She was super attentive and made sure we had absolutely everything we needed. It is the type of service I expect when I come to a place like this and she exceeded our expectations. We enjoy going to BJ's restaurant for dinner. This time I tried the chicken sandwich, a bit disappointing. The chicken was way overcooked and parts of it weren't even edible. They do have some of the best fries around. Our server Kiara was excellent. read more

This two star review is JUST for the ribs which were cooked well and very tasty. I ended up getting the full rack because management (Hayley) so graciously gave me a courtesy card for my last uneventful and bad experience with the prime rib I purchased a few weeks ago for my husband. With that said, I normally would have given the ribs a 4 star rating, at minimum... but considering this overall experience was also disappointing, a 2 is the best I can do. Issues: Got the "loaded" potato because my husband really liked it last time. HOWEVER, there was no butter or sour cream in any bag that I received yesterday. Ugh. Maybe you're thinking it's not a big deal, but .... the potato itself was really dry without it and instead of being able to "mix" the fluffy potato (like last time), he cut it into cubes because it wasn't cooked through. Inedible. Maybe there needs to be better quality control on how these potatoes are baked? Perfect on 07-15-26. Horrible yesterday. So, I noticed a survey in my inbox. Started to complete it last night cuz I guess BJ's would rather you use that instead of Yelp, for obvious reasons... however, the link did not work and just sat there. I tried to return the email with a snapshot of the link not working, but got an undeliverable because you cannot respond to it. I give up. (and will post photos on this review tonight).... but is it really too much to ask for perfection?... or just not to forget the butter & sour cream? It's been a while since I've visited a BJ's so I'm not sure if my experience was a reflection of the chain itself or the location. *I stopped in prior to sunset, but during FIFA. The place wasn't slammed until we left. The first thing was the restrooms. The women's restrooms had toilet paper strewn about the floor, and the doors had the purse hangers missing from them. We were seated in what I'm guessing was an overflow room (the main room was empty but the bar area was being utilized the most). In the overflow room with the fireplace the ceiling had noticeable water damage, paint/wall damage, the cute little menu that sits on your table with specials was covered in I'm guessing sauce, and the table was sticky. The menu made no sense and after going through it a few times I realized there were $13 and $17 specials on a leaflet that was on the last page (usually these are near the front). I ordered from it because it was the perfect meal with a personal deep dish pizza, small salad of choice, and a mini pizookie. I also added a German pretzel because hot pretzel and beer cheese called to me. The service was slow. Our waitress was sweet and kept asking if everything looked okay which yes it did, but we had to ask for refills on our iced tea. It took 35 minutes for our mini pizookies to show up after she said she'd put the order in. It was the first time he's ever asked me: "Do we even need this item or can we leave?" We paid via the chip on the table because she didn't bring the bill, and we had already been there for so long. The food itself was delicious. I can be simple and happy lol. This location just desperately needs a ton of TLC. read more

BJ's Restaurant was ultimately the chosen destination. Notice that it has been about 3 years since I crossed the front portal. The tall lady hostess sat us by the window far from the main screen of the huge bar. We came for lunch and I silently wished to be somewhere else.. The lovely missus ordered a colorful "Beatles" inspired "Strawberry Fields forever Chicken Salad". She said it was a good salad but she did have to ask for more balsamic dressing. The grand daughter was eager to show her knowledge of bar drinks and orders a quick Margarita o/t Rocks with salt on rim. That came quick enough and it was a strong Tequila mix. Her lunch became a dinner of the Cajun crusted Salmon Dinner plate with tender broccoli over risotto. She does like the salmon, the broccoli maybe not so much. I actually thought an appetizer of the 10piece bone-in Wings with a sweet and sticky honey bbq coating would be a good start and an All American Smash cheese burger with French fries for my lunch. The wings were shared and I only missed carrot sticks which usually comes with a wings order at other places, but, the wings were good. My smashed burger on a brioche bun had a welcoming burger look. One bite of the cheesy double patty scored good points. The fries had a crispy crunchy coating. Joshua was our server and he was attentive to our needs. The dessert after our meals was pleasant. Three Pizookies of which one was to-go and the two mini ones came with the meal deal, we will indulge. Sugary caramel and chocolate chip topped with a vanilla induced scoop of icecream was a good ending. What was my trepidation, is now on the way side, as I enjoyed the wings and the French fries and the pizookie...yes and a strong kick of tequila when grand daughter offered a tiny taste. Long time patron, apparently first time reviewer! I could have sworn I've left reviews before. Anyway, my family and I came in last night and we were served by Kiara. She was super patient, helpful and literally made us feel like family while in the restaurant. I hope management know who and what they have with her, and give her sections with more business!!! Our pizza was delicious and crispy, beer and cocktails were fantastic (as always) and the pan fried dumplings app was delicious! Can't recommend this location enough. Its ambiance is immaculate and I've rarely had a bad experience. Finally, GET THE BEER CLUB if you even remotely enjoy beer. The value for what you pay is off the charts! Free pizza, appetizer, pizzookie, discounted six packs AND a beer drop?! So worth the $35 bucks. Run, don't walk to this particular BJ's!!!!! It's also basically across the street from their corporate headquarters, so it's the #1 place to be to try their new foods! read more

