My party of seven made reservations for Sunday7/14/24 at 5:30 to celebrate a birthday. We arrived on time and were promptly seated. We waited about ten minutes for our waitperson to order our beverages which were delivered after another ten minute wait. At this time we ordered our entrees at approximately at 5:55. Also, one of the Diet Pepsi drinks had a white object floating on the top that had to be replaced by the waitperson. At 6:45 a gentleman approached our table ( assumed the manager) and told us he was sorry for the wait and would check on our food. He came back and inform us the food would be delayed a little longer and he would discount our check. Our meals arrived in shifts, the first at 7:00 and the last at 7:10. As for the food: the shrimp was greasy and undercooked, mashed potatoes dried out and hard, broccoli was tasteless, and the burgers were overcooked. Also, we planned to order dessert but asked for our check when our last meal was delivered because of the slow service. The waitperson apologized for all the delays and got our check immediately. Even with the discount and apologies my family and I will be hard pressed to patronize this establishment in the future. read more

Ugh, no. I should have learned from my earlier experience at the BJ's in Hagerstown, but being a glutton for punishment, decided to try this one in mid-August. My wife got the Chicken Club sandwich which turned out to be meh. I got the Smokehouse Burger which most decidedly had been frozen beforehand. The burger also was meh, nothing to write home about. No discernible seasonings or real taste. Even A-1 didn't do much to help the taste. Saturday at mid-afternoon yielded a lower employee count which resulted in very slow food delivery - almost 30 minutes to get our food! Nice server but was stretched too thin. This will be a hard pass for food options in the future when in the Lancaster area. read more

The staff is not very happy at all and brought the atmosphere down. We were privileged to hearing and seeing an argument about the wet floor and how a server breaks glasses everyday he is on shift. Then said across a few tables but I love you. Lol we ordered app. And what we wanted was sold out so we ordered another along with nachos. When the waitress brought out the nachos we were then informed our other order was sold out and told sorry as she moved onto working with the next table. The food was great but no refills were offered or additional napkins. Another table next to us complained about their food, and another husband and wife complained about the wait time. We typically place larger take out orders for my family, and the restaurant is very accommodating to our dietary restrictions and allergies. I have never had a problem with cross contamination, and everything comes out great. I'm typically served by Sam or Isaiah, and both are very respectful and hardworking. read more

Last night we were on a serious time crunch. The host said we could sit at one of the tables near the bar. We told the server we had to get out by 5:30pm. We ordered, our food came, we ate, server brought boxes and the bill and we made it out before 5:30pm. Really great service and the food was very good! read more

Here's the timeline for my random mid-week visit: got in at 6:20, party of two seated by 7, received food at 7:55. And when I say food, I mean guac and chips and the appetizer-sized flatbread pizza. So maybe the kitchen is still working out kinks. But the food was good. From the large, diverse menu, I ordered three appetizer/small plate options. The honey sirracha roasted Brussels sprouts were really good - just the right amount of sweet and heat - as was my appetizer-sized flatbread pizza. The menu only shows a white pizza option for the appetizer, but if you ask, they'll substitute whatever toppings you want. I went for the Italian market. Good choice. The third appetizer I ordered was the guac and chips. The guacamole wasn't my favorite - needed some cilantro or garlic or something - but was passable and at least seemed fresh-made. The only drink I got to try from the bar is the Oasis Amber - very smooth, not too much body. I'd like to try the Jeremiah Red, which seems like a more-malty version of the Amber, and the Hopstorm IPA. Next time. For my gluten-free hubby, I was pleased to see they not only had a Berry Burst cider on the menu, but also gluten-free flatbreads and a chocolate-chip pizookie, which looks like a deep-dish cookie topped with ice cream. Unfortunately, it took so long to get dinner that we couldn't stay for dessert. The place was packed, so service was a little slower than I'd like, and our waitress got slammed with our two-top, a four-top, and a six-top all within 5 minutes, which certainly didn't help. I like the texting system they have for letting you know when your table is ready, but the hostess station definitely seemed disorganized. There were at least four people at the door running this way and that, not getting much accomplished. I think there's potential here to be more than just A-ok, so we'll be back. Just might have to give it more time to get the ridiculous wait-times and new-restaurant kinks worked out. read more

I used to really enjoy BJs, however this time I was unbelievably disappointed by them. Our server never introduced herself, and was acting rude the whole dinner. She never once came back to check on how our food was. My wings quite literally tasted like the Bean-Boozled throw up flavor jelly beans. I noticed the restaurant had bugs crawling on the window, and the place had a weird lingering smell. My waiter never came back to fill our water, I asked and she gave me an attitude. We had to eat our dessert on the edge of the table due to our plates still being on the table. The pazookies was the only good experience , they are always gonna hit! The only time she ever smiled was when she handed us the check and remembered that tips exist. read more

