Just grub hubbed BJs to my dorm and they forgot my WHOLE PIZZZA. I was completely heart broken and devastated after a long hard day on my feet and finally being able to get my hands on a warm pizza. This guy will have a conversation with you about anything and everything when you sit at his bar top, he takes great care of his guests and is always positive never negative. I like BJ's for a chain restaurant. The food is consistently good and overall the service is good too. The pizookies are really good and they offer several types. No matter where I am across the country I love this restaurant. The food is always amazing and my husband and I always have a great experience. The place is always busy and the service is great. I am giving BJs 1 star due to prices. We used to eat there at least monthly. We've cut way back due to the price increases, eating there once a quarter. Food still good, service good. Ambiance good. Value is terrible. We went tonight because of a birthday coupon for a free pazookie. My usual Friday night entree is their fish and chips. It is good. Two years ago the entree was $13.95. Tonight it was $19.45, an almost 50% increase. We won't go back to BJs until next year when I get the free pazookie birthday coupon. The value is terrible. If prices matter to you then go elsewhere. BJ's is FIRED!!! After at least two prior screwups, we made the mistake of giving them "one more chance." Ordered baked salmon ("Do not overcook.") They overcooked it... again. Ordered & paid for mashed potatoes. NOT delivered. Manager's excuse, "Maybe they fell out of the bag." Hmmm... maybe whatever manager failed to initial the receipt "Order verified by:," also failed to include them! We NEVER requested Drop-And-Go on our doorstep. We found the cold meals about 15 minutes after the apparent drop-and-go time. Manager's excuse, "Delivery services are YOUR responsibility, not ours!" Hmmm... it seems like that was an option on the "BJ's Web Site for Delivered Orders." What a waste of $63!!! NEVER AGAIN!! My wife and I stopped in here for lunch while in the area. I can't remember the name of the burger I had but it was delicious. My wife had the french dip. She was not so impressed. Gristle and fat riddled the meat. Many of the bites she had to spit out because of the fat. She said what she could eat was good. The real down fall was the long black hair I found under the fries after I had consumed almost all of my lunch. The lunch started out with ice tea that tasted like it had turned and we were told it was just made. Then my brother asked for clam chowder and they were out. When my sister's order of Tri-tip came, it also was tasting a bit old/off. The service was also lacking in that we waited 20 minutes for pepper that 2 different servers were told to please get for the table for our salad. The entree came before the pepper. Needless to say, even though the manager came over, not much was done to compensate for our negative experience. The salmon was tasty as was the ahi salad, but the overall experience for a special birthday get together was overshadowed by the handling of the other problems. BJ's is always solid. They have good food, a spacious atmosphere, and plenty of TVs for football season. My wife and I both got the Thursday rib special--a half rack, two sides, a salad, and a pizookie (this cookie thing with ice cream that's pretty awesome) for 13.99 each. The ribs were tender, the house salad dressing was unique, and the white cheddar mashed potatoes are almost as good as my wife's homemade potatoes. We each got a BJs beer too. This was the only subpar part of our experience. My wife's blonde was "a little off" according to her (though she said she would have got another one--typical), and my Hopstorm IPA tasted more like a Hefeweizen. This place has a huge dining soace with tall ceilings, and the bar area is open seating. Our server, Sean, was a nice guy. He seemed down to earth and genuine, and he got us everything in good time. Minus the somewhat funky beer (I've had the red before and it's good; it'll be my choice next time), this place is a great choice for a date night, family dinner, or a few drinks and the game. read more

