Our last 3 dining experiences at BLACK ANGUS have been challenging. The last one was 2 weeks ago and the ribs were not cooked to temp and our guest that ordered them had an immediate reaction of food poisoning. We had planned a movie after dinner, but the entire remainder of our day in ER. We went to Black Angus for dinner on 03-DEC-25 to celebrate my wife's birthday. Everything was fine up until we walked in through the front door. The 2 hostess's were busy helping a customer out with an online order. It seemed like forever but we persevered. When the hostess's were done, they didn't acknowledge us for whatever reason. Then the former customer came back and cut the line in front of us with more questions regarding his order. We felt invisible and I voiced a question to one of the hostesses, she didn't acknowledge us, make eye contact or anything. Again, I told her that if they didn't wait on us we were going to go elsewhere, she didn't respond and could obviously care less. We left and went to the Texas Roadhouse just down the road. Great service from our friendly and knowledgeable waiter, Sam. The calamari was delicious, the salad and potato perfect. Two of the three steaks were overcooked. My rare filet was more like medium and my husband's ribeye a solid medium instead of medium rare. The filet was tender and juicy so I didn't bother with sending it back. My husband didn't send his back because he didn't want to make everyone wait. So we didn't say anything. When we go back we will be extremely specific about it. This was my first time eating at Black Angus Steakhouse. I ordered the Steak & Lobster Trio which included 6oz Top Sirloin, Lobster Tail, Roasted Garlic & Fresh Herb Butter (additional charge), Loaded Baked Potato Soup, Fried Shrimp and Mac & Cheese. The food was nicely seasoned for my tase (not bland or overly seasoned). The sirloin steak was tender and cooked as requested (well done). I would recommend ordering a larger steak if you want more meat. I thought the 6oz was small. Surprisingly, the Mac & Cheese was really good. From my experience, most restaurants do not make good Mac & Cheese. The Roasted Garlic Fresh Herb butter was fantastic. Definitely nice to have from your traditional butter. I have yet to eat the Loaded Baked Potato Soup. As for the lobster tail, that was disappointing. There was a large shell but very little lobster meat. The friend shrimp was good but very small pieces in case you're expecting more. My order was take-out so I cannot comment on the wait service or ambience of the restaurant. Not a great experience, primarily because we didn't know we were eating at Black Angus Steakhouse. We ordered online from Bad Ass Burgers. The website said that. The directions said that. But there is no location with that sign. Even GPS shows it as a separate location from the restaurant. Maybe I should have put two and two together with BA but I didn't so I'm getting more and more frustrated driving in circles looking for this place to pick up my to go order. And for what they charge, things should have gone better with the food as well. We ordered burgers (duh). One medium (overcooked) and one well done (WAY undercooked) and fried zucchini which was too salty to eat. $50 for food we ate 1/3 of. My burger also wasn't seasoned worth a dang and was dry dry dry. We went here on Thanksgiving Day this year. Hadn't been to a Black Angus in 25 years. They still have the nice high-back booths. They were serving a full turkey dinner, but everyone in our party opted for steak. We had a reservation, and were lucky to be seated within 10 minutes of arrival. The placed was packed full and our server was a little frazzled. I ordered the New York Steak, my wife had the Filet and our friends ordered the Ribeye and Top Sirloin. The New York was really bad (tough) and my wife did not like her Filet at all, saying it tasted almost like liver. Our friends actually liked their steaks, though. I know better than to order a New York at a place like BA. The appetizer (fried zucchini) was actually quite good, and the sides (baked potato, green beans and mac and cheese were all very tasty. They had a limited menu on Thanksgiving. I would go back, but my wife and I would certainly order different items. read more

The bar Manager, took it back, after talking me into it, ( as I hate complaining at restaurants for a makeover of my food for fear of being poisoned or food spat in), but she was apologetic and told me that it was not a waste nor a problem to correct my order. The manager stated that she would give the messed up order to her dog which made me feel better about returning it for correction. I do wish that we had stuck to the happy hour menu like we planned but, of course the guy next to me had a steak which made me want one! We ended up having a great time hanging out making 2hr friends to laugh and joke with. YES 2 HOUR FRIENDS I named one "LEMON DROP" because he wanted one but not in the "fancy glass" so we teased him when he ended up with one. He and his pal made for bar fun!