What the happened to BJ's Pizza? I've been here for other things (like their great lunch specials and happy hour) but haven't had a pizza for 6 months and it turns glorified Jeno's pizza? This tastes horrible. I didn't realize they reimagined their pizza at the end of last year. The crust is 1/3 thinner and like cardboard. The tomato sauce has no flavor and no longer has tomato chunks. The now all real mozzarella cheese was so scarce that it couldn't hold any of the toppings on the top of the pizza. They also moved from regular thin cuts of pepperoni to little cup and char. Their reasoning was that they wanted to capture the best of Chicago, New York and Detroit Pizza styles. Crisp pan edges, curly pepperoni, New York thin crust and Chicago doughy middle. They ended up with a pizza that tastes like a flavorless hardcover at a used book sale. The curly pepperoni is the only salvageable thing but I still prefer the old thinner pepperoni for their type of pizza. The service here at this location is always good. This is not a knock on the staff or the chefs. Did someone at corporate think this new version tasted better than the tried and true? Are they still employed? Just wondering. Like any man, I love BJ's, but not this kind. I will come back for the lunch specials, beer and some other food items but not the pizza. And that's the saddest thing to say. read more

This is a great location only 1 block north of the beach. Local parking garages with free 90 minute parking. Went there for lunch and they have an incredible pazookie daily special. You can choose from burger, pizza, salads and today I had chicken parmigiana! For under 15$ you get the meal and a pazookie. What is that you ask? It is a desert soft cookie with a scoop of ice cream on top. This restaurant has a patio or plenty of inside seating. The sliding doors were open and you could enjoy people walking by or even see the ocean from your table. Very nice. Good service, very good food and great price! All in a great location!! read more

One of our favorite restaurants in town. Other than being our favorite go-to for restaurant gift cards as Christmas gift for family, this BJ's is such a delightful restaurant to go to. The servers and other staff are always nice and highly trained, the food great and the crowd pleasant. We came on a Wednesday night for dinner and it's surprisingly still packed. I love my quite filling clam chowder, grilled veggies and tri-tip steak, while my husband enjoyed his baked potato, chili and rib-eye steak. By the time we got to our ice cream, we were stuffed. Our server Gavin was awesome..he had a slight oversight with my order but immediately took that mishap as an opportunity to take the extra mile in serving our dinner. BJs is such a convenient, big party, large menu with lots of variety restaurant. No wonder it is always packed no matter the time you show up. Being a big chain restaurant I can understand the mixed ratings, but I do believe when it comes to service not all BJs are created equal. We've been to several and I gotta say in some locations the service has been very frustrating. It's been either too slow or a huge lack of attention or we get an exhausted server that looks like you are the last table for the day so attentiveness has left before them. Anyway, apologies for my rambling but I just felt that the BJs at HB deserves a shot-out. Out of all the BJs we've had the chance to visit, this one has always had the best service and most attentive staff. There are nights we see how swamped they are so we also practice our patience when they can't get to us right away. Even then, most severs are pleasant, friendly and hard working. We are regulars here so we've gotten to know some of the staff by names and we genuinely enjoy coming. Since we almost always order the same drinks, they'll sometimes just confirm our usual order, which we think is pretty cool! So shot-out to BJs at HB for their awesome service! Love coming here for their $13 deal! There's a menu you can pick from and a mini pizookie is included! Their smashed burger is pretty good! I've been coming back for that. Of course their pizzas are always good too. For happy hour, the spinach dip and avocado eggrolls are always a hit. Service was okay. Last time I was here it was for dinner on a Monday. A bit crowded because of foot ball. But no problem getting a table. You can also join the waitlist ahead of time online. read more

Online ordering is horrible. Every time I place an order it takes MUCH longer than they specify. My order was placed at 6:05 for a 6:30 pick up, it's still not ready at 7:00! I don't have all night to wait, my kid needs to get to bed and have some dinner! Pathetic. At least fix your system to be accurate with the timing, if I knew it would be an hour I would go somewhere else! Probably won't order again. The only reason I did order is because I had a coupon card from the last time they forgot half my order. Something is wrong with management or training here- this team is clearly not customer focused. Editing now that I got home: My food did not have the gravy it was supposed to have on top. My strawberry shortcake Pizookie had no toppings included. And lastly the marinara sauce for my mozzarella sticks was so hot it melted some of the plastic container that is not supposed to be for hot food! read more

Stopped by on Mother's Day knowing it would be busy, but I was able to find easy seating at the bar right away. Heather greeted me promptly, took my drink order, and brought it out quickly. I went ahead and ordered a Dubai chocolate pizookie since I knew it would take a bit, and planned to order food after. She mentioned she'd give me another minute, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, things got busy and about 15 minutes passed with no follow-up before my pizookie arrived. By the time Heather came back again nearly 20 minutes later to check in, I had already had my menu taken by the server who dropped my pizookie. She asked if everything was "still good" and I said I gave my menu to the other server because she never came back and I no longer had time to place a food order between shifts. She was still very friendly and said, 'I got you,' and did bring a fresh root beer refill. At that point I ended up just having the pizookie and root beer for dinner, which was actually good--but not what I originally planned. Service was kind, just a bit inconsistent with timing during a very busy shift. I'd still come back, just maybe with lower expectations for pacing on a holiday. read more