Extremely disappointed with our dinner tonight. Party of 4. Everything from the appetizers to the entrées were subpar. Tasted like they started buying ingredients from the lowest bidder. What's worse is the prices have actually gone up. One burger, a salad, medium pizza & a side of wings (3 soft drinks) - $90. Ridiculously over priced for the quality of food. I went to BJ's to watch the football game with a few of my friends. We knew that other places, like Applebee's or any other restaurant on campus (ex. Frog and Firkin) would be super crowded, so we sought out another place that wouldn't be too packed. I'm glad that we chose to go to BJ's. It wasn't crowded at all and we could focus on the game and have conversations without having to shout. We sat in the bar area, so there were lots of TV screens. The bar atmosphere was awesome as well, with the bottles organized in a very neat manner. The service and the management here was amazing. The server checked in quite often, and was very attentive. When I walked into the restaurant, a waiter immediately asked me if I was looking for a group of people, and walked me to them. Although there was a good amount of people within the restaurant, he made sure to make us feel cared for. I had one of the best services that I've experienced. I got a cider and a salad, both of which were delicious. The cider wasn't strong at all; it was fruity and sweet, just the way that I wanted it. I believe it's one of the more popular kinds of cider that they have, and I can see why. I would recommend it. As for the salad, I got the Asian salad with the dressing on the side. The salad was huge - I couldn't finish it all, but I enjoyed every bite of it. Lastly, I want to comment on the restaurant's cleanliness. I know that I sometimes take restaurants and their level of cleanliness for granted, but I've gone to some restaurants where their service and food is fine, but their restaurant is unclean. BJ's was spotless, both in the restaurant and in the bathroom. I was impressed, actually, by how clean it was. So... 5 stars pretty much sums this place up. Where's the cheese? That's what I was asking when I got my deep dish pizza, the "BJ's Favorite." The photo in the menu made it look a lot more appetizing than it really was. There was hardly any cheese. You know, cheese? The thing that really makes a pizza? And so overpriced! A 6" pizza for $15? Then my daughter got a chicken salad. It was humongous. She thought it was OK, but nothing outstanding. More big bucks. The deep fried cheese curds were kind of addicting. Their homemade rootbeer was pretty good. But seriously, look over the menu. Everything is so stinkin' expensive. I should have just gone to Old Chicago's. Things are a bit pricey there, too, but not as much as BJ's. And their pizza is decent, too. Service was friendly and attentive. They have large screen TVs everywhere for you sports fans. Atmosphere was OK. Just will not be returning. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Don't bother with this place -- customer service is horrible. First, we get to the restaurant. Hostess has us stand in the walkway while her and a server(?) stand there and gossip about who is the best hostess/server blah blah blah I was trying to tune them out and be seated but they thought it was a good idea to just have us stand there while she holds our menu's and silverware half taking us to the table but having us just stand awkwardly and watch them chat. I'd have no problem sitting and waiting for you to finish the conversation, just don't leave us standing there listening to your pointless drivel. We get seated, great! Or not! We sat there for 10-15 minutes while server after server walked right by without acknowledging we existed. Finally our server, which was a girl that walked by 5 times (ignoring us) comes over and starts out with "SORRY! It's a SHIT show here!" Off to a great start already. By this time we are ready to order, we order our apps, drinks, entrees everything goes by fine. Server didn't come over once after giving us our food my drinks empty she's MIA. I'm not really one of those jerk customers either, I don't need special attention. I just need my food and water/drink filled up once or twice. You do that, you are polite, you get a 20% tip not a problem. Going out to eat is a privilege for some people so I know tipping is part of the deal -- but so is half decent service. Anyway, we are done with the meal and need boxes. Server still MIA but she happened to poke her head from the register area and yell out "YOU GUYS NEED BOXES???" First, there's no need to yell in the restaurant. Second, the key word here is customer service, that means you walk to the table and, using your inside voice say, "can I get a box for your meals?" Pretty simple if you ask me. End of meal, at this point I'm ready to get the hell out of this place, food was meh, but what else can you expect from a chain restaurant -- nothing notable. I have a gift card that would cover part of the meal, which I hand to the server. She comes back 2 minutes later with the card and receipt. "We have a problem processing these i don't know how to do it." Gives us the receipt and is about to walk off. Well I ask, "does anyone else know?" She says, "no you can scan this QR code and try to figure it out yourself." If I wanted to put