On a side note, this was a request of Mr. P, so I obliged him. The restaurant is a split between LJS and Taco Bell. HOWEVER, one cannot use the drive though nor the inside kiosk to order LJS food. The young man at the counter was nice enough. My order was placed with little fanfare. I get my drink cups at 1448. And I proceed to the drink counter. To my dismay, there is NO LEAF WATER! Yes, Joyce W., they don't serve iced tea!!!!! Hold the phone! I get a DP and some Gatorade G2 for the man. And I wait. I wait 15....yes, friends. FIFTEEN minutes for my order. Folks come and folks go. Folks eating in even complete the cycle before the food comes. I approached the counter, and the youth who had just taken my order 15 minutes earlier looked at me like I was a new face. I asked about the status of my order, and he asks my name and what I ordered. He goes to the back and suddenly my food appears. 1503. We ordered 2 number LS3, which are 6 shrimp and a side (I choose hush puppies). Mr. P had also requested an extra side of hush puppies. I had never had them before, so I assumed that they were small and got two extra orders. Boy! Was I surprised when I got home?! These hush puppies were ginormous. Mr. P advised me that they're supposed to be small balls, but these were huge! It looked like, and tasted like, someone took old hush puppies, dipped them in batter and shoved them back into the fryer. It was like biting into an oil ball. The 6 shrimp were good, but they were very small. One of mine I don't even think could qualify as a full shrimp, unless I got the runt of the litter! If it were my choice, I would not return to this hot mess of a restaurant. read more

The employees were nice but the quality of the food was subpar. The fish was overcooked and small. It smelled more fishy than Long John's usually smells and had dark bits like it had been cooked in old grease. The combo came with fries and hush puppies. 14 fries and 2 hush puppies. 14 fry pieces actually. This was a disappointing meal for more than $10. read more

I was told this was a great place, I stopped in 30 min before closing and and was told no table service after 8:30. This is not posted on the door or website, they close at 9. They said take out was available but when I ordered they said the grill was cleaned and turned off...now the time is 8:45. We work at the renaissance festival and count on this place ... not anymore,I think driving further to a better restaurant on a festival night is a better option. Ordered to go for 4 people. Got it home and one meal was missing, but got about twice the amount of chicken strips...and those things are what they call chicken strips now? Missing a coleslaw and a fish and fry meal. Always have loved LJ's, but this one is definitely off our list of places to order a meal from. I'm an essential worker, I drive a bus. I was very hungry after a long day at work and really wanted some fish. I looked it up on Google and it's said this LJS is open until 10pm. This is only partially correct, this location seems to have switched up the game, they have a homemade sign that says LJS orders only until 8pm and then Taco Bell from 8pm to 10pm. So not only did I not get my fish, but I got stuck in the drive-thru sandwiched between people that apparently like Taco Bell. (I get it, it's cheap, but it's nasty and doesn't even remotely resemble Mexican food) I have only been to this LJS four times in the past three years that I have lived in the area and there was a problem EVERY time! This is basically a Taco Bell. If you want LJS, go to Power & Baywood a few miles to the west of here. read more

Great is an understatement! Sensational is more like it! I went for the food and tremendously enjoyed the over-the-top experience which made me stay for the fun! Definitely repeat business by virtue of this alone! A huge shout out to Tammy and Crew for going over and beyond in not just the warm-hearted, zealous greeting which rounded out my first time experience at this location but also for the cooked to order perfection of my huge order! The food was delicious, hot, and thoughtfully prepared down to the golden brown (again delicious) hushpuppies which is a favorite! I called ahead as I was uncertain if this establishment truly was open as I'd never heard of this one in particular. The greeting I was given on the phone was endearing, kind, and welcoming! This prompted when I picked up my food to give a "thank you" card to Tammy which was well-deserved. What I didn't expect was the entire crew was awesome! I will be recommending this location to family, friends, and colleagues alike! What a blessing! You cannot possibly do better than this (unless they all get a huge promotion, bonuses and treated with same-said respect) and a mega-star 20-star rating! read more

Fish was great after we got home and added some lemon. Fries were decent. Hush puppies were amazing. Wait was a bit long for the fish and the three tacos were made immediately and then just sat there until the rest was made. Didn't enjoy that at all. Rating would have been a two or three due to the standard food. However, the service was great. Emily A, my cashier for the day was awesome. I fumbled around the menu for ever and she was patient and professional. Eventually I told her what I wanted and she found the best fit and ensured I would enjoy the hush puppies which I did very much. Even though the wait was long, she did let me know that the Long John's was made fresh and it would be a short wait. read more

I'm pregnant and just moved to the area and LJS caught my attention/cravings. We walk in (already an inconvenience that they don't allow you to order through the TacoBell drive thru part that's connected to it... walk up to the register and wait there forever to even be greeted to take our order. There were like 10 workers back there, half of them just chit chatting and ignoring us..looking dead at us and not saying a word. They finally take our order and took like 15 mins to get our food. As we sat and waiting for our food we noticed they did the same thing to the next guy waiting to have his order taken. Super unprofessional in every way possible. The manager needs to do something about this employees because they were just acting like they were at Highschool on their lunch between classes. read more

I've lived close to this restaurant for 6 years. I have never had a messed up order. The folks working that I've had the pleasure to deal with have always double if not triple checked my drive thru order. Always get plenty sauces with my order, and its always fresh and hot. The food is as good as any other LJS chain I've been to which is what I like. Consistency! So what if the dining room is closed right now? Great group of people that work here! Worth the wait in the drive thru if you like fresh food of this style! Will continue to frequent this establishment! read more

The fact that they will not substitute more chicken or fish for the family meal sides, LIKE ALL THE OTHER LOCATIONS DO, is utter BS. Go to a different location as this one obviously doesn't train their employees worth a damn. I definitely WILL NOT be returning to this particular location. Not to mention the cashier was rude when I asked for the substitutions. Again, I advise going to a different Long Johns, & avoid this one like the plague. read more