Came here with a friend a week or so before COVID19 really hit our community so we were able to dine in. She arrived before me on a busy Saturday and was already seated at a communal hightop table by the bar. We were looking forward to catching up more than anything and I didn't have a big appetite. While she is a regular this was my first time. Because I wasn't hungry and don't drink I ended up ordering one of their small plates consisting of a small order of meatballs with mashed potatoes. It was cooked well and came out promptly. Honestly it reminded me of Ikea Swedish meatballs and I would order it again. The portion size was decent for the price of $10 My friend's daughter had ordered spaghetti sans the meatballs because she doesn't eat alot of meat. When her bill came we were all astonished as they didn't give an allowance for the lack of meat and charged the full price of $17. I suggested to my friend that she bring this to the attention of our server and ask if she could have the meatballs to go to eat herself later. She did and he obliged. However this left me a little salty as he should have suggested it prior. Our service otherwise was spot on and attentive. My friend ordered several drinks and we asked for separate checks, which he got correct. I would have preferred not to be seated at a communal table as the other diners were pretty close to us and I found them (and my friend) interjecting in each other's conversations. It was also very loud. Our table near the bar was also near the door which had an overflow of waiters in close proximity adding to the noise level. Three stars because the meatballs were good but pretty basic, the noise level, the seating situation, as well as the meatball debacle. I would give them another chance, on a less busy evening, requesting a private booth away from the bar. read more

So this is one of a few times that I've been here, and this has been by far one of the greatest experiences. The service was incredible, and saying it was fast is an understatement. Our drinks were at the table in less than a minute, and all of their staff worked well together to ensure our meal was a positive experience. Our waiter Ivor, and all help including the manager (who helped bring out food) did an excellent; more so, a top notch job. All of our food was prepared perfectly, and came out in a timely manner. The Pizookie Trio is definitely a must have as a dessert, and you can't go wrong. I'd recommend this place to anyone. read more

My friend and I went here for a nice lunch. We both ordered the chicken with bongo bongo dip. When the chicken arrived I noticed it had a pink hue as seen in the photo. Upon cutting the chicken it was not fully cooked. Our server did not check on us and when we informed her we were uncomfortable consuming the chicken she informed us that the chef checks internal temperatures and it should be fine. When we spoke with a manager we were informed the chef said it was fine and they couldn't do anything about it. At no point were we offered to cook the meat, or a different meal. They took a very small portion off of our bill and forced us to pay for food we did not consume. I'm still baffled at this terrible experience. read more

We come here for Mother's Day. They hand out gifts - this year was a wine glass. We got there early and were the only table. It was very cool having the restaurant to ourselves. The staff was amazing and extremely accommodating. We were taking pictures and they moved stuff for 'better pictures '. They were very kind. Our food was fabulous and delicious. I love how when they bring out pizza, even if it's a small personal one, they still plate it for you - I just think that is a kind gesture. The manager even stopped by and wanted to know if our experience was nice - maybe it's because we were the only ones there but it still was nice. I passed BJ's for months and months and finally decided to go in and try it out. The atmosphere is energetic, there is a lot going on, and it's a very busy place on a weekend night. Our waitress was exceptional, really prompt, very attentive, and quick to serve us. Unfortunately I cannot recommend anything with soba noodles. While our meals looked and sounded great based on the menu description, it was extremely heavy in wasabi and we were both very disappointed. I think our waitress noticed this as she brought us a complimentary refill on our mozzarella sticks. Overall, while we had a good time, if we try BJ's again we'll stick to something less risky. I'd probably recommend this location as long as you stick with American-fare. read more

Ordered here last night, was excited to get it. My soup was cold and was definitely a few days old as it was salty and not much to it. They also put the tort strips in and they were mush. I've been to BJ's twice now and it's been a good experience. The lighting and atmosphere is great, I really like the open glass between the dining area and the kitchen. I like restaurants that have nothing to hide. The food has always been great with lots of choices and healthy options but the portions are pretty small for what you pay for. Our server barely talked to us but was very diligent in getting us our beverages and food. The only major negative was that they made my coke and rum way way to strong. And the glass was tiny so it was mostly rum haha. Which some people might not mind but a good coke and rum should be at least 50% coke. But other than that everything was good. read more

My fiancé claims this is his favorite restaurant, and since he has the palate of a toddler it kinda does make sense! But there are some good eats to be had here. The atmosphere reminds me of an Applebee's or Friday's with lots of TVs and a convivial vibe. The drinks here steal the show. Apparently they make their own soda and beer...I tried the root beer which was fantastic, and I dint even like root beer. For an app we ordered the chicken thighs with cherry chipotle glaze. I wish they bottled that sauce because I'd definitely buy it, it was sweet and spicy and delicious. For entrees we split a mini deep dish pizza and the baked ziti. I was not wild about the baked ziti because it was quite dry. It looked like they may have actually forgotten the sauce. The deep dish pizza was pretty good but I have no basis for comparison. The desserts were also pretty good, the monkey bread with ice cream being the runaway winner. There's something for everyone here and I would definitely stop in again if I'm in town. read more