it all on my regular card I would have.... I don't want a BJ's gift card and I certainly don't want one after this went down. Wouldn't you think that if you didn't know how to do something in your job you would ask someone more senior? Maybe get a manager? Nope this place's reaction is "let the customer figure out a gift card that we are supposed to take." Another server comes by to grab our plates and I ask him politely, "hi do you know how to use this gift card by chance? Our server said she didn't." His response was, "oh no I don't know how to do that either." So he grabs the plates and walks off. I'm sitting here wondering if this is standard operating procedure for BJ's restaurants so I'm done with the place. I pay my bill online and give an 18% tip because I'm not gonna be the guy that stoops down to BJ's level. My only request is that BJ's uses my tip to help get these people some education on customer service/how to use a register. Potentially lessons on critical thinking. Probably won't go back again but 10/10 would recommend if you want to test your patience at a restaurant or if you want to be evil and ruin someone's evening with a classic BJ's experience read more

Is it a chain? Yes! Is it the best Beer you ever had? No! But it's well made, it's clean and free of off flavors, and still a big step up from the big 2! Some of the specialty beers are actually very tasty! Goliath Imperial Red is a big beast, and if you're a hop lover like me, you'll appreciate it! First timer at this location. Arrived about 6:30 PM last night for dinner. Seated right away, party of two. Server was Luis. He greeted us fairly quickly and took our drink orders as well as offered to take our food order as well. SURE! We were starving, so that worked out well. Ordered all appetizers: Calamari, Pot Stickers & Wings. Wings we requested mixed the Nashville and the Buffalo Hot together. It's really good, try it! Our food came zippy! We've never received such a fast turn around time from ordering to service. Kudos to the kitchen! After we finished out meal the manager Jermey came by to grab our empty plates. I wanted to express to him how impressed I was with the speediness of our meals. My wife and I were traveling and spent the night in Tucson. We were looking for a good restaurant and decided to try BJ's. We had never heard of it before so we decided to give it a try. We both ordered hamburger plates, I had the mushroom and Swiss burger, my wife just had a hamburger, both orders came with fries. The burgers were excellent and very juicy and tasty, the service was good too. We enjoyed our experience here so much we decided to find a BJ's in Scottsdale during our visit there (I'm not writing a review for that location, although our experience was not as positive at the Scottsdale BJ's as it was at the one in Tucson). Anyway, we enjoyed our visit at the Tucson location so much we will be looking for other BJ's locations during our travels to see if we can match our experience here. read more

My wife got burgers from this place a week ago and they were good...so we decided to try some other items. I ordered the deep dish pizza extreme, house salad and my wife got wings and cheese kurds. The pizza was okay, almost no sauce, bUt was kinda soggy so maybe someone had wet hands? It was still tasty....the fried kurds were absolutely horrible, having the consistency of old hard chewing gum and over fried...they must get them in a frozen package?? I recommend the franchisee take a trip to Casey Jones in Phoenix to get an idea of what REAL cheese kurds taste like. I have to say our service was above par as she kept giving our tabLes refills without asking, excellent service. I gave 4 stars because of tHe kurds and soggy weird pizza. I asked to get it re fired and she got me a whole new burger, that was nice of her but it still came out undercooked and my stomach was hurting after eating the first one so I just threw it away.. We went to the BJ's on Broadway for a late lunch. First impressions were not good. There was an overflowing trash can near the front door and trash everywhere on the ground. Service was fine but the food was not worth the price we paid. There are only two things I would order again...the cole slaw and the pazooki and even it was stuck to the pan around the edges. The ribs were dry and had about a half cup of meat on them total, the asparagus was overcooked and the mashed potatoes were soupy. The prime rib dip was OK but just small bits and pieces and the au jus was extremely salty. The Caesar salad was chopped lettuce, dressing and cheese in a bowl...no croutons. BJ's used to be a favorite of ours but the last two time we were there is was just disappointing. There are better places to eat in Tucson. read more
