Came in on Father's Day for a last minute meal. I was able to make a reservation online just a few hours in advance. Our party of 4 was seated right away, unfortunately we ended up waiting over 20 minutes before anyone greeted us. I had to flag down a server to ask who our server was. Eventually she came over and apologized. The experience was uphill from there as the server offered us a complimentary app. The sampler plate was good. I got their Sunday special which was a prime rib meal with starter salad, two sides, and a pizookie dessert for 33.99. My wedge salad was great. The prime rib was fine, although pretty fatty, but it was a good size. The pizookie was a pleasant surprise. We got the strawberry shortcake which came with a sugar cookie, real strawberries and a little syrup and ice cream on top. It was really good and tasted super fresh. Big place. Lots of beer to choose from and you can do a 4 sampler. Cherry chipotle salmon wasnt bad. Decently healthy. The garlic vegetables I replaced the asparagus with were woefully undercooked and the salmon was pretty dry/cooked past well done. The double chocolate pizookie was delicious. What an absolutely horrible restaurant and a dreadful experience over all that lasted over two hours. Our waiter was so discombobulated. He had a person trailing behind him who did absolutely nothing and said absolutely nothing. It took over three tries just to get the checks right. The service industry has lost its way. Slow Tuesday night and friends from out of town and I couldnt sit in the bar area because there were 5 of us. The laziness of people today is absolutely epidemic. The lady bartending was pleasant and told us to sit wherever. After waiting several minutes with no service, some guy comes over and tells us we cant sit in the area because there are no servers. He could move us to a table where evidently a magical server could then take our order. This is a nice building and Im sure it has a ton of overhead with rent and utilities but it must be doing so well that $300+ can walk out because somebody couldnt walk an extra 10 feet to where we were sitting. I went here with my daughter. It was kind of busy so we sat at the bar. We were never greeted when we walked in as no staff was available to speak, or let us know what was going on. We stood there about 10 minutes waiting and seeing the staff but no came to the front to say anything. Finally we finally just went over to the bar and asked if we can just sit there. It took awhile for someone to come over to us and help us. It definitely appears like they need more staff and help. On the other hand the food was delicious. I had the steak and wedge salad and the steak was cooked to perfection and the salad was tasty. My daughter said her burger and fries were really good and my cocktail was good, but not really strong. Surprising to see so many bad reviews here. I came here straight after work for a happy hour work hangout and had a great time! It was on a Monday where there were not many people at all. I got a mocktail that the bartender suggested and it was great! They made me a mango mint seltzer with popping boba! Then we got some appetizers--wings, mac n cheese balls, chicken potstickers, flatbread. The potstickers were good but I wish the random filler that came with the dish were easier to eat. It was the plasticky fried white wisps but if it could've been subbed with a simple Asian slaw, that would elevate the dish. There weren't many people and it didn't take long to get actual drinks (beers, mocktails, etc.) but I waited for more than 10+ min for a water. The first time I asked for one, I didn't get it at all! I thought the taste, presentation were all pretty good and I did like the variety. However, two types of the appetizers we ordered were just out even though it was only 5:30pm. We stopped by BJ's, already knowing that we'd order the $13 Pizookie Meal Deal. The place was packed with happy people, and we became another set. Our server, Alexis, handled the order with flair and care. My friend and I both chose the Strawberry Fields Salad with Chicken. Perfect choice for a hot summer day. We selected our Pizookies with care: so many choices, only one for each of us today. (We'll be back to try others soon!). I devoured the Personal Salted Caramel, and my friend's Personal Cookies and Cream disappeared quickly. We appreciated the attention by Alexis and really enjoyed the food. Honestly had the absolute worst experience here. First asked if we could seat ourselves at the bar bc there was no one at host station and they were like whatever...seriously? Then we sit and it takes about 10-15 min to be acknowledged-- which it was then we should have cut our losses and left but we hoped it would be better. Finally we get a drink. Then we order our food. I order the Thursday night special and all seems ok -- fast forward 35 min and she says sorry we don't have tri tip. Uhm so now what? She says we don't have it so finally we get frustrated and say we will just take my husbands tavern cut pizza to go (it also hadn't came out yet) we wait another 20 min/- pretty sure non of our food had been ordered and finally it comes. Lady at the takeout counter is very nice and gave wonderful recommendations for pizookie flavors - got salted caramel in this picture (which is quite popular) and have gotten oreo prior. I recommend if you're doing takeout, order ahead of time in the app for a scheduled time. Otherwise, the wait could be 15 min or more. For takeout, the pizookie comes a bit flat and really harder than I expected. This could be due to the 35 min drive home, but I suspect that's just how they come at takeout. I took it out of the tin and wrapped it in a wet paper towel and microwaved for 30 sec to soften it a bit, as that's how I like it. The ice cream they have is not bad. My food- ordered the crispy chicken sandwich n fries, ima retired restaurant manager of 30 years and I'm not sure what the holding procedure was on that chicken but it was luke warm and certainly not fresh cuz the breading was burnt and hard as a rock to the point I had to peel it off. Just to consume it!!! It was bad...I had 2 guests with me, I guess their food was ok, they finished theirs, I had to pick up the check which made me even more annoyed. I had to ask for mayo cuz the sandwich came with no condiments on it, I couldn't imagine trying to eat it without anything on it. Everything else in the area was closed for the night (about 10:30ish) so we figured we'd pick up a pizza from BJ's and head back to our hotel across the street. Took 15 minutes for the bartender to knowledge us, another 5 to get our drinks. At that point I watched two couples sit down at the bar, (which had PLENTY of open seats) get up and walk out. After that we ordered the pizza, which was actually good, however it took 45 minutes at least to get it. The bartender gave us plates, napkins, and silverware since i told him we were staying in a hotel. The old fashioned I had was not very good, all I tasted was bourbon but that's not something to complain about. Needless to say I'll avoid this place next time I'm in town. The mini pizza came on that plate instead of the usual pizza pan so it got cold quickly. I completely understand the cost of everything now so I get that everything is more expensive but it honestly wasn't worth the $15 price tag. I ate one piece and brought the rest home to heat up later. The pizookie was really good; the cookie was thinner than the last BJ's I got one at. The fish and chips was better than it looked. Yeah this place is so weird . So I asked the server what do they recommend, steaks were the recommendation. Ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out medium well after a super long wait for the food, the steak was butterflied. So I sent it back and it came out raw as the server said your meal will be discounted. Asked for the manager and he asked me what I wanted to do. I said I want a steak not raw or well done. We dined here on a Thursday afternoon around 230. The restaurant wasn't busy at all but when we walked in, there was no hostess there to greet us. It took about 4-5mins before someone finally came to greet us. We were immediately seated and given waters. Our waitress was very nice. She took our drink and appetizer orders. It took about 20 mins to get the drinks. We all wanted to order their bone in wings because they looked very good on the menu, but we were told they were out of bone in wings! So we had to settle for boneless wings instead. I ordered the wings and spinach artichoke dip as my entree and another person also ordered boneless wings. It took a while for our food to come out. And when it did, the wings and the dip were both cold. I sent it back and was told that they were "reheating and retossing them" that sounded odd because why not just recook them all together! Who wants heated chicken?!?! When i got it back, it still wasn't as hot as i would've liked it but warmer than the first time. The spinach dip really had no taste at all. The chicken strawberry salad and the pizza was the only thing i thought was really good. The drink was also very good too. I believe the slow service is what bothered me the most especially because it was not a busy time! Our table could've been attended to much more and the food all together was just ok with me.
