are the highlights for me.

We came to BJ's for a late lunch at approximately 3 PM, we were immediately greeted by friendly hostess and seated. Our server Angel, was very friendly professional, and even adjust us as friends! Service was top notch and the food was great!

This was so bad I felt sick and lost my appetite. And the burgers were so round and burnt we played hockey with the pattys. forgot my Caesar salad and still charged me. Everyone at my table sent their food back. The salmon tasted like you dumped four bottles of salt on it. I asked for a steak and fries. Nothing on it and they still put barbecue sauce on it. Steak was overcooked.

They sat us all the way in the back where no one else was sat. It was a totally different room to everyone else, which I thought was super weird . The service was beyond slow and the food was just absolutely horrible. Everything was super dry and just did not look appealing at all what's so ever. Tri tip with chicken , grilled asparagus and a loaded baked potato is what's pictured. This is how it looked when it came out...... no where near medium rare. Super tough and could hardly cut through the Tri tip that was brought out to us. We also got the grilled salmon which wasn't much better, had this nasty tasting cream sauce that it came with. $83 later for two entrees and an appetizer is beyond crazy for the quality of food that came out. We ended up just paying our bill and leaving. Not worth the hassle at that point. Absolutely no intentions of ever going back after the quality of food and service we received.

Visited for Happy hour (M-F 3-6). They have pretty good deals for foods and drinks. I ordered mini pizza and avocado egg rolls ($7 each during HH). There are always daily deals going on, Monday is half pizza day! Nice and large bar, great selection of draft beer. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Would like to visit again!

We were greeted immediately when we walked in and you could tell many of the folks there were regulars - like a modern Cheers vibe. My personal favorite among the beers was the En Fleur and we really liked the Penny Pincher and the Irish Stout they had. I even tried my first breakfast stout there (though I probably will never have beer for breakfast in my wiser years)! It is in the same space as a burger spot, which I think is really smart. We will definitely be back!

OMG; OMB is so freaking good!…read more Frederick has a wealth of local brewers, and Olde Mother is consistently at the top of the heap. The taproom at OMB has a warm, Cheers-like vibe (they don't know my name, but I'm working on it!). Their taps feature a rotating selection of light, sour/fruity, hoppy, dark/malty, and non-alcoholic beers. I'm a fan of their various Kolsches, and their stouts are "interesting" (I enjoyed their Morning Ritual Golden Breakfast Stout this week: looks like a lager, with a maple syrup taste that was really refreshing. Guinness it wasn't!). They also offer cocktails and wines for those poor people that can't appreciate a well-crafted, well-poured brews (pagans!). Pours are generous, prices are reasonable, value is great. They even have a selection of board games so you can while away a cold (or hot) evening by yourself or with friends. But wait: there's more... OMB shares space with Backslash Burgers (which was recently renamed from "50/50 Burgers" for what sounds like trademark reasons. Yelp hasn't caught the name change yet. You'll have to look them up under the old name for my (5 star, baby!) review. TLDR: amazing 50% beef/50% bacon smashburgers cooked to order with your choice of toppings, or you can choose from several very interesting regular offers. (If you like heat, try the "I Can't Feel My Face" burger. I dare you...). Sandwiches can be ordered as single or double patties, and can be made with chicken. Large groups can be accommodated, and there are regular events (bands, Night Markets, even a "Paint Your Pet" night are on this month's schedule) to help bring in thirsty and hungry hordes. Trivia Night is every Thursday, and it can get raucous. OMB shares a parking lot across the street with Gravel & Grind bike and coffee shop. It's not easily handicap accessible, with a few steps separating OMB and BB, and since both are self-service that could be a problem, but it's a great place to make helpful friends, no? The hours are also a little quirky for a pub (Monday-Saturday 11AM-10PM, Sunday 11AM-7PM). So, if you find your way to Frederick (and you should!), stop in for a great brew and burger. The patio on a nice weather day is perfect, and there was live music as well. A pizza truck outside and a good crowd of people. However, it was a day that needed more than one overwhelmed beertender. The lines at times were out the door. Went in for a second beer but the kolsch cans were not opening, the line became longer as the beertender tried her best to get a few open with no success. Ended up ordering the same beer as there was no other one on the menu that I prefer. Besides her needing some help, it seemed she was not supposed to be there past a certain time and that was reflected while she processed the line. We brought a group of approximately 50 guests and spent the entire afternoon and evening there, from 2 p.m. until closing. Given the size of our group, I estimate we spent well over $2,000 on food and drinks. The brewery was relatively quiet when we arrived, and our party filled much of the venue. Unfortunately, we encountered several issues that made what should have been a special celebration feel unwelcome. When we arrived, children were allowed up to a belt divider separating one area of the brewery. Shortly after our group arrived, the divider was removed and we were told that the children--even well-behaved kids around 12 and 13 years old--had to move to a completely different area. This split our group apart despite there being plenty of available space. A couple of hours later, we were told that we could not use our own insulated tumblers to keep our purchased beers cold. This included the birthday guest himself. What made this especially frustrating was that we observed other patrons using tumblers without being asked to stop. The final disappointment came during the birthday celebration. We brought a cake and a sparkler candle. The manager, who I believe was Derrick Erwee, informed us that it was a fire hazard and could not be used. While I understand safety concerns, no alternative was offered, meaning my husband didn't even get the chance to blow out a birthday candle on his 50th birthday. I then asked if our group, including the children, could come together briefly for a photo and to sing Happy Birthday for just a minute or two. The request was denied. This was particularly disappointing given that a storm was happening outside and our group made up a large portion of the customers in the brewery at the time. I spoke directly with the manager to explain how these decisions were affecting our celebration, but he showed little interest in finding a reasonable accommodation or demonstrating basic customer service. I want to be clear that the bartenders were friendly and professional throughout the event. They were not the issue. However, the overall management experience left us feeling unwelcome and disappointed. After investing significant time, money, and effort into planning such an important milestone celebration, I sincerely wish I had chosen another venue. Based on our experience, I would not recommend RAK Brewing for family gatherings, large group events, milestone celebrations, or anyone expecting a customer-focused experience. I am never coming back, nor my 50 guests.