I was shocked by the quality of the food! Large portions for sure. We ordered Boneless wings as an appetizer, very plentiful. My dinner was the glazed pork chops with 2 sides. My sides , a bowl of chili and garlic vegetables. Needless to say the pork chops and vegetables were my lunch the following day. Everything was good, we sat at the bar. We are regulars here. We are yet to have a bad meal. They are so organized during this COVID time. I had chicken barbacoa. The chicken was prepared excellently. My only complaint was it could have used a bit more salsa. My wife had the ribs, which she said was good, but was a bit over sauced. My daughter had the enlightened salmon which she said was excellent. We had the hamburger sliders which were good, but a bit over cooked, they were slightly dry. Overall good experience, friendly staff. We ordered on the app today. We started with the cheese curds which were delicious as always. I typically don't write reviews for chains but since I grew up on this in California, it's hard not to for this gem now that it is here in PA. So why come to BJ's instead of another sports bar? Well now that I can drink - all the craft beer anyone? What BJ's offers that is unique to most chain sports bar is their own beers. I love going in and trying their new beers every time. Recently I had the cru with friend and wow do I recommend that beer to you. What I've had here has been their deep dish pizzas (had the california) and flat breads - do both and they are fail-proof. My fondest memories are of the pizzookie and the appetizer plate they've had since forever. If you don't know what a pizzookie is...please check yourself and get to a nearest BJs. I was surprised now the amount of flavors they have instead of the basic chocolate chip. They now have monkey bread and salted caramel? Anyways, if you've never had one, it's a freshly baked warm cookie in a "cookie" dish delivered with cold vanilla ice cream typically on top. They now have a small size (personal size so you don't have guilt) and the normal/ regular size you typically share. As for the appetizer plate, I just love it because I have a secret basic love for their avocado eggrolls and their spinach dip. Seriously their spinach dip is legendary. And when combined with the recent stuffed mushrooms I had, trust me. You need to try it. Its a great place if you just want to have a beer and hang out or have dinner and catch up. read more

BJ's in my opinion is consistently delicious. Their parmesan chicken in a butter sauce is so delicious. The basil and sun-dried tomatoes are a nice touch as well. The white cheddar mashed potatoes are also yummy. Their prime rib is some of the best around and it's tons of food. Their steak wedge salad and flatbreads are always tasty and consistently so. You really can't go wrong here and I highly recommend their amazingly delectable pizookies! read more

Losuy service and host. We arrived for our secheduled time and were informed they had no servers who could wait on our table. They seemed to have at least 4 working but the host was not interested in seating us even with our call ahaed reservation. Waited 40 minutes with just the explanation no servers had arrived. Don't think they had any intention of sitting our group of six. When we arrived restaurant was empty. We left and they made no apology for their poor service. Host just said California did not schedule any help. Will not ever go back to this place. What a dump. read more

Drinka ans Food: Was great, tried their version of a Blue Moon beer, instead of hints of citrus or orange it had hint of banana which was pretty good. Also tried their Mediterranean deep dish pizza, a little on the salty side but was very delicious! I got a mini size which was the perfect amount for me. For appetizers we also tried their fried Brussels sprouts drizzled in a sirichi cream base sauce and that was pretty good too. Service: Got seated right away, but after that service was really slow. 080618 Get the Entree Cobb salad. It was huge, it was filling and it was delicious! The place is open, clean, well lit. A little pricey but it's worth it. Our server was polite, efficient and as my wife said, "good looking guy". She recommends the Tomato Bisque soup. our daughter had a steak and she enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, plenty of TV's to watch or if your facing the other way, can watch the food get prepared through the observation window. Talk about transparency. I would recommend this restaurant and I would be inclined to coming back. However I have one thought. I don't want to sound condescending (that means to talk down to). BJ's has always had one of the largest menus I've seen. PRE-COVID I believe the spiral bound menu provided had 25 pages, and most of those items are still on the menu I believe. Huge selection of foods of all kinds, and same for the drinks. Their food is always great quality, servers have always been attentive and friendly, and they're priced great as well. read more

The experience was neither bad nor good...but as expected: average. The service was friendly and efficient however some menu items were not as tasty as others. the pizza was decent and appetizer brussel sprouts and fried mushrooms both were enjoyable. I enjoyed the beers however the magnpolia peach and root of evil ginger IPA were the favorites but blonde and stout were good. My wife ordered steak which was a little overcooked and the salad sort of doggy but I would come back for lunch or happy hour to see if the kitchen has smoothed out the kinks read more

We used the website to be added to the "waiting list", which gave no wait time. So when we arrived, I checked in, and was told it would be 15 min instead of 35 like the actual wait for walk-ins. Waited 25 minutes. The menu is vast and many things sounded good, but I ordered the "loaded" nachos appetizer. It was nothing but chips and cheese, a few jalapeños, a dollop of sour cream, literally 10 small cubes of chicken, and a tiny little dish of salsa. No guacamole. It was a disappointing visit.
