We ended up here because other restaurants in the area were overly crowded and this spot was perfect for seating with no wait nor was it crowded! Olivia the bartender, works really hard!!! I am shocked at how these restaurants can't get enough employees leaving THOSE WHO do work, to handle it all!!! This Lady was pulled in so many directions that I'm surprised that she didn't walk out! The Manager jumped in to help her, thankfully! I felt so bad that, I almost applied right on the spot just to jump in and help! In any case, we kept her laughing and entertained while she worked. HOPEFULLY IT MADE HER NIGHT!!! The drinks were great! I was not happy about the food because first, we had to wait almost an hour to get it and then once it came out my steak was not what I ordered and they gave me 2 pieces of broccoli stems which was a joke!!! The bar Manager, took it back, after talking me into it, ( as I hate complaining at restaurants for a makeover of my food for fear of being poisoned or food spat in), but she was apologetic and told me that it was not a waste nor a problem to correct my order. The manager stated that she would give the messed up order to her dog which made me feel better about returning it for correction. I do wish that we had stuck to the happy hour menu like we planned but, of course the guy next to me had a steak which made me want one! We ended up having a great time hanging out making 2hr friends to laugh and joke with. YES 2 HOUR FRIENDS I named one "LEMON DROP" because he wanted one but not in the "fancy glass" so we teased him when he ended up with one. He and his pal made for bar fun! We went here on Thanksgiving Day this year. Hadn't been to a Black Angus in 25 years. They still have the nice high-back booths. They were serving a full turkey dinner, but everyone in our party opted for steak. We had a reservation, and were lucky to be seated within 10 minutes of arrival. The placed was packed full and our server was a little frazzled. I ordered the New York Steak, my wife had the Filet and our friends ordered the Ribeye and Top Sirloin. The New York was really bad (tough) and my wife did not like her Filet at all, saying it tasted almost like liver. Our friends actually liked their steaks, though. I know better than to order a New York at a place like BA. The appetizer (fried zucchini) was actually quite good, and the sides (baked potato, green beans and mac and cheese were all very tasty. They had a limited menu on Thanksgiving. I would go back, but my wife and I would certainly order different items. read more

Pretty disappointed in this location, things started off great as far as our starters but the drinks were wrong. Which we decided to over look but after a 35 minute wait, our steaks were served. My husband a prime rib, that was over cooked and I, a ribeye, that actually came out as a NY strip. We sent it back and was finally given the correct cut of steak but it honestly looked like it was microwaved till done then thrown on the grill for grill marks. My husband and I are from Iowa where cow are plenty with an abundance of steak houses. We've had some of the best steak America has to offer. Tonight we needed steak. Normally we look at reviews before we head out but instead wound up at Black Angus on a whim and a prayer. Wow were we pleasantly suprised and grateful to find one of the best Primes and Filet we both have ever had! Not only the food but our server Laurie was an absolute gem. She was prompt, attentive, and responsive. It's like she read our minds. We never had to ask for anything. The decor upon entering is fun but the dining room is a little dated. Very poor quality meats (ribeye and prime rib), baked potato soup was inedible, and cheesy bread was nothing like it used to be. Lobster tail was fine as was the Ceasar salad. I had an outstanding visit to this Black Angus from the moment I walked in. The hostess greeted me warmly, with a smile and a ready table. When I indicated I needed to use the ladies room,she motioned to the table and gave restroom directions and said a plate would be waiting for me when I returned, which it was. My water with lemon was quick to arrive, as was my waiter, who apologized for not getting over faster. I hadn't been into a Black Angus for years and needed a minute, anyway.
